Work Text:

Sunoo woke up early.

He always did.

Among all their friends, he was always the first one to greet the sun — or wait for it to rise.

So it was no surprise that he was the first to wake again this morning.
But instead of watching the skyline or waiting for golden light, he turned slightly to admire something better.

He smiled softly.

Heeseung was beside him.

Still fast asleep — notorious for only rising when it’s basically lunchtime.
His lips were parted slightly, but no snores. His bangs had fallen over his eyes, and one arm was tucked under his head like a pillow.

Sunoo couldn’t help it. He reached out and ghosted his fingertips over Heeseung’s lower lip. Gently, barely touching, afraid to wake him.

Heeseung always said Sunoo had the softest lips. But Sunoo disagreed. Heeseung’s were the softest. Not because he had kissed many (he hadn’t), but because he felt it. Heeseung’s lips were always warm — possessive, yet gentle.

Sunoo lay back again and stared at the ceiling.

They were in Tokyo for a two-day concert. Tonight was the final show, then they’d get two days of rest before flying to Osaka.

It was tiring — exhausting even — but this was their dream.
Their bodies ached, their voices wore thin, but the love from their fans made it all worth it.

And anyway, he had no right to complain. He’d promised Heeseung: We’ll reach our dreams together.

They’d been together for two years now. The management knew — but asked them to be extremely careful. So even if fans speculated they were fighting or had broken up, they just let them think so.

If only they knew the truth.

“Why don’t you ever dream about me?”

His thoughts were interrupted — and his lips were suddenly claimed.

Heeseung was awake.
And already kissing him.

Sunoo instinctively wrapped his arms around Heeseung’s neck and kissed him back.
But when he felt the boy’s hands start to wander, he gently pushed him away.

“It’s too early for that, honey.”

Heeseung left one last peck before rolling back onto the bed. He turned to face Sunoo, propping himself up with one elbow.

“So mornings are off-limits now?”

“Not exactly. But we haven’t had breakfast yet. And I’m guessing you didn’t even pray.”

Heeseung closed his eyes briefly.

“Amen. There. I prayed.”

“You’re ridiculous.”

Heeseung grinned.

“What are you smiling at now?”

“Nothing. I’m just... happy. We’re in Japan, and I get to have you all to myself.”

“Stop.”

“I’m just saying — maybe it’s a blessing that Ni-ki’s in our group. Gives me an excuse to tell the managers we should room together.”

“You do that even in the States. You always choose me.”

“Of course. Who else would I pick?”

Sunoo laughed at Heeseung’s mock-disgusted face.

“They’re all grown men. But I’m not dating any of them.”

“Oh? Then who are you dating?”

“Kim Sunoo.”

Heeseung kissed him again — just once this time.

“Wow. Thanks, Lee Heeseung.”

They eventually got up and made their way to the bathroom.
While Sunoo brushed his teeth, Heeseung wrapped his arms around him from behind, resting his chin on his shoulder. He tugged down Sunoo’s robe slightly and pressed a kiss to his bare shoulder.

“Thank you. For an enchanting night.”

Sunoo flushed red. He elbowed Heeseung in the ribs — but the boy just laughed.

After rinsing, Sunoo muttered,

“You always do that when I can’t answer.”

“What? I’m being sincere. I’m thankful for last night. I’m happy. It was real. You’re still shy with me?”

They spoke only through the mirror. Sunoo couldn’t bring himself to look directly at him.

“I don’t know how to answer you.”

Before Sunoo could step out of the bathroom, Heeseung suddenly trapped him between his arms and the sink.

“Stay there. I’ll brush my teeth.”

“Heeseung, come on. I have to get dressed.”

“I’ll take it off anyway.”

“You’re impossible.”

“Stay put. Brushing my teeth now.”

Heeseung began brushing — still hugging him, not letting him go. And just to be difficult, he pressed Sunoo closer.

Sunoo tried to escape — but froze.

He felt something.

His face turned scarlet, and he buried it in Heeseung’s chest.

“You’ll pay for this, Lee Heeseung.”

Heeseung spit into the sink and grinned.

“Now? I’m ready. Willing to pay.”

“You’re so annoying.”
