Nicole had always noticed the quiet short haired girl at the back of the classroom. Her name was Euijoo if she remembers correctly. She always wore a hair clip with a little orange on her short brown hair. She had wide eyes that made her look like she was always nervous.
Nicole thought she was the cutest girl she had ever seen. She wants to talk to Euijoo so bad but doesn't know how to approach the other. She has only seen Euijoo talk to one other person in their class, the person being Harua. A short bubbly girl who probably talked to everyone in the school. She and Euijoo are such opposites, it's shocking their friends
Euijoo is tall. Really tall. A lot taller than Nicole. You wouldn't expect such a cute face to look down when she has to speak to you. Seeing Euijoo and Harua standing next to each other is almost comical. While Harua isn't the shortest person in the world, the difference in height between Euijoo and her is very noticeable.
Fuma says she thinks Nicole might have a bit of a crush on Euijoo. Yudai agrees but Nicole doesn't really listen to anything Yudai had to say about crushes or romance knowing she's liked Fuma for almost 3 years now and hasn't done anything about it. So her opinion is automatically invalid.
Nicole likes everything about Euijoo. It's not a crush, it's more admiration. She admires the way Euijoo dresses, long flowy dresses in the summer, pink sweaters and cutely decorated trousers in the winter. Her round glasses that make her round eyes even larger. She pushes them up gently as though she would mistakenly break them. Nicole thinks she has never seen anyone so gentle. She watches Euijoo a lot, hoping the other doesn't notice.
Maybe she should ask Harua about her. Fuma says that might seem a bit creepy. Yudai says she should go for it but then again, it's Yudai. Nicole also does not speak with Harua on a regular basis, approaching her just to ask about Euijoo would be really weird. Thankfully an amazing opportunity comes in the form of the talented, the beautiful, the loveliest theatre kid Hirota Riki aka Maki aka Nicole's best friend.
Nicole is overjoyed when she finds out Maki and Harua are dating. Maki had been crushing on the girl for so long it might have killed him. Maki dating Harua also meant them sitting together during lunch. Meaning they would have to sit with her because there was no way Nicole was letting Maki ditch her during lunch. According to Nicoles calculations, this means that Euijoo was very likely to sit with them giving them an opportunity to talk to each other.
Nicole's has already planned out conversation topics. She's not a creep but she cannot afford to look stupid in front of a beautiful girl. It's just not allowed. It would be like disrespectful to such amazing beauty.

Nicole does end up looking stupid in front of a beautiful girl.
Immediately she sees Harua and Euijoo walking towards them she musters up all the courage she has and as soon as Euijoo sits down she blurts, "You are the most beautiful person I have ever seen."
Euijoo's eyes become even wider than should be humanly possible. Nicole is basking in her own embarrassment as Euijoo chokes on air and her face gets bright red. Nicole would think it was cute if she didn't feel like crawling into a hole and dying at the moment. She can hear Maki laughing beside her like she's not allowed to at home. Nicole glares at her but it just makes the younger laugh harder and she has to elbow her in the stomach to get her to stop.
Shockingly, Euijoo actually replies to Nicoles comment. After she's choked on the air around them she giggles a little and replies "Thanks, I think you're quite cool yourself Nicole."
Nicole almost dies. Euijoo had said it so quietly that she almost didn't hear it. She thinks she's cool. Euijoo thinks she's cool. Life might as well be complete now. She doesn't even care if anyone thinks she's lame. The only opinion that actually matters is Euijoo's from now on. Nicole is so over the moon she doesn't even realise she's just been creepily smiling until Maki tells her she's being a creep.
This is just the start of Nicole and Euijoo's relationship.

Euijoo and Nicole end up talking more. They get closer and closer as months go by. It takes her a while but Nicole finally admits she has a crush on Euijoo. Fuma and Yudai say she should confess. They happen to be so sure the other likes her back. Nicole refuses to listen to them.
Euijoo and Nicole are now in the same friend group. Nicole meets Euijoo's closest friends, Taki, Jo and Yuma.
She discovers that Taki and Yudai are cousins. She thinks Taki is the sweetest person ever, always saying the weirdest things but it's fine because she's adorable.
Jo is really quiet, she and Euijoo are alike in that way. She gets shy really easily and usually only talks when asked a question. She's also really tall and Nicole thinks it is funny how she's found herself in such a tall group of people.
Yuma is the one she gets along with quickest. They are the funniest person ever and plays along with Nicole's antics. They also happen to be the first person to meow back at her when she meows at them for the first time. They're dating the sweetheart that is Jo, which comes as a shock because they are complete and total opposites. Jo is quiet and Yuma is loud. Maybe opposites really do attract.
Nicole's friend group quickly merges with Euijoo's. It's such a beautiful thing. She gets to spend so much time with Euijoo. Altough they do hang out together, just the two of them, quite a bit. They always get made fun of for ditching the group and going on 'dates' even though Nicole wouldn't call it that. She is quite tempted to ask Euijoo out but she is terrified she will ruin their relationship. This is something she just cannot do.

They're hanging out together, just the two of them. Euijoo had wanted to go to the new cafe that just opened up in the mall. Nicole of course agrees because she absolutely could not say no to Euijoo.
"Nicole?" Euijoo nudges her and she realises she didn't even hear what the other girl was saying, "I asked what you'd like to have"
Nicole smiles at how softly Euijoo speaks and tiptoes to rest her chin on the taller's shoulder, "Whatever you're having would be fine Juju but I need a strawberry milkshake," She responds.
Euijoo uses her hand to try and hide the blush forming on her cheeks before turning away from Nicole as quickly as possible and to the barista taking their order.
They sit down waiting for their names to be called out to collect their drinks, Nicole can't take her eyes off Euijoo. The other girl is wearing one of her usual pink sweater and a long white flowy skirt. She has her glasses on which Nicole adores. The other girl is cutely concentrating on completing today's wordle and all Nicole can do it stare at her little pout and watch her type five letter words her phone over and over.
Euijoo looks up to ask Nicole for help and splutters when she sees Nicole staring.
Nicole can't control herself.
She has never been able to control herself when it comes to to Euijoo.
"I think I like you Euijoo" She blurts quickly. She watches Euijoo's eyes widen the way they always do when she's surprised.
"Like 'like like'?" Euijoo asks, unsure of what else to say.
"Like I have a massive crush on you that makes me want throw up anytime you look at me"
Euijoo is shocked. Which seems like the most reasonable reaction to the new information she has just been told. Nicole thinks she's ruined it all and starts to open her mouth to apologise and beg for their friendship to stay the same but Euijoo cuts her off.
"I like you too Nicole" Euijoo smiles shyly, trying to hide her face behind her hair that has barely grown since they first met. "I have a massive crush on you too"
Nicole can't believe her ears. She tucks her pink hair behind her ear. "So you don't hate me?"
"How could I ever." Euijoo giggles and they just stare at each other for almost a minute before wrapping their arms around each other tightly. Nicole can feel her shoulder getting wet. Euijoo is crying. She cries literally all the time but Nicole thinks she's the prettiest crier ever. They hold each other for so long they don't even hear their names being called from behind the counters until their names are screamed so loud they jump apart.
Nicole of course being the best person ever goes to get their food for them. Also because Euijoo is crying her eyes out and refuses to stand up.
Even while they eat Nicole can only stare. Stare at the beautiful girl who likes her back.
