When reality splits

Summary:

Some truths about the Honmoon.

Work Text:

BETWEEN

Let’s talk about two undeniable truths.

The first is that the Honmoon loves her Hunters.

And yes, she has her favorites—those who manage to connect with her on a deeper level.

But the Honmoon loves all of her Hunters profoundly.

They are HER CHOSEN.

The second is a fact.

The Honmoon does not lie.

She cannot.

She exists in a place deeper than truth, older than words—a space where reality itself is woven from threads of starlight and shadow, possibility and certainty.

On that spring night, when violence shattered the peace and death came to claim what was its due, the Honmoon did something that should never have been possible.

She refused to choose.

There is a moment—so brief the human brain cannot process it, yet so dense the entire universe bends around it—when everything could have gone one way or another.

Infinite possible realities stretch ahead.

A demon climbing the stairs or entering through the garden.

A blade striking half a second earlier or half a second later.

A body falling here, or there.

A child breathing… or not.

In those moments, reality usually decides.

It chooses a path. It moves forward with each decision made and solidifies.

But that night, with three women bound by the Honmoon in a tie stronger than blood, deeper than soul—

Reality blinked.

And when it opened its eyes again…

Well.

That night happened.

One truth.

Whole. Real. Undeniable.

But the Honmoon is not fully sentient, and so she keeps her secrets.

And the greatest of them is this:

Sometimes, when love is strong enough and pain is great enough—

Reality does not choose just one path.

It splits.
