Arachnophobia (The Fear of Spiders)

Summary:

Aonung hates humans, especially after what they did to his clan. He especially hates the Sully's new human, Spider. But after an awkward exchange at a private alcove, Aonung starts to discover some new feelings for Spider, feelings that have him questioning not only his relationship to the human, but his own views of himself.

Chapter 1: The Plan

Chapter Text

Aonung's life was perfect. As the chiefs son he was always at the center of attention and was expected to be a pillar of village life as he got older. While most people would shy away from such a spotlight, Aonung thrived in it. He loved how adults would treat and respect him and it was certainly a bonus how girls practically threw themselves at him and how boys looked on in jealously. By all metrics, life was great for Aonung. Then, the Sully's arrived. When they first landed, no one knew what to think. Some people looked on in awe as Toruk Makto, the living legend himself, landed on their small beach while others looked on in fear, wondering what could have possibly scared him enough to flee his own home. Aonung on the other hand only felt disgust.

Aonung had heard stories of how Toruk Makto had united the clans of the mainland against the sky people and chased them off-world, banishing them from Pandora. He had even heard rumours that the legendary warrior was once a sky person himself, but was turned into a na'vi as a gift from Eywa. He always thought that if he ever got the chance to meet Toruk Makto he would be in awe of his presence, but now with the legend standing uneasily infront of his clan, his family huddled behind him, all Aonung felt was pity. What stood before him wasn't some famed hero of the people, just a shell of a man running from a fight with his family in tow, a fight that Aonung was sure he would bring to his home.

At the time, Aonung didn't understand why his parents had decided to grant the Sully's uturu, but he begrudgingly accepted their decision and became a defacto teacher to the Sully children along with his sister Tsireya. At first, Aonung saw the Sully's as nothing but freaks, demon-blood as his mother called them, and he treated them as such. It was only after Lo'ak had taken the blame for his abandoning of him at Three Brother's Rock did he realize just how cruel he had been, especially to Lo'ak and Kiri. After that, Aonung started to accept the Sully's as not only members of his clan, but as friends too.

Shortly after he had made peace with the Sully's being a part of his village, Aonung's initial hunch about Toruk Makto's arrival was proven right. The sky people had invaded his clans waters and had brutally murdered his mother's spirit sister, Roa. Naturally, the clan fought back and fight back they did. They managed to destroy the demon ship and send the humans back to their disgusting metal village in the mainland but suffered many losses in the process. Dozens of Metkayina warriors lost their lives fighting to protect their reef but the death of Neteyam hit especially hard. For Aonung, Neteyam's death was the first time he had ever lost someone he would consider himself close too. Both pairs of his grandparents had passed before he was born and although their deaths saddened him, they didn't nearly affect him as hard as this. He managed to get through the burial without crying too much but after that he was a mess. His mind was a wild flurry of emotions. Sadness, guilt, rage all swirled within him uneasily, causing him to lash out at his family and act more secluded than usual.

With so many emotions bubbling away underneath his prickly demeanor, no one dared to go near Aonung. Often he would excuse himself from family gatherings to go sulk on the beach or in a secluded alcove somewhere. While on his own, he would find a flat place to sit, cross his legs, close his eyes, and taking Tsireya's advice, started to meditate. Before the Sully's arrival, Aonung had not been a very spiritual person, that was always Tsireya's thing. After Neteyam died, Aonung didn't know how to cope and Tsireya, seeing how emotionally vulnerable he was, gave him some tips. Of course he waved them off as unnecessary at the time but he later found that his meditating did help clear his mind and quell most of the angry thoughts from his head, not that he would ever admit that to Tsireya of course.

A few weeks after Neteyam's burial, Aonung found himself once again sulking to his secret spot, a secluded alcove he had found that he was certain no one knew about. As he approached the spot, his ears flickered as he heard a strange noise. Crouching down into a hunting position, Aonung flattened his ears to his head and walked with silent intent, hoping to find the source of the noise without it finding him. As Aonung slowly moved towards the source of the noise it started to become a little clearer what it was and it sounded like ... singing?

Confused, Aonung continued his approach and quickly hid behind a bush, crouching down so he was hidden but still able to see over it. As he situated himself behind the bush and peeked out, he finally got a good look at the source of the noise and rolled his eyes in annoyance.

Sitting in the alcove, splashing water on himself was Spider, the newest addition to his clan. Aonung hated the idea of having a sky person in his village, especially after their attack on his home but the Sully's insisted that he was one of them so his father had allowed him to stay. Aonung had made his dislike of Spider clear and refused to speak to the boy, leaving any area that Spider happened to be in. Unfortunately, Spider was practically attached to the hips of the Sully kids which meant Aonung couldn't see his friends without seeing him. At first, Spider had tried to be friendly to Aonung but his efforts were never reciprocated. Eventually, he stopped trying to become friends altogether and moved his attention elsewhere, which annoyingly made Aonung even more upset as he felt that the human was pitying him by leaving him alone. And now the human had the nerve to sit in the one place Aonung thought he had to himself, tainting it with his human-ness.

Spider, unaware of Aonung's simmering kept singing to himself, "♫ Fooooox on the run, you screamed and everybody comes a-running, take a run and hide yourself a-HOLY SHIT!" Spider quickly stopped singing as he noticed a bun of hair peaking out from behind a bush. Quickly composing himself, he looked closer at the hair and realized it looked familiar. "Wait a sec, Aonung? Is that you?" Spider asked as he looked in confusion as the floating hair quickly disappeared behind the bush. Aonung cursed himself for getting caught and raised his hands above his head.

"Yeah it's me don't freak out." Aonung slowly stood to his full height behind the bush. "You do know this is MY spot right, I come here to be alone, not to share with some hu-" Aonung quickly cut himself off as his cheeks began to blush and his eyes landed on Spider's fully nude body.

"Dude what's your problem?" Spider asked, completely oblivious to the fact that he was just bathing himself before Aonung had snuck up on him.

Aonung could only move his hand to point at Spider as his mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water (fitting, I know).

Spider followed his finger and looked down and finally realized he had his family jewels on full display. "Shit!!" Aonung quickly moved his head to the side as Spider reached for his loincloth that was set aside and put it on underwater.

Aonung, still blushing with his head turned, spoke out. "Are you good now?"

With a slight blush dusting his cheeks, Spider replied. "Yeah, I'm good." Half a beat later, Spider got an idea and with a mischievous glint in his eyes called over to him. "See anything you like?" He winked his eye dramatically as he teased the larger na'vi.

Aonung tried to act aloof but all that came out was a jumbled mess of stutters and a human swear that Tuk had taught him. Spider just stood there, revelling in the fact that he could so easily unravel Aonung, a fact he will be sure to use later.

Once Aonung was able to compose himself he looked far more angry than embarrassed. Putting his palm to his face and breathing out a sigh of annoyance, he spoke. "What are you doing here Spider?"

Spider just gestured his hands to the water around him. "Taking a bath what does it look like?"

Aonung just scoffed to himself "Yeah I get that you're taking a bath but why HERE?" To enunciate his point, Aonung dramatically gestured his arms to the clearing around himself.

Now it was Spider's turn to scoff. "What do you want me to do? Go nude on the beach and skinny dip infront of the whole clan?"

Aonung just groaned in exasperation as Spider did kind of have a point, not that he would ever admit it. "Just... go somehwere else next time alright? This is my spot, I found it first." Before Spider could respond, Aonung turned around and began walking back to the village mumbling to himself how sky people were the worst while Spider just stood back and watched, partly in confusion and another in humour as the large na'vi stomped away.

As Aonung continued his walk back to his marui, images of Spider's naked body started to flood his mind. Although he did get a good look at the front, it was Spider's backside that filled his mind. As Spider stood, small rivulets of water hugged his shapely rear, outlining his curves while the slightest movement of his hips caused an alluring jiggle. As Aonung relived those fleeting memories he felt a tightening sensation within his loincloth and looking down at himself, noticed a significant bulge had begun to form. his blush from earlier had returned as he realized what just happened. Looking around himself quickly to make sure no one was around, he scurried off to a nearby bush and tried to disrobe himself quickly to take care of his "little" problem.

Getting behind the bush, he practically tore off his loincloth as his erection bounced up and smacked his stomach, the light blue tip already leaking pre. With little finesse, Aonung quickly grabbed his aching cock and began furiously jerking himself off, all while images of Spider's naked body flashed through his mind. Bringing his free hand to his mouth, Aonung bit down on his knuckle to stifle his moans, biting so hard, a small drop of blood trickled down. Moving his hand faster and faster, Aonung chased his high until it all came crashing down and he erupted in pleasure, stars exploding behind his eyes.

Aonung could do little more than try to catch his breath after that. He stayed there behind the bush, breathing heavily as he tried to make sense of what just happened. He knows he likes girls, always has. Sure, he may have snuck a peak here or there whenever a warriors loincloth had slipped a little low but everyone did that... right? Aonung was quickly realizing he may not be as straight as he thought he was but even so, he knows for a fact that he shouldn't be having these thoughts about Spider. He was a human for Eywa's sake! Aonung just groaned in frustration as he cleaned himself up and got up from behind the bush, clumsily putting his loincloth back on.

"I was just pent up and Spider happened to be there". Aonung spoke to himself softly, trying to justify what just happened. "This was just a random, fucked-up coincidence, that's all". Aonung started to walk back to his marui. "This time tomorrow, I'll forget about these weird feelings and things can start to go back to normal".

Aonung's feelings for Spider did not go away the next day. In fact, his feelings only got stronger. Spider had become a sort of drug that Aonung craved, needed even. Every time Aonung saw Spider, those images of his naked body flooded his mind and he had to quickly excuse himself before anyone noticed the tent in his loincloth.

It didn't matter where or when Aonung saw Spider, the result was always the same and he was starting to get sick of it. Spider must have used some sort of sky-person magic on him or maybe he got drugged with an aphrodisiac that Lo'ak slipped into his food. Either way, Aonung knew he had to figure out how to get rid of these feelings and he figured what better way to do that than to confront the source himself?

"You're going to what?" Spider raised his eyebrows in confusion, not understanding why Aonung would even suggest this.

"Didn't you hear me the first time? I'm going to be taking over your swim training from Tsireya".

"That makes no sense. You don't even like me why are you taking over"?

"Something came up and my mother needs Tsireya's help, so now your stuck with me". Aonung's left eye twitched in annoyance. Why did Spider have to make everything so hard? (literally)

Out of the corner of his eye, Spider noticed Tsireya walking down the path towards them and called her over. "Hey Tsireya, did you know about this?"

Tsireya approached the two boys and knit her eyebrows in confusion. "Know about what, what's happened?" She looked to Aonung for clarification but as he opened his mouth to speak, Spider spoke up.

"Fish lips over here says he's taking over my swim lessons cause you're gonna be busy. Why didn't you tell me?"

Tsireya looked at Spider in confusion for a moment before turning back to Aonung. "What do you mean I'm busy? I haven't been called for anything."

"But you will be." Aonung spoke up. "Mother told me that she has a special task for you but wouldn't tell me what. She said she'd give it to you tonight. Probably some sort of secret tsahik lesson or something." Aonung was lying through his teeth and he prayed to Eywa that his mother, and sister for that matter, wouldn't skin him alive when they found out.

Tsireyas eyes widened in surprise. "Really? Oh I wonder what she'll tell me!" She quickly turned to Spider and kneeled down to be eye level with him. "Spider can you please let Aonung take over your swim training just for one night? This sounds important and I really don't want to say no to mother."

Spider looked between the two reef na'vi, eyes staring into Aonungs for a second longer before agreeing. "Ok fine. It's just for the night so I guess I'll be fine."

Tsireyas eyes lit up at Spider's agreeance. "Oh, thank you so much Spider!" She wrapped her large arms around him, completely enveloping the human boy in a tight embrace. Aonung looked on with barely concealed jealousy. "Ok well since we are all in agreeance." Aonung spoke up, interrupting the moment. "Spider, meet me at the alcove tonight before eclipse, you know the one. And don't be late, I'm not as forgiving as my sister." With that, he walked away, leaving his sister and Spider in stunned silence, Tsireya's arms still wrapped around Spider. "Geez, wonder what his problem is" Spider muttered out before getting the air squeezed out of him from Tsireyas tight hug.

Meanwhile, Aonung had begun to breathe heavily as he walked further away from the pair. Looking down at himself, he noticed a familiar bulge tenting his loincloth. Quickly readjusting his loincloth, he looked around for somewhere concealed and, like he had been doing so often before, he hurried to a bush to relieve himself. Once he found a bush to hide by, he quickly pulled off his loincloth and started jerking himself off. More images of Spider flooded his mind. His ass swaying slowly, the enticing meat of his rear on full display, another image of him splayed out on the sand, breathing heavily as he touched his own cock, stroking it softly as the length hardened in his hands. "Come on big boy, come and get me." The scene quickly changed to Spider crouching down in front of him, lips locked around his cock, his cheeks hollowed out as he sucked on Aonungs shaft like it was the greatest thing on Pandora. As his eyes reached Aonungs, the scene changed again and this time Spider laying on his stomach in the sand, looking behind himself as a hand reached back and spread his cheeks apart, his tight pink hole winking in the sunlight. The sight was too much and Aonung came in his hand, his heavy breathing barely disguised by the distant sound of sea waves crashing.

Removing his hand from his deflating cock, he opened his eyes and looked at the mess he made. Soon, he thought to himself, soon this will all be over.
