Hello diary. My name is Megumi fushiguro. I am 6 years old. I am in first grade. Today is my first day of elementary school. My teacher Mrs. wagner says we have to write in a lame journal. Apparintli it is important to write down your thots. But i will listen beecuhse I like Mrs. wagner. Her name sounds like wag, and that reminds me of my puppies beecuhse puppies wag there tails. Today I played with new people. I played with yuuji. He is japanese like me and tsumiki and gojo-san. We played with cars. It was fun but yuuji keeps on making them crash. But he is loud so i told him to stop. i think he feels bad so I will maybee share my lunch with him. For lunch tsumiki made me a sandwich i hope she didn’t put unyuns. unyuns are spycy. Maybee yuuji likes unyuns. Unyus are my most not favorite food. My most favorite food is oyakodon it is japanese so mrs. wagner you don’t know it. it is super yummy you should try it. The 30 minit timer is almost over so i will say bye now. Bye diary.

You are doing very well and are using amazing writing skills for your age! I am glad you like me :) and I also have a dog! Her name is Petal.
Make sure to capitalize the names of people, like Yuuji and Tsumiki, and capitalize the first letter when you start a sentence.
I underlined all the words you spelled wrong– but don’t worry, you are doing so well!

Hi diary. It is me Megumi. Today is Friday. I know this because Gojo-san told me when he picked me up from school. Actuly he said
Friday? More like Friyay!
it was really lame. Then we got shake shack fries for snack after school. Fries are super yummy. Tsumiki likes fries too. I am scared because Tsumiki is leaving tomorow. She is in high school now so she is going to a fancy private school. It is not super far away but she will only come back to Gojo-san’s house for Saturday and Sunday. I will miss her. Tsumiki is my best older sister ever. She says we can FaceTime before bed. I think she is a little scared but maybe a little happy too. Sumtimes I think she gets tired having to take care of me because she is also just a kid. So maybe this is good for her so she can have friends. Also I will not be alone. I have Gojo-san and Kuro and Shiro who are my puppies and I have friends like Yuuji and my neighbor Samantha. I like my puppies a lot. Today I played with them in the backyard we played fetch after we got fries. Kuro and Shiro did not eat fries that is dangerous!! After dinner me and Tsumiki and Kuro and Shiro cuddled on the super big and super white couch and watched my favorite movie Space Dogs. It is so funny I really like it. Gojo-san took a picture of us all hugging and even watched with us for a little. It will be weird living with just Gojo-san. I think he is a little nervous since he is not used to me still. But he says I am a very responsible kid and me and him will have a lot of fun. I think he is a lyar. Tsumiki gave me a new book before bed. It is called “The Magic Treehouse 1”. It looks like a lot but i like reading. Ok Gojo-san says time for bed. He is so super lame because I am not sleepy even. Goodnight diary.

Hi diary. It’s me Megumi. I learned in my new English class that you can use this sign ‘ to bridge two words together. Isn’t that kind of cool? Gojo-san was very happy that I got moved up to third-grade English. Me and him went to a fancy Japanese restruant for dinner and I ate oyakodon. It was so yummy and I was really happy! Gojo-san says he will learn how to cook real oyakodon one day. I think that day will be infinity days away. When I said that Gojo-san laughed. I am proud because I am really good at English according to my new English teacher. Her name is Ms. Wood.
This is called a paragraph because I skipped a line. I learned that too. Actually now that I am in third-grade English, I don’t have to write in this diary anymore. But I kind of like it. It is like a novel and when I get older I can read it and remember everything I did the same way I read the Magic Treehouse Books.
Ok Gojo-san says I have to sleep or else I will get eyebags and that’s not atractive. I don’t even know what that means. He’s so weird but I am glad he tries to be normal for me.

Hi diary. It’s me Megumi. Today I scrapped my knee when I was playing with Yuuji during recese recas rescs recess. We were playing tag with everyone and Yuuji was it so he obviously tried to tag me first because that’s what you do. You have to tag your best friend. He is super fast so he got me quick but I fell on the graval. It hurt but I didn’t want to cry. That would be weird because I am almost seven. When you are seven you can’t cry, so I didn’t cry. Obviously because Yuuji is the second most emotional person in my life, he started crying even though he didn't get hurt. I told him he looked a little stupid so then he stopped and helped me up.
Mr. Shawn is the recess aide for today so he let us go inside to the nurse. Yuuji said sorry like infinity times. I told him to not be stupid but I think he felt super bad because he shared his lunch with me. Yuuji’s lunches are super yummy and healthy. He likes my lunches better so we both shared. His lunch was zukini noodles. They are called zoodles. That is a really silly word to say out loud. Zoodles is kind of like a contraction but there is no ‘. It should be spelled Z’oodles I think. My lunch was a sandwich. We shared our snacks.
I am really happy Yuuji is my best friend and I am his best friend. I know this because he tells me infinity times every singel day. But today I said it back in the nurses office because I was happy even though I scrapped my knee. I told this to Gojo and he said Yuuji likes me. I told him that he is obviously deaf because I was saying the story for ten minutes. Of course he likes me. We are best friends. Was Gojo-san not listening.

Hi diary. It’s me Megumi. It is Saturday. Today was such an eventful day. I will start from the very beginning because It is a lot.
In the morning, I woke up late because it is Saturday. Tsumiki and me ate my favorite cereal Lucky Charms. Gojo-san was at work at the university and he left super early. I know this because he left a dumb pink sticky note on the fridge. Tsumiki and me played Animal Crossing and Gojo-san came home for lunch. He cooked yakisoba. He is taking a cooking class because he sucks at cooking. I would rather die than tell him that the classes are working, because the yakisoba today was actually kind of good. But I think Gojo-san could tell because I finished it all really quick and took some more. He laughed at me so I called him an idiot.
After lunch Tsumiki drove to the mall in her car to meet her friends from school. Gojo-san got her a super cool Jeep for her birthday in February but she was scared to drive it alone so Gojo-san drove a lot with her. Now she isn’t scared so that’s good. Gojo-san took me to the park nearby with Kuro and Shiro. I was really excited because I like the park. In the car Kuro and Shiro stuck their heads out the windows and I did too. I felt like a dog too.
In the park I played with Kuro and Shiro. Gojo-san went to get a coffee and some pup cups at Starbucks. We played fetch and then I walked a little far and we found a new playground. But after I read the sign I realized it was a dog playground! It was so cool. Kuro and Shiro were really excited and were playing in the tunnel and jumping in the hoops. But then when Kuro was on the dog ladder he fell and then he would not get up. I got really scared and Shiro started whining. I helped Kuro up and his right hind leg felt really weird and lumpy and it was really warm. I felt super scared then because maybe he broke his leg so I was going to get Gojo-san, but I couldn’t find him.
I was scared but I am almost seven and seven-year-old’s don’t cry. So I put Kuro and Shiro on their leeshs and we left the park. I was trying to find a Starbucks but I couldn’t. But when I was walking down the street I stopped by this place and it looked like an animal doctors office. So I went inside it was empty because Gojo-san told me 1pm is a lunch break later. So I rang the bell on the front desk and this guy with long blue hair came out. I told him about Kuro and he got a real doctor. I didn’t know there were animal doctors so that made me feel less scared.
The animal doctor said his name was Suguru and he was a vetrinarin . He was also Japanese so that made me feel better. He had black hair like me but it was in a bun. He was super nice and he told me what was wrong with Kuro. His leg is broken and I am really sad but Suguru-san put a cool cast on it and gave the dogs treats. I cried a little but Suguru-san told me not to worry and he was super nice and hugged me a little.
I told him Gojo-san’s number and Gojo-san was freaking out when he got there. He looked more scared than me he was almost crying. What a wimp. Suguru-san gave me a cool book about dogs so I sat with Kuro and Shiro on the couch in Suguru-san’s office. It is a super comfy couch. Gojo-san hugged me super tight when he got there which was really gross but then I felt bad because he was probably worried so I hugged him back a little. Suguru-san was really nice to him for being such a major loser and then I got kind of sleepy and I think I fell asleep.
When I woke up I was in the car already. Gojo-san was really quiet which is really new. Normally he never shuts up not even for a minute. I think he was scrambld a little. So when we got back inside I gave him a real hug. He got kind of sad and he said he was sorry for not being very present and said I could call him Satoru. That feels kind of weird but I told him that I would. I don’t know why he is sorry. He is lame but he is a good person for taking care of me and Tsumiki even though he isn’t our dad. Our real dad never took me to the park or cooked for us or taught Tsumiki how to drive so i told Gojo Satoru that. He gave me a big hug then. It was so icky.
It is almost 4:00 now. I have been writing for a whole two hours. My hands hurt so much, I hope they aren’t broken like Kuro’s leg. I think Tsumiki will be back soon. I am never ever writing this much ever again. I’m going to go do my homework now because tomorrow we are going to the zoo. I like the zoo even more than the park.
