- Psychological intimidation through the use of traumatic imagery : At the end of the code line dinner, Phayu intentionally frightens Rain by recounting a gruesome story of a local student who was murdered and sexually assaulted. He uses this horrific narrative not out of genuine concern, but as a tool to cultivate a sense of extreme vulnerability and fear in Rain, making himself appear as the only safe harbor (he engineered) in a world he describes as violent and predatory.
- "No, I am not, but it’s raining like this and it’s midnight. How many taxis are still running and if there are ? If you wait here alone you don’t know what’s going on, it’s pretty lonely at night, the shop has all the lights off. Well, I saw the news a few days ago that someone found the body of a student who had been murdered and raped in the next alley, dismembered until the blood was splattered all over..."
- Deliberate sabotage, deception, and entrapment : Phayu intentionally causes damage to Rain's vehicle to engineer a meeting. This establishes their entire relationship on a foundation of deception and a manufactured crisis, where Phayu presents himself as the ' savior ' for a problem he himself created.
- “So, I put a screwdriver under the car, aim a little bit, and knock. Well, luck had have gone according to my plan, you got soaked in the shop while driving.”
- "The part I said the radiator leak was a lie, but the starter problem was real. The starter really had a problem. Actually, a little knock is enough to get it to start enough for you to take the car home. But whatever I had to do, I was just doing a handful of hit and smacks and it was broken.
- Sexual coercion and physical restraint : Under the guise of discussing payment for the car repairs, Phayu forces Rain onto a bed and touches him without his consent.
- "Well, we are going to talk about the cost."
- “Phii Phayu isn’t asking for money, but... the body.”
- "At the end of the word, a sharp face tucked into the crevice of his neck, his mouth warmed against the white skin, the tentacles rubbed the smooth skin until Warain flinched, and he was stunned when his huge palm was digging deep under his thin nightgown and stunned the cold big hand that rubbed against the abdomen sheet, causing his face to turn red."
- “Let me go, Phii... you are misunderstanding.”
- “Phii...stop...”
- ““Stop, I’m not joking Phii Phayu!” He pushed his chest wildly, screaming out loud, while the person who listened raised his body.”
- “Go and die, you bastard!”
- “Jeez fuck! I’m not seducing you. I never thought of it... such a nice face, but bad manners. I’m telling you that even if you put the money in front of me. I won’t open my legs to you!”
- Malicious threat of collective sexual violence and dehumanization : When Rain attempts to flee Phayu's room after a night of intense psychological and physical pressure, Phayu stops him by suggesting that his own staff would gang-rape him if he stepped outside. By framing his employees as potential predators and describing the aftermath of such an assault in graphic, humiliating terms, Phayu asserts a terrifying form of control, positioning himself as a 'benevolent' captor compared to the 'swarm' outside, it's a big fat lie by the way, but Rain doesn't know that.
- “Oh, so just you should know. The shouting you made just now probably has caused the whole garage to wake up, and with this kind of state you are in...you wouldn’t be able to escape more than three steps, they will swarm you and their legs won't be able to close after they are done with you.”
- Emotional cruelty and mockery of physical pain : After Phayu's actions cause Rain to physically hurt himself (such as falling off a bed), Phayu reacts with amusement and mockery rather than care. He uses Rain's pain as an opportunity to further belittle him, reinforcing the idea that Rain's suffering is a joke or a deserved consequence of his "stubbornness".
- “If you like to sleep on the floor, I won’t tell.”
- "The person in the bed didn’t help at all, he only aggravated him... looking at him with amusing eyes embarrassed.. "
- Physical intimidation and confinement : Phayu uses his physical size to block Rain from leaving the room, trapping him before opening the door to let him go in the "morning after" the attempted rape and threat of gang rape, pfeww, someone needs a cigarette (definitely not me...).
- "In no time, a tall figure stepped closer to his back."
- "A large hand reached over and placed his hand on the doorknob, perfectly using his massive body as a prisoner’s cage."
- Deliberate social humiliation and reputation sabotage : Phayu allows and even encourages his employees to believe that Rain is sexually involved with him in a submissive or "owned" capacity. By letting the garage workers mock Rain with knowing smiles after Rain flees his room, Phayu ensures that Rain feels isolated and judged by the community around him, further pushing him into Phayu's exclusive sphere, yeah Rain thinks of the workers as "bad guys" because the night before Phayu told him they would all sexually assault him if he didn't stay the night, also I think that smiling at your boss "conquest" of the night is just bad form, it's just a way to encourage the behavior on both sides, it's a vicious circle.
- "That’s all, Rain ran away, grabbed his bag, and quickly left the room, despite the agony of hearing the roaring laughter behind him... and the worst part of all, the bad guys who came to work in the morning looked at him with a smile as if he had just lost his virginity to the garage owner!"
- “Who said Phii Phayu was so good ? It’s me who is saying that he is extremely evil.”
- Coercive leveraging of financial debt and derogatory labeling : Phayu exploits a verbal agreement regarding car repairs to trap Rain in a transactional relationship he never fully consented to. By calling Rain a "sugar baby" and implying that his physical presence or compliance is the "expensive" payment for the service, Phayu demeans Rain's character and uses the repair costs as a leash to pull him closer. Because in the book when Rain hear "expensive", he just remember his father's black card, definitely not what Phayu had in mind, but he didn't say it clearly so... his loss on the sexual gratification ? I mean if you go to repair your car and the person tells you it's expensive, would you really think that you need to use your body instead of eating ramen for the next month ?.
- “So, you forgot that I told you from the beginning that the payment of the service is expensive. Then a certain sugar baby told me that he can afford it.”
- Sexual assault and coercive bargaining : Phayu traps Rain in a university bathroom, touches him non-consensually, and uses the physical violation to force Rain into making a promise, it's preceded by Phayu trying to shame publicly about what Phayu almost did to Rain (I mean, the book calls it like that, I think it's Phayu who should be ashamed but what cab you do ?).
- "Before thinking carefully, Warain pushed the big man’s chest back into the toilet, followed in, then slammed the door shut, almost before a large group of men came in to do business but breathed a sigh of relief."
- "As Phayu’s large hand was rubbing his chest until he was completely flushed, sweat dripping from his back in fear."
- “the same hand had changed to unbutton his student’s shirt one by one until Rain could only wriggle, and then went mad.”
- "Rain, you have to promise that you won’t be rude to Phii Phayu again...speak."
- Sexual harassment and deliberate humiliation : Phayu buys Rain highly inappropriate underwear without his consent to mock and humiliate him about their previous physical encounters, yeah that's the underwear scene, not a biggie unless you put all those together.
- "Because the L-size shirt is not his size were the shirt... but something that fell between the shirt and pants made his eyes look bigger than a goose egg."
- “He had already realized that what he bought was the right size because that little piece of cloth wouldn’t be a size S. That was already embarrassing, but the form was even more embarrassing…”
- "Who would be crazy to wear a G-string ! "
- Physical abuse and abduction : Phayu forcefully carries Rain against his will and repeatedly strikes him (non consensual spanking after catching Rain at the races) as a form of physical punishment, there is no "my mouth said no but my body said yes" and even if there was, that's bullshit, getting a boner can come from your nervous system getting fried and not understanding what's happening and thinking "might as well get a stiffie". Consent is not getting a boner.
- "He was stuffed into the car, Rain was so shocked that he had no time to rampage."
- “Even when the car stopped, Rain was still unconscious until the driver’s door opened, and the owner of the car pulled his arms across his shoulders, exerting his strength by carrying him over his shoulder again.”
- “Let go of me, I told you to let go.”
- "Rain cried out in pain as the bearer didn’t answer with a word but just smacked his butt on the bottom, causing his head to hurt."
- “Let me go, how dare you to hit me... Ouch!”
- “When he was yelling, a large hand landed on the other round bottom until he cried loudly, tears filled with pain.”
- "Scream again and there is another smack for you."
- “The person was sobbing in pain instead of answering, he did not dare to cry and did not dare to shout, and did not dare to wag. - Verbal abuse and belittlement : Phayu repeatedly insults Rain's intelligence, berating him and calling him stupid to the point of tears, that's just before the moment Rain challenges Phayu, he still think of him as a bad guy but he is getting pissed of being belittled and thinks that's the only way because the God has thwarted all his attempt to come back at him (and not in an abusive way like his aggressor).
- "Do you think that you are grown up or think that you just cry and ask your parents for help and the story will end ?"
- "You stupid !"
- Intentional engineering of dependency through neglect and power plays : Phayu frequently asserts his dominance by making Rain wait for him for hours at the garage without communication. This is a calculated method to wear down Rain's resolve and emphasize the power imbalance in their relationship, showing Rain that his time and presence are secondary to Phayu's schedule, also the second quote comes from Aon, who took care of entertaining Rain during those two hours. This one is a little iffier in the scheme of things because when Phayu learned Rain was here, he tried to be quick about his work, however he also mentioned that he didn't expect Rain to come directly to the garage and was about to go "again" to the university to get Rain.
- “Oh, Khun Phayu ? You have arrived ? Rain has been waiting for you for two hours.”
- “Of course, the boss’s eyes were terrifying.”
- Coercion through the withholding of sexual relief : During their sexual encounters, Phayu uses Rain's physical arousal against him by stopping and refusing to continue until Rain utters specific, degrading titles like "wife". This is a clear example of using a person's physiological state to force a psychological surrender and the adoption of a toxic possessive label.
- “If you don’t speak, I am not going to continue.”
- “Quick say...Rain will be Phii Phayu’s wife now.”
- Toxic possessiveness and forced claiming : Phayu engages in extremely toxic possessive behavior, forcing Rain to adopt titles that signify ownership and asserting dominance over him, okay the wife/husband is canon, doesn't mean I have to like it. The "belong to me" has no place in a relationship though, "say hi to my new appliance, I call it Rain".
- "Be my wife ?"
- "Rain, you belong to me."
- Leveraging familial shame and the threat of exposure : To force Rain into a state of undress and physical compliance (when Rain is sick and back to his parents' house), Phayu threatens to involve Rain's mother. He uses the boy's fear of his family discovering the nature of their relationship—or the compromising position he is in—to silence his protests and perform non-consensual medical applications that Rain explicitly refuses.
- “Rain, if you make a noise, your mother will come up to the room, and you don’t want her to see...”
- “So, you will let me apply the drug nicely ?”
- Humiliation and coercive physical intervention : Phayu forces Rain to expose himself for a medical application, framing the uncomfortable and non-consensual exposure strictly as a threat and punishment, also the touching, sexual assault all other again.
- "I count from one to three. If it’s three, I won’t be merciful."
- "Rain spread his toes wide and covered his face, exposing the secret to those who had been exploring all night uncovered."
- "No, I am not teasing, I am punishing the stubborn boy."
- ““Enough Phii. Enough.” The boy’s trembling voice tightly gripped Phayu’s wrist, shook his head strongly, and looked pleadingly. But that’s not the case with someone willing to stop.”
- “No... I don’t want to, uh.”
- Predatory voyeurism and objectification : Phayu often stares at Rain's body in a way that makes him visibly uncomfortable, focusing on specific physical attributes like his nipples or stomach while Rain is in a vulnerable state (such as being tired or sick). This gaze is not one of affection but of a hunter assessing his prize, stripping Rain of his dignity.
- "Which was like calling Phayu’s eyes looking straight at it.”
- “Even the bigger the bigger the tank top, the more that it peeks out to see the stiff light-colored nipples."
- Gaslighting and shifting blame : Phayu manipulates situations to make Rain feel at fault for Phayu's own lack of sexual control or aggressive actions.
- "Then why did you come to sleep with your belly open to tempt me ?"
- "Rain because you act so cute, I can’t stand it anymore !"
- Sexual assault and violation of a sleeping victim : Phayu admits to touching and taking advantage of Rain while the younger man was unconscious or asleep. Instead of showing remorse for this violation of boundaries, he uses the situation to gaslight Rain, suggesting that Rain was " tempting " him by the way he was sleeping, thereby shifting the blame for the assault onto the victim.
- “How do you know I assaulted you ? When I come in, you are already sleeping with your belly open.”
- Physical restraint and the prevention of flight : During a moment of high tension where Rain recognizes Phayu's predatory intent, he attempts to physically distance himself. Phayu responds by grabbing Rain's ankle and pulling him back, demonstrating that Rain's physical freedom is entirely subject to Phayu's whims and that any attempt to leave will be met with force.
- "The person who leaped to the other side of the sofa screamed and tried to pull his leg back when Phayu grabbed his ankle. His eyes widened, he understood what the word replicate meant...Phii Phayu would do it again !"
- Emotional manipulation and threatening behavior : Phayu uses fear to control Rain's future actions by threatening him with severe, vague consequences if he ever looks at someone else, this is the scene where Phayu comes when he here’s Ple is present while on the phone with Rain.
- ““Hey, but I didn’t do anything wrong.” The boy asked for justice, and Phayu pressed a kiss on the cheek hard and pulled away.”
- "Yes, you did wrong to make me jealous, but if you cheat on me, you know what a person like me would do."
