Chapter Text
My love for you will never burn out
The world couldn't ever keep me away from you my Nightshade…
What had they done to experience such suffering? They did everything right! They had prayed, gone to church every single day, and done what they were told by those above them… So why did they take their partner away? Was it something required? What were they thinking of course it was!
The spawn had demanded a sacrifice, and that sacrifice was his partner Two-time… it shook him to his core when his mentor phosphorous had approached him with this task in his office, Azure was devastated to hear this. Why did it have to be them?! Phosphorus reassured them that Two time should be honored to be a sacrifice it meant that they and Azure would both get their second lives ascending together.
This didn't eased Azure’s worries, can they really go through with this? He decided to speak with two time privately through writing them a letter asking them to meet up with them at the Nightshade Field. He finished writing the letter before taking the dagger he acquired from Phosphorous to complete his mission. Their heart was racing for some reason was it fear, adrenaline, excitement? They didn't want to know.
Treading along the gravel path they spotted two time gardening as usual. They can remember when they first met two time he was garhering wood for the commune then they came out of nowhere, he thought they were an elf due to their long ears and tail. He wasn't too informed about elves. They're getting off track they need to complete the mission, they cannot fail their mentor.
Two stopped to take a break before they spotted Azure out of the corner of their eye. “Azure!” They quickly dashed over to embrace him. “How are you my liac? I hope your day has been blessed the spawn herself,” they said to him. He never understood why two time had given them the nickname liac, it must be because of the flower’s meaning. He would inquire about that matter another time. For now, he would enjoy this moment with the light of his life. phosphorus words were sitting at the back of their mind, waiting to be heard clearly…
