The school bell rang, and that was the queue for the students to leave campus, Vi was in AP chemistry for her last class of the day. She was looking down at her paper, studying it and making sure everything was correct, when the bell rang. But she didn’t hear it, she sat there for a good while her eyes were glued to her paper, when a hand tapped her on her shoulder. “Are you ready? I’ve been waiting outside the classroom for awhile” the blue haired girl signed with her hands. ‘Vi was deaf’ has been since childbirth. The blue haired girl was wearing an all black skirt, with a long white sleeve dress shirt that was tied up like a half shirt. While Vi was wearing black jeans with a white long sleeve t-shirt with a black tie around her neck.
Vi smiled slightly and signed “hey Caitlyn, I’m sorry, I didn’t realize the bell rang.” “That’s quite alright, let’s just get going. I have a project I need your help on” Caitlyn smiled as she signed. Vi got up from her seat as she gathered her stuff and both women walked out the classroom.

Vi and Caitlyn were best friends since childhood, Caitlyn had found some Piltover kids bullying Vi in an alleyway because she was from zaun. Caitlyn later on found out that Vi was deaf. Caitlyn had managed to scare off the bullies, and from that day on, they were like glue and stuck side by side to one another.

Caitlyn and Vi were walking down the hallway when someone from behind them had called out Caitlyn’s name. “Hey cait! Wait up!” The girl said from behind. Caitlyn looked back and halted for the girl to catch up, Vi reciprocated the action. Vi looked back and her face instantly made a scowling appearance, it was ‘Maddie’ the girl who had a crush on Caitlyn. Maddie finally had caught up to the women “Hey Caitlyn, I didn’t mean to intrude but I was wanting to speak to you-“ Maddie started to say as she looked over at Vi “alone” she finished. Vi scrunched up her nose as she read Maddie’s lips and ended up making a monotone sound and instantly regretted it. She hated it when people heard her voice in any kind of way. Since she was deaf, even if she made the tiniest sound, it was muffled and awkward and she didn’t like it one bit, especially when Caitlyn could hear.
Caitlyn looked over at Vi when Vi made the noise, and Vi sunk her head to try and hide. Caitlyn put a hand on VI’s shoulder and signed “can you wait in the car? I’ll make it quick”. Caitlyn’s mom let Caitlyn drive one of the cars today for school. Vi was angry, and she didn’t know why so she just shrugged, put her hands in her pockets and walked out the building. Caitlyn was confused on what made Vi angry but was yanked from her thoughts when Maddie started speaking. “Uhm..I was wondering if I could take you out tomorrow night?” Maddie said questioning herself. Caitlyn didn’t know what to say, she didn’t like Maddie that way but didn’t have it in herself to tell Maddie to her face so she agreed. “Of course, that would be nice” Caitlyn said smiling.
Vi made her way to the car as she mumbled to herself. For whatever reason, Vi hated it when girls or even boys flirted with Caitlyn, hated how girls thought they had a chance with someone as beautiful as Caitlyn. At that thought, Vi aggressively opened the car door, sat in the passenger seat and slammed the door hard. Vi was now thinking about Caitlyn’s past relationships, on how they took her kindness for granted, used her for popularity, and only dated her for her money. Vi rubbed her temples as the thoughts kept on flooding her mind. Caitlyn needed someone who loves her for her, someone like Vi? “Wait..No” Vi shook her head of the thought. She can’t think like that, Caitlyn was her best friend.
Vi was yanked from her thoughts when she felt the car shake from the car door opening. Vi looked over and watched Caitlyn get into the car. ‘Gods she was so beautiful’ Vi thought. Caitlyn looked over at Vi and smiled as she looked back and started the car. The car drives were always quiet due to Vi not being able to talk but neither of them cared, it was comfortable.
Once they got to Caitlyn’s house, Vi had helped Caitlyn with her project, all they were doing now was talking. Vi was laying on the bed belly flat while Caitlyn was sitting up next to Vi. Vi looked over at Caitlyn and tapped her on her arm. Caitlyn looked down and waited for Vi to sign something. “So..what did Maddie want?” Vi signed reluctantly. Caitlyn took a deep breath and signed “she wanted to take me out tomorrow night”. VI’s brows furrowed, that’s great now I got to compete with a Bob headed women Vi thought. “Let me guess, you said yes?” Vi irritably signed, and Caitlyn caught on. Caitlyn’s brows furrowed in confusion and started signing. “I did actually…” Caitlyn started to sign “do you not want me to?” Caitlyn signed.
Gods Vi wanted to tell her no, but she couldn’t so she just took a deep breath and signed “it’s not my choice, if you want to do it, then do it.” Vi signed as she got up from the bed. Once Vi was up, she turned around and signed “I have to go”. Caitlyn caught on, Vi was upset but she didn’t say anything. “Where are you going?” Caitlyn signed. Vi looked irritated with Caitlyn but Vi still managed to let Caitlyn know where she was going “I’m going home to see powder” “let me drive you” Caitlyn signed. And Vi dryly signed “no” Caitlyn didn’t sign after that, she just nodded and let Vi leave. Sometimes Caitlyn hated it when Vi left her, whenever Vi left it felt like a part of her would disappear.

Vi and powder had always had it rough growing up, between their parents dying in a car accident, Vi being bullied because of her lack of hearing and mostly because powder was sick. Powder was diagnosed with Coronary heart disease which is a disease that can’t be cured. It’s hard on Vi, powder is all the family she’s got.

Vi was walking down a busy road lost in her thoughts, when a car pulled up. Vi looked up and saw Caitlyn’s mother, Cassandra. Cassandra had always looked after Vi and powder whenever their parents died. Cassandra were good friends with VI’s mother. When their parents died, Cassandra had bought Vi and powder an apartment because she knew Vi valued independence than anything. She swore to take care of them.
Cassandra rolled down the window and smiled “let me take you there, Caitlyn told me you didn’t want her help but I will not tolerate you walking in the darkness alone” Cassandra signed to Vi leaving no room for arguing. Vi inhaled and breathed out and opened the car door and got in. She knew Caitlyn was stubborn, but not this stubborn, it was adorable. The car ride was quiet to the point where Vi had almost fell asleep.
When Vi exited the car, Cassandra tried to catch her attention by waving her hands in the air, luckily Vi had turned around to see. “You call me whenever you need a ride from here on out, understand? I’m serious on not letting you walk alone” Cassandra signed. Vi nodded and smiled. Cassandra waited for Vi to enter the apartment building before she left.
Vi entered her apartment and saw that powder was in the living room on the couch watching TV. When powder heard the door close shut, she turned around and greeted her sister. “Hey fat hands” powder signed and smiled. Vi smirked and rolled her eyes in a playful manner as she walked towards the couch. When she sat down, she looked at powder, powder had on some black sweats along with a grey t-shirt and her hair were put up in two buns on each side of her head.
Vi started to sign “how are you feeling, I’m sorry it took so long to get home” Vi finished and powder scooted over and hugged her sister. They both embraced each other until Vi pulled back and started to sign again. “Are you hungry or did you eat already” powder shook her head yes “I’ve eaten already, I was just watching TV before bed” powder signed. Vi shook her head in agreement and sat back and started watching TV.
Eventually, both sisters got tired and retreated to their rooms. Once Vi got to her room, she changed into some pajama pants and wore her sports bra. She got in bed and before she laid down, she took her hearing aid off and placed it on nightstand and everything went completely silent. Vi had always loved the silence, it was relaxing. She got comfortable in her bed and tried to sleep. But she couldn’t, her mind kept drifting to Caitlyn.
The way Caitlyn’s hips slightly swayed as she walked with them long beautiful legs, or how her long dark blue hair swayed at her shoulders. The little gap she has between her front teeth, gods she was getting hard from just thinking about her. Vi tugged at her crotch from up under the covers and instantly stopped. Vi trusted Caitlyn with any and everything and Caitlyn trusted Vi. For example Caitlyn is the only one to know that Vi has only had sex once and regretted it. She couldn’t do it, she had to stop thinking about Caitlyn, Caitlyn would never think of her that way. So she turned to her side and closed her eyes. It took her awhile to fall asleep but Eventually sleep took over.
