Chapter Text

That day, Nicholas got lost in the woods.

It wasn’t his first time hiking, and on his first hike he didn’t get lost, didn’t break a bone, nor had one to pick with anyone. And yet, there he was, with a broken compass that was clearly not pointing North, a watch that died out and moss growing all over the place. He couldn’t even tell how he got strayed from the path and ended up in an area that was nowhere to be found in his memories, despite having explored those woods inch by inch in the past years.

Anyway, Nicholas got lost in the woods and was sitting like a loser on a moist remnant of a trunk, wetting his throat with water. He hadn’t much left in the canteen, which was increasing his irritation. Not that he didn’t know how to get clean water out of a stream, if only he came across one. Nicholas was just irritated because he was lost when, by that time, he should be at the refuge with his friends, enjoying food and alcohol. But no, he decided to get lost.

Decided was a big word anyway because Nicholas squeezed his brain while resting on the broken trunk and couldn’t pinpoint the moment when he turned around and his friends weren’t there, and the path wasn’t there, and even the trees looked weirdly unfamiliar. The moss was flourishing, the leaves looked greener, the ground felt softer and more humid under his feet, and everything was embraced by a thin mist.

Nicholas closed his almost empty canteen and quivered. Humidity had crawled under his clothes, and he couldn’t stop shivering. If only he could find a rocky cluster or somewhere not taken by the wet undergrowth, he might light a fire. Or if only the signal of his phone came back to life, he could call for help or—

Someone was singing.

In the gentle sounds of the woods, through the cricketing bugs and rustling leaves, Nicholas heard a voice. No words uttered, only a far melody that reached him. Everything around him was the same, green and bushy, so Nicholas walked in the direction of the voice.

Splotch. Splotch. Splotch.

At every step, it felt like the soft squelching ground latched onto his boots, trying to drag him into the soil. Nicholas could walk normally, but it required more effort than he would have wanted to not stumble in the slush pulsating with life, mosses and lichens.

Despite his efforts, the voice wasn't getting any closer.

Through the trees, Nicholas finally caught sight of a clearing and sped up. He stumbled in a groove of roots and didn't fall only because of a close tree that graciously scraped his hand in return for not having Nicholas plaster his face on the ground.

One, two, three. Four more steps, and Nicholas saw it, a pond covered in mist and surrounded by a circle of empty thin grass drenched in water.

Sitting on the edge of the pond, there was a person.

Pale arms sprouted from a cascade of blonde wavy hair so long that the locks spread out on the grass like roots from a plant.

Nicholas carefully threaded forward. “Hey.” He got no response, and maybe it was because his voice came out weak due to the high humidity irritating his throat. “Hello,” he repeated, raising his voice, and it seemed like he was heard. The person lightly turned his head around, but only barely enough for Nicholas to catch sight of his nose and chin.

“I heard you the first time.”

The unexpected deep male voice took Nicholas aback. He moved in closer.

“Then why didn’t you reply?” His boots were being sucked in the soft ground as he approached the person, but not enough to be stuck. Nicholas knew he was more wobbling than walking, probably looking like a penguin, so he was glad that the man was seemingly focused on the pond. Almost to his side, but with some distance still between them, Nicholas realized that the man wasn’t wearing any clothes. Naked skin, unfazed by the cold humid air, so pale that threads of greenish veins were visible, forming a weird geometrical pattern.

Nicholas took a step backwards, the muddy grass clinging onto his feet.

The man raised his head.

Eyes as green as the marks on his skin and crowned with eyelashes as fair as his long hair. The pink of his lips gave a glimpse of life to his ethereal features with no imperfections if not for a single mole under his right eye. There wasn’t any other foreign sign on his body, except for that weird intricate pattern of veins — if those under his skin were veins at all. No stretch marks, no moles, no scars… His legs had disappeared in the deep blue water, and between his thighs—

“Rude.”

Nicholas looked up into his eyes again.

“What?”

“You are staring, like all humans.”

Those words bypassed Nicholas’ irritation in being addressed like that.

“What are you?”

“As I said, rude.” The man retreated his legs (long legs) from the water to fold them on his side. He wasn’t blinking much, Nicholas noticed. “We’ve been called in many ways. Some humans used to call us children of the forest.” He twirled a fair lock under his index finger, moving his cold eyes to his hair. “My brother told me many call us nymphs. It’s a silly name. I don’t like it.” His sharp gaze went back to Nicholas. “What’s your name, child?”

There was no way he would just tell his name to that weird man (creature?). All he had to do was to carefully step back, and leave that place. “...Nicholas.” And yet, his lips moved on their own.

“Ni-cho-las.” His name rolling out the man’s tongue made a shiver crawl up Nicholas’ spine, and all of a sudden, his legs were grounded to the muddy soil, unable to move. “Come here, Nicholas.” A calm order.

And Nicholas’ legs could move again. He filled in the distance between himself and the nymph. The damp cold air was filling in his lungs, and Nicholas’ chest hurt in the attempt of hiding his heavy breath.

“Are you scared of me, Nicholas?” The man gave him a cold smile.

Nicholas could have easily pushed the nymph into the pond. This would give him enough time to turn his back around and run away, put distance between them, leave the woods and never come back again. But his legs weren’t moving, and his entire body was frozen. Nicholas couldn’t help himself but stare at the eerie eyes looking back at him.

“That’s good.” A hand on his thigh startled Nicholas, who did nothing to stop the nymph from climbing his fingers up to his leg and reaching his groin. “Humans have grown cheekier and cheekier. Thinking they can go everywhere and do everything by imposing their own self-made rules. They've forgotten they can be prey as well.”

Nicholas didn’t want to feel aroused when the nymph groped him. But he did. He was getting hard despite the thick fabric numbing the contact of the fingers caressing the shape of his bulge. His mind could formulate the thought of leaving, but his body wasn’t reacting at all.

“A human named me and my brother,” the nymph admitted. “Nai. It was a long time ago… You humans live for so short it’s ridiculous you feel like the owners of the world.”

I don’t, Nicholas wanted to say. Instead, he emitted a low groan that had wriggled through the words frozen in his throat.

Nai smirked at him. “It’s always easy with your kind of humans. The ones with this.” He pulled down Nicholas’ trousers just enough to show his shamefully half-hard penis. For a moment, Nicholas caught a glimpse of human curiosity that surfaced from the uncanny expression Nai was wearing. But he wasn’t given enough time to delve deeper into his thoughts, as the view of Nai’s lips getting closer to his wet tip betrayed his self-control, and desire made his face burn.

His erection disappeared inside the nymph’s mouth, swallowed down until the soft lips touched his bush of black hair. It was the warmest Nicholas had ever felt, and his fingers twitched, guided by the instinct of grabbing the nymph’s head. But Nai looked up at him, and Nicholas’ moan ended in a whimper as he restrained himself under his dangerous eyes. His dick sliding on Nai's tongue as he pulled his head back made him want to thrust his hips forward, to fuck that welcoming mouth until his legs would be left shaking. Nicholas felt the desire within his bones, but a clutching cold fear tamed his lust enough to hold him back. Nai had his testicles in one hand, and Nicholas was afraid he could read his mind, and that he could rip them away if he displeased him. Once again, his body reacted to fear with excitement, and a white gush oozed from his tip.

“What a weird boy…” Nai firmly groped Nicholas’ testicles. “Don't you want to fuck my mouth?” Nicholas jolted, because of fear and because the massage on his testicles felt so good his knees might give up at any point. “Grab my hair, and fuck my pussy until it bleeds of pleasure?” The grip got stronger, and Nicholas moaned, shameless and aroused. Cold fingers slithered along Nicholas’ waist, shifting down through the crease. “Or would you do me gently while uttering empty promises?”

The sensation of something foreign entering his body should have made Nicholas shudder in unease or pain, not melting and excitedly wanting more.

“Suit yourself.” Nai pushed his finger deeper inside and ran his tongue along Nicholas’ warm shaft. He was trembling with a heavy breath, and tasted gross and bitter. But Nai still took the head of his dick into his mouth and sucked, bringing Nicholas to moan loudly. He added a second finger, pushing further inside, and Nicholas whimpered.

Just another glance up, and Nicholas’ hands froze. He clamped on his sweater, wishing that he could move his legs and escape and also that he could pull the nymph's head closer to his groin, or thrust his hips into his mouth, or tell him to move his fingers faster inside him and squeeze his testicles harder. He was burning, but not enough. The mouth on his cock, the ticklish breath on his skin and the hands touching him weren't enough. It was slow and relentless. Nicholas felt pleasure surging only to stop and soothe back when the lips popped away from his erection, or the fingers stopped pushing against that spot that was making him quiver, or the hand didn't fondle him anymore. It was frustrating. Nicholas clenched his teeth, and the nymph looked up at him.

His cock was buried into that sweet mouth. One simple gesture, and the nymph could have caused Nicholas endless pain. Nicholas froze, and the eyes didn't let go of him, nor when the painfully hard erection, free of the wet constriction, bobbed against his leg, nor when his knees finally gave in. Nicholas knelt on the ground and let go of his backpack.

“That's pitiful,” the nymph observed.

Nicholas had enough time to pull himself standing and make a run to exit the clearing. But his legs felt too heavy even to move, and he had no choice but to give into the hand on his chest that pushed him leaning down on the cold squishy ground. One of his ears was whistling.

The nymph hovered above, his pale blonde hair raining on Nicholas.

“...are you going to eat me?”

One hand slipped under Nicholas’ sweater — he regretted not listening to his brother and wearing a tank top beneath.

“I am.” The hand was cold, almost like ice. “You stink and look stringy. But unlike the other men, you didn’t consume me.”

The nymph towered Nicholas. He was tangible, and yet looked ethereal, as if his body was mist incarnated. A transparent droplet of dew gently ran down his thighs, coming from between his legs.

“They all felt so proud,” Nai sat on Nicholas’ groin, “with their dirty flaccid cocks inside me.”

Nicholas felt the wet folds pressing against his shaft, leaving him breathless.

“Why are you,” he was shivering from the cold and the arousal, “doing this?”

“Because I can.” Nai slightly tilted his head. “Isn’t this the reason why humans act?”

“But you are not human!”

His voice is followed by silence. A soft smile curved Nai's lips, and at that moment he could have looked human, if it wasn't for his markings, if he didn't look so eerily inhuman.

“Yes, I'm not. And you are not like the other men who laid with me.”

Dread clutched Nicholas as he felt his cock sliding into something wet and soft. He wanted to wriggle away, but Nai's green irises shackled him.

“I devoured them while they were inside me, grunting like animals in heat.” It was going deeper and deeper. Nai's hands pressed on his chest were cold, but his insides were warm. “I won't do it with you.”

The frantic breath told Nai that Nicholas didn't believe him.

“You've done a good job so far. The other men were far too driven by their lust to realize what they had gotten themselves into. I will give you a reward.” In saying so, Nai had swallowed Nicholas’ dick inside himself.

**********

It felt tight, warm, wet, wonderful. Nicholas looked up, his view slightly blurred. Surrounded by the thin mist, the nymph was staring down at him with cold eyes, without blinking, almost without moving. Only his hips gently moved in a motion that was enough to keep Nicholas into the clutch of mindless pleasure. It wasn't frenzied, it wasn't rushed. It was intoxicating. The nymph didn't need to touch Nicholas's body, to kiss his lips, his neck, his chest to give him pleasure. His mere presence and beauty were enough to make Nicholas quiver.

“Are you close already?”

Nicholas clenched his teeth. He wanted to look away, to stop staring at that charming beauty, so perfect that it was inhuman — and it was, but Nicholas’ cock was hard and was loving the grip of the warm gushy insides. Spellbound to his captor, Nicholas was in awe with his body and in fear with his mind. He prayed in his head that the nymph would stop, that he would let him go.

But he didn’t. The nymph kept Nicholas’ body trapped in unwanted desire, ignoring his eyes filled with grudge and terror.

“Oh.” The nymph stopped for a moment, and Nicholas hated how much he craved for him to go on, now that he was so so close. “That’s when you should be talking loudly. When your entire body is trembling and your scent becomes so pungent it’s disgusting.” He waited for Nicholas to say a word.

In the heavy silence, there was only Nicholas’ shaky breath.

“...I… didn’t want this.”

The nymph narrowed his eyes. “...neither had I.”

Nicholas had the impression that for a moment, he wasn’t looking at him. However, it lasted barely the blink of an eye, the time the nymph used to heavily bounce on him, squeezing and pulling his cock with no mercy. Nicholas squirmed and screamed. The nymph stared down at him, unfazed.

It was the best orgasm Nicholas had. It was also the worst. All the pleasure rushed up in a volatile release that immediately washed away into ache. He felt his legs no more, his groin was burning and breathing was painful. Nicholas stared at the slice of sky enclosed in the tree crowns looming above him. Against the far clouds, the nymph’s face appeared. The greenish marks on his skin seemed to glow, and so did his uncanny eyes. They resembled glass marbles.

“You can rest.” His cold hand rested on Nicholas’ face. “You did better than I expected.”

Nicholas stubbornly kept his eyes open against the palm. His body had decayed in a slumber opposed to his awakened mind. He wanted to move, he wanted to run away. He had to.

Or maybe he didn’t.

It was dark and he was tired. The cold touch was weirdly comforting, and it became deeper and deeper, like water splashing all around him. A lazy thought floated into his head, even if there weren’t words he would say or emotions he would convey with words. Before he could decide if opening his mouth or not, the nymph’s voice whispered into his head.

“Sleep now.”

That day, Nicholas got lost in the woods.
