Loki makes their way to the couch just outside the kitchen and Mobius stays a moment longer to look out their window at the crashing teal waves just beyond the sand path outside their home. He stares, relaxing into the morning atmosphere, before following Loki to plop down on the couch beside them. Loki leans in, resting on Mobius’ shoulder, and takes a sip of their iced drink.
“What should we do today?” Mobius asks.
“The same thing we did yesterday,” Loki answers. “Jet skis,” they whisper through a mischievous smirk, as though this paradise was some sort of plot. Mobius laughs. How could he say no to that?
His alarm clock blares, and Mobius shoots up with a gasp struggling to orient himself to his surroundings. Sweat plasters his tan TVA t-shirt to his skin, dim lights lining the floors switch on automatically with his alarm. No sunlight. No ocean waves. No Loki. Mobius takes a moment to catch his breath, he finally remembers his dream this time, and he knows all the others that had plagued him with this feeling of longing had been the same.
Or, Loki has left Mobius to 'let time pass'. What will Mobius do next? How will he get Loki back? How will they defeat Kang?
