Chapter Text
Exploring the afternoon Neverrean market with a happy and glowing Zinnia Potter was an unexpected but wonderful blessing, thought George, as he smiled down at the onyx haired submissive on his arm.
So much had happened following the battle of Hogwarts and at first many of the revelations caused more drama and upset. But now, nearly nine months in this new realm, they were finally ready to truly begin this new adventure. George had brought Zinnia out today in hopes of finding a location for their joke shop and to have some one on one time with his ZiZi.
He had left Fred at home to his moping. He was still prone to days of melancholy after Percy had saved Freddie’s life in the final battle, but at the cost of his own. George missed his older brother dearly and made sure to thank Percy everyday for sparing him his twin’s death. George felt like Percy was probably looking down on Fred with his judgmental eyebrows asking himself if Fred was going to waste his sacrifice. Above all Percy was a rational bloke and would want each of them to live their best life in his absence and Fred was not right now. They really needed to get back to making the world laugh.
Zinnia squeezed his arm, pulling him from his thoughts. George looked down at his fellow dragel to see her eyes on a building for sale across the street from where they were standing. It was a massive stone structure with two large shop fronts and what looked to be two stories of apartments above it.
George looked back at Zinnia in confusion. “ZiZi this whole building is for sale. Isn’t it a bit much?”
Zinnia looked up at him with a mischievous sparkle in her eyes that made George’s heart lurch. The twins and Zinnia had known since they had inherited that there existed a potential soul bond between them, but everyone wanted to wait until ZiZi found her main triad. When she looked at him like that, it took all his willpower not to bond with her right here on the sidewalk.
ZiZi, the evil temptress, giggled at his discomfort and spoke before he could do anything ridiculous. Like bowing at her feet. “I knew we had been looking for the new location for WWW, but over the last month Oret and I spoke about my career goals. I know I don’t have to work with all the money in the Black, Potter, and Peverell vaults but I would be bored with nothing to do all day.”
George gasped and grabbed his chest in feigned dismay. “Bored? Never! No with your willing servants, Forge and Gred, around. Only ask and chaos will be placed at your fingertips.”
Zinnia laughed, “I know. I know. Anyways, when I thought about what I loved most about the wixen world on Earth and what I have seen a lack of since we came to Neverah, I came to one conclusion. Candy.” George raised an eyebrow and ZiZi rolled her eyes at his skepticism. “Yes there are a couple of bakeries and sweet shops but they are all rather mundane and boring. I want to make magical candy.”
ZiZi whirled out of his arms and struck a pose. She spread her arms wide and her long curly hair blew in the breeze. He watched her green eyes glow and she spoke in a grand theatrical voice, “Imagine flying Chocolate Nyturas with cards of the famous and historical Neverreans to collect. Lava Licorice Whips or Bubble Bonbons that cause bubbles to exit your mouth/gills into a multicolor wonder. Maybe Breezie Butterscotch that will create your own personal breeze as you walk. I have so many ideas. I want to embrace my namelessness and cater to all the elements that have made Neverah so amazing.” Then she bowed.
George grinned and applauded loudly, “Truly amazing, my dearest ZiZi. So we need two store fronts.” ZiZi nodded in agreement. George pointed to the top of the building, “What are we going to do with all that apartment space?”
Zinnia turned back to the building and gave it a look of contemplation. Then she waved a hand at the top and offered, “Well, we could convert it into offices. As you know, Hermione wants to start a spell crafting and warding business and Andromeda wants to finish her runes mastery and start working for the guild. I don’t think we want them to meet with clients at our island home. Then there’s Ron, of course. He still needs to finish gheyo training, but he told me he had some ideas on his future that could use some space.”
George winked and continued, “And who knows what space our future circle might need as well.”
ZiZi blushed all over, making George grin wide. Quickly he looked around and got an idea of the area they were in. Still close to the central market but heading to the shadow and fire districts. It was perfect really.
George swooped over to Zinnia and twirled her in his arms. They both giggled and he shouted, “Let’s go message the realtor!” Seeing ZiZi’s bright smile as they skipped down the street, George just knew the future was going to be bright.
