Sunghoon wanted to punch a wall every time Riki looked at Jake like he could devour him right there in front of everyone.
Jake and Sunghoon had been friends for years, and just when the alpha finally realized his feelings for his best friend, this damned delinquent showed up to ruin everything.
Nishimura Riki.
Sometimes Sunghoon felt like the kid did it on purpose just to piss him off. He took advantage of Jake’s kindness and willingness to help to flirt with the omega shamelessly.
But this wouldn’t last much longer.
As soon as Sunghoon got that boy alone, he would learn that you don’t mess with an omega who already has an owner…
“Riki, this is Sunghoon, my best friend and your senior. Sunghoon, this is Riki—he came transferred from Japan, so be welcoming!”
Jake smiled brightly.
Noticing the things the two had in common, he decided to introduce them… it would be great if they became friends too! Then the three of them could hang out together!
That was three weeks ago…
And as the days passed…
The cold war over Jake’s heart became increasingly palpable… but only to the two alphas.
Sunghoon opened doors for Jake.
Riki draped his own jacket over Jake to shield him from the sun.
Sunghoon talked to Jake and deliberately held his hand…
Jake patted Riki’s head every time he got a question right, rewarding him with a “good boy” and a smile, that made Sunghoon grind his teeth.
Jake sat on Sunghoon’s lap.
And then Jake hugged Riki.
When Sunghoon overheard Riki telling a friend that what he liked most about Jake was how small and cute he looked next to him… and how perfectly his hands fit around his waist… Sunghoon left the classroom before he could smash the transfer student’s face in.
Riki almost exploded with rage when he asked Jake-hyung about the new ring on his ring finger and the omega casually replied that his best friend had bought them “matching friendship rings.”
Some days, the two alphas just stared at each other from across the room, silently deciding who would make the first move of the day… which would inevitably start their endless tug-of-war.
But one day… they finally met without Jake between them.

Riki closed the library door and walked down the hallway. He had arranged to meet Jake there, but maybe the omega got caught up in class and was taking too long. So he decided to check Jake’s classroom instead.
When he reached the hallway, he realized Sunghoon had the same idea.
“Get out of my way,” Sunghoon growled when both of them reached for the doorknob at the same time, their hands brushing.
“You get out of my way. I got here first.”
Riki reached for the handle again, but Sunghoon’s hand shot out and grabbed his wrist, stopping him.
“No. I got here first. I’ve been first in everything when it comes to him. I don’t know what you think you’re playing at, but Jake is mine. He always has been.”
Sunghoon yanked Riki’s wrist downward, pulling him closer so their height difference disappeared. Forcing them face-to-face.
“I don’t see any mating mark on Jake’s neck. He doesn’t have an owner.”
Riki spat the words into Sunghoon’s face. They were so close—barely a hand’s width apart—that Riki could see fury blazing in the older alpha’s eyes as his nostrils flared.
The younger continues, also using his Alpha Voice,
“He’s never had an owner because his omega has been waiting for me.”
The punch came from Sunghoon’s right hand.
It landed square on Riki’s cheek with such force and surprise that he would have stumbled—if Sunghoon hadn’t still been gripping his wrist.
But that only made Riki angrier.
Without hesitation, as soon as his head snapped to the side, he swung back with his left hand.
Only because Riki was tilted, the punch was slightly off-angle, but yet, it split Sunghoon’s lip. He clearly didn’t expect that! He assumed Riki wouldn’t hit back properly since his dominant hand was trapped—what he didn’t know was that Riki was ambidextrous.
Taking advantage of his shock, Riki shoved Sunghoon against the wall. The older alpha knew another punch was coming, so he reacted faster—grabbing Riki’s shirt collar and slamming his forehead into his.
Forehead-to-forehead.
Even knowing he’d get a brutal headache after, Sunghoon did it anyway—he knew it would hurt Riki more than himself.
“SON OF A BITCH! I’LL END YOU!”
Riki yelled, staggered back clutching his head, and before he could recover, Sunghoon managed to land a punch to his ribs.
Riki bent over for protection… and used the new angle to grab Sunghoon by the waist and tackled both of them to the floor.
The younger alpha mounted on Sunghoon’s lap and started throwing furious punches without any specific direction. But not for long…
“RIKI! STOP! STOP—!”
Jake suddenly appeared and yanked Riki off Sunghoon.
Only then did they realize that everyone from Jake’s class—and probably other classrooms—had spilled into the hallway to watch the fight. A crowd stood around them, shocked.
Jake helped Sunghoon up from the floor.
Sunghoon’s lip was bleeding, and Riki’s cheek was already beginning to darken into a bruise.
“What got into you two!? What the hell just happened here!?”
Jake stood between them, terrified they might start fighting again. He shouted and tried to get their attention, but neither alpha looked at him. They stared at each other, panting and growling like rabid dogs.
Sunghoon bared his bloody teeth.
Riki leaned forward and did the same.
Jake heard someone whisper “alpha fight” behind him and completely lost his patience.
“You know what!? You—”
He grabbed Riki by the shirt, threw open the door to an empty classroom, and shoved him inside.
“You stay here until I come back!”
He slammed the door shut and turned to Sunghoon.
“And you! We are having a talk!”
The moment Riki disappeared from sight, Sunghoon seemed to snap back to himself. He blinked a few times and avoided looking at Jake.
“THE REST OF YOU: MOVE ALONG! IT’S OVER!”
Jake shouted at the crowd, and slowly people dispersed.
Once the hallway was clear, Jake faced Sunghoon again.
“What is wrong with you!?”
“He started it!” Sunghoon pointed at the locked classroom.
“It doesn’t matter who started it—though I know it was you!”
Sunghoon froze, surprised by Jake’s certainty.
Jake sighed.
“I know you’re jealous because I made a new friend and he’s an alpha. But you need to understand that I want him to be your friend too. You could at least try to give him a chance.”
“Jake, him and I… we’re never going to be friends. That guy is trouble! I don’t even know how you like him.” Sunghoon muttered, leaning against the wall.
“Riki is really kind and fun. And a good person! You’d like him if you dropped your fucking ego.”
“There’s no way, Jake! We can’t stand each other!”
“Then go to hell, both of you!”
Jake snapped.
Sunghoon felt his heart race when he saw the visible disappointment and hurt on Jake’s face.
“I’m going into that room to talk to Riki, and if he feels the same way as you, then I don’t want to talk to either of you again! I’m not wasting my time on two immature, territorial alphas who can’t behave—and I have better things to do in my life than break up your fights!”
Jake stormed into the classroom and slammed the door.
Less than five minutes later, he came back out.
He didn’t even look at Sunghoon.
That was all the answer he needed.
Jake was disappointed.
My omega doesn’t want me.
Two days passed, and Jake really didn’t speak or text either of them.
They didn’t know this about each other…because they didn’t talk either.
Until now.
…
Riki was washing his hands in the bathroom when Sunghoon walked in.
His lip was still healing, and Riki’s bruise still hurt.
They met each other’s eyes in the mirror and said nothing at first.
Sunghoon stood there watching the water run over Riki’s hands.
“…Have you talked to Jake these days?”
Riki took a deep breath, turned off the faucet, dried his hands, then answered.
“No. You?”
“No.”
Riki tried to leave, but Sunghoon blocked his way with a hand on his chest.
“What was the last thing he said to you?”
Riki looked at Sunghoon’s hand, then at him.
“He said he’d only talk to us again if we grew up and stopped acting like two problematic kids.”
Sunghoon eyed him suspiciously.
Riki shrugged.
“His words, not mine.”
Sunghoon dropped his hand.
“I don’t want to lose Jake.”
“Neither do I. But we hate each others presence and we won’t get him back if we keep this up.”
“So what do you suggest? A truce?”
“That won’t last. The moment Jake starts talking to one of us again, the whole mess will start all over like dominoes cause…”
Riki frowned.
“I can’t stand seeing him with you, and you can’t stand seeing him with me. This will end worse than just bruises.”
Sunghoon hated it—but Riki was right.
“Then what do we do?”
Sunghoon snapped impatiently.
“Because if we don’t figure something out, Jake will move on… and some other alpha might try to claim him.”
Riki stared angrily and pointed sharply at him.
“Don’t even joke about that. I barely have patience for you—imagine for another bastard!”
“And you think I want to deal with more of your kind? Asshole.”
Sunghoon scoffed.
They stared at each other, frustrated, then fell silent.
“…we’re going to have to work this out.”
Riki spoke first.
“Decide which one of us gets Jake?”
Riki groaned and tugged at his hair anxiously.
“That won’t work! If I end up with him, you’ll make my life hell. If you end up with him, I’ll do the same to you!”
Sunghoon thought harder… then a terrible idea flashed through his mind.
“We could share him.”
Riki froze mid-motion.
“…what?”
“We could split him. One day with you, one day with me. It’s fair, our alphas won’t constantly clash, and Jake will talk to us again.”
“You’re okay with sharing your omega!? Because I’m not! What’s mine is mine.” Riki snapped.
“It wouldn’t be forever! We’d share until Jake chooses who he truly wants. His omega will eventually pick one alpha. And when that happens, we can’t blame each other—because it’ll be his choice.”
Riki’s face slowly broke into a huge grin.
“HELL YEAH! THIS PLAN IS PERFECT!—I can’t believe I’m saying this, but you’re right.”
Sunghoon smiled and held out his hand.
“Deal?”
Riki, also smiling, slid his hand into Sunghoon’s.
“Deal.”
Jake noticed that every day he talked to Sunghoon, Riki avoided him—and every day he talked to Riki… Sunghoon acted cold.
It only took him two days to realize.
On the third day, he arranged to meet both of them in the same place without telling them.
When Sunghoon and Riki arrived at the same time… and saw Jake’s disappointed expression, they knew their plan had failed.
“You told me you made up and became friends… then you spent the next days avoiding each other, and me!?”
Jake snapped.
“What is wrong with you two idiots!?”
The alphas looked at each other, waiting for the other to speak. Neither did.
Jake walked up to them and took one of each of their hands.
“When are you going to understand that I like both of you? And when I say both, I mean both! I don’t want to see you fighting or avoiding each other. I wanted us to go out together, study together, go to parties together… not one, not the other—US THREE! But you’re too busy hating each other and that makes me sad, because I know you’d actually get along!”
Jake let go of their hands and dropped his head.
“Now get out of my sight. You’re stressing me out.”
Both alphas smelled his sadness even though he tried to hide it.
Sunghoon turned away first and whispered to Riki,
“Meet me in the bathroom.”

Once Riki came, Sunghoon asked,
“What the hell do we do now?”
“We’ll have to become friends. That’s it. Two friends… eternally friendzoned with Jake.”
“No. I’ve been too long in this shit to live like this.” Sunghoon leaned on the sink.
Riki tried to think of another solution… there had to be one…
Then an idea crossed his mind.
Ridiculous, risky, and probably doomed.
“We could… share him.”
Sunghoon groaned.
“Seriously? We’re in this situation and now you’re repeating me?”
“No—like… actually share him.”
Oh.
Sunghoon’s eyebrows shot up.
“You mean… sexually?”
“I don’t know! That depends on him. Maybe an open relationship? I don’t even know what it’s called…”
“Weren’t you the one saying you’d never share your omega? Where is the ‘what’s mine is mine’?
“Are you dumb? Clearly we’re out of better options here! It’s this, friendzone—or rejection. I’d rather have Jake… somehow...”
Sunghoon paced.
“This won’t work long-term. My alpha will get jealous every time Jake isn’t with me.”
Riki tilted his head, analyzing the expression on the alpha face… and smirked.
“So… you’re afraid he’ll like me more?”
In the speed of blink, Sunghoon grabbed Riki by the throat and slammed him against a bathroom cabin door.
The door wasn’t fully closed, so they both stumbled, and gravity threw them hard against the wall inside the cabin.
“You really think if he preferred you we’d be in this mess!?”
Riki smirked even harder.
“Even so: you’re scared the fuck out that after he kisses me, he’ll like me more than you.”
Sunghoon tightened his grip.
“How the fuck are you okay with the idea of another guy fucking your boyfriend?”
Riki grabbed Sunghoon’s wrist, propelled his body and used his weight to pin him back against the cabin door.
The door slammed shut.
“It’s not just some random guy. It’s you. The motherfucker who so believes is so superior… you really think I’d let you fuck my boyfriend without me being there to watch? I want front-row seats to see if you’re really better than me.”
Now it was Riki who was squeezing Sunghoon's neck. Flames in his eyes.
“And what you gonna do… huh? Stroke yourself… watching me?”
Sunghoon doesn't give up and continues using all his strength to strangle him.
“Don’t get too cocky… your sex must be so mediocre… that Jake will be screaming my name—begging me to fuck him the right way!”
Now both of them were choking each other.
Riki vision was darkening.
And through gritted teeth, Sunghoon groan, struggling for air,
“You really think this could work!? We’re already fighting just by imagining it!”
The alphas released both of them throats and the two were gasping and panting.
Riki rests his hands on the door behind Sunghoon to breathe properly, and the older alpha thinks that if he hadn't leaned against something, he might have fallen from lack of air.
In the silence of the bathroom, only their heavy breathing echoes, and neither of them says anything.
Riki swallow hard, still panting but more controlled, he stares deeply into Sunghoon eyes.
“How far would you go for Jake?”
The older one lifted his chin.
“Far. I’d do anything for him.”
“Anything? Or just ‘far’? Because I mean it when i say—I’d do literally anything to have him.”
“Me. Too.” Sunghoon growled.
Riki closed his eyes, then opened them with resolve. Now was the time to test it.
“You know… there’s another way to end this instantly… but only if you’re really willing.”
“How?” Sunghoon was a hundred percent willing.
Riki locked his gaze in him.
”Our alpha sides feel threatened by each other's presence; We hate and repel. if we continue to be disgusted by each other Jake will never be ours. Not mine. Neither yours. Everybody loses.”
“Yeah, I already know all of that!” Sunghoon growls, more nervously than ever.
“So we… have to make our alphas like each other.”
They hold their gaze, and their breath.
”You mean like… spend time together? talking all day? We’re gonna get used to each other but—“
”This would be a waste of time. Would take days maybe weeks until we could’ve been even considered close—not even friends! No. Exist a way to do it, and it’s fast and instant.”
Somehow, Sunghoon knew what he was trying to say without saying.
“And what if this goes wrong and we continue to be disgusted by each other?”
Riki lick and bite his lower lip,
”There’s only one way to discover.”
Something inside Sunghoon pushed him to answer,
“Then do it.”
The younger alpha was shocked by his uncompromising confirmation.
“Are you really willing to do this?”
”Just fucking do it while I’m crazy enough to agree.”
Riki looked at his lips and hesitated, then said softly,
“I hope you know this is all for Jake.”
Sunghoon closed his eyes and took a deep breath… but Riki didn’t moved.
So he replied,
“All for Jake.”
And closed the distance capturing his mouth.
Sunghoon expected something rough and violent… but instead, Riki’s tongue slid against his lips gently, almost shyly.
Sunghoon pulled Riki closer, pressing their bodies together.
Their hands went up at the same time and they pulled each other's necks deepening the kiss.
It was so good and in sync, like they did this every day, that both lost track of time… especially when their hips aligned and their erections pressed together.
The heat from their bodies was so intense that their clothes seemed too tight.
Riki slid his other hand inside Sunghoon’s shirt to grab his waist.
Sunghoon’s hand that had been on Riki's neck moved up, and his finger brushed against his cheek.
“…Mnnn!”
Riki let out a soft whine in Sunghoon’s mouth.
The alpha stoped the kiss, smiling, his heavy eyes almost closed with lust,
“What sound was that, huh?”
“You touched my bruise… it still hurts—”
Riki’s voice was low and soft, a mixture of a sigh and a moan.
Without thinking, Sunghoon leaned his lips in and kissed Riki’s cheek over the injury while whispered…
“Little kiss to make it better.”
The gesture makes Riki froze, his voice returning to normal volume and deep tone when he asks uncertainly,
“Did you just… kiss my wound?”
Sunghoon blinks in panic, realizing he'd been so distracted by Riki's soft and full lips that for a second… he thought he was kissing an omega.
He just treated Riki as if he was his omega!
“WHAT THE FUCK! No! You imagined that.”
They broke apart instantly, as if the touch could burn.
Suddenly the cabin was too small for two people.
Sunghoon swung opened the door.
“…what were you two doing in there together?”
Jake stood outside, arms crossed, barely hiding a smile.
“I asked you to be friends, but you guys skipped steps and became lovers?”
Riki’s eyes widened.
“We’re not—!” Sunghoon started.
“I first looked for Sunghoon… and couldn't find him. Then I looked for Riki… and couldn't find him either!”
Jake teased and laughed.
“…just to go to the bathroom and smell your pheromones tangled together! It was practically sex scent!”
“JAKE—We weren’t fucking! I swear to God!” Sunghoon yelled really offended.
Jake ignores Sunghoon desperation and asks,
“So did you resolve your feelings for me… by kissing each other?”
Sunghoon froze.
Was Riki who asked,
“You knew we liked you?”
“I suspected after the fight. That’s why I wanted you to make up quickly! I won’t date one just to hurt the other… and that’s why I’m not choosing: It’s better for us be just friends.”
Jake finished speaking, sounding a little melancholic… but it was the right thing to do.
Both alphas felt the rejection hit them hard.
Sunghoon lowered his head and nodded, trying to hold back the tears.
But Riki wasn't going to give up without trying…
"Jake-hyung, if your problem is hurting our feelings by choosing only one to be with you that problem no longer exists…”
Sunghoon raised his head and looked at Riki in astonishment.
“Yes! Cause you are a couple! I’m really happy for you!”
Jake quickly added.
“We’re not a couple, Jakey! We want you—only you!” Sunghoon corrected.
“YEAH! That’s what I was trying to say: You don’t need to choose. You can have us two.”
While Riki talk, he sees Jake’s eyes snap fearfully at Sunghoon, knowing damn well his jealousy…
“… and I talk for both of us when i say that, hyung: we are totally fine!”
Sunghoon looked at Riki with a defiant expression in his eyes that says:
When did I gave you permission to talk in my name?
Riki was about to looking back in anger to him when Jake—
“…You’re saying… I can have you two as boyfriends…?”
Both alphas turned to the omega and when they see Jake with a hopeful expression and a relief smile in the face… they responded at the same time:
”Yes.”
“You two gave up your ego enough to accept dating me together? I can’t believe!”
Sunghoon stepped closer and held Jake’s face with one hand.
“Of course, love. We love you so much we could do anything just for you.” Sunghoon whispered.
Jake’s eyes filled with tears of excitement.
Riki came for the side and kissed the top of Jake’s head and held his waist in his hands.
“So how this is gonna work?” The omega looked between the two.
Sunghoon looked at Riki.
Riki shrugged.
“I-I didn’t plan this far.”
Jake gave a little jump with renewed joy.
“Okay! After class, come to my house. Let's find a way for this… trouple!”
The omega laughed, his big, beautiful, and bright smile that always make Sunghoon and Riki melt.
He was about to leave the bathroom… but he came back to give a little kiss in Sunghoon… then a little kiss in Riki… and ran out laughing.
Leaving two stunned alphas staring at each other, giggling like idiots.
Riki arrived at Jake’s house ten minutes early. That’s how anxious he was.
And he wasn’t the only,
Sunghoon arrived two minutes later.
They stood side by side staring at the gate, the alphas didn't want to tell Jake they'd arrived… and risk seeming rushed... even if they were in a hurry.
They need claim the omega.
But breaking the silence, Riki starts…
“…About earlier… we don’t need to be intimate again.”
“Agreed.”
“I’m not even attracted to alphas…”
“Me neither!”
“…that was just a test drive—to see how we’d kiss Jake!”
“Exactly!”
Silence.
Sunghoon glanced at him.
“So… did you like my kiss?”
“Yeah. It was really good… mine?”
“Really good. I liked your lips.”
Jake opened the door.
“What are you doing out here!? Come in!”
In his bedroom, both alphas sat on the edge of the bed.
“I know called you here but… I don’t know where to start!” Jake admitted nervously.
If they were alone, Sunghoon would pulled Jake onto his lap… but Riki was here… so he tapped the space between the alphas.
Jake sat down and they both placed their hands on each of his tights.
Riki used his other hand to run his fingers through Jake's hair.
“There are no rules. Just do what you want.”
Jake brightened.
“Then I want to kiss you!”
He said to Riki… and then looked at Sunghoon as if seeking permission.
His best friend nodded in agreement as he ran his fingers along the sensitive skin of his inner thigh.
Sunghoon wanted to test too… if it was really okay for him seeing Jake kiss other man… cause if he gets jealous just by a kiss this would end right now!
Jake climbed onto Riki’s lap and kissed him.
The alpha hands slide from Jake's waist down to his butt, and he squeezes it tightly while the omega tries to devour his mouth.
Sunghoon feels a fire burning inside his chest… perhaps the kiss between the alphas has actually—intrinsically altered the animalistic rivalry between them, cause it’s not jealousy burning. And it’s not angry burning... it’s something ultimately different.
Though Jake’s thirst, Riki’s kiss was in the same pace as when he kissed Sunghoon. And that thought had him feeling strange.

The alpha watched in awe. He doesn’t even blink and yet he still gets surprised when Jake suddenly moved to his lap.

The omega smiled and positioned himself more comfortably on Sunghoon's lap, feeling his erection through the clothes.
Sunghoon’s attention is diverted from Riki to Jake as if he were under a spell.
He wrapped his arms around the omega and pulled him close.
“I’ve waited this whole time for you, Jakey, you could just breath and I still would be hard for you.”
Jake spoke against Sunghoon's mouth,
"Many times I wanted to do that… but I didn't wanted to mess up our friendship."
Then kissed him hungrily.
Sunghoon was not Riki. His pace was desperation. He was completely ruined for Jake. Years of yearning have Sunghoon licking and sucking Jake’s mouth like he never tasted other things before.
And his friend—his boyfriend is in the same level…

Sunghoon was touching the wound—to make sure it wasn't open by Jake’s bite when he heard that phrase.
He and Riki looked at each other at the same time. Mirrored apprehension between them.
"Jakey, I told you we're not—"
“I want to watch. You can do this for me, alphas… please?”
Jake pouted at them with puppy eyes.
That was foul play.
They couldn’t deny nothing to Jake’s puppy eyes.
Sunghoon and Riki approached each other on the edge of the bed.
Riki whispered,
“…only because Jake’s asking, right?”
Sunghoon whispered back,
“Yes. For Jake.”
Riki pulled Sunghoon’s chin and kissed him.
The alphas shared a new feeling of shyness and they could smell it in each other’s scent… as if they were embarrassed to be kissing in front of Jake… so they kissed each other superficially, without tongue, just mouth to mouth.

When they finished and moved away—without making eye contact with each other—Jake said,
“I didn’t like that.”
Jake sat in a chair facing the bed with his arms crossed.
"You didn't like what exactly?" Sunghoon tried to play the dumb.
"I know you don't kiss like that! Come on guys, show me your real kiss, the same one you did in the bathroom earlier today."
"Wait, you really saw us kissing in the bathroom!?"
Riki asked fearfully.
"I could smell it! I told you, it was almost the smell of sex, was so horny—so come on alphas, entertain me!"
Riki turns to Sunghoon…
in almost one month, this was the first time the older alpha looked at Riki and saw him this nervous, almost shy.
"I-I don't know how to do that again, hyung. I don't even remember what made us kiss like that..."
Sunghoon tried to remember to calm the boy down.
