Chapter Text
It had been a normal day, a bit chilly sure, but normal none the less. Sonic and his friends had gone out to do whatever, or actually calling them friends might be wrong.
Tails and Knuckles?
Definitively his friends.
Shadow?
It was complicated with him. They weren’t trying to constantly kill each other, but there was most certainly some tension in between them.
Amy?
It was… complicated with her too. While yes, he most certainly enjoyed her company, there was also something else there. Whenever he looked at her, it felt like everything brightened a bit, and his stomach felt weird.
But back to the story. They had been out doing whatever, mainly playing baseball and some hide and seek. That was at least, until Tails got notified of something on his watch. He looked down at it as the gang sat and ate.
”What’s going on Tails?” Sonic asks as he looks over to the fox. Tails looks up at him.
”Theres a massive energy output, I don’t know what kind of energy, but it is out of this world, literally it seems” Tails explains. Before anyone can say anything back to the statment, a massive explosion happens not too far away. Massive amounts of red energy, it looked like some kind of ball before turning into a bunch of red lightning.
”I’m guessing thats were the energy came from” Knuckles said. Tails nodded. Shadows and Sonic looked at each other and nodded. They quickly began carrying the gang to where the explosion had happened.
The crater was about a hundred meters across, and maybe twenty meters deep. The gang made their way down and now clearly saw three people. The first one that started moving was a red wolf like person. He locked eyes with Sonic and he stood up.
”You look…” the wolf began, he had a bit of a russian accent. Sonic jokingly finished it for him.
”Cute?” he said.
”weird, I guess” the red wolf answered. Sonic sulked a bit. The red wolf had what seemed like tactical gear on him, just without a bulletproof vest, or helmet. He had a pistol in his hip with a weird red pistol like weapon on the other side of his hip.
”Which leads me to believe, you’re not my version of Sonic” the red wolf said. The rest of the gang looked confused by what he said. The wolf gathered himself and stuck out his hand for a handshake. Sonic took it.
”Names Gadget, I helped you in my universe” Gadget said after shacking Sonic’s hand.
”How do we know if you are telling the truth?” Knuckles asked. Gadget quickly looked him up and down.
”I guess there are some similarities between our worlds” Gadget said.
”If you don’t believe me, then you can ask either one of them” Gadget said as he gestured towards the other two, both of which were asleep. He walked over to them and checked their pulses before speaking.
”After they wake up of course” Gadget says. He looks up again and sees Amy holding her hammer. Gadget visibly looks a little more stressed when he saw it. He lightly nipped one of the people in the back of the neck.
”Ow!” she yelled as she got up.
”Good morning Lanolin, I need you to talk to them, please?” he asked, he sounded like he was halfway to begging. The sheep woman looked at the gang and looked surprised, and a bit annoyed.
Later and far away. Tom is seen dancing to his music as he makes coffee. The sun is up and he is getting ready for his job. As he quietly hums along, he hears a knock on the door. He turns his music off and heads to the door. He opens it.
The man on the other side is tall with a black suit with some white stripes on it. He has a large red ruby on his tie, that seemed to be pulsing with some strange energy. The man’s hair was black and slicked back, with a white stripe on each side. His skin is white and he would appear to be young. One of his eyes are blue and the other is yellow. He has his hands in his pockets. The suited man speaks first.
”Hello, Tom”
