Chapter Text
Jinu was fascinating. He always was.
Abby didn't know how else he could describe him. Something about the way he radiated confidence, not a cocky and annoying one, but humble and graceful. He has known him for all four hundred years Jinu spent under Gwi-ma's vicious control. Abby was there already when the man with the prettiest, yet seductive voice had been thrown into the pits of hell.
He didn't remember his past. His human past. And quite frankly, Abby wasn't very keen on finding out and restoring the memories, even if an opportunity arose somehow. The desire to learn about his human life lost its appeal once he saw how Jinu suffered with his own.
Maybe it was alright. Maybe it wasn't so bad and awful to live as a blank sheet of paper. Although Abby could disagree with the statement. He had his "demon" memories now to recall, be it fondly or with crippling regret.
Abby had nothing to lose.
Everyone in the underworld had unanimously decided to call him "Abby" due to him having the most incredible abs they've ever laid their eyes upon. At least, that was how they explained it to him with a whole presentation of ten slides. And all of them had photos of his abs as solid reasoning. He was flustered by the attention, to say the least. Abby didn't wear anything revealing for a whole year after.
Since Abby was stuck in this form and age, he didn't have to do any grueling workouts to keep his abs in proper shape. Well, that was the perk of being a demon. At least something had got to be good, right?
He and Jinu were never close before this ridiculous "boy band" plan Jinu had concocted. Abby didn't even know Jinu could be bold like this.
All the years Jinu liked to spend his eternity in hell alone, just playing his old bipa and singing in the quietest voice possible. Abby didn't break his solitude. Not even once in four hundred years.
Jinu had enough on his plate with deafening voices in his head, which kept pestering him in a barrage of constant regrets and shame.
So Abby stayed away. It seemed as the best thing he could do for Jinu. He has never introduced himself to Jinu. Never even said a simple "hi!".
If Abby were brave and self-assured, he would've walked up to Jinu and confessed right away. But Jinu would probably ignore him, a weirdo with pink hair, and turn his back to him. Abby didn't want to get his heart broken.
So he chose to admire from afar, with a safe distance in between.
But now things were about to change, and Abby wasn't sure if he could stay calm and collected around his new bandmate. Especially if this so-called bandmate's hotness could compare with hell itself. Add a charming personality to that face, and Abby would probably perish.
No one could resist Jinu. So Abby knew he was going to suffer even more from now on.
