Setting sunlight streamed through a dust crusted window, creating fractured streams of orange and pink. The cruddy lighting did little to hide how small the space was when compared to the old base. It was so much emptier too.
There was a bed—well, two singles pushed together—which was an upgrade from the old cot. Also a desk that didn't take long to fill with junk. Plus the bonus computer, and wouldn't it be great for inventory, if they had any.
Keats sat hunched in his chair, furiously scrolling through vintage listings. He couldn't help muttering in disbelief under his breath, clicking around before slamming his hands on the desk, causing some bolts to roll off. "Are you freakin' kidding me?! Five thousand for a box of-"
"What? What is it?" The ruckus startled his companion, who jolted in one of the beds beside the desk. The outlet between was a mess of cords struggling to power all of their needs and it flickered the computer screen with the dual disruptions, but proved more reliable than the 'swapped' extension cord.
"Look at this! I'm going to kill him. That bastard destroyed millions of dollars worth of stuff!" Keats exclaimed, clicking on another listing before screaming in rage. "TWENTY THOUSAND FOR A G.I JOE LUNCHBOX! SON OF A BITCH! Wolfe is dead! I'm going to find that bastard and make him pay every penny we lost because of him."
Herm sighed heavily and unplugged himself from the wall. The man didn't swear often. "Well, we got his drone, why don't we sell that? Or take his bike for a ride? I'll bring the eight inch and we'll go for a spin. That should cool you down."
"I don't need cooling down, I need our collection back." Keats threw his head back, nearly falling out of his chair in his frustrated dramatics. "This blows."
Herm caught the tipping edge and easily spun it around, forcing the human to face him. "You are too tense, my man." He shook his head and frowned in disapproval.
"Of course I'm tense! And don't act like you're not bent out of shape over this. You like money too." The man kept going, gesturing emphatically.
"Yeah, but I like you not giving yourself a heart attack more. I can't have you keeling over on me cause of some lost junk." He lifted the man out of the chair and onto the bed beside him, earning protests but there wasn't much fight. "You're wound tighter than my pressure coils." Placing his servos on the human's shoulders, he dragged his digit tips down them and felt the tension in each muscle. He rubbed gentle but firm circles, mapping the structure beneath his hands until he felt the tightness relax. "If taking the bike out won't help, how 'bout you ride me instead?"
"Stop it." Keats muttered, shooting his companion a glare and creating a pause in the soothing action.
"Stop what?"
"Sayin' stuff like that. It feels too...intimate." He continued, rolling his shoulder with discomfort before leaning back into the large servos in a silent plead for them to keep going. "The massage is nice though."
"Oh, so you can confess your love to me on a battlefield but feeling you up breaks the bro code?" Herm deadpanned, deciding to poke the human instead.
Keats snorted in response, half amused and half embarrassed as any argument escaped him. His heart squirmed at the reminder, desperate to reach out, but too chicken shit to make a real move. Instead, he tried getting off the bed to escape the situation, but his wrist was caught and he was pulled down again.
"And where are you going? I thought you wanted a massage." Herm said, running his fingers up the man's arm and they both watched goosebumps rise beneath the touch. Still, it only earned a physical response and Keats didn't take the bait or whine like he usually did.
Quiet didn't suit him either.
"You're stressing over nothing, baby." Herm sighed, nudging his helmet against the human's back and wrapping his hands around his partner's waist.
Keats shivered as the cool, metallic fingers caught beneath his shirt and unintentionally brushed over his skin. The pet name made him swallow thickly, warmth building in his core under the attention despite how casually the robot often used the term. It just felt different now. More intentional. "What are you doing to me, Herm?"
"You tell me." Herm murmured, his thumbs lightly running up and down the man's sides, earning a shuddered gasp. "Want me to stop?"
"No." Keats denied before he even processed his response. Another flush of embarrassment shot through him, but it didn't linger as the caresses made his nerves sing. "It's just, you know where this is going, right?" He gathered enough of his brain to place his hands over his companion's, halting the motion again. "You're doing this and you...you never said it back."
"Be real, man." The bot released a mechanical whoosh of air and used the position to twist him onto his back so they could face each other. "You only said it cause you thought I was dying. We don't say it, we show it, yeah?"
"You mean..." He hesitated, his mind continued to stall despite picking up every hint his partner was putting down. They knew each other long enough, but unsurprisingly he couldn't help being difficult. "What are you trying to do? You can't even get off like this."
Herm rolled his digital eyes like it was the stupidest problem to have and climbed over the taller frame with a smirk, making the bed sink around the man. "Yeah, but I can get you off. So relax and let me show you how I love you."
Keats' breath hitched and he stared at his own flustered reaction in the looming screen before focusing on his companion's displayed hooded eyes and nodding his head. "Yeah, okay. Okay."
"Yeah?" Herm echoed, excitement tingeing his voice. He placed a hand on the man's chest, trailing his digits down before resting over the zipper he couldn't help flicking playfully. “You ready for me, baby?”
“Well, there’s not a whole lot to work with. Let’s see you get my pants off with those clunky fingers.” Keats said, but the subtle quickening of his breath and the growing redness of his skin betrayed how worked up he was getting.
“Oh, pants are staying on for this.”
The mischievous expression displayed on his partner's screen made his heart skip a beat, a jump of excitement and nervousness meshed together as the machine moved to straddle him. “Herm- Herm, you’re going to crush me!” He exclaimed, shrinking into the mattress as three hundred pounds of metal hovered over his most intimate area.
“Quit being a baby, I’m not gonna crush you.” Herm scoffed at the distrust and lowered slowly with a mechanical whirr, stopping at the perfect height to create pressure without breaking the man's dick.
Keats settled, the weight lighter than a person sitting in his lap, but definitely present enough to feel. Any missing pieces in the intention puzzle instantly clicked into place as his mind raced with dirty thoughts and ideas that he was fairly sure would be coming true. An experimental brush of their pelvises made his breath hitch and an adjustment was made, lowering further to establish more contact.
The robot rocked into him with a firm, steady grind, making his legs jump as a jolt of pleasure shot through him. “Herm!” He yelped, clutching the blankets and bucking into another tentative thrust.
“See? Trust me, I got this.” Herm reassured, rubbing slower as the slide of alloy across denim and a choked off gasp filled the room. “Now, spread your legs. Let me take care of you."
"Fu-..." Keats gasped, rolling his hips as he spread his legs wider. The next stroke made his toes curl, his insides coiling tighter under the growing friction. "Why does this feel so good?"
"Ain't you glad I got nothin' going on down here?" His partner returned to teasing and held his hips down to grind against him again, making him choke on a moan. "You know I'd be bigger than you and I wouldn't want you getting jealous."
"What is with your size complex, man?!" Indignation pitched his tone and he slapped his palm onto the robot's chest.
Herm grinned and slid one of his servos beneath the man's shirt, earning a low groan as he kept moving. "C'mon, as if you wouldn't want to try this with one of the bigger bods."
"I would literally die!"
"No, you wouldn't! Imagine what those hands could do with you." He continued, slowing the pace enough to frustrate as he mapped every expanse of skin he could reach beneath his companion's clothes. "You'd like it. Admit it!"
"Would not!"
"Would too!"
Keats threw his hands up and heaved a sigh. "Fine! From a purely fantasy perspective, okay, it could be fun to experiment."
"So you're fantasizing about me now." The smug look he earned was strangle-worthy if the robot had a throat he could actually wring. Somehow the frustration only made him hornier.
"Fuck you, Herm. Just shut up and keep going." He glared haughtily and began moving his hips himself.
Herm removed one of his servos from the man's shirt and held his partner's waist. "Oh, ho. Can't take the ribbing, big guy?" Even with the teasing and edging, he couldn't help brushing his digits along any sensitive areas he found, watching the larger frame shiver and twitch beneath him.
"All day, every day, Herm. But seeing as I'm the only one who gets a finish, I'd like to get there sometime this year." Keats muttered, covering his face and trying to hide how worked up his companion was getting him.
"Always greedy, baby, always greedy." Herm chuckled at the reaction and pressed himself flush between the human's spread legs, mindful of his weight and strength. "Hold on for the ride."
Keats listened for once and automatically grabbed the robot's shoulders, the returned friction quickly adding to the pleasure tightening his gut. His body was slick and sweaty, but he didn't care when every touch felt good, the previously cold metal warmed with his own body heat. He didn't care how he sounded as he focused purely on the sensations, the subtle smell of oil and machinery, the feeling of each thrust becoming more accurate—or maybe his horniness made it better each time, and the large digits pressing into his skin eliciting tingles of hypersensitivity.
"Herm, don't stop." He murmured between heavy exhales, his fingers scrapping against metal as he clutched onto his partner.
"I've got you, Keats. I always do." Herm winked and smirked, but fondness reached his eyes as he looked down at the man coming undone beneath him.
Keats dug his heels into the mattress, pressing himself further into his partner and source of pleasure. His closest companion, his best friend, the robot he loved.
He came hard. His orgasm rocking through him as intensely as his partner, leaving him twitching and gasping until it finally settled down.
"Okay, okay, you did it." He patted one of Herm's shoulders, encouraging him to stop.
"Hell yeah I did. That looked intense, did you reboot or somethin'?" Herm joked, getting off of the man who continued to twitch and gasp. "You looked like one of the singing basses, wiggling and flopping around."
"Oh, shut up." The human caught enough wind to shoot him another glare, but he only rolled over to lay beside his companion in response.
"I miss our stuff too." He admitted, staring at the cracked ceiling before shifting his gaze the man.
"Yeah, well, I'm gross, I need a shower, and I'm tired. So consider that a successful distraction." Keats murmured, running a shaky hand through his sweaty hair before interlacing it with the servo resting beside him. "Maybe we can dig through the rubble, see if anything's salvageable."
"Start collecting again." Herm agreed, starting to feel as tired as the man looked.
"That too." Keats nodded, beginning to mumble. "Let's figure everything out later...tomorrow."
"Sounds good to me." Herm acknowledged before sitting up when a low battery notification popped up in his HUD. Apparently rocking his partner's world took more energy than he realized and he tapped the man's leg. "Now move over, I need to plug in and you're on the outlet side."
