I wake up in my hab, late at night. Yet another nightmare about a fixation of mine. I gotta get some Class Zs from my vet sometime, those should-

 

There’s a vine coming through my window

 

Petal, why don’t you let me in?~

The shutter cut off the invading vine, now it was mercifully disconnected from the thing standing outside my hab. The shutters should hold until I could get help here. Was there even anyone I could call to help me?

 

Petal~ Why don’t you just open that silly little window of yours, and let me in? We both know I’ll get to you regardless~

 

I could hear her voice moving closer and closer to my window-

 

I heard the window open.

I couldn’t figure out a way to work it into the story well but Miss Canadense was totally standing there watching the POV character sleep through her window at night for like a month.
