The Third Chance

Summary:

The first place Yuder saw when he opened his eyes was not the high ceiling painted with a beautiful golden sun symbol that he expected to see. It wasn't the small barracks he always fell asleep and woke up in either. He was in an unfamiliar bedroom. His eyes immediately snapped open and he sat up disoriented. His head felt empty and lethargic, a momentary confusion setting in before he sharply takes in his surroundings and remembers what happened before he passed out.

_____
Basically a Turning reaction that takes place after the webcomic ends. Literally everyone is in the room

Notes:

Aghhh I will do a proof read later. Happy birthday to my beloved king and yuders lover Kishiar la Orr. I dont really know what to say hmm.
Basically, this will cover everything. And I mean, everything. Since the webcomic ends pretty short, I'll be making an interpretation for how certain characthers and places look so haha..I hope if this gets off hiatus im not wrong. Anyways, each chapter will probably have 10 chapters or be as long as this introduction probably longer because I hate short reaction fics. Um..also, since the eng translation of turning is almost impossible to find, I have to machine translate a raw version so some terms and genders might be messed up. Please bear with me or correct me but dont worry thats only around the hundreds chapter so for the first couple hundred there wont be any problem!

Please dont take my fic and spread it somewhere else and all these characters dont belong to me!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Prolouge

Chapter Text

Wooo!!! Turning reaction fic!!!

Timeline:The end of the webcomic. Right when Yuder passes out after getting healed.

Ps:If you notice some words or terms changed its because of the translation changing. Im using many different books to access the content of turning. haha....if youre a novel reader you should know how hard it is to find a stable Turning novel that dosent make you pay or end halfway...(ToT)

Anyways, dont know really what to say. Just know that each chapter will be very long. We'll be reacting to the Wiki first then the actual story. Each chapter will be 10 chapters minimum hehe. By the way! There's going to be a bunch of mysteries. You'll be solving it along with the characters

Characters: Calvary(like the whole calvary)
Every person that'll join the Calvary
Some nobles from the kingdom(Duke diarca, kiolle, etc etc
Rosa, Keliusa la Orr, kishiar la Orr, Katchian la Orr
Um..and more characthers will be revealed as we go.

This will cover everything!! The webcomic and novel. If you have any specific reccomendations they can react to that too!! Im only focused on cannon so the only ship that will probably be present is Yuder Alie x Kishiar la Orr and Rosax Kelisua!!

(BTW this fic will have a lott of yapping and novel spoilers.) This novel dosent belong to me this is simply a fanfiction.

When Nathan threw the magic stones into the furnace, multi-colored flames sprung up and radiated a bright light through the decorative holes. It wasn't long before the large space began to warm up.

"Are you going to start the treatment again?"

"I was going to... but you seem to be struggling. I'm thinking of calling it a day and continuing tomorrow. I called you for treatment, not to make you collapse. How about a cup of restorative tea before you go?"

Kishiar answered Yuder's question. However, Yuder immediately shook his head without hesitation. They had already exchanged almost all the reports and conversations they needed to have for the day. He had too much to do to waste more time.

"No. I prefer to get it over with quickly. Let's finish it all today."

"Are you sure?..."

Kishiar's crimson eyes scanned Yuder's face, still wetwith cold sweat, his flushed cheeks, and the inside of his unbuttoned shirt.

"Are you sure you're okay? It seems like you've reached your physical limit. Being stubborn isn't a good thing. If you pass out, the speed at which the Purification Stones absorb power will decrease."

"I'll be fine. I won't pass out."

Despite knowing that Kishiar's eye was accurate, Yuder responded firmly.

"Really?"

"Yes."

"Are you sure it's not that you feel pressured by my invitation to have tea?"

"I have no idea what you're talking about."

His heart skipped a beat, but Yuder feigned calm and replied as if he didn't understand what was being said. Thankfully, Kishiar didn't pursue the matter further, although he did tilt his head with a look of dissatisfaction."Something I said clearly didn't sit well with you... I can't guess what it might be, so I suppose it can't be helped. Very well. If you insist so strongly."

The hand wrapped in the divine seal picked up a handful of Purification Stones.

"It seems that as the discoloration darken, more divine power is required to remove them, so from now on, I'll increase the quantity and add holy water. Remember your promise not to pass out."

Kishiar opened a bottle of holy water that he had never used before and poured it without hesitation over the Purification Stones in his hand. Astonishingly, the holy water didn't drip down his hand but was absorbed directly by the stones. The Purification Stones, having absorbed a whole bottle of holy water, held much stronger divine power and emitted a transparent white light.

As soon as Kishiar's hand touched the back of his own, Yuder closed his eyes and gently bit his lower lip.

Soon, a pain so intense that it threatened to blacken his vision hit his entire body.

'Ah, that's right. After receiving treatment from Kishiar, I said I would return to my room...'

Yuder hadn't fainted until the discoloration on his arm was reduced to its original size, just as he had told Kishiar. The horrifying ordeal was endured in silence, a feat so impressive that even Nathan Zuckerman, who was simply observing, couldn't hide his admiration for Yuder's perseverance.

The problem occurred after the treatment was finished. He intended to get up and leave as soon as he put his clothes back on, but the moment he tried to stand, his strength drained from him.
And yet, he shouldve woken in a room he was familiar with. In all his years at being in the Calvary, hes never been in this room.

As he scans the room and stands up from the bed, he hears footsteps approaching his room. For some reason, his sword came with him despite him passing out without it. Still, he grabs it before waiting near the door ready to attack whoever is approaching. As he waits, the figure stops infront of the door and just stand there. All of a sudden, a voice comes from the other side.

"Hey! Stop standing next to the door damn it! I didnt come find you just to get ambushed!" Yuder's eyes widen at this familiar voice before silenty opening the door. "...Enon" He briefly wondered how Enon knew he was preparing for an ambush but he just chalks it up to one of the secrets Enon kept from him in his first life

Enon only sighs at Yuder's disbeliefed voice. "Yes yes its me so put that damn sword down damn it!"

Yuder awkwardly puts the sword down while Enon grumbles "...damn it..not only do you have me waiting for so many days for you, now all of a sudden me you and a bunch of other people were transported to this weird dimension and im sure you have something to do with it!"

Yuder catches the last statement through his rapid cursing and pauses "Everyone is here?"

"Isnt that what I just said?" Enon replied snarkily. "There's the Calvary, that commander of yours, some nobles and commoners and the royal family."

Yuder stays silent as he processes these words. It must've been an ability that sent him here...that would've been his first guess but hes never seen an ability that has this much power. Then....maybe it was the same thing that sent him spiraling back in the past. The same power..?

Enon glances at his face before seemingly coming to a conclusion. "Come on, let's go to everyone." He then turns on his heel and walks away without looking back. Yuder follows. As they walked down a hallway lined with rooms, Enon speaks up while Yuder scans everywhere pasting it in his mind

"We were all sent here around the same time. Abilities still work here. There's also...something watching us." As he says this, he glances at a random wall. "Do you know the cause of this?" Yuder asks.

"I was going to ask you the same thing. Why not use that freaky thing that for some reason let's you know shit about people you shouldn't know" Enon sounded a little bitter as he said that but it was understandable. Plus, he still didnt know the secrets surrounding Yuder but its obvious hes suspecting multiple things. He then clicked his teeth.

"Other than us and the other people, I dont sense any humans here. Still, the walls, the floor, just this place in general, its...unnatural. Like those holes in your soul. Thats the only way I can describe it."

Yuders brows furrowed but before he could ask more, they arrived to the main room.

"Yuder!" He turns to the voice and sees Kanna and Gakane running towards him. At their voice, the rest of the Calvary turn towards him in shock. "Yuder?!

As Kanna and Gakane approache him, they suddenly notice the figure next to him and falter slightly but Yuder waves them off saying its fine. Thats when Kanna finally speaks. "Were'd you come from? All of us teleported to this room yet you came from the hallway"

"I woke up in a bedroom. Whatever transported us all here, it must be strong since nobody was alerted" Especially me, he silenty thinks. Just someone transporting him to a room unconscious or not without even alerting him is unheard of.

"..So I assume that man briefed you on everything?" Gakane says, briefly glancing at Enon to the point where he gains a permanent tick in his eyebrows.

"Yes. And the names Enon" He grumbles while Yuder points to him. "He saved my life so dont worry" Enon's expression twitches at that but he dosent comment on it. He just adds it to his catalog of things he suspects with Yuder. When Kanna and Gakane hear Yuder's words, their eyes light up and they loose all hostility they had towards Enon.

"Well, a friend of Yuder is a friend of us" Ever says, walking over with the Calvary after overhearing our conversation. Enon just grunts in reply.

"Where's the Commander?" Yuder asks after glancing around. "Hes at the royal table. They're discussing our next actions." Yuder turns to the table and sees the crown prince, emperor, empress, and kishiar discussing the situation. Next to the table, is multiple tables of diffrent factions and Noble families. Then another table has seemingly random citizens. After a small silence, the Eldore twins walk over with Jimmy. Jimmy speaks first "Yuder! Its good to see you were transported with us. It feels a lot safer with you here. But...do you think this is an ability?" The rest of the Calvary listen, that question in their minds too.

"No. It cant be. No ability should be this strong able to teleport dozens of people without their knowlege" Yuder replies making the rest of their faces turn iffy. If it wasn't an ability then what was it? 'Even in my past life, even if awakened manifested and gained stronger powers, their shouldn't be a power this strong.'

"Im more worried about something else" Steiber speaks from the back. "If we all are here, then what's happening back in the kingdom. As it seems, the Calvary should be gone, the royal family, and multiple other important figures" Many members eyes widen at this fact they brushed over. As they all huddle together in both panic and plotting, Yuder sense someone approaching them and turns around.

There hes hit face to face with Kishiar's bright face despite their grim situation. "Commander...."

"Well, it seems even my dear aide was transported here too. The threat must be so serious that even you were able to be transported despite being unconscious!"

"...are you mocking me?" Yuder asks while deadpanning and Kishiar laughs silently before directing his head to a side room.

"Come on. Let's talk there."

Yuder steps into the room and finds its nicely decorated. Now that he thinks of it, this whole place was fully furnished and pretty large considering it fit hundreds of people.

"..you noticed it too right?" Kishiar said as if reading his mind. "This place somehow transported dozens of awakeners and over a hundred people without not one person catching wind of it. Not to mention, with a place this big, why have we never heard of it? Why dont abilities work on the walls and why is their no exit. Also, dont you notice something...watching us?" Kishiar finished while Yuder frowns in thought

"And this definitely cant be the power of an Awakener. If the culprit was able to transport all of us without alerting anyone especially the Commander and myself, then their power must be incomprehensible..." Yuder frowned even more, wondering how they're supposed to counter this.

"Now now. Dont be so pessimistic my dear aide." Kishiar said softly as if trying to soothe his worries. "Dont immediately assume this is the work of someone above us. There's many ways to advance powers you know, not to mention, advancements that might have not been released to the public. Also, even knowing how to do all this, it dosent mean they overpower us. After all, every power is not omnipotent. It will have a draw back."

Yuder finally calmed down deeming Kishiars words to be right. "Alright Commander. Then...what shall we do now?" Kishiar smiled as if he was waiting for that question. "Well, we can either wait for our kidnapper to show themselves, we can explore but I doubt it'll bear much fruit. While you were gone, I ordered the Calvary to scout the whole place anyways and I even searched myself but we can always check again. But anyways" He waves his hand dismissively as if there's something more important to do. "You."

"Me?" Yuder asks confused.

"Yes you. How are you feeling? You know how worried I was when you passed out after promising not too and then suddenly I lost track of you in this mysterious place?" Kishiar said as if scolding him.

Yuder didnt know if he was joking about being worried and just brushed over that. Still, he became aware of the fact that hes not dressed in the uniform anymore. He is still in his common clothes that he awoke with. "...I apologize

"Well, as you said, you didn't faint until the treatment was over. So, we're half-right each. No need to apologize."

"Oh, how's your arm?"

Despite the softness in his voice, he seemed to have no intention of accepting any rejection. Yuder glanced back and forth between the door he could leave through and Kishiar, then let out another sigh.

"...It's all better."

"Thats good." Just as Kishiar said that, a rumbling sounded from the whole giant space. Many screams and yells came from the ordinary citizens. Yuder quickly opened the door and saw many Calvary members on guard while ordinary citizens hold onto eachother. Meanwhile, some nobles storm up- well not storm up more like walked gracefully but in a way that shows they're gonna demand answers- to the royal table.

One of the bold high ranking families walked up to the table. "Your majesty..are we all supposed to just linger here? How are you planning on protecting us all!" Even though Keliusa looked one day away from deaths door, his voice still carried the elegance and dominance his people needed. It held a confidence that you wouldnt even notice how he couldnt stand long. Or how he needed to stay in hididng for months because of sickness"You need not worry. After all, you have the most capable people with you. Or Calvary and royal knights."

Some nobles however scoffed at his words. First off, many still looked down on the Calvary. Seeing their commoner status as a sign of their worth. Second, they barley believed these powers were worth bragging about. Third, why should they belive the words of the emperor who barley even showed themselves to public. The kingdom was running perfectly fine without the royalty.

Whispers filled the hall

______
○o。.

As the conversations continued, a rumble sounded throughout the room again alerting them. All of a sudden, in the giant room a bright light lit up the room and words were displayed on the light.

[Welcome!:D]

Everyone immediately tensed up at these random words. Next, more writing appeared.

[Can you read this?]
[...]

No one answered in weariness of what should be their captive. The question stayed on the light for a while until Kishiar, not surprisingly spoke up.

"Yes. We can here you...how might we address you?" While others would have screamed for answers, or cowered in fear, kishiar made sure to stay level and friendly. Its easier to deal with someone and not give them reasons to hurt you and befriend them enough to willingly give intel.

Yuder tried to sense if this was an ability. Normally hed easily be able to tell but this feels nothing like an ability. He turned when he hear Enon clicking his teeth.

"..this isnt an ability. Its...i cant explain it. Damn." Enon muttered loud enough for Yuder to hear. Hes normally more stubborn so him speaking first shows the severity of the situation.

[Good!]
[Hmm, I dont have a name per say.]
[My name...what should it be?]
[Oh dear. I didnt plan this far....]

The mysterious words seemed...playful? Is their someone controlling it? Or does it have some sort of conscious.

[Just call me... 'glove' haha. Creative right?]

Nobody laughed or even smiled, -we'll other than kishiar- they were too focused on figuring out the lights motives.

[Hahhh.]

The light box then suddenly sighed as if it itself didnt even like the joke it made.

[Anyways. Let's make this quick. This space youre trapped in is practically impossible to leave as its not the nature of an ability.]

[We have no intention of hurting you!;-)]

Then all of a sudden, it was back to normal.

[Let's be more straightforward. Your world is doomed.]

Many people scoffed at this. They've heard stuff like this from those "prophets". Why would the world be destroyed? For people who only knew privilege, who never faced misfortune, such a statement is unheard of. Immediately brushed off. Yuder's eyes however widen. Out of everyone, he knows the best that the fact that the world getting ruined is fate. Hes so shocked that he dosent even notice kishiar eyeing his suprising reaction. Could this be his chance to get everyone to listen to him?

[Dont believe me? Very well.]

A scene was then thrown into everyone's vision. The scene of a giant rift in the sky and giant tentacles coming out of it. It was a gruesome scene. A horrifying one. Just looking at the tentacles made you feel as if you were looking at death itself. Some of the weaker people had to hold back their throw up after being hit by a huge aura of death while others simply fainted. If that wasn't enough convincing, the mysterious light then privately talked in others head, revealing secrets nobody should know unless they knew the future or stuff about everyone. Slowly by surley, some people started to belive the mysterious text. Even start to see it as a god. A warning.

"Then...what should we do?" A hesitant voice from the crown asked

[Simple! We dont want your future to come true soo we'll be showing snippets of the future!]

Some were still wary of this but eventually Emperor Keilusa speaks up. "Very well. Its not like any harm can come to us. Besides, I doubt we'll be let go until we progress. At the very least, this will help us greatly if this isnt a ruse" Keliusa looked very weak no doubt worsened by the illusion but he still remained strong. Yuder on the other hand, was sweating. That rift. He could recognize it anywhere. Out of everyone, he knew the damage that could cause if left alone.

[Very well, sit down! Let me give some rules!]
[Fighting with eachother isnt allowed unless its sparring. Powers will be taken if you dont listen]

[There's not many rules! Just dont suck and you wont be punished!]

Some shivered at the thought of a punishment this being could give but they obediently sat down knowing they have to atleast gather Intel. The Calvary all sat together on these sofas. (The layout is sort of a movie theater with rows and rows of chairs going up) They chairs quickly filled on the left side of just the Calvary while in the front there were four seats. Enon sat on the far left. Gakane sat next to him, on the right, kanna sat there while in the middle of kanna and Gakane was an empty seat meant for yuder. Of course Yuder has to stand near the Commander being his assistant but they left a chair just for if he wants to come back. After a while, the Commander actually came to the area and asked if he could sit with his calavary and the whole calvary shrunk back in shock. Surprised and still intimidated by kishiar. Cue the whole seating chart changing.

Now, Yuder was still in between Gakane and Kanna but the seat next to kanna was where Kishiar sat with a bright smile. Non surprisingly, some members fled from their seat to a higher seat when kishiar sat next to them so Nathan just sat in the seat next to him instead.

At the royal table,Only Rosa and Keliusa were sitting together minus Yuliver and some of Keliusa's other workers. Meanwhile, Katchian was sitting at the Diarca table. Plotting.

After everyone sat down, the board lit up again

[Now then. Our powers aren't omnipotent.. so, we'll be looking at the future from someone else's point of view. In order to ensure the future we see is alot, we'll be choosing someone who has to do alot with the future]

Yuder clicked his teeth. There was the catch. Of course, hes not stupid. He knows that he'll be definitely chosen. Hell, he came from the future...returned by death!

He knows he needs the future and hes not opposed to telling the truth...he was going to eventually tell Enon but....people like Them knowing?

He turns to look at Katchian and Diarca. Then, Kishiar.

Tsk.

[Yuder Aile]

Yuder just sighed silently because of course, it was him. He ignored the suspicious glances headed his way by random nobles who happened to hear of Yuder's existence (which wasn't really alot)

Meanwhile, the Calvary where shocked at first but after seeing firsthand how strong yuder was, it made a little sense. He was practically the strongest one in the group. (Other than the Commander but nobody really know his strength. Could he even be strong?)

Nathan sat quietly next to Kishiar. To others his expression remained stoic but right now, as he saw the name, his eyes narrowed in suspicion. He already dosent really have a great opinion on his lord's new assistant. Its rare for his lord to openly show interest in anyone. And yet, in barley a month, this person managed to weasel his way into his lord's interest. Knowing that hes also important in the future dosent give him a good feeling. Of course, Aile protected Kishiar during the red stone mission he knows that, but one good deed can simply be a way to gain trust. His lord already went through alot. He dosent need to be hurt more.

○o。.

Keliusa sat at his table silently. Yuder Aile was it? Wasn't that Kishiar's assistant? Its natural for him to have his suspicion. Sure his brother might put on this front on being a friendly bumbling idiot but he wouldn't of gave some commoner such a high ranking if it was simply out of strength. This must mean that Sir Aile has gained his brothers interest. In a good way or a bad way is unknown however. Atleast this opportunity will help him figure out this person.

.。o○

Kiolle is flabbergasted. Already being trapped in this mysterious place is concerning but he wasn't as concerned since his father is here with him. However, that concern turned to fear-not that he'd admit it- when he saw that demon Yuder Aile!

Not to mention that peasant is all he'll be watching?! If it wasn't for that damn oath he forced on him, he would've cursed to the heavens. He decided to pointedly not look in that demons direction lest he looks his way and his family becomes aware of that damn oath.

.。o○
Name: Yuder Aile
              Yudrein Aile

Yuder glared at the screen at that name he never thought he'd hear again.

"Yudrein? Is that a nickname of yours Yuder?" Kanna asked curiously as she turned to him. He just shook his head in response. "No. Maybe its a name i earn in the future" It was better to play dumb. The less they end up finding about his past life the better.

"Yudrein...A nice name" Kishiar said with a smile but Yuder just felt sick to his stomach. 'Of course you think its a good name...you came up with it'

Powers:
Awakened ability + Power from red stone

"...Red stone? Like the meteor?"
Some murmured in confusion while Kishiar's gaze snapped to Yuder's hand. Hes the only one who truly knows what the red stone did to that hand.

He looked as if he wanted to grab Yuder's hand but yuder was too busy lifting it to look at his own. 'Right now, the mark only spreads when I use my abilities and causes extreme pain whenbit spreads. Its unknown what'll happen if the mark completely spreads past my arm but if it ends up being useful in the recordings then maybe...'

"Yuder" Kishiar whispered towards him with a serious face as if reading his thoughts. "You're not allowed to try anything until we're completely sure what the mark and stone does. Understand?"

Yuder frowned at this deathly serious tone. He definitely wasn't joking and its rare to see Kishiar this serious. Still, he just nodded and replied. "Of course commander"

.。o○

Gakane squirmed in his seat. 'The red stone? Like that mark that spread all the way up his arm?' Gakane promised he wouldn't tell anyone but knowing that the red stone will end up affecting yuder, what if its not in a good way? Before Gakane could think more on this, he turned and saw Kishiar talking to Yuder calming him slightly down. 'Atleast the Commander knows this...maybe he would know what to do'

Gender: Male
Secondary: Omega

"So yuder will manifest as an Omega?" Ever hummed in surprise while others members chimed in. "I thought he was going to be an Alpha" Fynn spoke "Yea he really does give off the vibes of being an Alpha" Hynn finished. "Of course! There's nothing wrong with being one!" They quickly insisted lest yuder adds more training to their books.

"An omega? Hmm. Aren't you shocked yuder?" Kanna asked while turning to him. "I am suprised" Yuder replied with his blank face making everyone just sigh at how hard yuder is to read.

Yuder of course, isn't surprised. Of course he would be an Omega this time around. The same way he was given the Aile surname. Still, he dosent find himself particularly pleased knowing that everyone in this room now knows his second gender.

Age: 20 (31 mentally)

'31 mentally? What could that mean' Kishiar thought with narrowed eyes. Of course, he always felt that his aide was too mature for his age. Could it be something that happened when he was younger? These are questions he'd like to ask and he is fairly curious but also, hes not pleased that his assistant has to reveal everything about his life. Nobody should have to loose all their privacy to save the world.

'Or atleast...' Kishiar glanced at the nobles behind him. 'I wish they wouldn't have to see you at your lowest'

Origin: Ayrik
Height: 182 cm
Weight: 75 kg
Relatives:
Parents(deceased)
Melach Cantinto (grandfather, deceased)

"Oh yuder..." He ignored the pity filled glances. It's not like he knew his parents to even be upset that they're dead nor did he cry when his grandfather died. It was to be expected anyways.

(Still, there was a part of him that felt a little more empty that day his grandfather took his last breath. The days before where the countless herbs he tried to heal him with failed. He didnt cry though. After all, he knew it was going to arrive, that day)

Backround
Yuder braced himself for all chaos to breakout. Sure, they might not belive him at first but the second the truth is confirmed, it'll be chaos.

Yuder regressed 11 years from the future and aims to save the world in this timeline. Yuder joined the Arcane Legion again after his regression, and ioined the Robustus Division this time. Currently, Yuder is the Commander Assistant of the Arcane Legion.

Yuder sighed silently as voice broke out around him.

"Regression?! Yuder?" The Calvary members tried to ask him in shock while Enon grumbled next to him "so thats why you knew so fucking much" Of course Enon's words just fueled the fire.

Of course they were many that didnt believe him. Particularly the noble factions. "Time travel? Psh. What, is he one of those prophets?"

While others feared what a threat he was. "A time traveler,...thats not good" while others simply desired the power a time traveler holds. Many who previously had no interest in yuder find themselves salivating at the though of how much power they'd gain if they had a time traveler on their side.

"Yuder, are you really from the future?" Kanna asked as she turned to him, unable to hide the shock on her face. Yuder silently sighed as he saw practically everyone else pay attention to him. He ignored especially kishiars gaze burning in his head. He didnt want anyone to find out this way. But what can he do? Was all his effort for nothing?

"...Yes..i am. I was 31 before suddenly going back in time 11 years ago" Nobody knew what to say at these words. Still, they had follow up questions

"Was it an ability?"

"I dont know. No ability is that powerful and even if it was, its way too early for abilities to be that world breaking.

"Was it only you that went back in time?"

"As far as im aware, yes."

"How did you regress or, go back in time"

Yuder sighed at the question he knew was going to come. He really didnt want to answer but he also couldn't ignore them.

Then suddenly, a voice cut in. "Now now. I know that you all are curious but after all, we're here to have our questions answered. Let's not badger our fellow Calvary member.

Yuder glanced at Kishiar, the person that should've definitely had the most amount of questions especially after being in a position so close to him in the calavary. Still, he defused the questioning? There's alot about kishiar that ticks yuder off. He feels like he should be greatful but his wariness outweighs it.

All of a sudden, the wall lit up again

[Now that we've finished the introduction, let's meet again tomorrow to get yourselves settled. In this building we have rooms for each person, fully stocked kitchens and multiple other rooms such as training grounds, bathrooms, offices, etc etc]

Yuder was a little perplexed. That was barley anything and now we have a day to rest? It was confusing and just as much concerning. Still, it was obvious the wall wouldn't light back up. It was replaced by a clock that displayed the time left until next meeting. Slowly, one by one, groups started leaving. Yuder didn't really want to leave because he'd be hounded by multiple people no doubt so he was debating on what to do before a familiar voice caught his attention.

"Yuder. Come take a walk with me." Kishiar smiled as he stood up and brushed himself off. Of course, since Kishiar was the one leaving with yuder, it would make others hesitate on approaching him so he decided its better than leaving alone.

.。o○

The two walked down a hallway that split into multiple corridors.  Each room had the name of a participant so it was obviously their assigned rooms. As he walked, Kishiar broke the silence.

"Did you hear? There's apparently a fully stocked kitchen here. Perhaps I should cook all of my beloved Calvary members a delightful breakfast tomorrow."

This is strange

"Though we cant be certain the food is safe. Hah...if only we had someone who was immune to poison or could detect it."

This is really strange

"Hm actually,I think it have a magic tool for th-"

"Aren't you going to ask?" Yuder cut him off. Yuder already thought of multiple outcomes. Loosing Kishiar's trust, being threatened by him, being coerced into only giving him information,  being cornered by questions etc etc....yet...we're discussing food?

"Hm?" Kishiar stopped walking and turned to Yuder as if asking was never a thought in his mind "Ask what?"

"Ask me about my regression...why im in the calvary...stuff like that"

Kishiar tilted his head before smiling and continuing to walk. "Well, would you belive me if I said that wasn't a thought in my mind? Well, it was, but to be frank. I have no interest on forcing you to talk about something you clearly dont want to talk about."

"But then why did you take me on this walk? Away from everyone?" Yuder simply couldn't trust this kindness.

Kishiar simply laughed. "Oh dear, are you not enjoying my company? I simply wanted to walk with my dear aide" After joking around to himself, he went silent before speaking again. This time, his voice was strangely sincere.

"I said I'd take care of you right?"
Thats when yuder remembered the promise Kishiar made to Yuder during the red stone mission and that strange look on his face when Yuder wouldn't let him help later on. He couldn't of been serious right? Then, the soft voice continued.

"At that moment, when everything was revealed, you didnt want to be cornered by people nor answer questions so I took care of that." Yuder didnt know how kishiar could've guessed all of that but there was a strange feeling in his chest at his soft and considerate words.

"Now come on. It seems our room are both on the third floor. I didnt notice ours here. Let us rest."

According to his lord's orders, Nathan is doing a recheck on the building again. He already checked the kitchen and determined the food was completely safe while also checked the whole place for death traps especially in his Majesty's and her Majesty's room. Nothing. Still, as Nathan continues his search, he cant help but find himself distracted.

'Yuder Aile...' The man's eyes narrowed, multiple thoughts running through his head

In a private room, some members of the Calvary are sitting around the room. "Yuder is a regressor..." Gakane started.

"Well, I always felt that Yuder was quite mature for his age and never suprised." Steiber continued.

"Well, its hard to tell if Yuder is ever suprised.." Fynn and Hynn laughed.

"Though there's one thing im concerned about..." kanna said solemly as she sat at her chair. As everyone's attention turned to her she finally spoke. "I mean, imagine how much Yuder has been keeping to himself...11 years. I cant imagine the burden that causes.."

The room became a little depressing. It was quiet for a while before Ever spoke up suddenly. "Well, there's nothing we could've done before but now that we know, we can do something!"

"Yuder seems like the type of person who would never ask for help so we'll simply have to be dependable enough to be able to help when its needed!"

Steiber then walked up, "So, even if It might be hard..it seems we're going to have to train harder."

Yuder sat on his bed before abruptly getting up and inspecting the room in better detail. The room was square shaped with a concerningly big bed, a desk, a wardrobe thats full of Calvary uniforms and normal clothes, and a bookcase. The room was pretty bigger than the rooms on the second and first floor. There's also his sword lying on his wardrobe. On it was a note attached.

[You can keep your weapon for now! However, unnecessary violence will have it confiscated!:-p]

Yuder stared silenty at the note before sheathing the sword at his side. He then opened his wardrobe and grabbed a new uniform. Ever since he woke up in this place, it was right after he passed out so he was still dressed in causal clothes yet he doesn't know how long they'll be trapped there so hes deciding on changing.

..

After he changed almost on cue a knock sounded on his door. He opened it to be faced with Enon who let himself in pushing past him into his room. Enon is also situated on the 3rd floor next to Yuder's room for some reason.

"Enon" yuder started as Enon sat on his bed.

"Tsk. What did you drag me into." Enon replied as he harshly scratched his head.
"..."
"...everyone knows your secret. What are you going to do now?" He suddenly said.

"...i dont know. After this....it'll be suprising if I have any secrets left. Plus, I might drag down other with me when im seen with them.."

Enon took one look at Yuders face before  scoffing ane walking up to him before harshly rubbing his hair. "..stop looking so gloomy. You have that commander of yours, people in your Calvary, me and many others. Dont act like youre alone on this." He grumbled while Yuder's eyes widened.

"Thank you....."

"..."

"Ah right. I have a gift for you" Yuder said after a while making Enon perk up.

"A gift?"

"Yes." And then Yuder pulled out a whole lemon that he found in the kitchen earlier.

"...." Enon was speechless and looked a little more angry before snatching it and taking a bite peel and all. "Damn. So you know about this too. Tch."

Enon then strolled out of Yuder's room but as he left he abruptly walked back in and reached into his pocket with an annoyed expression on his face. "You....just take this!"

It was a red thread. Yuder grabbed it, unsure what to do with it. "Its something that'll protect you. Just tie it on your sword or some shit. Tsk. Im giving it since youre allergic to sitting still." And with that, Enon stormed out the room.

Yuder didnt say much more but just closed the door and obediently tied it to his sword hilt. He then decided to just sleep and wait till tomorrow.

Yuder opened his eyes. He was in a white place. There was no walls, floor, nothing. Just white. Was it a dream? As he looked around, he felt something being written on his hand.

'This is a dream I have projected into only a certain amount of individuals mind. The point of this dream, is that I'd like to state that, there will be some scenes that are purely confidential. Not everyone needs to know. So, when there concerns a scene with someone, the people who are not involved will not remember the incident once you leave.'

Yuder's eyes widened as the writing continued.

'Yuder, take your regression for example. I understand the worry of many people finding out about it but you need not worry. Many people like the noble factions, commoners and others will not remember these facts once they return. They are only here in this place to keep the balance. So, you dont have to worry about your enemies learning stuff they shouldn't because it'll all be erased. Not everyone will also be having this dream to make sure no participant forcibly tries to remember by writing it down or some type of magic.'

Yuder didnt know what to think but he still had a question. "How do I know you'll really do this?"

The mysterious space then tapped on his pulse before writing on his palm again. 'Then, let's make a contract. You wont have to give anything other than your consent while I'll bet my life.'

That was a drastic contract, one you didnt want to belive. The contract appeared infront of his eyes and he read it through and the space was right. He would nor be getting hurt from this.

"..why are you doing this?"

'To save the world.' The space seemed as if it wanted to write something else but it stopped.

'So. Do you consent to the contract?'

"...yes"

The writing then moved from his palm to his pulse, writing some symbols before a strange feeling emerged from it. 'Alright. Nothing will happen to you, its just meant to inform you if I broke the contract. Thank you.'

It was strange, for betting their life, the words seemed kind of relieved.

'Goodnight' They then tapped on his forehead abruptly and he was out again.

When yuder awoke again,he was back in bed. He immediately sat up and removed his glove. There wasn't any mark but he could feel the aura coming from his pulse. It also happned to be on the same hand as the red stone mark. Yuder stared in silence before deciding on getting up and heading to the main room.

"Kishiar"

Kishiar went into the room with a smile. "Why hello your majesty how might I make your acquaintance?

Keliusa didn't laugh or even smiled he just continued sat on his bed looking as sickly and as pale as ever. As Kishiar approached, though his smile was carefree, his eyes were not as he assessed the emperors body.

"Did you notice too?" Keliusa started.

"Hm?"

"Our vessel"

Kishiar's smile seemed frozen. Eventually however, his expression turned serious.

"Of course I did who do you take me for your majesty?" Even if his smile was on his face, it seemed colder than ever. "I noticed it didn't have to exert as much control on my vessel. It'd be better to say that I find myself not needing to exert any at all. It's like my body is paused."

"Its the same for me too" Keliusa said as he pushed up his glasses. "I am still weakened but the pain and drowsiness has faded to a dull throb. Almost to the point where I can ignore it. I do find myself more tired often but not the tired as if im on deaths door."

The room went silent for a while before Kishiar spoke again. "Well, thats good atleast. ....you had that dream too right?"

"Yes." Keliusa looked at his pulse. "I assume the dreams were different depending on the person but the being there said that I wont have to worry about my vessel as long as im here."

"Its the same for me. What a terrifying space we find ourselves in. It seems to know everything about us." Kishiar laughed as he lifted his arm in the air. "I am curious on who else had this dream. I dont doubt my aide had the dream maybe some Calvary members..."

"Kishiar." Kishiar turned as the Emperor interrupted him. "Hmm??"

"What are you going to do about your Aide. Yuder Aile." The room was blanketed in a silence before kishiar smiled brighter.

"Do you not trust me?" Kishiar challenged

Keliusa just stared for a while before scoffing. "Get out."

"Haha" Kishiar laughed as he left.

As yuder strolled down the room halls, he was stopped by Nathan

"..sir Zuckerman?"

"My lord informed me to tell you to visit him once youre awake."

Thats all Nathan said before disappearing in the shadows again. He seemed to have alot on his mind.

As Yuder knocked on Kishiars room door, he heard a soft "come in" and entered. When he entered he saw Kishiar sitting on an arm chair and pointing to the chair across from him. "Sit please."

Yuder sat down, unsure what Kishiar needed from him.

"Glove off" Kishiar said with a smile but Yuder hesitated to show him. "...Might I ask why?"

Kishiar just smiled and just extended his hand waiting for yuder to hand it over. "My assistant must've had that dream too and signed the oath. So, I'd like to make sure your mark isn't clashing with the oath power"

"The Commander had a dream too?" Yuder asked. While one part of him is undoubtedly curious, he also would like to switch the topic.

"Yes now hand please" Kishiar said, ignoring the attempt at a change in topic.

Eventually Yuder concedes and takes off his glove before placing the hand on kishiar who inspects it.

The mark is still tiny and faint because of the healing earlier. Kishiar can feel the pulse of magic from the oath but it didnt seem to be affecting him longterm.

"I could've told you I was fine.." Yuder said as he put back on the glove.

"I trust my assistant" Kishiar started. "Really but my assistant also has a habit of downplaying his injuries. I understand you have a high pain tolerance but just because you cant feel it, dosent mean its not hurting your body."

Yuder didnt really like this look on Kishiar's face and just looked away. "...Is that all the Commander needs me for?" He asked hesitantly while Kishiar just nods and stands up.

"Yes. Let's head to the main room ." As Kishiar walked out his room. Yuder felt strange. He's been more on edge after his secret was revealed yet Kishiar still confuses him. He knows Kishiar said he'd never ask but its not the first time he heard those type of words. Its natural to still be wary.

As the two made it to the main room, many people were already sitting down eager to see the future and more. As yuder approaches his seat, he gets a bunch of weird things said to him by his Calvary members. Something about them wanting to train more or them being dependable. He dosent really get where this enthusiasm comes from but Kishiar seems to find this very funny. As they sit on their chairs. The wall lights up again.

[Alright! Shall we begin?]

The mysterious text then hesitated before it started speaking

[Now then...we'll be starting with how Yuder's first life ended and how his 2nd started.]

The text seemed less enthusiastic-well however unenthusiastic a body of text can he- about showing the end of his first life but its not like yuder is particularly happy either. If asked what he liked about his past life hed probably draw a blank and he definitely has no interest in watching his execution from a third person view nor letting others see his vulnerability. The only closure he has is that atleast everyone wont remember this.

Kishiar, sitting next to him, was also feeling pretty bitter. He didnt know much about regression but in order to come from the future, something must've happened right? Not to mention, what about the stuff he left behind? His family. Its a cruel fate. However, theres been a possibility brimming on his mind. It only worsened after he found out his aide's past once remebering his tolerance to pain. Its something he dosent want to imagine. There's a part of him that'd prefer his assistant simply waking up one day in the past leaving his family behind then experiencing something painful that caused him to turn back time.

"Listen, criminal Yudrain Aile."

Yuder just sighed bitterly as gasps surrounded him. Not only was everyone shocked by the words, something strange happned to the wall. It reflected a view...as if the person was their itself. So they could see the hall full of nobles and commoners surrounding a prisoner who they all knew was Yuder.

Ignoring the turmoil, Yuder's eyes narrowed. Even though those days since he was captured was very fuzzy and was just "pain pain pain" nonstop, he feels like he would still be able to notice if someone was standing that close to him enough to even pick up his shaky breathing...

How omniscient is this being?

"Yuder..." He was bought out of his thoughts by the shaky voice of Kanna. She spoke as if she was holding glass. He didnt like that. "Did you..."

"Yea. I came back because I died" Yuder said simply. He should might as well just get it over with but the room only became more depressing

"You dont have to watch this if you dont want to" A voice spoke up and Yuder's gaze snapped to them. It was Kishiar who had a strange serious look on his face. Yuder just stared before shaking his head. "No...im alright Commander"

An otherworldly voice echoed above his head.

"You are a criminal who forgot your duties and responsibilities as the commander of the cavalry, and dared to conspire with an absurd claim that you acted for the sake of the world. You trespassed into the forbidden sanctuary, attempting to steal the World Sphere. Do you acknowledge your involvement in the assassination of Duke of Peletta nine years ago, the destruction of the Pearl Tower seven years ago, the Red Field Rebellion five years ago, and countless other incidents that cannot be enumerated? When the truth was revealed, you shamelessly attempted to flee by joining forces with other countries."

The room couldn't see Yuder's state since the view hid it and only showed his bowed down form but you could tell he went through hell.

"A criminal? How dare they say that about Yuder!" Hinn glowered while Finn huffed. "That guy is lucky im not there. I would-"

The twins then both shut up at his next words.

"Yuder...you were the commander?" Yuder turned to Gakane who asked hesitantly. Watched as Gakane tried to frame the question in a way of making it clear that he dosent have to answer if he doesn't want to.

"Does that mean that the Commander resigned?"

Kishiar meanwhile didnt take his eyes off the screen. He after all, knew the most what yuder inheriting the position meant. Death has always been a close neighbor of his.

"Yes. I was the Commander of the Calvary" Yuder said simply, making it clear he didn't want to speak on this.

At the sound of the Judge's words, talking about his most shameful crime, the crime of murdering the Duke, the Commander of the Calvary, the room turned silent.

Nobody could speak and Yuder just closed his eyes, already accepting all the effort he put into this world to fall.

He could feel all the gazes on him. From the nobles who don't particularly care for Kishiar but are aghast at his nerve as a commoner, the emperor and emperess who just stayed silent which made it worse. The shocked disbelieving gazes of the Calvary. Enon, who stared at Yuder with a knowing expression. Nathan. He didnt even want to decode his gaze. What little trust that assistant had of him is gone. And Kishiar. Yuder can't even meet his gaze. It fills him with a sense of dread of what he'd see if he turned and tried to decipher that gaze. And the feeling only intensifies because he feels that if he looks over, it wouldn't be a gaze full of distrust or hate.

But since when did Yuder care about that? And since when did he entertain the idea of Kishiar actually trusting and caring about him. If he trusted him he wouldn't keep all those secrets. He would dodge every question. He wouldn't force yuder to look away in bed whenever his whole being was being disassembled. Even in death, if he trusted Yuder, he would've said something! Answer at least-

"Yuder..." A voice sounded. Yuder was too tired to see which member of the Calvary spoke. "The Commander..is it true?"

Another voice broke out. This time he noticed it was right next to him. Was it Kanna? Was it Gakane? He couldn't bring himself to check.

"Wait! They only mentioned involvement and it could just be accusations! We've seen how Yuder is around the Commander. This is only an accusation...right...Yuder?" Everyone turned to look at him but their hope was dashed at him uncharacteristically lowering his head not being able to voice his defense. "...Yuder?"

A clap then sounded out in the room and everyone turned to the person clapping his hand to get everyone's attention. "Now now. Let's not jump to conclusions so fast"

It was at this voice that made Yuder snap his head up. He couldn't belive it. The one person who shouldve been the most angry. Was...defending him? Where was the hate in the gaze? Where was the distrust? Yuder expected to get demoted and probably executed right now and here or atleast once they got back....he hated this. He didnt need pity.

"Commander...why?" Yuder asked. His voice as blank as ever but his eyes widened more than ever. Kishiar simply glanced at him before turning back to the crowd. "Even if we haven't been together long. You, his comrades should know Yuder. Would Yuder do this? And even if he did, would Yuder do something like that without a good reason?"

Kishair watched as the Calvary's gaze slowly changed. He knew this would probably only incriminate himself. But, he always knew he wasn't going to live long. Perhaps this is what his past self wanted. Dying by a sword is much better than exploding and taking dozens with him in a no doubt giant explosion. Plus, how could he hate Yuder who took the Redstone attack instead of him? Who defended him when he could've just pretended to act weak and let the people take the Redstone. Who continued to act okay so Kishiar wouldn't have to use divine power on him. Some might say this was all just to trick him but being alive for so long, being constantly the prey and not predator, Kishiar learned some things. He learned thag the way Yuder taught the Calvary wasn't fake. It was as if Yuder desperately wanted to see his comrades succeed. Kanna and Gakane, the way Yuder talked to them, the way he helped Kanna was not fake. It was real. The Dervan incident. Yuder had many opportunities to slack off since nobody would be around but he constantly did his best. Even stabbing a hole in his arm.

Even now, the face that Yuder as everything fell apart, that isnt fake. It inst the face of your betrayal being noticed. Its the face of all you worked for, falling apart. Its the face of someone who's tired. Not in the physical sense but someone who's exhausted in the mental sense. Someone who's been fighting for too long. Someone who seems years older than everyone. Carrying the world on his shoulder unable to ask for help. Someone who's only trying his best. Someone who is physically older but is also too young to be bearing all this. Kishiar breathed out softly. "Shall we continue now? It seems the record stopped and we need to continue."

As he sat down the others followed suit and turned to the wall. "Hey" Yuder turned as a hand patted his cheek. He turned and saw Enon who looked strange. Almost...gentle like. His face was still scowling but it felt...like he was trying to soothe him. "Dont worry so much Kid. If the guy you supposedly murdered yourself dosent give a shit then you shouldn't worry to much about that. After all, you have a job to do right? Saving the world or whatever bull" Enon grumbled. He didnt like telling Yuder to go get to work but he also needed to do something to get this freak out of his depressive state and his friends around him kept hesitating. "Stop worrying about so much. I dont see why youre so nervous when they're your friends" Enon left it at that before sitting back in his seat. It wasn't really the best advice but Yuder found himself taking a deep breath.

'Enon is right. I have to save the world. If I have to start over than its okay. As long as I prevent the disaster from occurring.' With slightly clear eyes, Yuder turned back to the scene.

'I tried to flee? Dont make me laugh' Yuder scoffed at the Judge's words about him attempting to flee. If he wanted to do it, he could've. He had infact gotten multiple offers but he rejected each one. From Nelarn, from the nobles who wanted to use him, if he truly wanted to, he could've fled but he payed the price for his crimes willingly. Why did he..he.. tsk.

Yuder smirked bitterly to himself. The litany of accusations made him sound like a great criminal to be remembered in history.

Was there anyone present who truly wanted to know the truth, instead of just repeating predetermined answers?

Some people felt a spark of hope at his thoughts. Believing all the accusations to be lies. Some others, including Yuder frowned though. This ability, it can read thoughts..thats not good.

Meanwhile, others grimaced at the sight of Yuder's smirk. Those close to Yuder, never saw him smile once. Yuder was the type of person who you had to read in order to figure anything about him unless he explicitly states it. Its to the point where Yuder could be glaring and claim that hes happy and they'd just laugh it off as 'typical Yuder' but now they couldn't help but wonder. Was there a reason he became like that? They learned they didnt like seeing a smile on his face at this moment.

What they wanted to believe was not the unsettling reality that the world might be on the brink of collapse, but rather that everything would be resolved if they killed the humble commoner-born, half-baked Omega who dared to conspire against them.

"Cowards. All of them. Would rather take the easy way out then get off their high horses" Ever grit out, uncaring of the glares sent here way from the same nobles.

For years, Yuder had wandered the world, trying to find someone who would truly listen and believe him. Many signs indicated that something bad was about to happen in this world.

Even Yuder couldn't fathom the magnitude of what was slowly approaching, but no one would listen to him.

"What happened to us?" Kanna sadly murmured. Kanna owed Yuder alot. If it wasn't for him, she probably wouldn't even be in the calvary. And then he just brushed it off. Seeing this scene..being unable to help her best friend. It hurts. It hurts even more knowing that he was alone even to his death. Looking at the scene, not one person was frowning. They all looked overjoyed.

Enon frustratingly tapped his fingers on his crossed arms. Did he atleast try to do something before this bastards execution? He wasn't as close to Yuder but he knows that him and Yuder had a relationship back in the other life. If they didn't, then why would his other self tell Yuder all those secrets? 'Tsk' He clicked his teeth. What kind of Hyung let's his little sibling be killed.

They weren't even that close but it seems that Enon had already assigned himself as Yuder's Hyung. He always had a habit of picking up strays anyways.

'Even if that brat told me not to, I would've atleast tried to do something..where was i-' Enon suddenly remembered. Yuder told him that the reason he suddenly had that information about Enon was because his old self went missing and told Yuder to tell him all this stuff if he ever didnt remember him. The first Enon couldn't of known about Yuder regressing so it must've meant...that he was already gone.

'Luma...' Enon thought with a dazed expression.

Yuder, with his eccentric and sharp personality, had no family or connections and kept drifting from place to place. He was deemed mad and completely isolated.

Even now, he was alone.

The calvary became glum. Yuder always made sure they weren't alone yet nobody was there when he needed them. They dont even care about the fact that they were most likely not friends with Yuder, they were angry at their old selves.

Deveran was especially angry. Yuder...that guy risked his life for him. Seeing him like this...it fucking sucks.

If only he had gone when the neighboring empire had beckoned, perhaps he wouldn't have ended up like this. With his remaining eye, Yuder looked towards the imperial throne on the distant platform.

Kishiar tilted his head. His expression has been grave ever since he saw Yuder's skinny form. He wanted to feed him. Even now, in a new life he was way too skinny. He'll have to see to that.

'He likes sweet things right?' He was forced to abandon that thought though as everyone finally got a clear view of Yuder's appearance. The most jarring part from his kneeled over pose was his bangs covering one side of his face. However, his whole face was caked in dirt and blood and the hair wasn't that good at hiding the fact that where his eye shouldve been was just a sunken eyelid.

'..whatever Neighboring empire tried to save him..I'll have to look into it' Kishiar thought while the other people into the room either grimaced in disgust or became solemn as his beat up person. He must've been tortured heavily.

Some nobles in the back scoffed, thinking it was deserved for all the crimes the record showed not to mention a commoner thinking they have place

Yuder simply just stared at his face. ..it was strange seeing his face from an outsiders view. Yuder himself, is not good with emotions. The only emotion he could identify without a doubt is pain. Pain has always been a friend of his. A huge part of his life. Whenever he was happy, pain was expected to come next. When he was sad, pain came too. Looking at himself now, the same person who didnt cry out in pain despite being put under so much of it..

He looked tired. He looked already dead. Perhaps he died long before the torture...

The emperor's seat was empty in his blurred vision. The emperor, who once whispered that he relied only on Yuder instead of his ministers, and ordered many tasks that couldn't be handled publicly, had turned his back on Yuder after his arrest.

Though Yuder didnt specify who the Emperor was, it wasn't hard to guess that it most likely the Emperor with them right now. He looked as if he'd die from a breeze. Hell, they haven't even seen him until today. Always cooped up in his castle.

Instead, a man stood beside the throne, wielding a black thorn-wood staff embedded with red magic stones.

Not long ago, that staff belonged to Yuder. The cavalry commander's uniform he wore, and even the authority to stand next to the throne, were all once Yuder's.

Yuder snapped out of his thoughts at the staff.

'...Ah. Fay was it? Wasn't that his name?' Yuder never personally spoke much to Fay. Of course, they talked for work business but it was a mutual dislike on all sides. He wasn't sure when Fay became particularly hateful of him, it wasn't anything new. It was rare to find someone in the Calvary who actually liked him back them. Even his aide, Ever only did what was required of her job.

Anyways, Yuder remembered alot about this day. The day all his efforts finally were amounted to nothing, the day he didnt even have energy to cry at the heavens for this treatment, etc etc. He also remembers that when he was pulled under that guillotine, he didnt really feel anything other then tiredness. Well, until he say Fay. Ever since his torture, he finally felt something. Anger. Anger at Fay holding what was rightfully his. That staff. The proof of his calvary that he worked so hard for.

'You weren't the one who worked to hard. Dont take credit' A traitorous part of his mind whispered. Before it could overtake though he ignored it. He has more important things to deal with right now to worry about the past. His personal feelings dont matter as much as saving the world.

In the back, Fay, who was under a cloak widened his eyes after seeing a much older version of himself. He looked...tired..done with everything. It sort of reminded him of himself after his mom...anyways. He couldn't believe he actually was able to become the Commander. He always felt his ability was useless so this was a huge shocker.

'Maybe i should tell my friends back home about this...they'd be excited.' He thought with a small smile on his face.

At one time, the man had been Yuder's subordinate. The person who once dared not even meet Yuder's eyes had now usurped his position. The way he held the staff was quite arrogant.

Who was there to blame now?

In retrospect, he had lost too much under the pretense of serving the greater good. He thought he would have no regrets even when facing death, but standing before it, he felt otherwise. Many things swirled chaotically in his mind.

The stubbornness and pride that had sustained him.

The countless tasks he still had to do.

The unanswered questions.

Those who had departed before him.

The future after his disappearance.

And… the face of someone he had forcibly suppressed all this time.

Kishiar sucked in a breath. Seeing his blurred out figure. It seemed like Yuder didnt have a good impression of Kishiar in his past life. Well, it was obvious since the guy would look at him as if he was a pest. Though he found it endearing, knowing some context yet not the full one, his heart hurts. Not in fear of a betrayal but....he dosent know.

“There had never been anyone as wicked as this criminal in history. Despite committing a heinous crime of attempting to use the emperor's trust and the entire empire for his benefit, the criminal showed no remorse. The emperor had fallen ill from the shock of elevating someone who knew neither honor nor responsibility to a position they did not deserve. Thus, a fitting punishment for the weight of his crimes was death, and today, at this very spot, he would be executed by beheading. Long live the emperor's eternal blessings! That is all!"

A cheer rang out as flower petals filled the air. Yuder was dragged by the soldiers and raised onto the high altar.

Many people sucked in breaths at the thought of watching a beheading. Especially of someone they know. Some even closed their eyes as they dragged his body onto the podium almost as if they were dragging an object.

Seeing the flower petals rain down only added to the disgust and solemnity they felt. It was a beautiful scene. A dark part of some of them were atleast happy he got to see something beautiful before his end.

Atop the altar, specially constructed for the execution of the high criminal, a massive guillotine with a gleaming blue blade was positioned so that everyone could witness the beheading.

Due to the prolonged torture, Yuder's battered body slumped weakly beneath the blade. The unfamiliar pain, which he rarely felt while surrounded by the ever-obedient energy before the destruction of the mana hole, became unbearable to breathe. Yuder gasped for air as his vision blurred.

He looked....horrible. A dark spot near his heart, dozens of bruises and burn marks, hell, his legs were literal limp noodles. Anyone could tell hes been heavily tortured and while a normal person would cry out in pain from even the slightest movement, he didnt even flinch. As if he was used to the pain.

Yuder felt someone hesitantly poke his arm and when he turned he saw Kanna looking at him nervously while handing him a cookie out of the cookie jar she had brought with her from the kitchen. He wasn't really hungry but he wont reject food especially when she looked like she would cry.

Looking at himself like that...he didnt really know how to feel. It was shameful. He almost couldn't recognize himself.

"You dont have to watch" Yuder turned to meet Kishiar who said that.

"..its alright Commander im not as bothered with it." He said simply before turning back, missing Kishiars grim stare.

'You should be' He muttered silenty.

Ordinarily, criminals sentenced to death were given an opportunity to leave last words, but of course, Yuder was not granted such a chance. Yuder looked up at the sky, which was so blue that it stung his eyes.

It was strange. He should have felt bitter enough to cry tears of blood, but he didn't feel all that bad. The thought of soon being liberated from all these tedious affairs was even somewhat refreshing.

Yuder heard some people sobbing—more like members of the calvary exclusively—at his thoughts and state. It was strange. Not once has someone ever cried for him. He never thought it would ever happen either as he had known that people simply found him strange, scary. He didnt know how to feel about the silent sobs coming from behind him or next to him.

He didnt like it at all.

Indeed, what could be more ridiculous than worrying about the future when one was about to die and vanish?

It was they, not Yuder, who had ignored the bloodstained warning.

Ah, right. The truth was that he had been tired all along...

The moment he realized this, the blade fell from above.

'Tired? Hm...you always looked like it' Enon angrily clicked his teeth, looking away while others winced or cried at the blade falling down sharply. Thankfully the record cut off before they could truly see his head get cut off.
