“ Don’t worry Takemitchy, if anyone tries to hurt you than I’ll handle it”, Mikey said winking at Takemichi
Takemichi sigh while walking with Mikey and Draken to their first destination: First Division base. It’s been a day since Takemichi got out of the hospital because of the whole Valhalla brawl and all he wanted to do was relax. Yet here he is getting dragged by Toman leader to pick what division he will be in.
”I doubt that he is scared about anyone hurting him, Mikey. He probably just wants to rest since he was just stabbed, trust me, I know the feeling” Draken said, relaxed as ever. Takemichi can always count on Draken to be understanding and level headed, he can’t help but give a ‘ I agree’ nod at Draken words.
“That’s true, he is a crybaby after all”, Mikey said in a teasing voice looking at Takemichi. Then out of nowhere you hear Draken burst out laughing with Mikey chuckling along with him, Takemichi takes back anything he thought cool of those two.
”W-Whatever, let’s just get this damn thing over with”, Takemichi said stomping away from them.
”Takemichi- *chuckles* wait we were just joking, you're our crybaby hero”, Mikey said trying to stop his giggles from coming out.
Takemichi huffed and ignored them.
“CHIFUYUUUUU!”
”PARTNNNNNER!”
Both of them ran up to each other screaming with joy, they stayed in each other’s embrace until Mikey broke them up with an annoyed face. Chifuyu gives off an embarrassed look while scratching the back of his head and bowing at Mikey giving him respect.
”So, what brings y’all to the first division?”, Chifuyu said curiously.
”Takemitchy is gonna choose which division he wants to be in since he has joined Toman”, Mikey said nonchalantly while glaring at Chifuyu.
“Well no need to visit the others then”, Baji said walking up with complete confidence.
“First division welcomes you, Hanagaki Takemitchy!!”, Baji yells with his hands out on both sides.
”W-wait really!? This is great! That means we are always gonna be together partner!!” Chifuyu said excitedly while squeezing Takemichi into a hug.
”Woah slow down guys, we don’t know if Takemitchy here wants to join your division”, Draken said calming down the excitement.
”What's the point of showing him the other divisions when he just found the best one?”, Baji said with complete cockiness.
”Not to mention you saved my ass and brought Kazutora back all in one day, you're pretty badass even though you cry like a new born baby” Baji said teasingly while slinging his arm around Takemichi, and with a bit of thankfulness in his voice. Takemichi rolled his eyes when Baji commented on him crying, he’s not THAT much of a crybaby, right?
Out of nowhere, he feels someone snake their arms around Takemichi's waist and lay their head on the back of Takemichi ruining his cool ass hair cut. Now his hair is back to the boring down fluffy cut. He wants to look over to see who it is, but he hears a similar cling from their earring to figure out it’s Kazutora. Takemichi started to notice that he was trapped by the first division's leader, vice captain, and 2nd vice captain. His face turns red by how embarrassed he feels even though he feels so comfortable right now.
”Let him go” Mikey said dangerously, suddenly Takemichi had some space to breathe.
”No need to get jealous Mikey” Baji said teasing, Takemichi gave off a confused look. ‘Why would Mikey-kun be jealous of that?’
”Shut it Edward, I told y’all to let him go because we are leaving to go to the second division”, Mikey said with a little blush in his face while trying to give an authority voice. Mikey pulled Takemitchy towards him to move on to the next division, walking out with Draken right behind them.
”I didn’t even get to talk to him yet”, Kazutora said sad and annoyed.
”Don’t worry, he’s gonna be joining our division so you’ll get to talk to him again”, Baji said certain that Takemichi will choose them over the other division. Kazutora gave a small smile when he heard Baji words and went back to what he was doing.
Piece of advice, if Mikey is ever annoyed or mad do not let him hold your hand because it hurts. A lot. Surprisingly very sweaty too, but anyways - instead of constantly remembering the pain in his hand - Takemichi thought about the pros and cons about being in the first division unit. Some pros are being with Chifuyu - his favourite person - and being with people he knows he can trust. Some cons is it being the attack unit, and if you know Takemichi fighting has yet become his strong suit. Takemichi sighed that the first division may not be the best one for him, he is not looking forward to an interrogation from the first division's leader and two vice captains.
“Hey, Mitsuya!”Mikey yelled to Mitsuya, which got Takemichi to stop his thoughts.
“Hey Mikey, what brings you here?” Mitsuya asked curiously with a chill vibe.
As Mikey explained to Mitsuya why they were there, Takemichi couldn’t help but admire how cool and chill Mitsuya was. He’s like Draken but somehow cooler! Guess Takemichi was staring too long that Mitsuya noticed and winked at him, a pretty boy just winked at him. Takemichi never knew he needed that until he received it.
“ Sup Taka!”, a boy with blue hair yelled running up to Mitsuya.
Wow! Takemichi thought that Mitsuya was pretty but this boy haired boy was beautiful. He looked like a model with his tall figure and that alluring scar on his lips. Takemichi loves scars, that's why he adores the two scars on his body so much. He knows it's weird to like scars but Takemichi does not care since they are enchanting to him.
”Nice to see you again, my name is Hakkai. Gotta say it's nice seeing your face when it's not drenching with tears and snot”, Hakkai said with a smile on his face while shaking Takemichi hand. Takemichi was embarrassed to the core, he totally forgot everyone witnessed his crybaby speech. Takemichi sighed, why did two gorgeous people have to witness that?
”U-um nice to see you again too”, Takemichi said sweating and smiling at the two.
”So what do you think about the second division Takemitchy?”, Mikey asked.
”I think they’re beautiful,” Takemichi said without hesitation and was mesmerised by Mitsuya and Hakkai.
”I-I mean it’s an amazing unit that is cool”, Takemichi said embarrassed at his slip up.
Mitsuya smiled at the compliment and Hakkai blushed while scratching his head, but Mikey oh he was getting fed up.
”What about me? How come you don’t say I’m pretty?” Mikey said accusingly as if they were dating. Takemichi was getting worried at Mikey’s behaviour, so he decided to use his strong suit and tell the truth
“W-well I can’t call you pretty every single day Mikey-Kun, you would probably get tired of it”, Takemichi said with no lie in his words. Out of nowhere Mikey turned around, not facing Takemichi for a minute until turning back around with a serious face.
”Am I prettier than Mitsuya?”, Mikey said seriously.
”Well… I really love your long hair, so yeah“, Takemichi said truthfully. Mikey sticks his tongue at Mitsuya and gives a face saying ‘ I won ’, Mitsuya shakes his head at his captain's antics and walks up to Takemichi grabbing his scar hand while caressing it.
”I hope you chose the second division, Takemitchy. Me and Hakkai will make sure you feel very comfortable here”, Mitsuya said lovingly. Takemichi almost malfunctioned until he heard a loud noise behind him. He turns around and sees Draken using all his might to hold Mikey down, seeing that Takemichi knew it was time to go. He bowed at Mitsuya and Hakkai then left with Draken still holding on to a blood thirsty Mikey.
”Why did you do that, Taka? Mikey was ready to kill you that moment”, Hakkai said curiously.
”I just wanted to mess with Mikey, not to mention the boy was so cute I just had to tease him”, Mitsuya said smirking.
”Yeah I kinda agree” Hakkai said with a little smile on his face.
Takemichi had to figure out what was up with Mikey, he has gotten mad at least 3 times today every time we go to a division even though it has been 2 so far. All Takemichi had was to have a cuddle fest with the first division and have a very friendly conversation with the second division. Not to mention we are skipping the third division - which Takemichi is glad about - Takemichi thought they were skipping it because of Kisaki but no, instead it's because of Hanma.
’I don't want to deal with Hanma lanky-ass today, I do not want to see him get the moves on you, ' Mikey said sounding a little pissed off.
Takemichi thought about it until it clicked. He finally understood what was wrong with Mikey, so he ran up and grabbed his wrist which gave Mikey his complete attention.
” Mikey I understand now, I know why you have been so mad today”, Takemichi said confident with what he came up with. Mikey looked at him interested while Draken looked amused at what was going on here.
”You’re jealous, aren’t you?” Takemichi said a little smugly but overall confident especially when he saw Mikey's reaction.
Mikey was blushing hard and looked like he was about to say something, until Takemichi shushed him by putting finger on his lips.
“It’s ok Mikey I have been there before, that’s why I am telling you right now you don't need to be jealous. You can also be one of my best friends in the whole world too!” Takemichi said gently reassuring Mikey while putting a hand on his shoulder. It was silent for a very long time, until out of nowhere a loud laughter came from behind Takemichi.
Takemichi looked over to see it was Draken laughing, while falling to his knees hitting the ground. He looked at Mikey expecting to see the same confused look on his face, but instead he saw an irritated Mikey.
”M-Man that was- *cackles* a hardcore friendzone right there”, Draken said still laughing. Did Takemichi read the situation wrong or something? Before Takemichi could question what Draken meant, Mikey looks enraged by Drakens mockery.
”Huh…? Seems like you have a lot to laugh about Ken-chin, maybe I should break that jaw of yours so you can shut the hell up.”, Mikey said 100% serious which made Draken stop laughing and get serious too.
”Don’t get mad at me cause you got swerved”, Draken said with no joke in his tone. That's when in a blink of an eye, Draken flew from Mikey kicking the shit out of him but thankfully landed on his feet. That's when Takemichi knew it got too serious and stood in between them to make them stop fighting.
”G-Guys chill out, don’t fight. Mikey-kun don’t be mad at Draken, be mad at me instead since I was the one that provoked you.”, Takemichi said sincerely.
He looked at Mikey apologetic and said while bowing, “I’m so sorry Mikey-kun, I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
Mikey's eyes softened and looked regretful. Mikey calmed down and apologised to Draken about overreacting while Draken apologised for laughing at him. After they apologised, they both went back to their normal selves and started teasing Takemichi again. Takemichi rolled his eyes but smiled at the peace that had come back.
Two more Divisions left to tackle and right now the second division is winning the race. He heard the fourth division is the detective unit, which sounds so badass to Takemichi. When he was a kid he wanted to be a lot of things and a detective was one of them, no wonder he loves it when Chifuyu calls him partner. Takemichi started smiling at meeting the fourth division and once they got there, Takemichi couldn’t help but get excited.
”Hey Smiley, come over here for a second!”, Mikey said yelling which brought a guy who couldn’t stop smiling over to them. No wonder where they got the nickname from.
“Nahoya, also known as smiley, meet Takemitchy the newest member of toman”, Mikey said chilled.
”Is he a new member in my division then?”, Smiley said questioning Mikey.
”Nope, just showing him each division to see which one he wants”, Mikey said in his normal voice.
“Oooh, seems like someone is getting special treatment”, Smiley said grinning even wider with a mischievous tone. Mikey blushed and rolled his eyes at Smiley, Takemichi thought about how this guy is kinda similar to Mikey with how they both have a playful vibe.
”Wait a minute, I remember you”, Smiley pointed at Takemichi. “Your that guy cried like a fucking baby”, Smiley said in a mocking tone. Takemichi sighed at the fact that his biggest moment in the delinquent world is him crying in front of everyone. So what if he did cry!? At least nobody died from it and Mikey didn’t go full killer mode on Kazutora.
Before Takemichi could say anything, he sees a punch coming his way from the smiley guy. Takemichi closed his eyes expecting to feel a punch come his way, but he didn’t feel nothing surprisingly. So he opened his eyes to see Mikey stopping Smiley punch and having a serious look on his face.
”Come on Mikey, you gotta let me punch him until he cries”, Smiley said a little too cheerful for Takemichi liking.
“Why do you even want to punch me? I-I didn’t even do anything to you”, Takemichi said a little scared and confused.
” I like seeing you cry”, Smiley said a little sadistic. Mikey finally pushes Smiley’s fist down and shook his head while sighing, ok so maybe the 4th division is not a good idea for Takemichi.
”That kinda messed up dude”, Draken said truthfully with Mikey looking like he is forcing himself to agree.
”Nahoya!”, a pissed off guy yelled running up to everyone. He looks like Smiley put with blue hair instead of peach and very pissed off.
” Hey Souya, perfect timing meet Takemitchy the pretty crier you couldn’t stop talking about.” Smiley said while pointing at Takemichi making Souya blush at his brother truthfulness. “And this is my vice captain and brother Souya, also known as angry” Smiley said while smiling.
“HELLO, ITS VERY NICE TO MEET YOU!” Angry said screaming louder than before and bowing at Takemichi. The guy was strangely kind despite looking hella annoyed, they truly are polar opposites.
”He gets extra loud when he is embarrassed, I guess my loud mouth got him a little flustered” Smiley said smiling at his bluntness. Takemichi looks at a still bowing Angry and notice his ears are red, which surprised Takemichi making him kinda flattered by the compliment. Then out of nowhere, Smiley tries to punch him and was stop by Mikey again.
“Really Smiley”, Mikey said annoyed at the 2nd attempt.
“I wanted my brother to see the cute crier again so I just had too, you gotta understand Mikey.” Smiley said grinning sadistically while Mikey threw his fist out of the way.
That when Takemichi knew that was his two sign to leave, he nervously laughed and quickly walked out of the fourth division with Draken and Mikey behind him. Takemichi takes a quick glance at the twin to see a more flustered angry yelling at Smiley who was just laughing at his brother.
“Thanks Mikey-kun” Takemichi said grateful for Mikey saving his face twice.
”Told you I would protect you, I wasn’t gonna let anyone hurt you. I really care about you, mitchy”, Mikey said smiling and looking at Takemichi with so much gentleness. Takemichi couldn’t help but smile at Mikey’s warm words while his cheeks got hot.
”Woah, You blushing Takemitchy?” Draken said a little surprised.
”H-Huh” Takemichi touched his cheeks to feel how hot they were. He was blushing! Mikey looked at him shocked and was gonna say something, but Takemichi walked ahead from both of them not listening to them.
After walking in that awkward silence, the trio finally gets to the 5th and final base. Now Takemichi really REALLY do not think that the 5th division is for him since he heard they deal with the dirty part of toman. Like torturing people physically and mentally, that is not Takemichi cup of tea but he shouldn’t judge a book by a cover. Mikey didn’t even need to call the captains name, instead he walks up to Mikey and bows in respect of him.
”Hello commander, what brings you here today?” The dead serious guy said with respect in his voice.
”Hey there Mucho, I’m here showing our new Toman member Takemitchy to each division to see which one wanted. Unless you guys are busy ”, Mikey said chilled as ever. Takemichi gulped, he did not want to know what Mikey meant by being ‘busy’.
”Nope, not at all.” Mucho said with respect still in his voice. This Mucho guy makes Takemichi thinks he was once in the military wiTh how serious he is, but still so respectful. The other guys gave Mikey a more familiar tone even teasing him, but Mucho on the other hand gave an authoritative tone giving Mikey all the respect a commander should have.
“Sanzu, come over here real quick”, Mucho said in a strict voice. Takemichi looked at the figure moving closer to them and he stopped breathing the moment he saw this Sanzu guy. Once Sanzu got close enough for takemichi to get a good view on him, Takemichi was smitten by him.
He was tall with long pink hair, great eyes that could make Mother Nature feel jealous, and a mask covering most of his face leaving a bit of mystery from him. Sanzu had to be gods favorite by how alluring he was to Takemichi, Mitsuya and Hakkai couldn’t even stand a chance with this guy not anymore.
An angel with pink hair
As Takemichi was still admiring Sanzu, he started to notice a lot of eyes on him and realized he said the angel comment out loud. His whole face turned red at the realization, so he tries to look somewhere else but his eyes kept wondering at the beauty named Sanzu.
“Ok then, this is Haruchiyo Sanzu my vice captain so if you do get assigned here you will have to deal with him” Mucho said dead serious.
”Sanzu you remember Takemichi from the fight in Valhalla right?”, Mucho said looking at Sanzu.
“Yeah I remember how much of a crybaby he is” Sanzu said annoyed and giving an irritated look at Takemichi. Did Takemichi presence annoy him? But they just met? Takemichi was really starting to hate his past self.
”Just so you know, if you become a 5th division member you’ll most likely be crying 10x worse than you did at the Valhalla fight. Ill make sure of that.” Sanzu said getting close to his face while looking threatening at Takemichi. Takemichi did not hear the threatening words because Sanzu is at his face right now.
“Back away Sanzu” Mikey said dead and a little heart broken. Only if Takemichi noticed Mikeys heart breaking the more Takemichi looked after being mesmerized by Sanzu, Draken looked sympathetic at his heart shattering but also frightened at the jealousy brewing from him.
”Yes commander” Sanzu said with full on respect and backed away from Takemichi just as Mikey commanded. Takemichi was saddened at Sanzu backing away and sighed at not seeing the angels face up close any more.
”I want to join the 5th division!” Takemichi said full hearted while staring at a dead face Mikey. “This is the division I have chosen to join! Please let me join!!” Takemichi said while bowing.
Everyone had their own shocked except for Mikey who kept the same dead look. Draken eyes widened at the sudden choosing of the 5th division, Mucho kept his tone cold face but raise his eyebrow at the determination coming from the boy, and Sanzu whole demeanor was thrown off but his mask covered up most of his face. Yet his eyes told it all, not to mention if you looked closely at his ears or above his mask you can see it turning into a nice red. Sanzu was ready to say something but Mikey beat him to it instead.
”no”, Mikey said dead as ever. It sent shivers down everyone’s spine but somehow Takemichi found the courage to speak up.
”W-what why? I thought we came to all of these divisions for me to choose one?!” Takemichi said feeling genuinely shocked.
”I changed my mind, I’ll be choosing your division tomorrow”, Mikey said calmed while changing his who attitude to a 180. Thats when draken snapped out of his trance and got mad as hell.
”Hold on a minute Mikey, I canceled my hang out day with Emma for this shit and now you changed your mind!?” Draken said pissed.
”Calmed down Ken-chin, you making it seem like I cockblocked, you will get to your little date with Emma another day” Mikey said playful. Draken face turned bright read at Mikey comment and looked like he was ready to strangle Mikey.
Takemichi could tell with this little argument they will have to leave, but before he does he takes a quick glance at Sanzu one last time. Instead he got him turning his whole body away from the group with his head down, Takemichi sighed and brought the two bickering best fiends out of 5th division. Takemichi turns around one more time hoping to see Sanzu again and he saw Sanzu staring at him too with a ‘I’ll figure you out face’. Takemichi only smiled while blushing and waved at Sanzu goodbye.
Angels had pink hair, Takemichi had no idea
”I think that guy really liked you”, Mucho said once he saw the group out of their sight.
”Well tough shit for him, I don’t and did you hear what h said? Me? A angel? Pffft that couldn’t be further from the truth” Sanzu said heartless.
” You threatened him to make his life a miserable hell if he joins us and his response was to still join us. I believe he understood but doesn’t care. I find it cute he wants to still get close to you. Concerning but cute overall” Mucho said truthfully.
Sanzu ‘tch’ and turned around trying to hide his blushing face but mucho noticed it gave off a small smile.
A little bonus:
“HAHAHAHA THE HELL YOU DO TO YOUR HAIR!” Baji yelled while laughing at Mikey.
”Strawberry shortcake got super jealous yesterday day because Takemitchy called Sanzu a pink haired angel, so here we are now” Draken said tired at Mikey’s antics. Mikey swirled his - new dyed - pink hair getting annoyed at the constant jokes about his hair.
”Fuck off both of you, I dyed my hair not for your enjoyment”, Mikey said rolling his eyes acting like a diva.
“ Not for yours either”, Mitsuya said getting in on the action making both Baji and Draken dying of laughter. Looks like Mikey is gonna kill his own friends, but the he heard someone coming towards them and saw it was Takemichi who was chatting with Chifuyu. Takemichi looked at everyone to greet them until he stopped and stare at Mikey who was flaunting his new hair, hoping to get compliments from Takemichi.
“M-Mikey, your hair… uh it’s different…” Takemichi said unsure what to say.
”Don’t I look like an angel now?” Mikey said smugly.
” No not really” Takemichi said with certainty. Draken thought he had no more laughs in him anymore but fate proved him and Baji wrong, it was so funny that mitsuya was cracking up. Takemichi was confused on why everyone was laughing, and why Mikey would dye his hair pink.
”I like your blonde hair, it suits you better.” Takemichi said honestly while smiling with sincerity
”But I wont look like an angel” Mikey said pouting a little. Takemichi understood now and knew what to say.
“True, instead you will look more like a beautiful god” Takemichi said truthfully with his eyes shining to Mikeys heart.
”Hmm interesting” Mikey said with a thinking face.
The next day Mikey had his normal hair color on, thankfully.
