"What do you mean you quit?!"
She did not mean to overhear the argument of the party across the room but the acoustics of the guild reception hall were a little too good. It made private conversations carry a lot farther than most wanted. Oh, now that she thought about it that might be because the guild charged for enclosed meeting rooms. Huh. She would have to think more on that later, the voices she was overhearing were getting a but more heated.
"I'm not going to say it again, you guys are far too reckless. Our monk has been bedridden for two weeks because of that last A-Rank quest and even Shino has moments where I have to worry."
Said, druid? huh that was a really nice cotton jacket. But anyway, the one Hinata was tentatively viewing as a druid didn't give too much of an outward reaction but her sharp eyes did catch his brow furrowing.
"Look. I'm getting too old for this lifestyle, and the behavior of this party isn't making that any better. So I'm out. I wish you boys luck, but I'm officially tendering my resignation to the active roster tonight."
"But what abou-" his attempt to carry on the conversation was rebuffed by a wave of her hand.
Said same hand wrapped around the head of the guy who had been yelling, pulling him into a hug with the shorter woman. Breaking the hug, but not her hold, she pulled him into a kiss on the forehead.
"Stay safe Kiba. I know you can lead this party to be great but I'm not... I can't... Good luck."
Pulling back, the blonde woman -who a blushing Hinata noted had an absolutely massive chest- gave a curt nod to the other party member and finally pulled away to leave. The now named Kiba raised his hand, probably to call out to her but was stopped by Shino placing a hand on his shoulder.
Running that same hand through his hair Kiba's face turned to a frown.
"*sigh* What are we going to do without a healer man?"
It was at hearing that question that Hinata finally decided to interject.
"Um, hello." She barely held back flinching as two pairs of eyes locked onto her. Too far to back out now.
"I did not - didn't mean to overhear. But if your party needs a healer I can help?"
It was probably quite sad that she was happy at how bright his face lit up at her.
"Oh shit yeah! What's your class?"
The answer she gave was unfortunately only the first lie she told to her new party.
