Work Text:
The Bishop was never like this, and frankly, it terrified Cadence. He has seen the Bishop stressed and mildly infuriated, but this was a whole other level.
They had simply been performing for the upcoming ritual; Copia had to remind Cadence often not to get too carried away in his performances, much to the latter's chagrin. There was one thing that was missing though…
The Bishop.
The Bishop always lingered on the sidelines even during practices, making sure everyone was prepared for their roles during the ritual, corralling the Ghouls, and taking part himself for his own parts. But Cade hadn't even seen the tall male this entire time, and it was honestly starting to worry him.
During a lapse in his own performance, Cadence wanders off to search for his friend, concern filling the male with each passing moment that he didn't find him. But soon, he can hear hushed voices tucked away in a spot backstage that Cade and Dante had grown quite… close to on another occasion. Torn between wanting to respect whoever it was and the curiosity to eavesdrop, Cadence lingers awkwardly just out of earshot, unable to distinguish any of the whispered words. But then he recognizes one of the voices, and then the other. It was the Bishop and…. Terzo?
That familiar uncomfortable twinge settles in Cadence's stomach and he turns to leave, to distract himself with the practice from the confusing feelings he harbored towards his friend and superior, but then he notices something off about their tones. They sounded almost… angry.
Cade's curiosity gets the better of him and he creeps closer, but as soon as he was close enough to distinguish whatever was being said, he watches as Terzo walks rather quickly away from the Bishop.
Cade swallows and glances towards Bishop; the tall male's posture is stiff and he watches Terzo storm off with a clenched jaw. It seemed like the two may have been arguing. Curiosity still engulfing him but now being mixed with worry for his friend, Cade approaches Dante as if he had just now approached.
“Hey, mate… everything all right? I haven't seen you at practice, I'm used to having you right on top of everyone.” Cadence adds a less-than-convincing chuckle to the end of his greeting, but hopes that he wouldn't be found out that he had been there for a good few minutes.
The Bishop quickly turns his head to the other and visibly relaxes slightly, exhaling and pushing a hand through his dark bangs, earning Cade a quick glimpse of the other side of his face that he rarely got to see, before setting his eyes on Cadence.
And that stare.
It wasn't the enticing one that always made Cadence's knees weak and would send heat pooling between his thighs. This was cold, just a step away from an actual glare. It was a gaze Cadence had never seen come from Dante, especially not directed towards him, and it made him stop in his tracks.
“Valerio.” The Bishop addresses in an unsettlingly formal and equally cold tone, and it sends a shiver down the shorter male's spine.
This could only mean something bad. He wasn't good enough for Ghost, or maybe… he wasn't good enough for Dante, which almost hurt more than not being good for the band itself. What had he done wrong? Where had he lacked? Thoughts raced through his mind a mile a second, and all he could do was stand there and stare at the Bishop with a dumb look of terror on his face at what was to come.
“Come.” The Bishop commands in a stern tone, beckoning with a single gloved finger, and Cadence obliged, though each step felt as if his feet were made of lead.
After closing the distance between them, a feat which felt as if it lasted for eons, Cade stands in front of the older male, craning his head to gaze up at him. “Y…yes, Bishop?” Cadence practically croaks out from how dry his throat suddenly felt.
“Come with me. I need to speak with you in my quarters.”
Typically, an invitation to the Bishop's private bedroom would be a thrilling one, a promise that Cade would end up extremely satisfied and content to just spend time with his friend, but it may as well have been a death sentence with the uncharacteristically chilling tone coming from Dante.
Cadence silently follows after his friend, though he has to practically jog to keep up with the other. He was used to Dante's long strides that he would have to scramble to keep up with, but the Bishop would typically slow down for him when he'd noticed Cade struggling to keep up. But not this time. This time, Dante wasn't even glancing at the other male, his gaze fixed ahead and his jaw set tight.
They finally make it to the Bishop's bedroom and Cade steps through the door first with Dante shutting and locking it behind. The younger male steps more into the room before turning and facing the Bishop.
“Should I take off my clothes now or wait?” He attempts to joke, hoping to earn a light smile or a playful shake of the head from Dante, but still, nothing. Something was truly wrong and it made his nerves ignite with anxieties tenfold.
The Bishop tugs off his gloves and walks past Cadence as if the other male isn't even there. He goes to a shelf and pulls a small black box down and carries it to the chair the Bishop had faced towards the fireplace in his room and sets it on the small table beside him. He then removes his robing and folds them neatly, setting them aside before sitting himself down in the chair.
“Come.”
Again, beckoned by a pale, painted finger, Cade slowly walks over to the other man and stands in front of him, gazing down at Dante as he felt like his heart would burst in his chest from the sheer terror of what was about to happen.
Even in this strange mood, Cade couldn't help but find his friend intimidatingly beautiful. It didn't help that his heart constantly ached anytime he so much as looked at Dante, even now when his fate, his future was unknown and potentially hanging in the balance.
Dante takes the small box that he had retrieved and places it in his lap, unlocking the little silver clasps on it before gazing up at Cade with an emerald eye that pierces him to his core.
“You may remove your clothes.”
The words were said so robotically and appeared to be an offer, but Cade knew better. Dante may have said it as if there was some sort of leeway, but he knew it was an order. Feeling not only anxious but now confused, Cade begins to remove his garments, slowly, and Dante isn't even looking at him.
“How… much do you want me to remove?” Cade asks in a soft murmur, his shirt now off and his hands fiddling with his pants.
“All.”
With a soft exhale, Cadence does as he's told and removes the rest of his clothing, now suddenly feeling a bit awkward in front of the man as he stood naked. The Bishop has seen him bare many times now and Cade wasn't one to shy away from going without clothing, but with the unknown nature of this meeting, he wasn't sure if he should feel aroused or terrified. Or a strange mix of both.
The Bishop opens the small box and pulls out its contents, and Cade's confusion just multiplies.
It was a black collar, decorated with lace and rubies and faux roses, and connected to the silver loop was a black leash. Dante sets the items in his lap and places the box back on the table beside him and then lifts the items thoughtfully.
“Typically, these are used for little cuccioli, but I think we can make due with it, can't we, gattino?”
The Bishop meets Cade's gaze again, and though that dangerous look was still on his face, his tone was less so, and sounded more like what Cade was used to, albeit with a slight edge. The Bishop never struck Cade as one to be into this sort of thing, but he knew that the Bishop did like being in control. Maybe it was some sort of power play thing. Now that Cadence knew he wasn't going to be fired or sacrificed or forbidden from spending any time with the Bishop anymore, he found himself relaxing and smiling, stepping closer and running a hand through the Bishop's hair.
Cade lightly grips Dante's hair and tilts his head back, earning a soft gasp and a flutter of the eyes. “If you wanted to fuck, you could've just said so. You've had me scared…”
Dante inhales and firmly grabs Cade's wrist, pulling his hand from his hair. “Good pets listen to commands.” His tone is strong and low, stern as he gives Cade a look that dares him to challenge him. And Cade would be lying if he said it didn't turn him on at least a little.
“Lean down.” Dante orders, and Cade does so, holding his hair out of the way as the Bishop places the collar on him. He then takes the leash into his hand as he sits back in his chair, giving it a light tug that has Cade leaning forward and gasping softly.
“Mmm… perfetto…” Dante hums. “Now… you will not speak unless I tell you to. You will not do anything unless I tell you to.” He lists off, admiring how the collar looks wrapped around Cadence's neck. “And you will not cum unless I tell you to.”
That last bit had Cade squeezing his thighs together with arousal and a touch of nervousness, not knowing if he should be afraid of that command or not. But he nods, though remaining quiet would be rather difficult as he always loved talking to whatever partner he was with during any sort of intimacy, whispering praises and pleas.
Dante yanks the other even closer by his leash so that Cade was standing right up against the chair; any further and he'd be looming over the Bishop. With his free hand, the Bishop traces his fingertips up Cadence's thigh to between his legs, his fingers dipping into the other's most sensitive parts that already has him gasping. Dante's fingers move agonizingly slow, rubbing from the front all the way to his entrance and circling the wet hole before repeating the movements.
“Wet already? Hm.” Dante observes with a click of his tongue.
Cade parts his lips to speak, but the Bishop wraps the leash around his hand once and gives it a tug, making the younger male lurch forward and catch himself with his hands on either side of the Bishop against the arms of the chair. He was so close to the Bishop now, and that intense gaze burns into him even more.
“What did I say?” Dante warns, his fingertips moving to Cadence's swollen nun and rubbing it slowly, making his hips push forward and his nails scratch at the arms of the chair with a hiss of pleasure.
“Besides… good pets get rewards, gattino….” Dante practically coos, and his fingers push back and find their way inside of Cadence. “You want to be a good boy for me, don't you?”
Cade's eyes were fluttering as Dante's fingers slowly move inside of his wet entrance and he already finds himself rocking against the other's hand. He could feel just how turned on he was, but he needed more. He stares at Dante, silently asking for permission to speak, and the older male nods slightly as he swallows. “Yes…. I want to be your good boy, Dante.”
A little satisfied smirk comes to the Bishop's lips and as he moves his fingers inside of the other male, his thumb rubs against Cadence's swollen dick and earns a breathy sigh of pleasure from the other. Dante leans back in his seat, one hand holding the leash - and in turn, Cade - in place while the other slowly works in the other's most intimate areas, his fingers and thumb moving at an agonizingly slow pace that has Cade squirming and whining, desperate for more but worried to ask for it.
Cade manages to open his eyes slightly and gazes down at the tent in the other's tight slacks, one of his hands reaching down to touch him, to spur Dante on more to get him to touch him more. But the Bishop clicks his tongue again, giving a little tug on the leash and crooking his fingers inside of Cade in a way that has him gasping and almost seeing stars.
“Did I say you could touch me, gattino?”
“N-no-”
“‘No’, what?” Dante urges, curling his fingers more and rubbing the tips against that spot inside him that threatens to send Cade coming undone right then and there.
Cadence swallows, his breathing labored as his mind races to try and think of what exactly Dante was wanting, worried that if he gave the wrong response, those fingers would stop working their magic. Finally, he stammers out a soft, “No…sir?”
A shuddering sigh leaves the Bishop at that, and it seemed like Cade had decided on the right choice of addressing him until he feels Dante's fingers pulling out of him, and Cade lets out a desperate whine as he feels himself aching for more of the other's touch. His brows knit together as his legs tremble and he is well aware of how slick and hard he was that it was almost painful, and Dante brings his hand to his lips and slowly licks Cadence's juices from his digits.
“God- Satan, dammit-” Cadence murmurs, which makes Dante scowl and tug the other into his lap.
“What did I say about talking out of turn?” Dante chastises, before his gaze wanders over the naked form of the man in his lap and he hums as he ponders.
“You have been doing fairly well, though… and good pets deserve a reward.”
The promise of some sort of reward was enticing, and Cadence leans in as the hand that had been touching him moments ago caresses his jaw as the Bishop leans in close.
“I want you to ride my cock, gattino….”
The Bishop was usually almost poetic with his dirty talk that the bluntness has Cade reeling and biting down into his lip with an aroused groan, and he quickly fumbles with Dante's pants, struggling a bit given then angle. Judging by how the Bishop sits back once again and simply watches the other male struggle, however, it seemed like Dante wanted Cade to do the work himself. Normally he would spout some bratty comment towards the other but he needed Dante inside him so badly right now that he didn't give a fuck, and he wasn't going to risk the Bishop teasing him any further.
Cadence finally manages to pull Dante's length from the confines of his clothing and to tug the pants down his hips a bit, and Dante sighs as the other's fingers graze his warm, sensitive skin. It seemed like Dante was just as turned on as Cade was given how tightly the Bishop was squeezing the lead in his hand and watching with a piercing eye.
Without asking for permission to continue, not wanting to give Dante a moment to reconsider, Cade lifts his hips up, reaching between them and guiding the head of Dante's cock to his waiting entrance. Before Cade can slowly sink down, Dante tugs hard on the leash, pulling him fully onto him and making them both gasp in pleasure. Dante's free hand rests on Cadence's lower back and the Bishop seems to be fighting Lucifer to not buck up into the warm heat wrapped around him. Cade does the honors, rocking his hips down on the other at an already desperate pace, panting and gazing at Dante through fluttering lashes. He had already been brought pretty close to the edge by the other's touches from before, and Cade was desperate to get off, and it seemed like Dante felt similarly as he doesn't try to get Cade to slow down at all.
Cadence moves to rest his hands on Dante's shoulders to try and give himself some leverage, but Dante shakes his head.
“Lean back, pet… I've got you.” Those last three words are said with such tenderness that Cade doesn't question it. He slowly and carefully leans back, his hands finding placement on Dante's knees behind him as his top half is held up by the collar and leash around his neck. Dante's gaze shifts downwards to where their bodies were connected, and the Bishop seems to moan at the sight. His hips push up to meet Cadence's movements and the younger male throws his head back with repeated cries of the other's name. And when he feels Dante's thumb rubbing against the underside of his cock, Cade is trembling in his lap, his eyes squeezed tightly shut.
“Are you close, gattino?” Dante whispers in a breathless voice, his thumb rubbing even faster.
The pleasure was almost overwhelming and Cade can feel tears dotting his eyes as his moans come out as near sobs of pleasure. He tries his best to reply to the other between his gasps for air and moans of his name.
“I'm- Satan….fuck, Dante….yes…!”
Cade remembered the other's earlier warning of not finishing without permission, but he wasn't fully sure how much more of this he could handle. Between the Bishop's cock pushing deep inside of him and the thumb rubbing at his sensitive dick, Cade knew he was going to finish soon, with or without permission, as much as he was trying to hold back.
The silence from Dante was torturous before his thumb began to flick against the underside of Cadence's cock at a rapid pace, and Cade was gasping and crying out and his nails were clawing at the Bishop's knees.
“Finish for me, tesoro… let me hear you sing.”
Those words, words that were similar to ones the Bishop had muttered before to the other male, were the final push over the edge before Cadence is crying loudly in pleasure, his walls clamping down around Dante as the rush of his release coats Dante's lap. The Bishop groans as Cade tightens around him with his release, and within a thrust or two more, the Bishop is pulling himself out of Cade and releasing against the male's stomach with a mix of broken Italian and English curses.
The two slump against each other and gasp for air as they come down from their climaxes, Dante finally releasing the leash so he can wrap both arms around the other male and hug him close. Cadence rests his head against Dante's chest, listening to the rapid thump of the older man's heart as it gradually returns to beating at a normal pace, and Cade nuzzles his head underneath the Bishop's jaw, kissing at his clothes collar bone with an exhausted, happy sigh.
“That….was fucking intense….” Cade comments softly before lifting his head to gaze at the male under him. He rubs his hands against the Bishop's chest as Dante smiles and sighs in agreement.
This was nice…. Cade felt relaxed, at peace, and safe against the other. But something nagged the back of his mind, and he couldn't help but ask.
“What… brought this on? I mean, not that I mind at all. Quite the opposite.” Cade chuckles softly, but Dante's gaze doesn't mirror the humor.
Dante gazes at Cade with an unreadable gaze before his eyes shift to the side. Cade could swear he caught a bit of… guilt in those green eyes.
“....Nothing, Cade.” The Bishop responds in a whisper of a voice.
And it dawns on him. The use of his name and the avoidance in his tone. And how Cade was certain that the Bishop and Terzo had been arguing before he had approached Dante.
This wasn't just a spur of the moment thing.
Cadence had been a distraction.
From Terzo.
And that simple realization cut through him like a knife. But, stupidly, like an obedient pet, Cadence doesn't pull back or scold Dante.
No. He relished in the affection and attention, even though the circumstances pained him.
Because an obedient pet accepted any sort of praise and affection without questioning, right?
