Gao Lele found it very weird.
Very, very, very weird.
His papa, Gao Tu, had frequently disappeared in the middle of the night this past month!
It had been three months since they moved to Jianghu from Country V, and also three months since they met that 'Neighbour Uncle' who suddenly moved next door after meeting them at the amusement park.
Ever since then, he had always come into their lives, practically plastering himself to his papa almost every day. In the first two months, his papa always seemed nervous and slightly avoided this uncle.
But in this past month, it had gotten even weirder!
Not only had the neighbour uncle become more and more shameless, but his papa also always seemed to be smiling and blushing!
This was very weird.
Very suspicious!
Even though Lele was only three years old, he could smell it clearly. Every time his papa came back after 'going to the convenience store'—whenever he accidentally caught him coming home late at night with literally smelled like that neighbour uncle!
Actually, Lele had always suspected that the neighbour might be his father because he had once accidentally seen a photo of him with his papa in high school uniform.
Not to mention, their faces were quite similar too! However, it was hard for Lele to accept him because…
Because he already had another son!
He lived with that other son and had never come to met Lele at all!
That why, Lele would rather pretend not to know anything than confront the truth and risk breaking his little world apart.
But what bothered him right now was his papa…
His papa’s relationship with that neighbour uncle seemed very suspicious now!
Thinking about this, Lele couldn’t sleep. He ended up following a mix of iris and sage scents floating nearby. Confused, he slowly got up from his bed and followed the scent, which led him to the living room.
He saw Gao Tu and the neighbour uncle, Shen Wenlang, sitting on the sofa facing each other.
Lele hid behind the curtain to peek at what was happening.
He saw Wenlang chuckle softly and say, “Just one more kiss, okay?” His voice was full of coaxing, trying his best to deceive his easily gullible papa.
Lele frowned. Hmph! This old man was really cheeky!
“One more time, okay?” Wenlang tried to act cute, making Gao Tu sigh.
“Don’t mess up, you’ll wake Lele up…” murmured Gao Tu in a low, slightly hoarse tone.
“If he wakes up, I’ll coax him back to sleep.”
Gao Tu silently chuckled, “You? Coaxing Lele?”
Wenlang cutely nodded. “Yes, me.”
“Don’t mess around… Lele isn’t that easy to coax by anyone but me.”
Wenlang pouted and nodded. “Fine. Then if the little one is really, really, really in a deep sleep, come over to my place next door, okay?”
Gao Tu was silent. Rather than saying anything, he slipped an arm around Wenlang’s back and pressed a feather light kiss against his cheek. “You go back first…”
Lele’s eyes burned when he saw his papa kissing that neighbour’s cheek! But he held his mouth with both hands to make sure he didn’t make a sound.
Just like a little kitten, the neighbour nuzzled his chin against Gao Tu’s shoulder. “Then come quickly, okay? I can’t sleep without your cuddle…”
Gao Tu secretly smiled, not knowing Lele was secretly watching them with a disgusted face.
“Okay, okay… Let’s wait until I’ve truly checked that he’s asleep, then we’ll talk, okay? For now, you go back first.”
“Okay…”
Lele quickly rushed back before Gao Tu could check on him. He slipped back into his bedroom, pulled the blanket over himself, and shut his eyes, pretending to have already fallen asleep.
Not long after, his bedroom door opened softly. Gao Tu, checking on him, slowly entered. “Lele..?” he softly called in a low tone.
Lele tried so hard to pretend that he was already fall asleep.
Seeing that Lele had really fallen asleep, Gao Tu silently walked out of the room, he turned off the light, and softly closed the door.
As soon as Gao Tu walked out, Lele opened his eyes!
Now he knew exactly where his papa was actually going! It turned out he was going to that neighbour uncle’s house!
That's okay, he would let his papa go again tonight. But from now on, he would gatekeep his papa from that cheeky neighbour uncle, who already had a new family yet still tried to seduce his papa!
Hmmpphhh!

As soon as Gao Tu entered Wenlang’s house next door, he was greeted with a back hug from Wenlang, who brought his face closer to Gao Tu’s gland, smelling the scent he loved most in the world.
“Smells so good…”
Gao Tu felt itchy. “Wen… Wenlang… You’re being too close… Don’t sniff it like that.”
Wenlang whispered in a seductive tone into Gao Tu’s ear, “There’s nothing I can do. It smells too good…”
“Once again, I’m going to tell you that I was totally crazy for saying this scent smelled bad out of jealousy, because this scent is literally heaven…”
Gao Tu’s heart beat faster, and he was blushing! Again, he was easily tempted by Wenlang!
“Shen Wenlang, be honest.. did you ever date someone else during the three years I was away?” asked Gao Tu
Wenlang’s eyes widened in shock at Gao Tu’s question.
“Baobei!! What are you talking about? How could I do that?? I can’t even stand anyone else other than you…” Wenlang stood in front of Gao Tu and held both of his hands.
“I’ve never dated anyone in my entire life. You are my one and only..!”
Gao Tu’s ears reddened when he heard that.
“Then… then why are you so good at saying those sweet things now?? The… the Shen Wenlang I know would never say those… cliche words..!” Gao Tu blinked several times, trying not to make eye contact with Wenlang.
Wenlang smiled when he heard that. He leaned his face closer to Gao Tu. “That’s because I want to pursue you… I learned how to talk properly to my loved one.”
Gao Tu was burning red because of Wenlang.
This guy was really shameless, saying all those things without any shyness or embarrassment at all!
Gao Tu quickly avoided him and acted normal, which made Wenlang confused. “Hm?”
“Right now, do you want to cuddle or not? If you waste time, I’ll go back, Lele might wake up soon—”
“Ehhh… I want to! I want to! Of course I want! Let’s go, baobei,” Wenlang said, holding Gao Tu’s hands and leading him to his room.
As soon as they arrived in Wenlang’s room, as always, Wenlang kissed Gao Tu’s lips and hugged him tightly on the bed.
This was the happiest thing in their lives, even though they had to keep their relationship a secret, including from their own son, Gao Lele.
