Chapter Text
“Ugggghhh I’m bored!!” Rin sits upside down on the couch, kicking her legs. Len is sitting next to her, practically burning in the summer heat. Luka and Gumi went out to the mall with Kaito, Meiko was out with Miku to hang out with Neru and Teto. Kiyoteru was at the park with Yuki and Oliver. It’s not like they cared, but, they still show otherwise. The rest of the Vocaloids were busy, which stumped the twins.
“Sooooo” Len attempts to spark a conversation with Rin, leaning to the opposite side of her, “Wadd’uya wanna do?” Rin pauses whatever she was doing, sitting up, which Len chuckles. “What’s so funny?” “Dude, you look stupid! You look like you’re making a ‘V’!!” Rin fixes her sitting position, pouncing onto Len. “Why do you care!?” “WAIT WAIT CHILL I DIDN’T MEAN IT LIKE THAT—“ Len jumps from the couch, running around as he yelled at Rin to calm down.
Len tries to run upstairs, but Rin grabs him from his shirt collar, almost ripping it. “RIN I SWEAR I DIDN’T—“ Len shrieks, falling back onto the ground. Just as he was about to get a great beating, Daina came down. “What’s with all this ruckus?” She stands in front of the twins, visibly confused. Len was on the ground with his arm to support him, the other on Rin’s face. Rin was pulling on his shirt collar, the other winded back into a fist. Len was definitely saved by god(Daina) today.
”Alright. What the fuck happened?” Gumi glares at the twins, who stares back in response. They’re both silent, easily told off as scared. The twins look up to Luka for support, but she was just as confused. ”Len did it first!!” Rin accuses, “No I didn’t!!” They both went back and forth between “yuh huh’s” and “nuh uh’s”, which Gumi shuts them both off. She doesn’t do anything else, getting hand cuffs and cuffing the twins’ wrists together. “You two are coming with me,” She commands, binding the two together. The twins knew what she was doing, forcing them to stand outside, pathetically, as they compensate to each other.
”I don’t wanna!!” Rin cries out, her free hand gripping the doorframe for dear life. “You are coming, Rin” Gumi demands, taking her arm, “Or do you want to do this downtown?” Upon hearing that, Rin swallows the lump in her throat, letting go and trailing a bit behind as they walked to the park. The twins were equally embarrassed, keeping their heads low.
They met with Kiyoteru, Yuki, and Oliver at some picnic tables under a tree. Yuki looks at the twins in a confused manner, tugging Kiyoteru’s sleeve and whispering something in his ear. He looks up, chuckles a bit, then pats her head. “No no, they’re not” Yuki nods, then turns to Oliver, who’s looking at the twins, confused. “What happened this time??” he asks Len, who looks up at him. Oliver was a bit unsettled by Len’s despairing face, but doesn’t mention it. “Kiyo-san, mind looking after these kids? I’m going to get something from the convenient store” “Sure” he replies, waving to Gumi as she walked away.
Yuki draws with Oliver, drawing things like cats, trees, houses, anything that’d a nine and twelve year-old would think of. Len and Rin sat across from the two, awkwardly glancing in different directions, occasionally taking peeks at each other to expect the first move.
From that day on, the twins never recalled the memory.
