Burned alive catnap sees prototypes descending hand above him
"Finnaly my god and saviour " he thought, only to find himself getting stabbed in his head by his own god hand.
Catnap cried in pain as he finnaly understood that prototype manipulated him all along and that he would never give him the promised freedom he wanted all this time, slowly the pain eased a little as he began fell dizzy. Then suddenly bright light flashed before his eyes as he found himself in a completly new place, a new world?
"W-where am i, w-what has happened?" The purple feline stuttered to himself. He noticed that his body was back to normal, he no longer looked like huge creepy cat looking monstrosity but a smiling critter again.
He looked around and noticed that he was in a treehouse, near some kind of village, as he was getting to know the new place his memories of past life came back like a flash flood, he cried as he recalled that his supposed to be god turned out to be a traitor that only used the poor cat as a tool. He was sobbing as he fell onto some kind of beanbag, his cries only became worse as he acknowladged that he killed all his friends for nothing, but that wasn't the worst, he tortured and imprisoned his best friend dogday for a long time.
The feline was sobbed and cried for an hour but then he suddenly heard someone coming near the tree house, he didn't bother to check who it was as he was not in the mood nor the shape to do it, but then a familiar face climbed up to the treehouse. It was Bobby, she came here becouse of the cries she heard and as the big hearted bear she is wanted to check what was going on
"C-catnap?" The surprised bear said, she felt a little scared when she saw the purple feline crying in the corner on the beanbag. The cat didn't know what to do, he was scared, shocked and sad at the same time.
"Bobby? H-how are you alive, what is this place?" Catnap muttered between the sobs.
"Calm down catnap" the bear said as she slowly walked closer to the cat, she felt a little scared to be honest but she couldn't stand seeing an old friend in such a terrible state. "I will explain everything after you calm down a little" she said as she calmly patted the cats shoulder
It took about 10 minutes for the feline to calm down
""W-what is happening?" Cat stuttered
"This is afterlife, you must have died catnap" she explained to the distressed friend
Catnap looked at her completely shocked. But also it did kind of make sense, he remembers Prototypes arm stabbing him right in the face.
"Oh, that would make sense" he responded. "The prototype manipulated me all along, the promised freedom was just a lie, he used it to make me do everything i did believing it was for everyons good..." The feline explained to her as he hugged his knees still slightly sobbing.
"Catnap, its okay now, don't cry you can talk to me about it" she tried to comfort the purple cat as he was starting to cry more.
"W-why are you doing this?! Aren't you scared of me?! I-I killed and betrayed you yet you still care about me and my feelings. Why? I don't understand!" Catnap cried with a shaky voice.
"Shhh its okay, all that is past, This is a new life and a new chance for you to redeem yourself from you past sins, to be honest i forgave you a while ago." she said as she hugged catnap to ease his cries
The cat couldn't believe what he heard. She gave him a second chance after all the horrible and cruel thungs he has done to her? He remembers that bobby always was the most caring, comforting and forgiving among them all but he still couldn't belive it.
"I-I missed you, missed all of us hanging out like in old times, it hasn't been the same since we died, i know that what you have done should never be forgiven but i always felt like you were manipulated by the prototype, it wasn't your fault." She explained catnap, her words were so genuine and warm that he felt his heart ache.
'"Bobby I-Im so sorry about all the pain I caused! I regret it all so so incredibly much!" The cat almost yelled as he wrapped Bobby in a tight hug. "I wont waste this chance, I will prove to you that i can change!" He said while hugging bobby and crying because of his happiness.
"I know you can change and that you already did, i would worry about proving it to others." She said to the cat
Thats right. He forgot that all his other friends are here as well (if he can still call them friends). Thinking about all of them being here made him kind of anxious, what if they won't forgive him like bobby and instead they will forever hate him, and most importantly what if his best friend dogday won't forgive him? What would happen then?
"Do you think there's any chance they will forgive me?" The cat asked her with an shaky voice
"Im sure you can explain yourself to them. They for sure will understand what was really going on and possibly give you a second chance here in afterlife." The bear said to him with a big smile on her face
"I hope so, I missed you all a lot back at playtime co, but Prototype made sure i wouldn't think about that to much." Catnap explained while looking down onto the floor. He still wasn't so sure about the rest of his firends forgiving him.
"Hey don't be sad now its all in the past. Why don't we drink some tea to ease your mind? I see you got nice kitchen here." Bobby asked catnap.
He noded and headed after her to the small kitchen. he sat down on one of the chairs. He was looking at the bear as she was searching the cabinets for tea. And it hit him,he missed it, he missed it all so bad. He missed every moment he had spent together with his friends, every hangout they ever had. Now was the moment he has made up his mind, he has to make it up to his friends and redeem himself so everything will be back to normal.
"I know i already said it l, but thank you so much Bobby, I only now noticed how much I missed everyone. I promise i will make it up to everybody and make everything to be as it was or even better ." The feline said to Bobby what made her heart melt, she never had this much hope that they all could be back together as smiling critters.
Still she was worried, she was worried about one particular person. Dogday, as soon as he came here he was.... different, he wasn't cheerfull at all compared to how he was back then but they all thought that it might be because he died, but even after several days he was still distant to them. He hanged out with them a few times but never spoke much he just sat with them and left quickly to lock himself up in his house. And they never knew the couse of this, whenever they asked him about this he just avoided the question or went back to his house where he spend most of his time. But the bear chose not tell catnap yet, she knew how close these two were back then and she didn't want to worry the poor cat.
"I think they missed you to catnap, and just so you know im holding you on this promise." She smiled happly at the cat.
He smiled back at her knowing that theres no going back now, not that he wanted to. He wanted to fix his mistakes more than anything right.
they were sitting in a comforting silence as the bear finished making tea for them.
"Heres your tea" she said as she handed a cup of lavender tea with vanilla sugar to the cat
"Thanks" he responded then he took a sip of the tea. "Wow its perfect, after all this time you still remember my favorite tea...." his eyes got a little watery, he truly was moved by this gesture and it only made him want to go back to the good old times even more.
"How could i forget my friends favorite tea" she said to the cat.
A tear fell down his cheek, she called Catnap her friend.
"Y-you already consider me a friend?" Catnap asked with tears in his eyes.
"Of course I do! I already said I forgave you." She said as walked over to give a warm hug.
"Thank you...." he said as few tears fell down his cheeks
"No problem" she said as she pulled away. "Now finish your tea and go to sleep. Its getting dark and you should go to see some of the other critters next day." She told him
"You're right. Thank you for everything." he said as gave her quick hug before she left. "OH WAIT BOBBY!" he yelled just before she left.
"Hm?" She looked at him
"Uh.. will you go to them with me next day...?" He said shyly
"Of course I will!" She responded, she forgot how stressd the feline probably must be meeting others. "Now better go to sleep, you cant be tired for the next day." She added before leaving
Was it really that late? He wondered and checked the clock, it was 9pm!? They were talikng for the whole day, time passes quickly when you are with a friend. Then he did just as she said, he finished the tea and looked around his new home for some kind of blanket, luckily he found one quickly then he went straight to his beanbag and laid down. It took him some time to fall asleep, mostly because of the stress and everything that has happened today, but eventualy he managed to fall asleep.
