Yue Qi wakes from his nap with his cock twitching and mind fuzzy. His hand moves to brush against his arousal but touches metal instead, and- right. He’s locked up for Xiao Jiu, supposedly because his boyfriend finds his stamina exhausting.
He considers curling back up for a nap. Xiao Jiu would take advantage, hopefully, but… Yue Qi was planning on cleaning. He sighs internally and checks the time instead. Yeah, he’ll tidy up and maybe cook before Xiao Jiu gets home.
He ends up cooking in just an apron and house slippers. Yue Qi runs warm and he’s near the stove the entire time, so he isn’t really at risk of getting cold. He tells himself this was easier than trying to stand comfortably with slacks pressing against his cage.
Cooking dinner ends up being a quick affair. Or, at least, quick enough that it’s cooling towards room temperature when Xiao Jiu texts that he’ll be done in a half hour. With that in mind, Yue Qi decides to store the dishes in the oven to be kept warm while he catches a short nap on the couch.
Shen Jiu does not consider himself a cruel person. Mean, sure, and hard to get along with, but not cruel. Except, when he gets home to Yue Qi passed out on the couch, in nothing but that gag gift of an apron with a blanket fallen to the floor… it makes him want to postpone dinner until much later so he can show his boyfriend the consequences of his actions.
He’s had a long day, however, and a quick glance shows that Yue Qi was dutiful enough to clean and make food. He shelves the thought for another day.
Instead, Shen Jiu carefully sets out the still-warm plates before gently waking his partner with a hand on his cheek and soft good mornings. He does his best to smile with some measure of kindness.
Yue Qi wakes up a bit dazed, but returns the smile with the full force of the midday sun.
