"HMMPh..!" The pathetic rabbit girl grunted at her failed attempt at lifting the sturdy firm cardboard box. She bent down once more, digging her cuffed claw-like hands underneath the stubborn package.
*POP*
Poor rabbit landed on her bum from that stupid heavy box. The only thing that changed was how lightweight her torso was. Then, the realization hit them like a flying kettle at difficulty 10.
"$#!T, not again.." she said.
"Eugggh, hate it when this happens" muttered under their breath.
Sitting on the sun-kissed cobblestone of the Royale High School Campus was well, a bit awkward. Making an absolute fool of herself in front of old and new peers.
In reality, no one bothered nor cared, this was considered the norm of their humble world.
"Greetings! Getting distracted like always, huh?" A snarky but cold tone snapped her from their trance of thoughts. They looked up at the well-dressed, all-in-black chromatic figure. Whose presence was blocking out all forms of visual light. Only a few rays shone in between the antlers on their head. Which caught the grasp of her pebble-eyed view.
"Pfft, you know staring at the sun can not only damage your vision, but it can yellow out your plastic. Especially in your case," He continued, "you rarely see genuine white plastic, unless you're a guest. " He made a pointing gesture at her right arm laying on the cobble path.
"Ahaha, sooo funny. Can you PLEASE pick my arms up instead of educating me on my rare skin condition."
"Oh, I completely forgot the reason why I came here. Let me help you out then." They exclaimed, squatting down and plucking up the two limp arms. He then walked over to the sides of her torso and snapped the two flimsy limbs back on, making a new sound,
*Click.*
He hummed a distant melody for a bit and then spoke up, "So I heard you're dropping out? Is that correct?"
She sighed and tried wiggling her newfound arms.
"Uhm, you need to push harder on this side, I can barely feel my right arm!!" They struggled to move the righty, just barely bringing it up to attempt a clumsy wiggle.
"Don't do that, you could loosen it up even more!!" Scolded the sleek figure.
"Jeez Mirai, just flexin' your SHODDY work!" A burst of laughter shot up. Definitely catching some students' attention.
"Yeah, thanks a lot, Stuff. Just next time, give me some BETTER constructive criticism, please?"
Here he had to squat down, trying to pop this ignorant arm in, again. Hell, he could've sworn he witnessed someone reset nearby. Maybe there was an oddly identical right-arm mix-up?
"Heh, I'm just kiddin' around, Pixie Dust." A giggle snuck out.
Mirai rolled their eyes in response..
He then walked a few studs back.
"Aha, I got it!" They nodded and backed up a bit more, securing a deep grip on the plush soft arm. Their body already locked in a running position.
"Stuff, on a count of 3 studs...." He cleared his throat with a short 'Ahem', "I AM GOING...TO...CHARGE...AT..."
"WHAT!" Everything felt in and out. She didn't lose her ears, right? No, they were glued to her head by her parents, loong story.
Darting at a fast pace, holding the arm like a proud and noble football player, this was the goal to plant the win.
Or so it seems..
WAABOOOSH...
"OOF"
A high-pitched squeal, not in delight, had erupted
Stuff's limp body flunked like a wooden plank with a loud THUD. It's like she was playing dead, beheaded without a head.
Then there was Mirai, awkwardly laying on top of the "corpse," flustered as ever.
He looked and locked eyes on the body underneath, instead of "blood" gushing out from wherever it would come. There was a white peg that stuck out like a sore stub. Mirail's eyes widened a bit, staring down deeply at the peg. He looked lost and horrified. This was something he learned waaaaay back in biology, right? This was basic anatomy, and everyone knew that, right?
"MIRAI!!!"
"MIRAI, GET OFF MY BODYP!!"
"Oh, huh..uhh.." Light pink decorated his face all around.
"S-Sorry about that, I'll just.." Trying to climb off the not-so-dead corpse. "
"Pfft, change of plans..'' Scoffed Stuff, the body immediately sat itself up, Mirai got flung off and landed back first on the cobblestone path.
"Jeez, t-that's a strong body you've got..." He woke up, that's for sure, already alarmed and prepared for what's next.
Mirai swept off the loose stones and dirt on his sable suit, unwrinkling their sleeves collar and tightening his slick tie. He'd sigh and walk back to the new sentient body, still missing its ignorant head.
At least that blasted arm was finally on right.
He would make sure he wouldn't put Stuff's head not in her ass this time. Maybe if it was actually on her head, she wouldn't be dropping out so early.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
"There, that's the last of it..." He sighed, placing down the last cardboard box on the tremendous stack.
Mirai stretched, making his arms clockwise and counterclockwise. Clearing his throat as he began,
"So, care to explain why you're dropping out?" This time he asked, impatient.
Stuff glanced over to look at Mirai, warm orange hues and yellows surrounded him, letting him blend and play pretend as a silhouette to the scenery of the castle.
"Oh, uhh yeah, it's just some of the courses here and there.." she laughed. "You'd think at a fantasy school like this one it would be more exciting!" Trying to amp up her voice with false enthusiasm.
"But ohhh nooo, it's just 'History of The Royal Valkyrie Warriors' and 'Different Types of Fairies and Their Biology'." Waving her hands that synced with her sarcastic tone.
"It's just not my cup of tea, NO pun intended" They said, placing a round circular pink and yellow box. "But uhh...errr, I've decided to move out from the Enchantraverse and start a new chapter."
"Mhm, yeah, that checks out, anyways.."
"...I was wondering if you'd like to go out to eat or something, after we drop all this stuff at your apartment?" He cleared his throat, "I know last time I visited here, there was a Pizza Place located somewhere in Diamond Beach."
"Oh yeah, about that..." She'd twiddled her cuffed hands and then swapped to scratch a slumped ear.
"So, no Pizza Place? Alright, we can do our usual hotspot, Build'a Brothers." Mirai slipped a hand into the pocket of his suit pants.
.......
"Yeaah, I'll just order instead or pick it up." He was now holding a glossy flat black flip-phone, with shiny elite 18k gold outlines and small diamonds that paired well with the lining. It was meant to be a gift from the OBC program before it started to "stop accepting future entries" or whatever that meant.
She softly spoke up, "I mentioned I'm moving out from this district, it also means I'm moving out from my apartment."
"Living here can be a little bit too, uhmm well, high-end for me. Especially when your places lo-cal is in the biggest shopping district in ROBLOXia." She went on, "Since I don't attend the high school anymore, I can't get the student-exclusive discount."
Stuff awkwardly waited for a response. Her two hands were hiding out in the combined pocket hoodie. While staring down in shame.
"Sooo uhhhh...."
He seemed a bit frustrated from the glance of it, Stuff's heart sank from the future fear of being yelled at by their long-time friend.
Mirai placed a cuffed hand on his face.
"Well, I guess you could bunk with me for the next few weeks."
She looked up, "Aww, really man?"
"Yeah, c'mon, let's pack it up in my ride, and will drop it off at my place." He grunted.
"Don't worry, I got this. Stand back ‘Rai." Stuff flashed an arm at him. Preventing him from stepping any closer to the clutter.
"TELA-PORTIX. ZAP! ZAP! ZAPPITY-"
