Dress Up

Summary:

Tisal plays dress up

For the alien baby club event

Work Text:

‘Chris have you seen my…’ Kate trailed off as she stepped into the living room and took in the sight before her.

Tisal, the baby Silurian and much loved member of their extended family, stood proudly in the middle of the room.

They were completely swamped by one of Kate’s jackets and with a coordinating scarf looped several times around them.

‘I am commander Katie Leftbwidge-Stuart and I demand you do as I say!’ The tot announced to their not so eager audience.

Rho the little judoon wasn’t impressed, and Nib and Nub the twin yeti’s started fighting with each other.

‘I’m talking!’ Tisal shouted, fixing them with a glare that rivalled Kate’s.

It would have had more impact but the aptly nicknamed ‘little warrior’ decided to stamp their foot at the same time, revealing a pair of Kate’s shoes far too big for little feet, which had been redecorated with what looked suspiciously like glitter glue.

Losing their balance as they also became tangled in the scarf, Kate leapt forward to rescue Tisal but Christofer was already there, scooping the tiny Silurian up and unwinding the scarf from around them.

‘Not too bossy,’ he chided them gently before setting them down with a wink, ‘that’s mummy’s job.’

He looked up to see Kate standing in front of him, eyebrow raised.

‘Hi?’ He offered with a sheepish smile.

‘Playing dress up I see,’ she commented dryly taking the scarf back from his hand and wrapping it around her own neck. ‘That’s another pair of shoes you owe me.’ She informed him smiling sweetly, pressing her lips against his.

Kate also dropped a kiss on Tisals head as she turned to leave, effortlessly separating Nib and Nub as she stepped over them, giving them half of the last cookie each.

‘I’ll send you a link.’

Christofer gave a half sigh, a soft smile on his face as she left the room. ‘See,’ he looked down at Tisal who was watching Kate leave with a look of awe on their face, ‘that’s how you do it.’
