Rebooting Game: I Love You
Chapter I.

“Fuck!” Atsumu shouted as he slammed his laptop shut. He was seething with rage from his very core. His shirt was drenched with sweat, his eyes were burning from staring at his screen for too long and his hair was tousled on top of his head– like he had gotten into a duel with a bear and lost.
Of fucking course. Just when he was about to win the Dream Hack autumn tournament –he happened.
Sakusa Kiyoomi.
His greatest rival in the esports community and the biggest annoyance in his life. It was as if Sakusa’s one goal in life was belittling and tormenting Atsumu with that stupidly annoying aim of his.
Atsumu had never felt the need to hate someone, he would only feel mild dislike towards them. Atsumu had never truly hated someone– but then came Sakusa Kiyoomi, destroying that mindset Atsumu once held. Sakusa Kiyoomi was the one person Atsumu couldn’t figure out and he hated that.
He hated him.
He didn’t even see the appeal in Sakusa in the first place– like sure he was stupidly hot and had impeccable aim, but how much does that truly matter if the guy has a shitty personality? Even worse, Saksua barely even talks in the first place, so whenever he does talk–it's either to tell someone to stop talking or belittle them.
Atsumu didn’t know the real reason why Sakusa didn’t talk much, he could only assume reasons. Probably because he thinks he’s better than everyone else, he thought bitterly. That was the main reason Atsumu hated him, he was stuck-up and also wouldn’t give Atsumu the light of day.
RIIIIIIIIINNNNNNGGG!
The shrill sound of a phone ringing filled the room, illuminating it with the light coming from the phone. Atsumu took a quick glance down at the phone and realized who was calling– It was Osamu , his twin brother and the second biggest annoyance in his life alongside Sakusa.
“Whaddaya want ya scrub?” Atsumu asked as he accepted the call. He wasn’t really in the mood to be chatting with Osamu as he knew he would get angrier one way or another.
“What a way to greet me Tsumu,” Osamu replied in a monotone voice before switching over into a softer, more concerned one, “But seriously, ya okay? I saw the match and I knew you’d be pissed off before even calling ya.”
Atsumu sighed, he couldn’t be mad at Osamu for something that wasn’t his fault. “I dunno,” Atsumu started, “I’m just pissed off, why’s he like this?” Atsumu started huffing out of impatience, “Like, what did I do to him? Ya know? I didn’t do shit and he’s always this pissy for no fuckin’ reason at all.” he huffed.
Osamu just listened carefully, not wanting to disrupt Atsumu’s rant or, even better yet– piss him off more. After he was finished, Osamu started talking, “Well…maybe it's not ya? It could just be him and his personality,” Osamu’s voice crackled through the phone.
Atsumu already knew it was his personality, but Sakusa just treated him worse due to their rivalry. Atsumu knew he should just accept it and move on, but it made him feel like shit sometimes, doubting his capabilities and playing style.
Atsumu could hear shuffling and muffled voices coming from the other side of the phone before Osamu started speaking again. “Shit, I gotta go Tsumu, I’ll talk to ya later. Just ignore him for now ya scrub,” Osamu voiced. He was obviously in the middle of something that Atsumu didn’t want to interrupt or make him late for, so he bid him a goodbye and left him alone.
Atsumu was now left alone in the eerie silence of his room and the soft hum of his fan. He figured he should get some work done by checking his socials, posting news about his upcoming projects and texting his managers.
He opened up his computer from where he had last shut it and searched through his bookmarks till he opened up X. Immediately on his feed, he was met with a ship thread of him and Sakusa.

Atsumu froze, people shipped him with…SAKUSA? Sakusa Kiyoomi? The one person he couldn’t stand and he was sure Sakusa felt the same about him. Atsumu looked further through the replies, eyes reading each reply of this thread.
Tension? What tension? The tension of them wanting to kill each other? That was anything BUT romantic! Atsumu felt like he was getting an aneurysm from this thread alone. As he was scrolling through the thread, his thumb slipped and misclicked.
Shit. Atsumu had just clicked like on one of the ship accounts posts. Atsumu’s eyes widened as he quickly tried to unlike the post, but it was too late. Atsumu slowly felt his soul detach from his body. This was how he was going to go out huh? He thought to himself. He was not going to live through this, not when the poster of the thread posted another tweet.

It was posted five minutes ago yet had already five-thousand likes and one-thousand reposts. Atsumu could feel the headache now settling in as he imagined the lecture he would receive from his manager later on. Not to forget, Atsumu’s social media team that consisted of ten people were probably losing their minds.
Although Atsumu was a PR disaster, he had the human decency not to mess it up even more and cause more trouble for his PR team–so he simply didn’t comment and instead decided to shut down his phone and not think about anything more about Sakusa.
One thing was certain, Atsumu hated Sakusa Kiyoomi no matter what anybody said and that wouldn’t change. No matter how much his fans decided to ship them, it would never come true. They would never date– let alone be friends. The thought of dating Sakusa put a sickly feeling in his mouth and a churning in his stomach.
At Least he wouldn’t have to see Sakusa everywhere he went for much longer, MSBY would be announcing that they had officially signed him under their management and he would officially be a professional esports player from that day onward– not having to see Sakusa in solo tournaments would be a dream come true.
Atsumu couldn’t wait to see who else MSBY signed as they had informed him he would not be the only new addition to their team and that there would be one other new addition on it. Atsumu was interested in seeing who it was– Maybe it was Koduzuken, one of the most popular gaming youtubers.
Aside from the new addition, he was excited to meet those on the team already. Meian-san was a big role model of his when he started out in the industry not to mention he really wanted to meet the legendary, “Ninja Shoyo” and “Ace of All Trades Kotaro.”
Tomorrow was a big day so he figured the best thing to do was sleep through this crisis and wake up feeling refreshed by the news of his singing. With that final thought, Atsumu drifted off to sleep, not knowing MSBY had already delivered the news of the two new members to the public.
