Nam-gyu yelped at the sudden influx of texts and dropped his phone to the ground, all in a frantic effort to keep the barista standing in front of him from seeing his screen.
It was a futile effort. He was right in the middle of using Apple Pay, so she was already looking at his screen when Su-bong, the ill-timed asshole, started barraging his phone with messages far too inappropriate for 7:42 in the morning. Nam-gyu flushed bright red as he scrambled down to pick up his (thankfully) uncracked phone. He could only hope to god that she didn’t know Korean.
“The payment didn’t go through. Can you try again?” she asked. In perfect, fluent Korean. Fuck.
As easy as it would be to blame Su-bong for all this, it was Nam-gyu’s fault for choosing one of the (surprisingly many) Korean cafés in Los Angeles for their morning coffee run. He’d insisted that the breakfast sandwiches and pastries from the American cafés tasted funny, and he was getting kind of homesick despite only being in the United States for less than two days.
He was not feeling homesick anymore after hearing the teasing lilt in the barista’s voice. He’d give anything to be struggling his way through English in the Starbucks across the street from their hotel.
Nam-gyu begrudgingly held his phone back up for her to scan.
“This scam caller sure seems interested in you,” the barista said, face neutral as she tapped away on the iPad in front of her. “Your order will be ready shortly.”
With that, she turned and got to making their iced caramel macchiatos and gilgeori toasts. Nam-gyu’s face burned as he took a seat in the furthest corner of the café possible, hiding his shame in the shadows (not that there were any—this damn café was all pastel walls and bright lights). He would’ve been perfectly happy with a greasy ham croissant from that dumb Starbucks right about now. Even if the baristas there couldn’t understand what he was saying, at least they wouldn’t be intimately familiar with his husband’s sexual deviancy.
He took out his phone to find that even more texts had accumulated in just the few short minutes it took for him to finish paying and sit down.

Even tucked away in the corner, Nam-gyu felt so mortified. How many of these texts had the barista seen? At this rate, Nam-gyu was going to get arrested for public indecency in a foreign country. What a way to spend his honeymoon.
Nam-gyu

Nam-gyu
its not even 8 in the morning how are you already like this
Nam-gyu yelped and shut his phone off when a lady and her daughter sat down at the table next to him. He prayed to whatever gods were willing to listen that they didn’t get a glance at his phone screen. They didn’t look Korean, but he was not willing to take any chances here.
So, he shoved his phone deep in his pocket and willed the redness in his face to dissipate as he waited the agonizing five minutes it took for the barista to call out his order. He got up, kept his eyes glued to the ground, and accepted the paper bag and drink tray with a high-pitched thanks.
“Be careful with that scam caller,” the barista called out as Nam-gyu started to run for the door. “Looks like they’re getting increasingly more creative with their tactics these days.”
The groan Nam-gyu let out rang through the entire bakery before he had a chance to shut the door behind him. He was never coming back here again. Maybe he’d never go to any café ever again, just for good measure.
Nam-gyu was regretting every choice he’d ever made as he scrambled down the city streets, trying hard not to make eye contact with any passers-by lest they look into his brain and see his shame. Why the fuck did he have to marry Su-bong of all people?
He was, regrettably, reminded when he made his way back to their hotel suite and was greeted by an adorably messy-haired Su-bong, clad only in his boxers, immediately crowding in on him to pepper kisses to his cheek. It was far too cute a maneuver given the ridiculous things he’d been texting just a few minutes earlier.
“Thank you for getting breakfast, husband,” Su-bong said sweetly, taking the drink tray and the bag from Nam-gyu’s hands and placing them on the desk before wrapping his arms around his waist. “You’re so good to me.”
Despite his earlier mortification, Nam-gyu melted in his arms and leaned his head up for a kiss. The word still made his heart hammer in his chest, even though Su-bong had been referring to him as his husband for months before the wedding. But now it was official . They’d been married for a whole week now. Nam-gyu couldn’t help but smile and deepen the kiss.
It didn’t last too long, much to Nam-gyu’s disappointment. Su-bong broke it off first to rummage around in the bag and pull out his sandwich.
“This smells so good,” he grunted out before shoving half the thing in his mouth.
It shouldn’t have been cute. There was cheese and ketchup on the sides of his mouth and he was chewing with his mouth open. Nam-gyu’s heart melted anyway.
“Didn’t you say you didn’t want breakfast anymore?” Nam-gyu asked, pulling his own sandwich from the bag and taking a much less messy bite. He plopped down on the desk, eyeing Su-bong as he devoured his sandwich like someone was going to take it away from him. He was still standing, not even taking the time to sit down and eat like a civilized human being. “I thought all you wanted was my dong.”
Su-bong hummed, his cheeks puffed out from being full of bread and cheese. He looked an awful lot like the café's mascot, a chubby-cheeked hamster in a mint green apron. Achingly adorable. Nam-gyu was going to combust. “I was only saying that so you’d come back faster. I’m starving and you were taking forever.”
Nam-gyu scoffed. “I nearly got arrested just so you could get your damn sandwich quicker?”
“Don’t get your panties in a knot,” Su-bong said as he rolled his eyes and took another bite, finishing off the whole sandwich in three enormous bites. “I still want you to fuck me.”
“So romantic,” Nam-gyu grumbled.
Despite it all, the past week had really been straight out of a sappy romance novel. Su-bong had spent months hyper-fixating on wedding planning, and all his work paid off so well. Cliche as it sounds, it was a beautiful ceremony and Nam-gyu had been in tears from the second he stood in front of the altar and watched as Su-bong’s mom handed Su-bong off to him. It didn’t help that Su-bong had been blubbering like a giant six-foot baby since the night before.
The tears didn’t stop once the reception ended and all the guests said their goodbyes. Su-bong had insisted on carrying Nam-gyu bridal style up all five flights to the apartment, still weeping and babbling about how happy he was. Despite the tears and the talking and carrying Nam-gyu up a billion stairs, he wasn’t even winded. Maybe Nam-gyu would have been miffed if it didn’t mean Su-bong immediately threw him down on their bed and started tearing off his tuxedo. And if Nam-gyu himself wasn’t too busy crying and warbling on about how in love he was.
He never would’ve thought he’d be into crying during sex. He had since learned differently.
The tears came and went in the days leading up to their honeymoon. If they weren’t tangled up in each other’s arms and blubbering about how much they loved each other, they were smiling like a couple of doofuses as they unwrapped wedding gifts or checked and re-checked their flight tickets, hotel suite reservations, tour plans, and Comic Con itineraries.
All thanks to Su-bong’s masterful planning—their honeymoon aligned right with Nam-gyu’s first ever convention as a special guest panelist.
The Meow-velous Adventures of Hwaseong was, much to Nam-gyu surprise and elation, a success. Enough people liked it that LA Comic Con reached out and asked Nam-gyu to be on a panel with other up-and-coming comic book artists.
Nam-gyu was an up-and-coming comic book artist. A married up-and-coming comic book artist. With a gorgeous husband who wasn’t doing too badly himself in the music industry.
Insane how life turned out. Just a year ago, he and Su-bong were barely making rent on a crappy apartment with windows that couldn’t be opened. Two years ago, they were ghosting around each other, playing some kind of subconscious game of gay chicken as they pretended it was totally normal for two bros to cuddle each other every day.
To think that the catalyst of all this was Nam-gyu offering to have sex with Su-bong to make him feel better about being a virgin. Nam-gyu was simultaneously horrified and very impressed with his twenty-two year old self.
All that to say, it wasn’t even a discussion that they would honeymoon in the United States. Su-bong took care of getting their travel visas and booking a hotel for a week. They had plans to visit the beach and tour Los Angeles on the days they weren’t at the convention. They had dinner reservations at the swankiest restaurants in the city, all thanks to their recent increases in salary.
It was all bone-crushingly, heart-wrenchingly, vomit-inducingly romantic.
And now Su-bong had finished up his sandwich, slurped down half of his macchiato, and was laying on the plush white hotel bed with his arms wide open and a beaming smile on his face, beckoning Nam-gyu to join him. It was so romantic Nam-gyu would’ve thought he’d entered some kind of coma two years ago after he fell out of bed and landed dick-first on the hard ground. That would’ve been more realistic than this.
“I love you so much,” he said, standing in the middle of the hotel room and staring at Su-bong in a lovesick daze.
“Love you too, but get over here and plow me now ,” Su-bong whined. “I want to get to the Sanrio store before the crowds.”
Okay, maybe this was more realistic than originally thought. Su-bong was still Su-bong at the end of the day.
Nam-gyu smirked and placed a knee on the bed. “We can just go straight to Japanese Village Plaza if you’re in such a rush.”
Su-bong groaned and threw his head back. “ No , you need to fuck me first. I’m not leaving this suite until you do.”
The erection tenting his boxers had Nam-gyu’s mouth watering. He would’ve loved to tease him some more, but he was laser-focused on getting those boxers off and taking a peek at what was hidden underneath. He’d seen Su-bong naked many, many times, but even two years into their relationship and over a decade into their far-too clingy friendship, the giddiness he felt at knowing Su-bong was his to touch never dissipated in the slightest. It was all the more exhilarating now that Su-bong wasn’t just his best friend or his boyfriend or his fiancé. This was his husband, laying out half-naked and squirming around impatiently just for him.
Nam-gyu pinched himself just to make sure that coma theory wasn’t totally bunk.
Su-bong hooked a foot around Nam-gyu’s thigh, yanking him forward until he fell face-first on his chest. Ow . Maybe the pinch wasn’t entirely necessary. The ache on his cheekbone from landing on Su-bong’s stupidly firm pectoral did the trick.
“Such a whiny baby,” Nam-gyu grumbled, but obediently kissed his way up Su-bong’s collarbones and throat until he made it to his macchiato-flavored lips.
“Guess daddy has to punish me,” Su-bong said, opening his mouth wide and licking into Nam-gyu with his caramel tongue.
Nam-gyu groaned and sunk his teeth into Su-bong lower lip in retaliation. “You’re so gross.”
“Such a sweet talker,” Su-bong giggled. “You really know how to make a man feel wanted.”
Nam-gyu rolled his eyes, but couldn’t help his smile. It was nice that they still had this. It had never been a question that their friendship wouldn’t change after they got together. Sure, a lot of things did change, a point that was punctuated when Su-bong hooked his legs over Nam-gyu’s hips and pulled him close, pushing their erections together and eliciting moans from both of them, but the way that they spoke to one another, the way that they so seamlessly joked around never faltered.
In hindsight, Nam-gyu could see the value of all those shōjo mangas Su-bong had pretended he didn’t love to read in high school. It really was nice to fall in love with his best friend, as cheesy and dorky as it all sounded in his head.
Or maybe he was still feeling those lingering effects of sentimentality from the wedding. It’d only been a week, after all.
“Dude, why the hell are you still wearing pants?” Su-bong groaned, pawing at Nam-gyu’s zipper with eager fingers.
Nam-gyu should not have felt that ooey, gooey curl of warmth in his chest after being called “dude,” but he did. Definitely those lingering effects of post-wedding sentimentality.
For that reason, he resisted the urge to just tear off his clothes and descend on Su-bong like a hyena preying on a disturbingly nonresistant rabbit. He kept his lips on Su-bong’s, licking much more slowly and deliberately into his mouth, as he shucked off his cardigan.
Another wave of gooey sentimentality—Su-bong’s mom made him that cardigan for his nineteenth birthday. Even before they were legally family, she always treated him like a son. He’d always been destined to be with Su-bong. Those corny friends-to-lovers shōjo plots buzzed through his brain and left him sighing like the hopeless romantic that Su-bong had more or less manhandled him into becoming. Not that he minded in the slightest.
He made sure to place the cardigan neatly on the armchair next to the bed before pulling off his shirt and unbuttoning his pants.
Su-bong was clearly too worked up to get lost in that same sentimentality. He tutted impatiently and clawed at Nam-gyu’s boxers.
“Geez, what are you so impatient for?” Nam-gyu asked with a laugh, though it was strained as he felt Su-bong wrap his fingers around his cock and start pumping.
Su-bong grunted, hand still at work as he clumsily removed his own boxers. Nam-gyu’s eyes caught on the sight of his dick, thick and swollen red as it bobbed up against his taut stomach. “When am I ever not impatient?”
Nam-gyu’s breath hitched when Su-bong’s thumb brushed over his tip, the rough pad getting caught in the slit. “You’re extra impatient this morning. Could it perhaps have less to do with how irresistible I am and more with how eager you are to buy more Hello Kitty shit?”
A dark look passed over Su-bong’s eyes. He leaned over Nam-gyu, pushing him down against the foot of the bed and pressing hot, fast caramel kisses against his jawline. “Perhaps not .”
The hand on his dick moved down, sliding over his thighs and gripping Nam-gyu’s ass in tight, greedy fingers. It was taking all of Nam-gyu’s effort not to come undone right then and there, but he still had some teasing left in him. Probably some lingering need for payback, given just how mortifying it was to have the barista see those ridiculous text messages.
“I don’t know ,” he said with a sing-songy lilt. “I think I saw something online about half-off sales on Pochacco merchandise. I’m sensing some ulterior motives.”
Su-bong growled against his throat, and dug his fingers deliciously into the plush flesh of Nam-gyu’s ass. “Stop being a brat.”
Nam-gyu threw his head back against the blanket and moaned. His resolve was very steadily crumbling. Those texts were really embarrassing though. He had to get in just one more tease. “Make me.”
He nearly squealed with delight, a deeply unsexy sound, when Su-bong sunk his teeth into his neck and grinded his hips down, pushing his dick high up between Nam-gyu’s legs.
“I thought you wanted me to fuck you?” Nam-gyu asked, unable to hide that last, residual teasing lilt to his voice.
Su-bong groaned and thrust his hips down again. “Ugh, fuck. I do. This first, though.”
“Is this you saying you’re willing to put off your precious Sanrios for two whole rounds?”
The searing kiss, paired with the feeling of Su-bong’s cock pressing against his rim, was enough to finally get Nam-gyu to shut up. He smiled brightly, all teasing gone and leaving nothing but earnest anticipation, as Su-bong clambered off him just long enough to reach for the nightstand and pull a bottle of lube from the little travel bag they set up there for this very purpose.
“Open me up, baby,” Nam-gyu urged, lips still raised in a dazed smile. He reached up to snake his arms around Su-bong’s neck and pulled him back in for a kiss.
By the time they got to the Sanrio store, there were already crowds of people hovering around the half-off Pochacco merchandise. Nam-gyu spared a glance at Su-bong’s face to see if there were any traces of annoyance, but all he could see was open, unfiltered contentment.
“Someone’s happy,” Nam-gyu said, returning his smile and looking pointedly at all the plushes, clothes, and figurines that he knew Su-bong was just itching to get his hands on.
Su-bong squeezed his hand and leaned in for a kiss. “Always, when I’m with you.”
Even after two years and a whole marriage license, the words made Nam-gyu’s heart flutter.

Su-bong was a very smart person—Nam-gyu had always known that about him. Even if their teachers in school were convinced that Su-bong was some kind of rowdy delinquent, he always did well in his classes. He’d been one of the top students in university.
Nam-gyu was never really jealous of that. It’s not like he did that poorly himself, and he had, on more than one occasion, reaped the benefits of having a smart best friend who was more than happy to help him out in not the most academically honorable ways. But in this moment, he really wished he’d either chosen to pay attention in English class, or at least Su-bong paid less attention, because this was frankly embarrassing and he didn’t like having to face that mortification all on his own.
The waiter was staring at him like he’d grown a second head. “Sorry, can you repeat that?” he asked.
…Which Nam-gyu only knew because Su-bong had repeated it back to him, smirking like the self-satisfied asshole he was.
Nam-gyu shot Su-bong a glare. “It’s not my fault! He’s talking too fast!”
The waiter was still staring at him, and the wide, slightly panicked expression on his face only grew more intense when Nam-gyu switched back to Korean. “I didn’t catch that,” he said, finally slow enough for Nam-gyu to understand.
Nam-gyu attempted a placating smile, but it was clear that neither of them were anywhere close to enjoying this interaction. “I said I’ll have the chili-sichuan basted bass,” he said in English, very slowly for both of their sakes.
Nope. Nothing. The waiter was just blinking at him, face growing redder by the second.
Su-bong had gone from smirking to full-on laughing.
“Why aren’t you helping me?” Nam-gyu shot out. “If you’re so smart, can’t you order for me? Isn’t that what a good husband would do?”
Su-bong grinned through his giggles. “You’re doing so well though! Keep trying.”
Nam-gyu had half a mind to reach across the table and strangle him, but he knew the sick bastard would be into it. So he sighed, gave up on any dignity he had left, and held up the menu towards the waiter, pointing at the dish he wanted.
The waiter let out a relieved sigh, said something way too fast, which Su-bong responded to, again, way too fast, and then he trotted off.
Nam-gyu sank down lower in his seat and took a big gulp from his wine glass. “You’re the worst, did you know that?”
Su-bong leaned forward on his elbows and puckered his lips. “Aw, don’t be grumpy. You’re so cute when you’re floundering. Besides, don’t you need the practice?”
He unfortunately had a point. Nam-gyu had a speech prepared, the words written out phonetically so the audience would hopefully be able to at least get the general idea of what he was saying, and there was a translator that would be sitting next to him, but he really wanted to be able to have an actual interaction with his international fans.
That got Nam-gyu to drop his scowl. He had fans . Enough of them that there were ones from overseas. And he’d see them the day after tomorrow. So far, all his fan interactions had been online. And as crazy as that was on its own, he couldn’t fathom what it would be like to sit in a room full of people who actually read his comic and enjoyed it enough to listen to him struggle his way through a foreign language at a comic book convention.
“Yeah,” Nam-gyu relented with a smile. “I guess it doesn’t hurt.”
Su-bong cooed and interlaced their fingers on the table top. “See? And you sounded fine anyway. That waiter just sucks at hearing.”
Nam-gyu looked over his shoulder where the red-faced waiter was tending to another table. He was leaning over an older lady, asking her to repeat something. It made Nam-gyu feel a little bit better.
He still turned back to Su-bong with a glare, though there was a little less heart in it this time. “Then why didn’t he have any problems with you?”
Su-bong sat back and sighed, far too pleased with himself. “Because my English is perfect.”
“Because you’re loud,” Nam-gyu amended.
Su-bong beamed. “That, too.”

Nam-gyu and Su-bong had plans to visit the convention, but they decided to only really spend Saturday at the convention center for the full day. That was the day of Nam-gyu’s panel, and while they were both eager to see the exhibits and go to a few events, there were also plenty of things they wanted to do in Los Angeles for the week they’d be there.
The beach was the main thing. The ocean looked so different in this part of the world—a different kind of blue.
And Venice Beach was like its own little amusement park. Nam-gyu was taken aback by all the rides and rows upon rows of storefronts and vendors on the boardwalk, all the thousands of people milling about in flip flops and bathing suits. It was like every person in California had been transported to one single beach. It was clear that Su-bong was feeling equally as caught off-guard. His hand was like a vice on Nam-gyu’s.
Su-bong rarely panicked these days. He’d been working with a therapist for over a year now, uncovering different coping mechanisms and methods of self-regulation. Nam-gyu was pleased that one of his favorite methods was still laying on the floor of their apartment, quietly sketching out designs together.
They didn’t have sketchbooks right now, though.
Nam-gyu lifted Su-bong’s hand up and pressed a kiss to his palm. “How can I help?” he asked.
He was wordlessly counting, staring out at the crowds jostling around them. He wasn’t quite shaking yet, though, and that brought Nam-gyu some relief as he gently pulled him away from the crowds, weaved their way down the stairs of the boardwalk, and towards a more secluded part of the beach.
“Here,” Nam-gyu said softly after dropping their bag and laying out a towel. “Wanna sit with me?”
“Yeah,” Su-bong replied after a few moments, blinking back the redness that had started to taint his eyes. “Sorry.”
He still did that sometimes—apologize for needing help, or a moment to breathe. It crushed Nam-gyu that there was a period of time there, in the early days of their relationship, when Su-bong thought that was something he needed to hide. While he still worried about burdening Nam-gyu sometimes, at least he felt safe enough to ask for help or a moment to himself.
Instead of brushing off the apology like he tended to want to do, Nam-gyu just sat down and held his arms out, beckoning Su-bong to sidle up next to him. Su-bong did so eagerly, wrapping an arm around Nam-gyu’s waist and pressing a kiss to his temple. Nam-gyu took his free hand in his own, laying his fingers out flat. An invitation. Su-bong took it without hesitation and ran his thumb over each finger. Four first, a pause. Then seven. Eight.
The sound of the waves crashing was repetitive and soothing, loud enough to drown out the sounds of the people back on the boardwalk. They sat quietly, looking out at the glistening blue ocean. Before long, the hand on Nam-gyu’s waist grew pliant, and Su-bong went from counting his fingers to pressing kisses to them as he idly fiddled with Nam-gyu’s wedding ring.
“Thanks,” Su-bong said quietly. He breathed in one last deep, steady breath. “Wanna swim?”
Nam-gyu leaned down to kiss his shoulder. “Last one in has to buy the other ice cream.”
The challenge had the desired effect. Su-bong grinned and pushed Nam-gyu, making him lose his balance and fall back on his elbows. Nam-gyu huffed out an indignant laugh as he watched Su-bong scramble to pull off his shirt and sandals. “Cheater!”
Said cheater stuck his tongue out like some kind of petulant toddler, and made a dash for the ocean.
“Like you need the advantage, you long-legged demon!” Nam-gyu called out. He pulled off his own shirt, but took his time. He was planning to buy Su-bong ice cream anyway.
He took his time getting in the water too, far too pleased to get the chance to admire the way the sun shone on Su-bong’s tanned shoulders. He rarely went without a shirt on if they weren’t home alone, so it was nice to see his stupidly toned arms in the sunlight, glistening with water droplets as he pummeled oh-so elegantly into the waves.
It was a nice sight. Nam-gyu would have to try to sneak a picture later for his personal collection. For now, though, he wanted to feel those arms wrapped around him. He stepped into the water, flinching as the cold waves ran over his ankles, and followed behind Su-bong.
“Hey,” he said once he’d caught up, waist deep in the ocean, and promptly splashed water into Su-bong’s face.
Su-bong sputtered and wiped the salty water from his face. “You owe me ice cream, you dick.”
Nam-gyu smirked and offered him another splash. “You cheated. I don’t owe you anything.”
“Aw, please?” Su-bong whined, trudging through the waist-high waves to pull Nam-gyu into his arms. “I’ll pay you back later.”
Nam-gyu wrapped his own arms around Su-bong’s shoulders, relishing in the warmth they emitted after being exposed to the hot sun. He scratched at the hairs at the nape of Su-bong’s neck and asked, “Hmm? How are you going to do that?”
The kiss he got in return, salty from the ocean water, was a good enough answer to placate him. He pulled Su-bong in closer, pressing their bodies flush together.
“Dude, don’t make me pop a boner,” Su-bong groaned into his mouth. “There are families here.”
Nam-gyu looked around. And yes, true, there were families, but not anywhere close to them. And certainly not paying attention to them. And if a group suddenly did make their way over to this part of the beach, well, they could just go deeper into the water, Nam-gyu rationalized. He was far too focused on ogling Su-bong’s muscled stomach to consider the potential embarrassment of being seen making out. Who would blame him? He had a gorgeous, shirtless man in his arms.
“No one’s looking,” he said, and lowered a hand to grip Su-bong’s hip to tug it forward.
“Since when are you into doing it in public, you deviant? You should’ve disclosed that before I agreed to let you take away my innocence.”
Nam-gyu shot back, a blush coating his already sun-reddened cheeks. “Eew, gross! I’m just kissing you, asshole.”
Whatever response Su-bong had been gearing up to shoot back melted away as he pinched Nam-gyu’s pink cheeks and cooed. “Aw, your little freckles!”
Nam-gyu rolled his eyes, but let Su-bong continue to pull on his cheeks like a grandma, squishing them between his hands until Nam-gyu’s lips puffed out like one of the fish swimming around their calves. “Yeah, yeah, you’re all horny for my freckles. Want me to get you that ice cream now?”
“I’m not horny for your freckles, I-” Su-bong cut himself up, shaking his head and tutting. “Mind in the gutter, always. You owe me two scoops for being so nasty.”
Nam-gyu laughed and leaned in to kiss the tip of his nose. “Says the guy who was texting me yesterday at seven in the morning begging for my dong.”
“Begging is a strong word,” Su-bong grumbled.
“Do I need to pull up the texts and remind you? You were using quite an expressive array of emojis.”
Su-bong flicked his forehead. “Get me ice cream.”
And really, how could Nam-gyu say no? He’d been planning to do it anyway, after all.
【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】
Despite being popular enough to get invited out to Comic Con, Nam-gyu didn’t get recognized in public. Being an artist wasn’t exactly a face-forward job, and as well as Hwaseong was doing, it still had kind of a niche market, especially overseas. Even though he got a good amount of fan interaction online, it was very unlikely to happen here in Los Angeles anywhere outside of the room his panel would be hosted in at the convention center.
Su-bong, however, was a different story. He was recognizable with his purple hair and tattoos, and he spent a lot more time showing his face to the public. And now that he had nearly a million monthly listeners and a few viral music videos under his belt, he spent a decent amount of his time getting stopped in the streets and asked for pictures.
Still, Nam-gyu didn’t think that was likely to happen in the United States. As much as Su-bong liked to sprinkle English into his raps, he really only performed in Seoul and a few neighboring cities. He’d gushed about getting messages from fans in other parts of the world, but most of his audience was national.
So, it was a surprise to both of them when a group of teenagers approached them as they sat in the ice cream parlor and shared a sundae. Two scoops, as promised.
“Excuse me, are you Thanos?” one of them asked after a few long, weird minutes of wordless staring. At first, Nam-gyu thought they were going to rob them or something with the way the group just stood in the corner and stared, occasionally exchanging hushed whispers amongst themselves.
Su-bong’s back straightened as a big, goofy grin took over his face. “Yeah! What’s up, man?”
Nam-gyu sat back and watched the interaction unfold. Su-bong stood up, allowed the group to give him hugs and ask an endless stream of questions that Nam-gyu couldn’t understand. But Su-bong was grinning so brightly, it must have all been highly complimentary.
This was a pattern Su-bong was getting used to; being stopped by fans like this. It had been awkward the first time it happened, and Su-bong had been so overwhelmed that once the fan left, he and Nam-gyu went straight home, the dinner they intended to get forgotten. But then it happened again, and again, and the interactions fell into an easy pattern. There weren’t any confusing social cues that Su-bong could get caught up in—the fans were just so pleased to speak to him, all far more anxious than he could ever be. They just wanted a picture, an autograph, or a hug, and to tell Su-bong how much they liked his music. That gave Su-bong a chance to share his passion over and over again with a rapt audience. Not that Nam-gyu and their friends weren’t happy to hear him talk at length about his music, but it was good that he could interact with people who were so awestruck, they drank in every word like it was gospel. And now, at this point, Su-bong delighted in meeting his fans whenever they came up to him.
Su-bong bent down to take selfies with each member of the group, and Nam-gyu couldn’t help his own smile. Su-bong always looked so happy when people recognized him for his music. It filled him with pride that so many people liked the things he put out into the world. Nam-gyu could understand. He got the same feeling when he received a message online from a fan.
And Su-bong so deeply deserved it. He’d worked hard to learn audio engineering, worked hard on his lyrics, even managed to figure out a choreographed dance move or two for his shows and videos, and had done so much work to make a name for himself. And, selfishly, it made Nam-gyu very satisfied to know that so many people liked to listen to songs that were written about him. Su-bong made it no secret in his music that he was head over heels for some goof he met in middle school. Practically their whole life story had been recorded in audio format for the world to listen to.
Which was probably why one of the teenage girls was squealing and pointing at Nam-gyu, saying something that Nam-gyu only caught bits and pieces of—”boyfriend” being one of the words he’d managed to pick up. And he definitely got the picture when he heard Su-bong grin and say something-something “husband,” leaving the group jumping up and down with excitement.
Su-bong nodded to something one of the teenagers said, and turned to Nam-gyu. “Wanna be in the picture?” he asked.
Nam-gyu smiled. “Sure,” he said in English to the group, nodding his head at the same time just in case that one word somehow got lost in translation. Given his luck with the waiter, it was an unfortunate possibility. He sidled up next to Su-bong, wrapped one arm around his shoulder, and smiled for the camera.
The girl who had done the pointing and squealing was now saying something to him. Nam-gyu narrowed his eyes and tried to conjure up the English lessons he’d half-paid attention to in high school, but it was no match for the slang she was using and the speed of her words. Seriously, why did they have to teach such a formal version of the language in school? Maybe if Nam-gyu was interacting with a time traveller from the 1950s, he’d get by just fine, but in the three days he’d been in Los Angeles, he was coming to learn that there was a massive difference between the stuff he learned in his English grammar books and the way Americans actually talked.
The girl blushed and said, in slightly unsteady Korean, “You wrote The Meow-velous Adventures of Hwaseong .”
Nam-gyu’s eyebrows shot up. “I did! Did you read it?”
She smiled, blushing harder, and nodded enthusiastically. “I’m a fan! I’m going to your panel.”
Nam-gyu, for the second time that day, was taken aback. “Wow! Thank you! I’ll see you again tomorrow then.”
She nodded, grinning so hard her cheeks must have hurt. “Can I have a picture with you?”
In a daze, Nam-gyu leaned in close to her and smiled at her phone. She took a few pictures, bowed a little awkwardly, and retreated back to her friends with a wave.
Su-bong laughed and pulled Nam-gyu back down to his seat, finally able to return to their half-melted sundae. “You didn’t expect to run into fans?” he asked.
Nam-gyu shook his head. “It’s kind of surreal.”
Su-bong scooped up some of the ice cream and held it out for Nam-gyu. “Get used to it. You’re gonna get a lot more of that tomorrow.”
Nam-gyu beamed and took the bite Su-bong was offering him.

If the boardwalk felt every citizen of California was plucked up and dropped off in one spot, Comic Con felt like every citizen of North America was congregating in a single location. Despite the massive venue, it felt cramped, with people milling around in huge groups, elaborate cosplay making the space feel even tinier. The buzzing energy only served to add to that suffocating feeling. With so many people talking loudly and bursting with excitement for the first day of the convention, even Nam-gyu could feel a spark of anxiety coursing through him from time to time. They made their way to the game hall with their hands clasped tightly together, masks pulled up over their noses and baseball caps snug over their hair. Nam-gyu didn’t think he necessarily needed a disguise, but it helped Su-bong feel more secure if they were both relatively anonymous. Plus, Nam-gyu was really enjoying the chunky black glasses Su-bong had put on. They were very cute.
They ended up only staying for a few rounds of the tournament on that first day. Neither had any complaints—they’d have the entire day on Saturday to explore and see everything. And, that time around, they’d be used to the crowds, and people would likely have calmed down a bit after sleeping off their first-day excitement.
“Geez,” Su-bong said with a groan once they’d stumbled their way back to the hotel room. “I could sleep for fifteen hours straight.”
By now, the sun was setting over Los Angeles, casting the palm trees in a sleepy, hazy purple glow. It left Nam-gyu feeling heavy with a need to sleep himself. He shucked off his shirt and fell face-first on the bed. “Same, dude.”
Nam-gyu, from where he was laying with his face pressed into the plush white pillow, heard Su-bong let out another, longer groan. “I think I got sunburned.”
Nam-gyu turned his face enough to see Su-bong looking at his bare shoulders in the mirror. There was a faint dusting of pink along them. Nam-gyu couldn’t help but notice that, on the parts that weren’t pink with burn, Su-bong’s tan had deepened to a very lovely gold. He hummed appreciatively before returning to shoving his face into the pillow. It smelled fresh. The housekeeping attendant must have replaced the sheets while they were gone.
Su-bong turned at the sound of Nam-gyu’s hum. “Wanna take a shower?” he asked.
That got Nam-gyu to fully lift himself up. The thought of a shower was enticing, but knowing Su-bong, he’d insist on it being cold. “Only if I get to control the temperature.”
“You’ll make it too hot,” Su-bong said with a frown, turning to look back at his shoulders.
Nam-gyu got up and wrapped his arms around Su-bong’s tanned waist. “ You’ll make it too hot.”
“Don’t flirt with me,” Su-bong scolded. “I’m too sleepy for sex.”
Nam-gyu highly doubted that, judging from the way Su-bong was arching back against him, staring at Nam-gyu’s hands in the mirror as he sucked his lower lip between his teeth. But Nam-gyu was pretty tired himself. “Not flirting,” he mumbled into Su-bong’s warm shoulder. “Just appreciating.”
Su-bong huffed and threaded their fingers together. “Lukewarm. I’m not accepting anything warmer.”
Nam-gyu groaned and rolled his eyes, but relented.
Turned out, the lukewarm water was enough to give Su-bong a burst of energy. Nam-gyu found himself not really minding when the little heat it provided ran out and he was getting pelted with a bone-chilling spray of icy water straight over his face. It was easily countered by the heat of Su-bong behind him, chest pressed flush against Nam-gyu’s back, thrusting his hips forward and pounding relentlessly into him as Nam-gyu curled his fingers in the shower curtain.
When the flimsy plastic was ripped from the curtain rod, causing Nam-gyu to flinch, Su-bong gripped his hip with one hand and held Nam-gyu firm against him with the water-pruney fingers on the other.
“It’s the honeymoon suite, they won’t care,” he breathed out through pants. “Stay right there.”
Nam-gyu had no problem with that.

Scam Caller Don’t Pick Up (💏💍)
hey sorry but im divorcing u
theres this super sexy comic book artist on stage rn and im in love 😍😍😍
hes so hottttt 🥵💦
o and hes blushing! 😻💞
he must have noticed me wink at him 😉😜
Nam-gyu tried to be subtle with his glare. There was a girl in front of the podium nervously speaking into the microphone, and between the poor acoustics and her stuttering, Nam-gyu was struggling to keep up with her question. At least he had a translator.
A translator who was looking down at his phone as the texts came flooding in, smirking. Clearly not paying enough attention to properly translate the question back to Nam-gyu.
Nam-gyu couldn’t decide if he wanted to scowl at Su-bong or the translator, so he settled on both.
“She’s asking you if you didn’t like her question,” the translator said to him.
Nam-gyu’s face was already red as Su-bong so kindly pointed out, but it only got significantly worse. “What was the question?!” he hissed back.
“She asked what inspired the plotline.”
Nam-gyu cleared his throat and raised the microphone to his lips. “Hello! Sorry. It’s a very good question.” He glanced at Su-bong, who was busy trying to hide his laugh. Even with the mask and the glasses obscuring most of his face, Nam-gyu could tell by the way his shoulders were moving up and down. Nam-gyu didn’t allow himself to glare this time. The girl who asked the question was looking at him so expectantly. He focused on her and gave her a smile. “I was inspired by Cinnamoroll.”
A chorus of awws swept through the crowd.
The girl said something else, and Nam-gyu leaned in as the translator relayed it all in real time.
“‘That’s so cute. I love Cinnamoroll. Are you a big Sanrio fan?’” she parroted back, tone far more neutral than the girl’s.
Nam-gyu lifted the microphone again. “Yes!” he said with a bright smile. “My husband and I collect figurines.”
More awws . A vast amount of coos. The attention had his skin crawling. Everyone was looking at him and not at the panels from his comic that were being projected above his and the other panelists’ heads. Nam-gyu wasn’t expecting this to be such an embarrassing endeavor.
His phone just kept vibrating on his lap.
Scam Caller Don’t Pick Up (💏💍)
oh and hes so preciousssss 🥰🥹
he collects hello kitties 🙀🙀🙀
wow i should ask him on a date or smth
he said he has a husband tho
maybe theyll be down for a 3some 🤔🍆💦
oh! he just dropped his phone on the ground
Nam-gyu really did not need his real-time play-by-play of his humiliation. The incessant buzzing had him struggling to discreetly turn off his phone, leading him to very not discreetly drop it below the table he was sitting behind. The sound of the drop reverberated through his microphone. The girl thanked him and retreated back to her seat, so he quickly typed out a text under the table.
Nam-gyu
text me again and im telling everyone Thanos the Great has a daddy kink
Scam Caller Don’t Pick Up (💏💍)
uh oh have i been bad 🥺🥺🥺
did i make daddy angry
guess daddy’s gonna have to punish me later 😈
with his dick 🍆🍆🍆 ➡️ 🍑🍑🍑
Nam-gyu startled and dropped his phone again, but this time, he just left it on the floor. He pointedly avoided looking over at his translator, but he could hear the muffled laughter she was hiding behind her hands. Nam-gyu had half a mind to take Su-bong up on that text later. The insufferable bastard was grinning from his seat like a true asshole, sending hand hearts and kisses to Nam-gyu as if he wasn’t practically sexting him in front of a live audience.
Another person came up to ask Nam-gyu a question. It was the girl from the ice cream shop. Nam-gyu forced himself to stop thinking about the texts and offered her a wave.
“Hello!” he said. “It’s nice to see you again!”
The girl flushed and hid her face behind a hand as she returned the wave. “It’s nice to see you too! I can’t believe you remember me.”
Nam-gyu appreciated her attempts to speak in his own language, and they were able to have a nice back and forth for a while before she asked her question. “When did you come up with the idea for Hwaseong ?”
Nam-gyu sat up brightly and launched into the story. “I first created the character when I was in middle school. I’d draw him everywhere. I actually kind of vandalized the school bathroom by drawing him on the stalls.”
He paused. The translator repeated it to the audience in English, and a chorus of laughter rang out through the room. Nam-gyu grinned and continued.
“At first it was just Hwaseong, but over time I started making the other characters and coming up with all sorts of different adventures for them to go on. I hope to turn those adventures into more comics soon.” He spoke a little more about particular characters and where they came from, mindful not to spend too much time talking since there were still two other panelists left after him.
The host ushered the girl off, and Nam-gyu gave her a final wave before she took her seat. When he looked back up, Su-bong had joined the queue of people waiting to ask a question.
Nam-gyu fell back in his seat a little. This couldn’t be anything good. He responded to the questions of the three people in front of him, smiled and thanked them, all while bracing himself for whatever embarrassing words were about to tumble out of Su-bong’s mouth.
The host’s eyebrows shot up when Su-bong came up to the microphone. “Thanos!” he said in surprise. “Everyone, Thanos the Great is here!”
Su-bong turned around and offered a wave to the crowd before quickly fixing his gaze on Nam-gyu. He asked his question in English.
The translator leaned in and said, “He asked if there are any characters inspired by real people in your life.”
Nam-gyu rolled his eyes. “Yes, there are a few.”
Su-bong leaned into the microphone. “Care to elaborate?”
Ugh. Nam-gyu narrowed his eyes and glared. “Yup. The evil king may or may not have been inspired by a certain person I know.”
He gestured to the screen behind him, where one of the panels showed the final showdown between Hwaseong and the evil cat who ruled over the fantasy world Hwaseong was sent to. Admittedly, the character design for the cat king differed slightly from the others. Most of the characters were cute, all stubby limbs and round cheeks. The cat king was slender and tall, a deep purple with a perpetual smirk and dark eyes. He was, frankly, a little sexy. Not that Nam-gyu did that on purpose. He just wanted to show how menacing the character was and maybe some things got lost in translation.
Su-bong raised his eyebrows. “Interesting! That person must be pretty hot.”
Nam-gyu groaned and shook his head as the audience burst out into giggles. Even with the baseball cap obscuring Su-bong’s hair, it was kind of glaringly obvious who inspired the cat king when the character was projected literally right in front of him.
“And evil,” Nam-gyu shot back.
Thankfully, the host ushered Su-bong back to his seat before he could retort and started to move on to the next panelist, leaving Nam-gyu safe from all the attention. They changed the images on the projector to panels from a slice-of-life graphic novel about a girl and her father living outside the perimeter of society in the Appalachian mountains, and Nam-gyu allowed himself to get lost in the story as the panelist to his right talked about her inspirations.
He spared a few quick glances at Su-bong, who was busy sitting in the back and exchanging hushed whispers with a small group of fans that had accumulated around him. He didn't look the least bit sorry. Nam-gyu was definitely going to get his revenge later.
【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】★【☆】
“Later” came late at night when they were back at the hotel, bags of plushies and cheesy shōjo mangas and figurines heavy on their arms. Nam-gyu dropped them all on the floor and descended on Su-bong, pressing him against the closed door.
“Bad boy,” he hissed before latching onto Su-bong’s lips, licking his mouth open as he pulled Su-bong’s shirt up.
Su-bong giggled with delight and helped Nam-gyu remove the shirt. “Uh oh! Is daddy punishing me?”
Nam-gyu couldn’t be bothered to try to come up with some kind of tease like he usually did. Su-bong had already removed his shirt, taking his baseball cap with it, and he was looking very delectable with his bare chest and tousled hair. Nam-gyu wasn’t even all that mad about the texts or the question. It was embarrassing , yes, but it wasn’t exactly a secret that he was married to Su-bong. More than anything, it was a hassle. He just knew there would probably be some posts online soon about Thanos the Great showing up at Los Angeles Comic Con to publicly flirt with his new husband. Day three of the convention would be difficult to navigate now that people were aware he was there.
And Su-bong would probably eat up the attention. The brat.
“What do you think I should do?” Nam-gyu asked between nips at Su-bong’s lower lip. “Spank you?”
Su-bong shivered and wrapped his arms around Nam-gyu’s shoulders, pressing their torsos flush against each other. “You could do that,” he said breathily, “if you want to.”
Nam-gyu tilted his head and studied Su-bong’s expression. His smile was still faint on his lips, but the giggles were starting to fade out and get replaced by little moans. Nam-gyu gripped his hips and pulled their bodies together, eliciting another one of those little moans.
“What was all that about divorcing me?” Nam-gyu asked, and dragged his hip to the side, breath catching at the friction of their dicks making contact. Su-bong was already achingly hard, and Nam-gyu was sure to catch up if Su-bong kept moaning like that.
Despite that, Su-bong managed to put on a smirk. “You should’ve seen the guy. He was so hot.”
Nam-gyu hummed, and started mouthing at Su-bong’s neck. “I bet. Tell me about him.”
Su-bong shuddered and lifted his neck up, giving Nam-gyu more access to his throat. “He was this tall guy with a bald head and—”
Nam-gyu scoffed as Su-bong started to describe the panelist before him. He was a little cute, in a grandpa way. And his comic about a family of squirrels adopting a baby bird was very good. But Nam-gyu was far too turned on to keep up the bit. He took a hand off Su-bong’s hip, purposefully dragging his fingers up his side and chest and catching on a nipple, and placed his palm delicately on his throat. With just the lightest amount of pressure, he tapped his thumb against Su-bong’s jugular.
“Should I remind you who you belong to?”
Su-bong groaned and knocked his head against the door. “Yes.”
Nam-gyu smiled. “Get on the bed.”
Su-bong’s pupils blew wide at the command. He flushed, and Nam-gyu could feel his Adam’s apple moving under his thumb. Then, in an instant, Su-bong was on the bed, propped up on his elbows and looking up at Nam-gyu expectantly.
“How do you want me?” he asked, wide-eyed and breathing hard.
Nam-gyu moseyed his way over and took in the sight of him. His jeans were tight against his straining dick. Nam-gyu kneeled on the bed and palmed him through his pants. “Just like this,” he said. “Lay back for me, baby.”
Su-bong’s head fell against the pillows. Nam-gyu watched his face closely as he unbuckled his belt for him and pulled his jeans down to his thighs. His eyebrows pinched together and he let out a whine once Nam-gyu had lifted the waistband of his boxers and freed his cock from the restraint. He wrapped his fingers around him, gave him a single dry tug, before lowering himself on the bed to capture Su-bong’s dick between his lips.
“This doesn’t feel like much of a punishment,” Su-bong said, threading his fingers into Nam-gyu’s hair and tugging.
As much as Nam-gyu would have loved to stay down there, preening at the feeling of Su-bong’s fingers on his scalp and the taste of him on his tongue, he pulled off with a wet smack and sat back up, looking at Su-bong with an eyebrow raised. “Yeah?” he asked. “Do you want it to?”
Su-bong whined and writhed around. “Why’d you stop?”
Nam-gyu shifted up the bed to straddle Su-bong’s lap. “If you want me to punish you, I can.”
“Tempting offer,” Su-bong said. “What are you thinking of?”
Nam-gyu pondered the question for a moment, then reached into the travel bag on the nightstand, pulling out the bottle of lube that had seen far too much action in such a short period of time. It was brand new when they started their honeymoon. Now, it was more than half empty.
“Think you can come from just my fingers?” Nam-gyu asked, already popping open the bottle.
Su-bong’s breath hitched, but he managed to catch himself and roll his eyes. “You’re the worst dom ever. How is that a punishment?”
Just when Nam-gyu was thinking they could actually have a genuinely sexy moment. That hadn’t happened in their two years of being together, so he didn’t know why he would ever expect it. “Ugh, I’m not domming you, you creep.”
Su-bong let out a laugh. “Then what’s all this about punishing me? You’re literally daddy domming me right now.”
Nam-gyu huffed and put the bottle down on the bed. “Geez, you’re making it sound like you don’t want me to finger you.”
“What? Shut up, yes I do,” Su-bong whined, and made grabby hands at Nam-gyu until he relented and bent down for a kiss. “Put your fingers in my ass now.”
“You make it sound so romantic,” Nam-gyu said with a long-suffering sigh. “Fine. Put your legs around my waist.”
“Whatever you say, daddy.”
Nam-gyu delivered a smack to the side of his thigh. “Take this seriously! I’m trying to dom you.”
Su-bong giggled. “I am taking this seriously.” He schooled his expression and looked up at Nam-gyu with half-lidded eyes. “You can do that again if you want.”
Nam-gyu rubbed the spot he’d just hit, pressing his fingers into the muscled flesh, before raising his palm and slapping down. Su-bong arched his back off the bed and groaned, thrusting his hips up.
“You ready for me, baby?” Nam-gyu asked, massaging his warm thigh again. Su-bong nodded and tightened his legs around Nam-gyu’s waist.
“Yes,” Su-bong choked out. “Please.”
Nam-gyu reached down and picked up the bottle again, squeezing a dime-size amount onto his fingers. He urged Su-bong’s thighs up and farther apart before lowering his hand to circle his rim.
The first press of a finger has Su-bong warbling out a string of unintelligible moans. He automatically reached down to touch himself, and Nam-gyu pushed his hands back.
“Just my fingers,” Nam-gyu snapped. “Keep your hands where I can see them.”
Su-bong didn’t shoot back a quippy retort like usual. His flush spread to his chest and he nodded wordlessly, lifting his hands to grip the pillow by the side of his face.
Nam-gyu had to admit he was a little satisfied with himself. But more than that, he was struggling to stop himself from just ripping off his own clothes and fucking Su-bong. He just looked so utterly wrecked already, red-faced and breathing hard and vibrating underneath him, despite things only just getting started. But Nam-gyu had a mission to accomplish, after all. Maybe he could fuck him once he’d been successful, so he quickly added a second finger and pressed deeply in, seeking out Su-bong’s prostate.
When he found it and brushed teasingly against the bundle of nerves, Su-bong let out a yelp and pushed down to meet the contact. “Fuck, holy shit,” he seethed out.
“Feels good, baby?” Nam-gyu asked. The answer he got was a string of moans and cusses as he prodded again at his prostate, slowly and deliberately dragging the pads of his fingers against it.
“Fuck me, please,” Su-bong begged. “I need your dick so bad.”
It was very, very tempting. Nam-gyu wasn’t confident he could keep up this punishment schtick he had going on. “How bad do you need it?” he asked.
Su-bong groaned and squeezed his eyes shut, clenching around Nam-gyu’s fingers as he pulled them in and out with increasing intensity. “So fucking bad,” he warbled. “Fuck, I need to feel you inside me right now. Please? Will you do that, daddy? Please?”
Nam-gyu grimaced at just how much the pet name was working on him. It was a good thing Su-bong’s eyes were closed and he couldn’t see the visible stain of precum on the front of his pants. Then again, that wouldn’t be such a bad thing. He wouldn’t be so terribly opposed to seeing the hungry look Su-bong got in his eyes whenever he saw how hard Nam-gyu got for him.
“That badly?” Nam-gyu asked in a strained voice.
“ Yes ,” Su-bong moaned. “Yes, yes, fucking- Yes. Please.”
Any attempts at keeping up the act were thrown out the window and chucked into the late night city streets. Nam-gyu shucked off his pants and pulled Su-bong’s legs onto his shoulders.
“Is this what you want, baby?” Nam-gyu asked, petting up and down Su-bong's thighs and mouthing at the flesh there, softening and flexing as his muscles shook.
Su-bong looked close to tears. “Please, please, yes. ”
Nam-gyu pressed a kiss to the side of his leg and grabbed hold of his dick, guiding it to Su-bong’s hole. He shuddered, breath threatening to get caught in his lungs, as he felt Su-bong squeeze around his tip. He stopped for a moment to breathe before pushing in all the way.
Tears did start to spill from Su-bong’s eyes once Nam-gyu got used to the tight sensation and built up a steady, brutal pace. “Fuck, harder, please .”
Nam-gyu hoped the suite on the other side of the wall wasn’t occupied. Between Su-bong’s begging and the way he looked completely wrecked beneath him, Nam-gyu couldn’t stop himself from letting out loud, rasping groans that echoed through the room. Su-bong wasn’t doing any better himself, whining and gasping and nearly screaming every time Nam-gyu hit his prostate.
“Turn over,” Nam-gyu panted out, and Su-bong easily complied. His limbs were shaking and unstable as he got on his knees and gripped the headboard.
Nam-gyu grabbed his ass and squeezed before delivering a smack to the cheek. Su-bong gasped and arched his back. “Oh my god ,” he cried out. “Fuck. Please fuck me right now.”
It was enough to make Nam-gyu come right there, seeing Su-bong so desperate and clenching around nothing. He slid back in, and with the new position was able to keep a steady grip on Su-bong’s hips and grind into him, thrusting in and out with more stable precision than before. His own limbs were shaky and it was getting difficult to keep his thighs from giving out, so he leaned over Su-bong and peppered kisses along his spine as he fucked him against the headboard.
Nam-gyu’s own orgasm was just a few thrusts away, so he wrapped one arm around Su-bong’s stomach and used his free hand to jerk his cock in time with his thrusts.
“I’m gonna come,” Su-bong wheezed out.
Nam-gyu kissed his shoulder blade and bit down. He was so close himself. “Come for daddy, baby,” he said.
Su-bong let out a cry as he spilled over the sheets. He collapsed down to his elbows, and Nam-gyu sat up and fucked into him until, not more than a few moments later, his own orgasm washed over him.
He stayed up for a second, catching his breath and riding out his orgasm, before sliding out of Su-bong with an oversensitive hiss and toppling down on the bed. Su-bong immediately clambered on top of him and lapped into his mouth with hot, wet, kisses.
“That wasn’t a very good punishment,” he said once he’d gotten his fill of Nam-gyu’s tongue. “If anything, that was a reward.”
Nam-gyu smiled and kissed his nose. “Maybe next time I’ll tie you up.”
Su-bong shuddered at the suggestion. “Still sounds like a reward.”
Nam-gyu laughed and wrapped his arms around him. “Then what do you want, huh?”
Su-bong happily snuggled in and laid his head on Nam-gyu's chest. “This is good for now.”
Kind of still sounded like a reward. Nam-gyu wasn’t complaining. It was late, and the sun had long since set, leaving a brilliant view of the sparkling city lights outside their window. He could fall asleep just like this, warm and cozy with Su-bong in his arms. He knew they would both regret that in the morning, though.
“Wanna take a bath?” Nam-gyu asked.
Su-bong looked up at him and grinned. “Together?”
“Duh.”
It was lucky the honeymoon suite came with an extra set of sheets. And, now, an extra shower curtain, which should have left Nam-gyu embarrassed, knowing housekeeping likely could wager a guess as to how that accident happened. But when Nam-gyu nestled in the tub between Su-bong’s legs and felt his arms wrapped around him in the soothing, hot, citrus-scented water, he figured it didn’t matter all that much. It was the honeymoon suite after all. They probably dealt with this kind of crap all the time.

“I take it this is the scam caller?”
Nam-gyu deeply regretted coming back to this particular café. Su-bong, however, had been enamored with their gilgeori toast and begged Nam-gyu to take him for some just one more time before they returned home. It was the last day of their honeymoon and Nam-gyu knew he’d never have to see the barista again after this, so he acquiesced. Su-bong had looked so happy, anyway. How could he say no? Maybe the barista forgot all about their awkward interaction anyway. That had been nearly a full week ago.
But it was clear that the barista did not forget their awkward interaction. The second she saw Nam-gyu walk through the door, she put on a knowing smirk. And then when she saw Su-bong follow in behind him, the smirk only grew.
“No,” Nam-gyu shot back. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
The barista nodded, still smirking. “Okay. What can I get for you?”
Thank god she was professional enough to drop it. Nam-gyu let Su-bong take the reins and order for them—in English, the damn show-off, even though the barista greeted them in Korean.
They were so close to escaping the interaction unscathed. Su-bong paid for the order, no horny texts clogging up his Apple Pay, and they stood at the edge of the counter to wait for their drinks and sandwiches. Nam-gyu even let his guard down enough to laugh when Su-bong made a joke about the silly little café mascot, saying the chubby-cheeked cartoon hamster resembled Min-su.
“I’ll have to send him a picture,” Nam-gyu said, and raised his phone to snap a photo of the cartoon.
Of course, the barista had to ruin it. Nam-gyu startled and dropped his phone to the ground when the barista called out, “Two iced caramel macchiatos for Thanos the Great and Daddy.”
Su-bong beamed as if his ridiculous kink didn't just get broadcast to the entire café. It was, admittedly, empty aside from them and the barista, but still. “You know who I am?”
The barista nodded and smiled. “Yes! I love your music. I’m going to your concert when I visit my grandparents in Seoul this December!”
Nam-gyu watched incredulously as Su-bong took a picture with the barista and promised to look for her face at his show.
“Excuse me?” Nam-gyu asked, face red. “Are we just going to gloss over the heinous unprofessionalism?”
“You’re the one who showed me your sexts,” the barista said, unimpressed.
Somehow, Su-bong was not the least bit embarrassed. He giggled and shrugged his shoulders as if to say, she has a point .
Nam-gyu just scowled and accepted the drink Su-bong handed him. “Thanks,” he grumbled.
“No problem, daddy.”
