Chapter Text
The knife was in their hand it was never Chara who did it, it was him. He could not stop now he had to finish the job. Raising the knife higher they plunged it down into Sans chest he just laid there they couldn’t see his expression and they did not want to, they could not face him, not when they broke their promise, not when they had failed so horrendously.
The blood spilling down only growing as he plunged the blade over and over buttercups bloomed. More and more they spread till they covered the floor, the pillars and walls creeping up to the ceiling.
The slight rattle of a chain was the only sign that Sans had moved raising a single hand shackle tight enough on his ribs to burn and crack his delicate bones. Fingers brushed across my tears wiping away the darkness that spilled from me. No, the tears inexplicably falling down my face were real tears not the facsimiles they usually were. It was strange to be crying for someone I’ve never met and yet I am mourning their existence even as I am snuffing out their soul, and turning their body to dust. The fingers gently tipped my head up he wasn’t angry, he wasn’t crying what lay rested upon his face was a gentle smile. The only smile he had ever seen smile down upon him with a look so gentle and sorrowful it wasn’t pity in his gaze only understanding.
I can’t help but wonder if it was perhaps me who wanted to release him from the pain rather then from threat or fear. Did he want to die or was he simply resigned I do not know I wish I did. He had killed Sans that was the truth. He was the Killer and he would bare that label for eternity.
