Chapter Text
"Baby, come, please" your dad calls you.
You were busy with the sheep, but it's your dad, of course you will go immediately, letting the broom in there and walking to their house. He lives with your grandma, your sweet grandma, you love her and your dad equally. You live on your own house in the same farm, it's so much land, your dad agreed to build your house in there, so he can keep you close and keep working with him.
You are your dad's eyes, literally been very close since you were just a little girl. He has taught you everything you know, he build your house in the same farm also to keep you close but with the freedom you need. He would do anything for you.
"What's the matter?" you ask finding him in the house.
"Can you take these to the town?" he nods at some bottles of milk.
"I took most of these yesterday, I thought we wouldn't be giving more until—"
"New client" he follows. "A small restaurant"
"Oh" you nod. "Sure, I'll take it"
"Nice, I'll be out, by the way"
"Where you going?" you ask.
"To Joel's" your brows furrowed.
"Is he here?" you asked "Did he come back?" you're surprised.
"Didn't I tell you? He's back in town"
"What? Why?" you're genuenly curious. He left to the city a couple years ago, for a woman.
Of all of your dad's friends, he was your favorite, even if you were always getting on his nerves, you liked to do it on purpose. He's very tough, grumpy and it was funny... maybe it was because of the age, he left when you were a teenager, you've grown up now. You still have the gift he gave you for your 16th birthday, before he left.
He was your neighbor, that's why him and your dad were that close. When he left, he asked your father to keep some of his animals and he sell other ones, but he didn't sell the farm, fortunately your dad convince him not to do it. He's literally crossing the lake you have next to your house. Well, that would be where his property starts, not that his house is there.
"I'm gonna find out" your dad says.
"You gotta tell me everything, dad" you drawl.
"Yeah?" he asks. "I'm sure he will be here one of these days"
You make a face. "I hope not"
"Come on, 'm gonna tell him you miss him" he jokes, he knows how much you used to mess with Joel.
"Dad, no" you roll your eyes chuckling. "'m gonna be back, then" you say taking the crate with the bottles to your truck. Your dad helped you with the other one.
Your father gave you the direction of the place and you drove to it. Your farm is a little far from the town. Your dad gave you this truck, it was his, but you loved it so much that he agreed on giving it to you, he also tought you how to drive. Everyone in town knows everyone, as every other village.
You delivered what your father asked. You also went to your favorite smoothie shop, every time you come to make a deliver, you get one of these, even if you can do it yourself at home, with the fruit you harvest. You find Thomas —a guy you see sometimes— and his co-workers, he's a carpenter.
"Hi" he says walking to you.
You grin once you see him. "Hi" you tell the guy the smoothie you'd like to have.
"It's on me" he says and you raise an eyebrow, he pays for it. "How are you?" he asks.
You shrug. "I came to do a deliver"
"That's good" he smiles. "How's everything at the farm?"
"I got a lotta work" you sigh and make a face.
He huffs. "You must need some distraction, don't you?" you smile and roll your eyes. "I was thinking we could go to the bar on Saturday"
You huff. "Lemme see if I'm free on Saturday" you say joking. He rolls his eyes smiling.
"Will I have to convince you?"
You suck air between your teeth. "Well, maybe" the guy gives you your smoothie. "Thanks" you look at Thomas. "See you" you walk to the exit.
"On Saturday?"
"We'll see!" you chuckle and get in your truck. "Thanks for the smoothie" you raise the cup and he smiles.
Thomas is nice, he's a good guy, you know him from school, he's two years older than you, although you never even crossed a word in school. It's nothing serious, but he's nice, your dad knows him, so does your grandma, his father is friends with your dad. He stays sometimes to breakfast when you share the night, dad seems to like him, they get along, but you're no more than friends who sleep together sometimes.
On your way back home you couldn't help to wonder why Joel's back and if he's with his —now you assume— wife, which made you think that maybe he didn't marry her, otherwise your dad would've gone to their wedding. Well, maybe that's why he came, maybe he's getting married. You're so nosy, you wanna know everything.
Dad isn't home, just your granny. She was making lunch.
"There you are, angel" your granny says.
Everyone called you angel back then, your dad used to tell you that all the time, you were his angel, you love it and love the fact that granny still calls you that.
"Hi" you kiss her cheek. "I thought dad would be home by now"
"Oh, no, he says he wouldn't be here any time soon" you sigh. "But it's okay, I made lunch for us" it makes you smile, she's the sweetest.
"Thank you" you take a sip.
"You're always buying that thing" she says. "You have a garden full of fruits and you bought that thing"
You laugh. "I don't know why this tastes better than my fruit" she rolls her eyes and chuckle.
Your granny always makes sure you have food on your stomach, so she's always making things for you. She taught you how to cook, but she always do it for you cause she likes it. She knows how hard you work on the farm.
After lunch you went to finish cleaning the sheep corral. Then you went to the calves. You love the animals you have. Your dad has never been cruel to them.
You feed the animals, and make sure none of them is sick, you check them, you're not a vet, but all your life is been dedicated to animals, so you can tell when they're sick and you can call an expert in case is something serious. It was a long day and father doesn't seem to come.
You go to your house and check your phone. Thomas has texted you.
Thomas: Did you check if you're free?
You: Did you say something about convincing me?
Thomas: How can I convince you to come with me on Saturday?
You: You're smart, try something
Thomas: What if I come over tonight?
It doesn't sound bad, but you're too tired.
You: No, I'm too tired
You: I was joking earlier, I'm going on Saturday with you
Thomas: I'm picking you up at 8
You: Sure :)
It's nothing serious, never serious, not after your last boyfriend cheated on you. You hate that guy, and so does your dad, your dad is your best friend, you tell him everything —well, not every detail—, he never judges you, but he always tells you his point of view, he always gives you advice, your dad knows you're your own person. He wants the best for you. He has never opposed to any boyfriend you've had, although he's the jealous type of dad, but just when you were a teen, to make sure you wouldn't get hurt. And the last guy who cheated on you, he wanted to beat the shit out of him, but you obviously didn't let him. He saw you cry until you fell asleep, it broke him seeing you like that, cause he knew that guy was a player, he could tell, he knew he was trouble.
You did something to dinner, simple but delicious. You took a shower and throw yourself in bed. You were too tired.
By the next day, you don't have to do deliveries today, so you're gonna spend the day harvesting fruit and vegetables for you, dad and grandma. You walk inside the house of your dad and see your granny.
"Mornin'" you say walking to her.
"There you are, your dad has been asking for you nonstop since he came yesterday" you squeal excited, you wanna know everything.
"Where is he?"
"He went to the stables, with the horses"
You run to the stables. Your dad was in there, checking Joel's horse, the one he left him, but now it's yours.
"Hey" you say behind him.
"Baby" he says as he sees you.
"I wanna know everything, dad" you say excited.
"What a nosy girl" you gasp.
"Literally you raised me, so it's your fault" He laughs "Tell me" you beg.
"Nothing, he's staying, he's back" he seems happy, of course, Joel is his best friend. "He's coming to lunch so you can ask him yourself all the questions you wanna know"
Your stomach feels funny hearing that, because it's been too long. "What? No" you roll your eyes. "Tell me yourself"
"He broke up with the woman, baby girl, he seems pretty sad about it" oh, well.
"Then why are you so happy?" you ask confused.
"Well, cause he's my friend and I haven't seen him in a long time" he chuckles. "But yeah, he seems pretty... fucked up. You know how it's Joel, doesn't lke to talk about that stuff, but I can tell he's affected by it"
You nod. "Damn, that sounds... terrible" you make a face. "But I'm glad you're catching up"
he shrugs. "I wanna help him, Im giving him some sheep and some calves and Call—"
"What? No!" you whine. "Callus is mine now" now you see why he's in the stables. "Dad, you can't do that, he left and I adopted him"
"Baby girl, he asked me if I could take care of him while—"
"While what? While he was in the city with a new life?" you roll your eyes. "No, I'm not giving Callus back" you shake your head.
Your dad rolls his eyes. "I promised him I'd give Callus back"
"Well, you shouldn't have promised anything" you frown. "He's mine" you walk to Callus, to stroke his muzzle.
"I already told him" you whine.
"You should've asked me about that" you shake your head. "Dad, Callus is my horse now, I take care of him, I change his hay, I clean his place, I ride him, I call the vet for his medical checks... you can't take him away from me"
"I'm sorry, baby girl" dad never says no to anything, so Joel must have asked for his horse.
"Did he asked for Callus?" he nods, you jerk your jaw.
"Im sorry, baby, I know how much you love this horse, but it's not ours"
"Yes it is" you snap.
"Don't fight on this" he chuckles softly.
You frown. "Yes I will" you sigh. "I'm gonna get to work, daddy"
"Yeah, me too" he says.
It was exhausting, you started with the lettuce and after a long time, you're with the tomatoes, it's a good harvest. Of course, you're the one who takes care of the vegetables and fruits. You separated the vegetables you were gonna keep to the ones you were gonna give to your dad so you take them to him.
On your way to your to your father's house, you walk by the stables and see him with Callus, instead of feeling some kind of happiness, you felt the need to tell him that he can't take Callus back.
He turns around, he thinks it's your father, but instead he finds you, so different to what he remembered, but at the same time, you're not. He trails you with his eyes.
"What are you doing with Callus?" you ask furrowing your brows.
"Yeah, it's nice to see you too, kid" he says. You roll your eyes. "I wanted to see him"
Well, he didn't say anything about taking him back yet, so you won't say anything as well, maybe he thought about it.
"He's mine now" you couldn't help it.
"Yours?" he chuckled.
"Yeah, you decided to leave him" he sighs, but you don't take it back, he left and leave the poor horse alone and now he wants it back.
"I asked your dad to take care of him"
"I adopted him" you murmur. "I change his food, check him with the vet, I clean his place—" He raise his eyebrows impressed.
"Well, thanks for take care of him while I wasn't here" he says.
"Yeah well, he's mine" you say walking to Callus, so you walk to him too.
He shakes his head. "Don't worry, I ain't taking him now, maybe in a couple weeks"
"Are you out of your mind?" you ask. "You can't do that, Joel, I'm serious"
"Are you—"
"Lunch is ready" your father says interrupting you, he sees you and then Joel and... Callus in the middle. "I'll be waiting for you" he walks away.
You roll your eyes and walk to the basket. "Need a hand?" he asks walking behind you.
"I got two, but thanks" Snappy as he remembers.
He's walking behind you, also trailing you, involuntarily, you're wearing shorts, a shirt and your boots. Nice view.
He walked to your dad and you walked to your granny, to show her what you got.
"These are really good, angel" your granny says.
"I know! I thought you might like them, I also got some for me" you chuckled.
"Thanks" she says. "Would you help me with the dishes? Your dad said he would take them but I wasn't finished, since we have company I added more salad"
"Of course, come on" you say holding the dishes, your dad came to help you once he sees you.
You sit next to your grandma and they sit together. It was nice, you felt like the old times, although you didn't talk much. They were talking the most, of course, they need to catch up. And then they started to talk about boring things, which makes you leave. Dad was telling Joel that he can help him to restore his farm, like he had it before, even agreed to share some of the business so they both can distribute in the same town. Your dad is a good man.
The rest of the afternoon, you harvested the fruit, since you were done with vegetables. It was one of your favorite things. You chose the best ones to your grandma, you know how much she loves fruit. You were picking strawberries.
"And these are the fruits" your dad says behind you. You turn around and see them both. "Of course I didn't do this, it's my baby's work" it makes you smile.
"Grandma taught me how" you clear. "So it's basically her work"
"Well, she didn't plant all of this, so it's your work" your dad says. "My girl can help you if you need to"
He hiss. "I doubt she wants to, but I'll keep it in mind" he chuckles.
You roll your eyes. "You're family, Joel, you know she would, right, baby girl?"
"Yes, I would" you nod but you don't look at them.
"See?" your dad asks. "So what you think o'this?"
"You have a beautiful place" he nods.
"And you haven't seen my girl's house" he says. You chuckle, your dad built your house just as you wanted, so he's always talking about that to everyone who comes. "It took me over a year to finish it, but I did it"
"Why you didn't tell me? You know I would've helped you"
"Cause you were like a thousand miles away" he chuckles and so does Joel.
"Also, I had a little help from that friend of yours, sweetheart... Thomas, the carpenter"
You chuckled. "Yeah, I remember that"
After that, they kept talking about what they're gonna do to Joel's farm. He was your neighbor, so his farm is close to yours. They agreed to start tomorrow morning.
And that's what they did, your dad was busy all week helping him with things to re-do his house, reinforce the old structure, they both know a lot of things about that, so it was easy when they both work together.
On the other hand you've been working alone, not that it bothers you, you like it. But also, you're exhausted by the end of the week. You haven't seen Joel that much, but couldn't help to think how handsome he looks now... you must admit you always had a little crush on him, maybe that's why you liked to get on his nerves, because you liked his attention. Because it was fun and at the same time you liked how you bother him. But now you both are free to do whatever you want, he's hurt because of his ex, maybe you can make him feel better. You can't help to laugh at that thought, you don't think he sees you that way, but you don't lose anything trying.
"Need help?" Joel asks behind you, scaring you.
You turn around. "No, I got it, thanks" you nod and smile. But you didn't got it, it's a heavy piece of hay, but you hate feeling like you're bothering, even if he was the one who offered help.
He came and helped you anyways. Which you appreciated, it wasn't heavy at all for him. "That's it"
"Thanks" you grin.
"Is your father home?"
You shake your head. "I thought he was with you"
"No, I—thought we would meet here" he looks around.
"He isn't here" you murmur, you couldn't help to trail him, he's just like you remember him... but older, has more gray hair on his head and his stubble, not that it bothers you, it suits him, fine as hell. "How was the city?" you ask. "Is it nice?"
He shrugs. "I didn't like it at all"
"Why not?" you ask.
"Well, too noisy, I guess. I prefer quiet" he shakes his head. "What about you?"
You shrug. "Everything's fine, I've learned a lot"
"So your dad built your house, huh" he says and you couldn't help to smile.
"Yes, it was my birthday gift, just took him over a year" you say proudly. "Dad said he wanted to keep me in business, so"
Joel knows your dad, he didn't do it for that, he did that to keep you close. "Sure" he chuckles.
"What?"
"Nothing" he says. "You've grown" he says trailing you.
You blushed as if that was a compliment, you know Joel doesn't like that stuff, but you hoped he'd tell you something nice as a compliment, not just 'you've grown' meaning nothing. So you'll try to make him tell you something nice "Well, as I supposed to" you press your lips.
He rolls his eyes. "It was a compliment, kid"
"How was that a compliment?" you chuckle.
He sighs. "Forget it, then" you're kind of disappointed, you wanted him to tell you something nice, but of course he won't do that.
"Forgotten" you answer defeated. "I gotta keep working"
You did keep working, but he didn't left, he watched you work. He wasn't lying, you've certainly grown, you're prettier, so is your body.
"You need somethin'?" you asked looking at him.
"No, I... well, I wanted to see how it's done" he nods at the corral, since you were cleaning it and taking care of the lambs. He lies cause he wouldn't admit he's looking at you, it can be awkward.
"You forgot how?" you asked chuckling.
"Yeah... I lost practice" he says.
"Come, then" you call him.
"What?"
"Well, you lost practice and it's not gonna come back just by watching, right?" you chuckle softly. "Come"
He did, you were explaining him how to do the job, how the lambs work, what they eat, what the can't, you explained him how to change their hay, how to clean the place, he helped you do that. It was very nice, you were taking glances at each other. He lied about that but appreciated the fact that you got the time to explain him your work, it was nice.
"Hey, what is that?" he says while you were moving something.
"What is what?"
"That" he nods outside, to your house, but it's a bit far, it looks more like a cabin.
"Oh, that's my house—" you stumble with the water you just put on the floor and fell into it, making a mess of yourself. "Fuck" You whine.
"Shit" he laughs. "Are you okay?" he walks to you.
"Totally fine" you say embarrassed, you're all wet. He gave you his hand to help you stand up. "That was embarrassing" you mutter since he was laughing. Your arm is reddish by the way you fell.
"It was an accident" he says, once you're up. "You okay?"
"Yeah, it's my arm" you were looking at it.
He was also looking at it, but his eyes betrayed him, you're soaking wet, so is your top, sticky on your breasts, making them tighten on the hem of the neckline. You didn't even notice his stare, you were too busy trying to get hay out of your body.
"Jesus" you laugh too, which makes your chest raise and fall at a nice pace for his eyes.
"You okay?" he mutters.
"Yeah, totally fine" you look down taking off the hay from your arms.
"Need help?" he asks taking it off with you. "This may leave a bruise" You look at him, focused on your arm, but his eyes swaying to your chest. Then he looks at you.
"It wo—"
"Here you are" your dad says getting inside with you both. "I've been looking for you. What happened?"
"I fell on the water I just put" you sigh and he laughed. "I also was teaching Joel how to do the job" you mean the place.
"Oh, that's nice, baby" he nods at Joel.
"Excuse me, I'll go to change" you shake your head.
They nod and you walked away. Joel couldn't help to feel weird about what he just thought about you. You're his friend's daughter, of course he can't look at you that way, with lust. But you've changed, you've grown, as he said, it was a compliment. Your body has changed, just as your face.
After lunch, they went to Joel's house, to keep working, and you stayed in yours, you can't wait for tomorrow. You love Saturday's, you wake up early to go to your father's house cause granny likes to make breakfast to have in family, you, your dad and her. You catch up even if you see all week, but dad always have something to say.
You're in bed, you can't sleep, you even thought of texting Joel, you're not sure if he's using the same number... you look through it, you never really talk more than you asking if he's gonna come when your dad asked you to do it. No more than 'Happy Birthday, kid, have a nice day' or 'Ok'. You really think you have zero chance to do what you want with him. But for your surprise he's the one who texts you.
Joel: You better, kid?
You're all blushed, you gulp, you thought he didn't care, or well, you didn't think anything at all in that moment.
You: It was nothing but yes, I'm okay
You: Why?
Joel: Just asking
You: I'm good :)
You: You?
But he didn't answer, his text it was pretty much to check on you, not really to talk. But you wouldn't take that.
You: What are you doing?
Joel took a time to answer, but he did.
Joel: I was about to go to sleep
Joel: Why?
You: You texted me, I thought you wanted to talk
Joel: I just wanted to check on you
You: So you don't want to talk?
Joel: Not really
Well, that was cold, but you're cool with it. You leave your phone and get to sleep. By the next day you wake up with a text of him, which was weird, it was like 20 minutes after his previous text, just saying 'Good night kid'. You roll your eyes, you're not answering.
So following your routine of Saturdays, that's pretty much what you do, you walk to your dad's house, granny is on the kitchen so you help her with breakfast.
"Why isn't dad here?" you ask, he always help her.
"Oh, we got visit" she chuckles, you know who it is, obviously. "I was thinking maybe you'd like your granny to make you one of those smoothies you like so much, so I made you one" she says nodding at the fridge.
"Oh, you're so sweet" you grin. "Thank you granny" you hug her and then walk to the fridge to try her smoothie, it was so much better than the one from the town. "This is the best one I've tried"
"I know, you shouldn't be wasting your money on all that stuff" you roll your eyes and chuckle.
"I didn't" you mumble. "We should go together, I know something you'd like" you suggest.
"Tomorrow's morning?" she asks.
"Is it okay in the afternoon? I'm... going out tonight so" you shrug.
She gasps. "Where are you going, sweetie?"
"I'm going to the bar with a friend" you smile. "With Thomas, the one who came in the other day, remember?"
"Oh" she chuckles. "The carpenter?" you nod. "Is he your boyfriend?"
"No, granny, he's not" you shake your head. "We're just friends"
"Well, he's a good kid, you don't like him?"
"Well, I do, but I like him more as a friend" you shrug. "So, we're going tomorrow?" she nods and you grin.
"Of course, sweetie" she nods, she seems excited about it.
You both finish breakfast and take it to the garden, where you find them both, Joel and dad. You place his breakfast in front of him.
"Thank you" he mutters, you nod.
It was a pleasant breakfast, you honestly like being with them both. You always have, but now you don't know why you get to be more quiet when you're all together. Maybe it's because you don't see him in a long time, so you're shy about it... or maybe is it because you're not over your little crush on him, or a mix between those two.
"Baby, we were thinking about making a little party to inaugurate Joel's farm next weekend" dad says. "You know, so clients can come to see it and he can make deals to a future"
"Oh, well, I think it's a great idea" you smile softly. You're sure it's your dad's idea, not Joel's.
"See? I told you man" dad says, so you confirm your thought. "We're gonna share clients, I think it's a good thing" he shrugs.
Your dad really wants to help Joel to re-build his old life here. You have more than enough and his friend needs help, he doesn't mind sharing clients or so.
"Joel, you wanna try some of the fruit my baby harvested?" your dad asks.
"Sounds good" Joel answers.
"I'm getting it" your granny says and you stand up with her.
"No, baby, you already helped with the breakfast" he nods and stands up.
"But I can do it, daddy" you mumble. He walks to you.
"You already helped" he kiss your forehead. "We'll be back" he says.
It's just you and Joel, you really don't know what to say and the silence is a bit uncomfortable, so you just get your phone and scroll through it. He's looking at you, he trails you down.
"So your phone works" he drawls.
"What?" you ask confused.
"You didn't answer last night" you raise your brows.
"Well, you said you didn't want to talk" you chuckle softly. He didn't say anything. "You wanted me to answer?"
"I don't know, you kept texting" he shrugs.
"Because you texted first" you press your lips to stifle a laugh.
"Because you— I wanted to check on your arm"
"Still, you texted first" you jerk your jaw. "What's the matter with my arm though?"
"You fell on it yesterday. It looks pretty bad" he says nodding at it.
"Oh, thanks Joel, I really appreciate that nice comment about my arm" he rolls his eyes.
"That's why I asked, not that I wanted to talk" he takes a better look of you.
"Then why you just said that I didn't answer when you were the one who didn't want to talk?" you couldn't help but chuckle.
"Did you want to talk?" he asks.
You shrug. "I mean... yeah, well, yes, why not?" you admit nervously.
His lips curves a bit once he sees you nervous about that, since you're always so confident. He trails you better with his eyes. "Nice dress"
You blush. "Oh... thanks, I— was that a compliment?"
"What do you think?" he asks.
You shrug. "I dunno, you're weird"
He rolls his eyes. "You're pr—"
Dad came back with fruit, interrupting him and then he didn't leave again, so you couldn't really talk. Joel stayed in your dad's house and you went to yours.
The day was nice, you didn't do much in the farm, just checked on the animals and then you went to the lake before getting ready for tonight's.
Thomas texted you once he was coming and once he was outside your house.
"You look stunning" he says trailing you. You're wearing a short dress, tighten on your chest, accentuating your breasts, loosen on your hips, and boots. "So pretty"
You roll your eyes and chuckle. "Let's go"
He drove you to the bar you usually go, it was crowded, of course, it's Saturday. Thomas asked for some drinks and another one, and another one. He doesn't get drunk that easily, also, he has to drive you back, so he's not drunk, but you kinda are.
"Thomas, come" you say holding his hand, guiding him to dance.
Just as everyone, you both are tightened together, you're backwards to him, so he's pulling your hips closer to his inner thigh, his hands goes to your ass, he is very unsure of what to do with his hands, he's always like this, but—
"Careful" you tease leaning your head on his chest.
"Let's go home" he mutters on your ear. He sounds raspy.
"No" you chuckle. "I'm just starting to have fun" you move your hips on his lap.
You were feeling yourself, you like Thomas but you wanted to have fun before going home with him. You feel someone's stare but couldn't spot anyone. You turn around and hold his head, digging your fingers on his hair to pulling down with you.
"Can I have another drink?" you asked on his ear.
He chuckles thinking you were going for a kiss "Sure baby, what you want?" he asks.
"You tell me" you grin. "Surprise me"
He went to the bar and you walked back to your table. He take long, but he came back with a drink to-go which you find weird.
"I don't feel ready to go home yet, but I'm up to" you say nodding at your drink and maybe because the dancing, him teasing his bulge on your ass aroused you.
He chuckles softly. "Hey baby, I'm so sorry, my father's a little sick and he needs me to take him to the clinic... I already payed" your eyes widen. "Can I take you home?"
"Jesus, no" you shake your head. "Is your dad okay? You want me to come with you?"
"Yes he's fine, no worries, it's okay" he shakes his head and cups your cheeks. "Lemme take you home first, you're kind of drunk"
"No, go with your dad" you're serious about it, his dad may be in trouble. "I'm okay, I'll call my dad"
"You sure?" you nod. "I'm sorry"
"No, don't apologize, it's your dad, go" you nod at the exit.
You're worried, you can't see yourself explaining in this kind of situation, your priority will always be your dad, so you understand that he has to go now.
"I'll make it up to you" he mumbles before leaving.
You stay in the bar, you're not calling your dad, you can walk home or ask for a ride, but you don't wanna leave yet. You asked for tequila shots meanwhile you finish your drink.
"Hey" some man comes to you.
"Hi"
"Do you mind some company?" you shake your head, so he take a seat. "What you doing here all alone?"
"My friend just left" you sigh.
"Oh. Lemme invite you to something, then"
"I already asked for something, but thanks" you say with a smile.
"You're a hard one" he jerks his jaw. "You drunk, sweetheart?"
"No, I'm not" you chuckle softly. He tips your jaw so you can look better at him.
"Oh, you're the girl from the farm" you nod and smile. "Heard a lotta o'you"
"What? How?" you ask curious.
"Your dad" he chuckles. "He bring his car the other day and he was talking 'bout the farm and how you run most of it"
"You're the mechanic?" you ask and he nods. "So it's all good things about me?"
He nods. "Well" he jerks his jaw. "He didn't mention how beautiful you are" you roll your eyes and laugh.
"And how did you know I was the girl from the farm?" you ask confused.
"Well, you come to the town to make deliveries, it's hard not to look at you" he says.
"Yeah?" you ask trailing him with your eyes.
You picture cigarettes on the pocket of his shirt. "Can I have one?" you nod at them.
He huffs. "Of course" he put it on your mouth and you lean a bit so he can light it up. "That's it" he says and you raise your gaze from where you were.
"Thanks" you took the cigarette between your fingers.
"What are you doing?" Joel asks behind you.
"What are you doing here?" you ask turning around and raising your gaze. "Is dad here?" he shakes his head.
"Do you have one?" he asks nodding at your cigarette.
"Only this one" you took it from your mouth and handed it to him.
"I got one, Joel" the mechanic says to him, of course they know, before Joel left, he was from here.
"I got it" he takes your cigarette. "Thanks anyway, Derek"
"Long time, no see, Joel" he chuckles softly "We're kind of busy, man" the man says.
"Are you?" Joel nods at you.
You shake your head. "We're not busy"
"You know what, sweetheart? It was nice to meet you" the man says. "Maybe we can go out alone another time" you just nod so he can leave.
"I didn't know you were here" you say looking at him. He gives you the cigarette back.
"Saw your friend leaving" Joel drawls.
"You were watching me?" you ask in a funny way.
"You were having fun" he nods at the people dancing... so he was the one staring.
And God knows he was having fun watching you moving those hips. Never seen you like that before and watching Thomas not knowing what to do when he has such a girl moving her hips on his lap made him wanna get him out of there.
"You wanna dance?" you ask smiling.
His eyes darkens when he remember how you were dancing thinking that could be him, but— "No... you look pretty drunk, let's go home" he says.
"You're crazy. I just ordered tequila shots" you roll your eyes. "But you can leave if you want"
"And leave you here alone?" he asks. "You're drunk. Your dad would kill me if he knows"
"I'm not" you chuckle. "You worry too much about my dad" you roll your eyes. "Does he knows you're here?" you ask.
"No, but—"
"Just don't tell him, I won't" you shrug. "Go" you nod at the exit.
He didn't answer thinking your words.
"I'll call my dad, no worries" you follow.
"No" he shakes his head.
"Then take a seat" you nod at the empty chair. "Let's have fun"
He did and you both shared the tequila shots you asked for, you also shared the cigarette.
"When did you started drinking, hm?" he asks.
You roll your eyes. "I don't remember, but it was with dad" it's true. "He said if I was gonna do it eventually it was better to do it in a safe place, so" you shrug.
That's so your dad. "What about smoking?"
You hiss. "He doesn't like that I do it" you roll your eyes and chuckle. "But I do it anyways" you shrug.
He chuckles. "You want another?" he asks, cause the one you have it's almost gone.
"It's fine" you say. "I'll get another drink"
But he didn't let you ask for more. You stub the cigarette on the table.
"Come" you take his hand.
"What?"
"Let's dance" you say.
"I don't dance" he shakes his head.
"Yeah, that's fine. You don't have to, just come with me" you chuckle.
"No" he says.
You roll your eyes and went with the crowd anyways. You want him to come, no matter if he's not dancing, you wanna know if he's up to. He was enjoying the view pretty much, you look really good with that dress, you were dancing so he could see you.
Derek comes to dance with you once he sees you're finally alone, you don't really care, but Joel does.
"That friend o'yours is pretty annoying, sweetheart" you chuckle.
"I thought you guys knew each other, Derek" he trails your body with his hands and pulls you tight to him.
"Well, I just know him by name, never knew he was so nosy" it makes you laugh.
"No, he's good" he can feel your breasts pressed against his chest.
"Where you going after?" he murmurs in your ear.
"Home" you roll your eyes smiling. "Why?"
"I'm going home too" he says. "Come with me"
"I thought you said we should go out another time" he chuckles.
"Is this another time isn't?" you shake your head.
Joel stands up to look for you. He stands in front of you both.
"There you are" you say looking at Derek. "See you another time" you chuckle softly leaving the other man.
"Let's go" he says holding your hand.
You shake your head and turn around, leaving your ass on his crotch and guide his hand to your belly. "Stay like that" you mumble leaning your head on his chest to look at him.
He didn't remove his hand from your belly, he was holding your firmly and fighting with his mind the impulse of going down.
"You're drunk, pretty girl?" Pretty girl, now you think he's drunk.
"Are you?" you ask and he shakes his head. "So you think I'm pretty?" you asked, your eyes looked shiny.
You don't care if other people tells you that, you want him to tell you that, cause he never has, even if he thinks that you're pretty.
"You're drunk" he confirms.
"You didn't answer my question" you say as you move your hips on his lap, you get on your tiptoes softly so he can feel better your ass, one of his hands moves to your hips, tightening you by reflect, the other one was down your belly, his fingers almost brushing your v zone, your panties are damp by now, he knows what he's doing, sure of what he's doing, not like Thomas.
You make him feel good in there, the contact makes him feel some kind of relief he's been holding, he wants to stop you from moving cause this is wrong, but he couldn't, it feels to good being like this. You close your eyes and bite your lip once you feel something pushing your thigh, your face still looking up to him, so he can see you.
"Alright, we're going home" he says before you wake up his cock.
"No" you turn around. "You didn't answer my question" you raise your gaze.
"Let's go"
He just payed for the drinks you asked and forced you to go to his truck, not that you were opposing at all, but you wanted to dance more... although being alone on your way home could end on something else.
He started driving back home, it was quiet for a bit.
"Your little boyfriend is kind of a jerk, kid" he drawls.
"I'm not a kid and he's not my boyfriend. We're friends" you chuckle, he looks at you on his side eye.
"Well, he left you alone when you're drunk, that's not a friend either" he says.
"His dad is sick and he was taking him to the clinic" you say. "It was important" Joel sighed. "He wanted to take me home but it's too far from there, so I told him it was fine" you shrug.
He stayed in silence, so you followed. "What were you doing there anyways?" you drawl settling on the seat to look at him. "You looking for someone to have fun?"
He chuckled. "What?"
"Dad says you're sad about your ex" he jerks his jaw. "Is it true?"
"Your dad and you tell everything to each other, huh?"
"I... I asked him" you look down. "I was curious cause you came back and I thought I would never see you again, remember?"
He looks at you on the corner of his eye "I—never said I was going forever"
"No, but dad said you were so down for that woman... is it true?" you ask curious.
"Yeah well, I was" he admits.
"See? So I was curious why you came back, that's why I asked"
"It's okay" he chuckles.
"You don't feel bad anymore?" you ask softly.
"No, I don't feel bad anymore"
"So?" you asked, nosy girl. "You came to the bar for some fun?"
"Well—" he says.
"Did you just have fun?" you ask, maybe he liked your dance.
He sighs. "Just wanted to clear my mind" it's true.
"Did you?" you ask curious. "Did you clear your mind?"
"Well, no when I have someone annoying with me constantly asking me personal stuff" your face drops, you feel ashamed, maybe you were being too nosy. You don't answer for a couple of seconds, just dead silence, he noticed and realized he maybe was too tough.
"Fuck you, you were the one who came at me in the bar" you grunt. "I was fine"
"You're drunk, it's—"
"Stop" you say, but he didn't. "Joel, stop the car" you almost grit.
"What?" he asks looking at you, you're undoing your seatbelt, but your eyes are ashamed, almost watery, he can tell. He didn't mean that to hurt you. He stopped the car "Hey—" you got out of the truck and slam the door.
Fuck it, you're walking home. You didn't mean to be nosy, but maybe you were, it wasn't your intention at all, you just wanted to maybe end this on making him feel better.
He got out of the truck and run to you. "Come back" you didn't. "Come" he holds your arm.
"No" you shake your head.
"I didn't mean to hurt you" he says.
"You didn't" you snap and keep walking.
"Then come back" he says.
"I have two legs, I can walk home" so snappy.
"Your dad would—"
"Then don't fucking tell him" you cut him off. "You don't know how to keep a fucking secret?"
He shakes his head. "Lemme take you home" he says.
"If you're doing this for my dad, don't worry I do know how to shut up"
He jerks his jaw "Do you?" he says sarcastically.
Which makes it even worse, you starting to fasten the pace, but he matches it and stops you. "I wanna take you home"
"No, you need to clear your mind and I'm not letting you do it" you sound hurt. "I'm annoying you"
"No, I didn't mean it that way" he says stopping you. "It's just—" he sighs. "I don't like to talk about that"
"I don't care, Joel" you snap and were ready to keep walking but he stopped you.
"Then why did you ask about it so much?"
"Cause I thought I could maybe—make you feel better" you finally admit lowering your voice word for word.
He didn't say anything, he's not sure if you mean what he's thinking, it could mean nothing and it could mean a lot. He just know now you're upset with him. You sigh once he didn't answer and keep walking, this time with some tears.
"Jesus" he says bothered. "Is it too hard to follow instructions?"
"Is it too hard to leave me alone?" you say in the same tone, you're pretty far from his truck by now.
"Yes, when you're goddamn stubborn"
"Then just leave me alone" you grunt. "You say I'm bothering you? You were the one who came at me in the bar, I was good, I—"
"Good? That man was eating you with his eyes"
You frown "Is that a problem?" you snap.
"Yes, it is" you stay in silence "Because you're drunk" he clarifies.
"I'm not, I was having fun"
"You said you weren't busy"
"It's called being kind, Joel, you know something about that? Of course not"
He didn't answer, you kept walking, at this point you're gonna be on your house on-feet than in his truck.
"Let's go back to the truck" he says firmly.
"Jesus Christ, you're acting as if I couldn't walk" you say tired of this. "I'm an adult, I—"
"Then act like one" you frown.
"Yeah, cause I'm the one who—"
"C'mere" he says lifting you to his shoulders.
"Leave me alone" you say swinging your legs, but he didn't let you.
"As stubborn as I remember" he grunts.
You were whining all way back to his truck on his shoulders, this was the only way to bring you back but not the one to shut you up.
He leaves you on the passenger seat again and keeps you safe with the seatbelt. You sigh and bend your legs on the seat to dig your face between them.
"It wasn't my intention—" he says but you interrupted.
"I don't—"
"Jesus— just listen to me" he grumps. "I didn't mean that you bother me, cause you don't, it's just— too much" you don't say anything, just dig your face on your knees again.
"Can we just go home?" you mumble between your knees.
He doesn't answer, he doesn't feel good about this either, he knows you know he's grumpy but certainly wasn't his intention hurting your feelings or making you feel like you were bothering, cause that's not what he meant, he's just been going through a lot recently and just said that to the wrong person.
You feel so ashamed for being so nosy, you can't say anything back, you're a little drunk and feel like you were bothering, it's too much. This feels weird. The fact that he doesn't start the truck makes it even worse.
"I'm sorry" you mumble with your face still hidden. "I didn't mean to be intrusive or annoying" you sound like you're crying.
"You okay?" he tries to hold your head but you don't let him. You nod answering his question. "Lemme see you, then"
"Can you please just take me home?" you hum.
"Lemme see you first" he says. He wants to make sure you're okay.
"Why?"
"Cause I won't start driving until I make sure we're good"
"Should I walk, then?" you ask.
"Jesus" he sighs.
"I'm sorry... I know you need to clear your mind, I'm being for real right now, I can walk home" it's serious, you're not even trying to get on his nerves. You're still between your knees.
"I won't have my mind clear 'f you're walking alone in the middle of the night"
You slowly raise your gaze at him. Your lips are pouty, you're really sorry, his gaze softened once he saw you like that, you're not usually like this, you're just in a vulnerable moment because of the alcohol and how ashamed you feel.
"I'm sorry" you mutter. "I just wanted to try to make you feel better" your eyes are sticked to his lips.
"Angel, didn't do anything wrong" he says holding your head, now that he remembers you actually mean what you say, you asked him the other day if he wanted to talk when he texted you, you made conversation on the lambs corral in which you also explained the farm thing, and now you got him to dance, maybe the last one was to make yourself feel better too, but still. "You already made me feel better" he's looking at your lips too.
Is he playing fool? You wonder. Cause by now it's pretty obvious what you mean. Your face is burning, he cleans a tear running down your cheek. You seized that to reach his lips.
You feel a swarm all over your spine. Your lips are soft, too soft, just as he imagined they would be, you taste like tequila, more like a mix of alcohol. He tastes just like tequila and his stubble itches you. He holds your cheeks just for a moment, you wanted him to open his mouth but—
"Are you out of your mind?" he says breaking the kiss, gently holding you away.
"No" you shake your head and tried to reach him again but he back up to his seat.
The kiss didn't last long, but it was enough for you. You've gone too far to not try at least.
You shift to his seat, parting legs on his hips. He didn't oppose and he could stop you, but he didn't want to.
"You're drunk, go back to your seat" he drawls, holding your waist in order to 'move' you, but he only get that you settle on his lap, tight to his bulge.
"No" you mumble holding his head, trying to pull him with you, but he stopped you.
It's wrong, even if he wants it too, you're too young, you're his best friend's daughter, it isn't right. Your dad would kill him, you're his only daughter, his little girl —as your dad sees you—, you have always been his priority, his spoiled girl, he adores you, Joel knows that... but he also knows that you want this too, you've grown, you're on his lap, in his truck, in the middle of the night and also, in the middle of nowhere.
You roll your hips just a little just to see what he does. He doesn't stops you, of course he won't stop you, you feel soft in there, his mind is flying right now. He takes a better look of you, how you're heavily breathing, how tight your neckline is, he trails your body with his hands, staying on your hips so you roll them again. You hold his hands and put them on your breasts because you see how much he's staring at them, he leaves them on your breasts for a few seconds, just to feel how soft they are, he rubs his thumbs on your neckline and then he realizes how fucked up this is. He removes his hands from you.
"No, you can touch me" you say trying to take his hands but he didn't let you, he shook his head.
You tease your fingers on the straps of your dress and let them fall to your forearms. You drag your dress a little down, so the neckline falls to your waist. He's staring.
"I saw you staring the other day—" he cuts you off by tightening your hips to his bulge, making you slightly whimper.
"Jesus Christ" he groans.
You rock your hips on him, it's almost involuntary, you can feel his cock pressing on you, it makes you softly moan, he knows that he's doing, he jerks his hips at your pace and holds your waist. You both need to fuck right now. You got him hard, all aroused by hearing you moaning, all softly and needy.
You hide in the crook of his neck as you both roll your hips, just rubbing bodies, his hands finally touch your breasts, fighting the urge to drag down the bra. He's squeezing them, the fact that you have soft and squishy skin makes him almost take off your bra, meanwhile your hands are trying to undo the buttons of his shirt but you can't really focus when you feel something pressing down there.
"Fuck—" you moan on his ear. "Joel, please—"
He's about to lost it. You were about to go for your bra to undo it but his hands were faster. Unfortunately he just put your dress back on its place, dressing you.
"No, Joel, can we just—" you take his head on your hands and try to pull him with you, but he doesn't let you again, he knows if you touch his lips again it's over, he won't stop. "Why?"
He's heavily breathing, just as you are, messy hair, undone buttons of his shirt, all aroused, but he stops everything, cause it's too dangerous, you're too young, you're his best friend's daughter, a lot of things are going through his mind right now, including fucking you but still—
"Your dad would kill me" he says sharply holding your jaw between his fingers. "You know that, right?" you know he would, but you also want him.
"Don't tell him, then" you manage to say looking him in the eyes. "Don't tell"
