Plot brief

In the late 2000s, young hockey stars Ivan Romanov and Sean Haalanger meet at their first international tournament. They are equals in every way, Romanov, a Russian speed demon, Haalanger, a Canadian phenom. Their first meeting in the locker room before the final game of the tournament leaves them horny and panting, but ultimately unfulfilled.

Six months later, at the rookie draft for Hockey's Orignal League, Romanov and Haalanger meet again, both drafted for high powered teams. After the draft, Haalanger enters the gym of the hotel for a late night workout and Romanov shortly follows. Their chemistry is undeniable as they wordlessly compete with weights, rowing machines, and stationary cycles. The workout ends with mutual masturbation on the gym floor.

The month before their respective HOL debuts, Haalanger and Romanov meet in a sensual ad shoot on the ice, both posing partially-geared up. They meet up afterward in the showers where Romanov and Haalanger exchange handjobs.

After their first HOL game against each other, Sean and Ivan meet in a hallway of the arena. They have a steamy scene ending in the locker room. They next meet up at the All Star game, at which a more senior player, Scout Hunger, overhears Ivan giving Haalanger his room number. Ivan and Sean have very loud sex in their hotel room, unaware that Scout can hear every moment of it from next door.

The story then shifts to follow Scout as he meets Philip (Pip) Gatherer, at the açai bowl shop where he works. Scout and Pip have immediate chemistry, and Scout fellates Pip under the counter of the restaurant while he works, leaving unsatisfied when one of Pip's coworkers arrives.

That evening, Scout attends a fundraiser, and finds that the açai bowl restaurant is catering the desert. He asks Pip to join him for drinks afterward, and they adjourn to Scout's apartment where the drinks turn into something more intimate. During a lull in the action, Pip agrees to move in with Scout.

Scout, Romanov and Haalanger all go to the Olympics in Russia, where Romanov's team is embarrassingly defeated. Romanov meets up with a former flame, Sasha Petrovsky, at an Olympic event. Romanov brushes him off when Haalanger arrives with Hunger, Gatherer, and American figure skater Mike Landis. Petrovsky successfully propositions Landis, and suggests that Romanov, Gatherer, Hunger and Haalanger are all invited to join them, Romanov and Haalanger decline due to fear of being exposed, but Gatherer cajoles Hunger into joining. The foursome have lavish sex in a gilded bathroom with lots of mirrors.

Hunger and America win the gold medal game vs Canada and Haalanger, and the story shifts back to Haalanger and Romanov.

We see Haalanger stressed out backstage at the HOL year-end awards ceremony, where he is waiting for Romanov, who he has apparently not seen since the olympics. They present an award, and Romanov gropes Haalanger on stage. Exiting stage, Haalanger retreats to a bathroom where Romanov follows. They have an emotionally heated exchange that ends with Romanov giving Haalanger a blowjob in the bathroom and agreeing to rendezvous at Ivan's hotel room after the awards are over.

Their rendezvous following the awards ceremony is a play of dominance and submission, and leaves both physically sated but emotionally unsatisfied. Sean's departure from the hotel leads into a montage of smash cut scenes rapidly alternating between hockey footage and adult scenes of varying levels of explicitness, covering a time span of two years. Additionally, we see Haalanger and Romanov texting each other, and each player winning the HOL cup. Adult scenes and explicit texts including the HOL cup are included in the montage.

The montage ends with Haalanger getting injured on the ice, where we see Romanov emotionally troubled by the situation. Romanov visits Haalanger in the hospital, where Romanov tells Haalanger that Haalanger's injury made Romanov realize that he cares about him as a person, and he wants more from Haalanger than just sex. Haalanger says that he can't do that, and that they probably shouldn't see each other anymore if Romanov won't be happy with what Haalanger can offer. They part without saying more.

We then see a sad Romanov watching the HOL cup finals, which Scout is skating in, and Pip is watching from the stands. Scout wins the game and calls Pip down to the ice where they share a steamy kiss. We also see an injured Haalanger watching the cup finals, and when he sees Scout kiss Pip, he is visibly sad, and looks at his phone and brings up Romanov's contact before setting it down. The phone rings, it's Romanov. Haalanger picks up.

Cut to Sean welcoming Romanov to his summer lake home, where they have a heartfelt conversation in front of a fire at sunset, exchanging I love yous. They adjoin to bed where they have frantic sex before falling asleep and waking together.

The following morning they have sensual, emotional sex in bed in the light of the sunrise.
