Chasing Cars
It's been a few weeks since Buck came back to the 118. Buck gets a call from Aaron Hotchner that they might need his help on a case that they have in LA. So Buck meets them at MidWilsheir. Buck and Morgan are sent to meet with the victim's boyfriend. When Buck gets shot in the stomach and Derek calls 9-1-1. He also calls Hotch after the ambulance gets there. They get Buck LA General Hospital and they check his emergency contact is Bobby Nash. The nurse calls him as they take Buck straight into surgery knowing he is on blood thinners.
At the Grant-Nash Household.
Bobby is cooking dinner for Athena and the kids. When he hears a knock at the door. There stood Aaron and David. I’m Aaron Hotchner and this is David Rossi. May we come in, Hotch asks? I’m so sorry we have to tell you this but Evan Buckely has been shot David said. What do mean he's been shot, Bobby asks with a broken voice because the kid who he was trying to protect just got shot. He was helping us with a case. I sent him and Derek Morgan to go meet a victim’s boyfriend and the next thing Morgan is calling saying that Evan got shot , Aaron said. Why was he helping you, Bobby asks? Sir Evan Buckely is an FBI agent he has been on leave for a while but he helps us from time to time on case. This time should’ve been no different but it wasn’t now we need you to come to the hospital with us they rushed him into surgery as we were leaving to come get you David said. So he is alive as of right now Bobby asks as the tears roll down his face not caring that Buck is an FBI but more that his son was shot and that he wasn’t there for him. Okay I need to get some stuff for him, Bobby said. He runs up stairs and gets his LAFD hoodie that Buck steals when he is there because it's bigger than his and he says it makes it more cozy. He gets the blanket that he uses and all of the things he knows Buck loves but won’t say that he does. As he is going to walk out the door Athena and the kids walk up and Athena sees his face and she know something is wrong she sends May and Harry inside and Bobby broke and Buck got shot and Athena runs inside and tells May to keep an eye on Harry and to call Micheal to come get them. That is all she says knowing that there is not enough time to say anything else. Athena drives her and Bobby because he can’t.
At the hospital
They get to the hospital Bobby hasn’t said a word since he told her about Buck. She starts to text everyone because Bobby is like a ghost. The Doctor comes out. Hi I’m Doctor Megan Hunt I’m our son’s surgeon. Is he going to make it Bobby asks ? I’m very hopeful that he will make a full recovery. He will be on bed rest for about six weeks and after a few more weeks he will be able to be in the field firefighting and being an agent, Dr Hunt said. So he is okay. Will I be able to see him soon, Bobby asks? Yes he is being moved to recovery and I will have a nurse come get you in about ten minutes , Dr Hunt says. Thank you, Bobby said. I will see you in a few hours to check on Mr. Buckely Bobby cuts her off saying Buck please call him Buck that is what he goes by , Bobby said. Of course I’m sorry, Megan said. The nurse came up to Megan and said that Evan was in recovery. Bobby walks into the recovery room and sees he’s the boy who he sees as a son laying there. He grabs Buck’s hand and he just stares at him. Athena walks into the room and hands Bobby a cup of coffee. How is he doing, Athena asks? He is starting to wake up. Can you grab the nurse for me please , Bobby asks? An intern comes in and takes out the tube. Bobby,Buck said. Yeah kid I’m right here I’m not going anywhere just rest , Bobby said. I’m sorry I got shot, Buck said. You don’t need to say sorry buddy it wasn’t your fault that you got shot, So the doctor said you will be out in about a week then six weeks of bed rest and then you will be able to come back to work, Bobby said with tears in his eyes. I don’t have any Buck starts to say but Bobby cuts him off and says you are staying with me whether you want to or not, Bobby said. You don’t have to take care of me, Buck said. I know I don’t have to but want to take care of my kid because I couldn’t protect you here but I do everything in my power to keep you safe for now on, Now go to sleep you need it,Bobby said. So do you, Buck said. I will get some, Bobby said as they both close their eyes.
A few hours later Hen and Karen show up saying that they were at the Zoo with Denny and didn’t look at their phones until they were getting in the car. Athena walks up to them and tells them what happened and they are the first from the team to show up. Then someone comes running in and sees Reid. What happened he asks in a breaking voice. I’m so sorry Tommy we tried to call you, Reid said. I was on back to back calls. I just got Derek's message but Bobby is with him right Tommy said. Yeah he is , JJ said. I think he is going to stay with them because Bobby was pretty shaken up when he got here, Hotch said. That is good oh my god I completely ran past Hen and Segarent Grant-Nash when I saw you guys Tommy said. You must be Athena Grant-Nash I’m Tommy Evan’s boyfriend
