Chapter Text
In the evening, Kitty Noir finds herself perched on a rooftop across from the magnificent Grand Paris Hotel. With a swift motion, she retrieves her baton and activates the phone embedded within it. Peering through the lens, she zooms in to catch a glimpse of Chloe through her window.
To her surprise, Chloe is dressed in a female version of Coccinelle's attire, skillfully performing tricks with her yo-yo. "Yep! I knew it," Kitty exclaims, unable to contain her excitement.
Curious about Kitty's revelation, Coccinelle approaches her with a raised eyebrow. "Knew what, Kitty?" she asks, intrigued.
Kitty Noir turns to face Coccinelle. "Oh, Coccinelle. This might sound crazy, but Alya, this girl I know, actually believes that Chloe was you. Her theory was that Chloe had transformed into a guy to conceal her true identity! And when Alya tried to gather evidence to prove it, she ended up in detention. Now, she's been akumatized into Lady Wifi and is after Chloe!" Kitty explains, her words pouring out in a rush. "I mean, we don't even know if the miraculous can change someone's gender, but this whole situation is just absurd. I'm glad I was right."
Coccinelle chuckles playfully. "Because I'm standing right before you?" he teases.
The two heroes continue to observe as Chloe throws her yo-yo, only to end up entangled in its strings and tumbling to the floor. "Among... other reasons," Kitty responds, joining in the laughter as they await the arrival of Lady Wifi.
Scene: Chloé's Room.
Chloé struggled to free herself from the ropes when suddenly her phone started ringing.
Realizing she couldn't reach it, she hopped over to her bag and grabbed her phone, answering it with a cautious "Hello?"
To her surprise, the phone emitted a dazzling pink glow. Startled, Chloé let out a yelp and instinctively threw it across the room.
In a flash of pink, Lady Wifi materialized in Chloé's room. "Well, well, Coccinelle, we meet again!" She smirked, holding up her own phone. "It seems you've transformed back into your true form."
Chloé screamed and attempted to flee, but Lady Wifi swiftly froze her in place with a pink pause icon.
Scene: Across From Le Grand Paris Hotel.
"We've got a Wifi signal!" Coccinelle frowned, exchanging a concerned glance with Kitty Noir.
Without wasting a moment, they both hurried towards the hotel.
Scene: Chloé's Room.
Lady Wifi conjured a video recording icon above Chloé and placed her arm around the captive girl's shoulder.
"Well, well, my suspicions were right all along." Lady Wifi's face appeared on screens all over Paris. "Everyone believed that the person behind the Coccinelle costume was a sweet little boy. But guess what? The real Coccinelle is none other than..." With a dramatic flourish, she removed the Coccinelle mask from Chloé's face. "Chloé Bourgeois, ladies and gentlemen!"
Just then, Kitty Noir and the true Coccinelle burst into the room.
Lady Wifi glanced at Chloé, then at Coccinelle. "Who are you?"
"Uhhh." Kitty Noir shrugged before striking a fabulous pose.
Lady Wifi turned her attention back to Chloé. "But I thought you were Coccinelle!"
"Sorry to burst your bubble, but you should fact-check next time." Kitty Noir suggested with a smirk. "And maybe find more reliable sources than conspiracy theorists."
"You'll regret this!" Lady Wifi used her cellphone to delete the pause icons, freeing Chloé, who stumbled and ended up upside down on her couch. She turned to face the heroes.
"Alya's been disconnected. I am Lady Wifi. Breaking news: Coccinelle, it's time to reveal your true identity!" Lady Wifi fired pause icons at the two heroes.
Coccinelle skillfully evades the icons, swiftly grabbing Kitty Noir's wrist as they make their escape.
"Let's move!" He takes off, leading Kitty Noir towards Lady Wifi.
The villain launches an icon towards them, but Coccinelle skillfully deflects it with his yo-yo, allowing them to flee through the door.
The duo tries to reach the elevator, but Lady Wifi hinders their path by shooting an icon at it. They quickly change course and head for the stairwell.
"So, what's the plan?" Kitty Noir asks, keeping pace with Coccinelle as they descend the stairs.
"It's simple. Lady Wifi draws her power from her phone. All we need to do is lure her into the basement and spring our trap!" Coccinelle explains.
"No service, no power. Brilliant plan, Cocci!" Kitty Noir compliments, continuing their descent.
Lady Wifi, positioned higher up, sends a pause icon hurtling towards Coccinelle, who effortlessly dodges it.
"We need to go even lower!" The bug hero urges, following Kitty Noir down the stairs.
Lady Wifi chuckles menacingly. "You're trapped now, Coccinelle!"
Coccinelle smirks. "I don't think so."
Lady Wifi was on the verge of launching another pause icon, but to her frustration, there was no signal. She let out a low growl of annoyance.
Meanwhile, Coccinelle and Kitty Noir stood side by side, their weapons at the ready, waiting for Lady Wifi's next move.
"Stay alert, Cocci," Kitty warned.
Out of the blue, Coccinelle broke the silence with a curious question. "So, when you're not being Kitty Noir, what do you enjoy doing?"
The feline superhero froze for a moment, then glanced at her partner. "Um, I guess I like shopping for clothes..."
"Cool, I'm into playing music," Coccinelle replied with a smile.
Suddenly, the sound of a door opening and closing echoed from upstairs. "Oh no! She's gone back inside!" Coccinelle exclaimed in frustration.
Without wasting a second, the duo sprinted back upstairs, only to discover that every door was now adorned with a pink lock icon.
"She's locked all the doors!" Kitty Noir observed, a hint of disbelief in her voice. "You know, it's possible that we actually know each other in our normal lives," Coccinelle suggested to his partner.
"Maybe.." Kitty said.
Finally, they reached the top door, which surprisingly had no lock on it.
"She left this one open," Kitty Noir pointed out.
"Prepare for an ambush on my count," Coccinelle warned. "1, 2, 3!"
They burst through the door, only to find themselves standing in the hotel's restaurant. Lady Wifi was nowhere to be seen, and each table was equipped with a phone.
"Well, that ambush didn't go as planned," Kitty Noir remarked sarcastically.
"Stay alert. Something doesn't feel right," Coccinelle said, eyeing the phones suspiciously as she walked past them.
Suddenly, a pink light flashed from one of the phones, and Lady Wifi materialized. She chuckled and fired a pause icon at the heroes, but they managed to dodge it. She continued to shoot pause icons at them rapidly, but they skillfully evaded each one.
"How now, brown cow! I thought it was you she was after!" Kitty Noir said, propping up a table to shield herself.
An icon was aimed at the table, causing Kitty Noir to grunt as she was sent flying back into the wall, then landing on a table and finally crashing onto the floor.
"Kitty Noir!" Coccinelle yelled in concern, before growling at Lady Wifi and hurling his yo-yo at the villain.
The yo-yo wrapped around Lady Wifi's arm just as she was about to fire an icon at Kitty Noir.
"Hey, leave her alone!" Coccinelle tugged on his yo-yo, but Lady Wifi vanished.
The villain laughed as she reappeared above one phone after another. "You can't catch me!"
Coccinelle glanced at the phones and chuckled. "Oh, but I can." He began smashing all the phones with his yo-yo.
Realizing her plan was foiled, Lady Wifi fled into the kitchen.
"Come back here! You're going to pay for hurting Kitty Noir!" Coccinelle chased after her into the kitchen.
The bug hero gasped when he saw Lady Wifi aiming a pink lock icon at him. He quickly ducked, causing the icon to hit the kitchen doors instead.
Meanwhile, Kitty Noir had made her way to the doors. "No, no!" she exclaimed as she tried to force them open, but they wouldn't budge. "Hang in there, Coccinelle!"
She activated her phone on her baton and checked the hotel map, discovering a service elevator. "Of course! The service elevator!"
She hurried towards the service elevator, determined to rescue her partner.
Scene: Kitchen.
Coccinelle obstructs Lady Wifi's icon with a pot, attempting to throw it at her, but she skillfully evades the attack.
In a swift motion, Coccinelle leaps onto the counter and propels himself towards Lady Wifi, only to find her vanish into thin air. The bug superhero finds himself cornered against the wall, leaving him vulnerable to Lady Wifi's assault. She fires two lock icons at his hands, causing him to struggle.
Lady Wifi then reactivates the video recording icon, and a projection materializes in the sky.
"Who is Coccinelle? Is he a superhero or just a superweirdo? How can we place our trust in someone whose true identity remains a mystery? We deserve to know!" Lady Wifi makes an attempt to remove Coccinelle's mask, but it appears to be firmly glued to his face. "Why won't it come off?!"
"Uh, magic?" Coccinelle responds.
Suddenly, the service elevator opens, revealing Kitty Noir.
"Your time is up, Lady Wifi!" Kitty Noir steps out of the elevator, brandishing her staff.
"Kitty!" Coccinelle's face lights up with a smile.
"Oh, how romantic. The she-cat has come to rescue her love bug," Lady Wifi taunts.
"You bet she has! And once she frees me from here, we're going to give you a good beating!" Coccinelle declares, his cheeks turning a shade of red.
"Heh-heh. Alright then," Kitty chuckles nervously, blushing herself. "Let's focus on getting you out first, okay?"
In that moment, Lady Wifi launches an attack on Kitty Noir with a lock icon, but Kitty skillfully dodges it and swiftly retaliates, sending Lady Wifi crashing into the now locked freezer.
Due to the impact, Kitty Noir's ring slips off her finger, revealing Plagg, who shivers from the cold.
Amelie, now transformed back to her normal self, gasps as she notices her missing ring. "My ring!" She frantically searches for it.
Plagg shivers once again. "It's so chilly in here!"
"Where is it? I could use a little help!" Amelie continued to look for her ring.
Scene: Outside The Freezer.
"Kitty Noir!" Coccinelle yells, struggling against his restraints.
"Well, well, what am I gonna do with both of you?" A pink butterfly outlines Lady Wifi's face.
"Get him to use his Lucky Charm." Hawk Moth advised. "It'll force him to switch back, and his true identity will be revealed. And his Miraculous will be mine."
"If you don't get her out fast, your crush will soon be slush!" Lady Wifi cackles before she removes the lock icons from Coccinelle's hands, but leaves the recording on. "Good luck with your cat popsicle! I have other news to recover!" With that she disappeared.
Coccinelle growled but focused on getting Kitty out.
Outside Le Grand Paris Hotel, Mayor André and a small group of police officers stood patiently. Suddenly, Chloé emerged from the doors, now dressed in her regular attire.
"Come on," André urged her, beckoning her to join them.
Chloé dashed towards her father, embracing him tightly. However, her joy was interrupted by the ringing of her phone. She quickly pushed her father away, answering the call.
As she did, a bright pink light emitted from her device, transferring itself onto the hotel roof, revealing the presence of Lady Wifi.
"What's up, peeps? Listen up, everyone," the villain began to broadcast. "I have the award-winning news story you've all been eagerly waiting for!"
Scene: Kitchen.
Coccinelle desperately tries to kick open the freezer door, but it remains stubbornly sealed shut with the lock icon. Determined, he exclaims, "I won't let you freeze, Kitty! I promise!"
Amelie, trembling from the cold, weakly calls out, "Take your time!"
Meanwhile, Plagg finds himself covered in frost particles, feeling the chill creep into his bones.
Scene: Hotel Roof.
"Don't blink, 'cause Coccinelle's about to drop the bomb on his real identity!" Lady Wifi proclaimed, watching Coccinelle on the screen.
"Lucky Charm!" Coccinelle exclaims, as he discovers a frozen meal. "I hope this isn't microwaveable."
Using his Lucky vision, the heroic bug spots the non-microwaveable icon on the meal box, the lock icon on the freezer door, and a microwave sitting on the counter.
Coccinelle chuckles to himself. "Luck is on my side." Without wasting a moment, he unplugs the microwave and places the frozen meal inside.
He then lifts the microwave onto a trolley and wheels it towards the freezer door. Plugging the microwave cord into a nearby outlet, he turns it on and directs it towards the lock icon, heating it up.
Amelie searches desperately for her ring in a corner. Finally, she exclaims, "Found it!" as she grabs hold of it. "Gotcha!"
The lock icon dissipates under the heat of the microwave.
"Come on, microwave," Coccinelle whispers, crouching behind the trolley. "Block the signal! Kitty's life depends on it!"
Suddenly, the microwave explodes, diffusing the signal.
"Yes!" Coccinelle pushes the trolley away and quickly opens the door. Gasping, he sees Kitty Noir standing in front of him, shivering. "Kitty Noir!" he cries out, as his partner collapses onto him, causing them both to fall to the floor.
"I'm sorry I couldn't free you sooner," Coccinelle murmurs, gently stroking Kitty Noir's blonde hair.
Kitty Noir notices his earring beeping. "You used your Lucky Charm," she observes.
"There's not much time left!" Kitty Noir warns urgently on the screen.
"Exactly!" Lady Wifi agrees.
Scene: Kitchen
"Alright, time to take down Lady Wifi!" Kitty Noir exclaimed.
Coccinelle nodded, his mind racing with ideas. Suddenly, a lightbulb went off in his head.
"I've got it!" he whispered excitedly into Kitty Noir's ear, then stepped back.
Kitty Noir grinned mischievously as she grabbed a pot from the stove.
With a giggle, she swiftly covered the camera icon with the pot, blocking Lady Wifi's view.
Scene: Hotel Roof.
Lady Wifi stared at her phone's black screen, wondering what her adversaries were planning.
Suddenly, a pink butterfly appeared, outlining the face of the villain.
"Don't let my Miraculous get away!" Hawk Moth warned.
"Of course not!" Lady Wifi replied.
Scene: Kitchen.
"I'll go and disable the Wifi antenna," Kitty Noir informed Coccinelle as she hopped into the service elevator, giving him a thumbs up.
Coccinelle pressed the down button, wishing her luck. "You've got this, kitty!"
The elevator doors open and Lady Wifi runs out.
Meanwhile, the service elevator beeps and the door slides open. Kitty Noir dodges a pink icon flying at her before getting out of the elevator and escaping through a door as Lady Wifi rapidly fired icons at her and the elevator.
In the kitchen, Coccinelle coughs as dust falls from the ceiling due to the commotion caused by the elevator.
Scene: Hotel Roof.
Kitty Noir rushes through the door and gazes up at the towering Wifi antenna. With a leap, she reaches for it, ready to unleash her cataclysmic power. However, her hand freezes in mid-air as the Wifi pole becomes enveloped in a shimmering pink electricity, revealing Lady Wifi perched on top of it.
"Nice idea, kitty cat, but I'm not gonna let you cut me off so easily!" Lady Wifi fires a pause icon at her causing her to flip away to avoid it.
Scene: Kitchen.
Coccinelle's earring emits a beep, indicating that he
only has three spots left. "Please be careful, Kitty Noir," he murmurs anxiously, his concern for his crush evident in his voice.
Scene: Hotel Roof.
Lady Wifi continues her relentless assault, hurling pause icons at Kitty Noir, who skillfully evades each one. Determined to stop her, Lady Wifi throws her baton, but Kitty Noir effortlessly evades it. To her surprise, the baton splits into two, and Lady Wifi fires two pause icons simultaneously.
Looking down, Lady Wifi realizes that Kitty Noir is dangerously close to destroying the Wifi pole. "No!" she exclaims, but it's too late. Kitty Noir's touch has already caused the pole to rust and collapse, bringing Lady Wifi down with it.
Scene: Kitchen.
The recording icon and lock icon on the kitchen doors vanish, signaling the end of Lady Wifi's control.
"Yes! I always knew she could do it!" Coccinelle exclaims with a triumphant smile, rushing through the kitchen doors to join Kitty Noir.
Scene: Hotel Roof.
Lady Wifi's recording icon vanishes.
The villain glanced at her phone, only to realize that the Wifi signal had disappeared. "Signal lost!"
"Give me that phone!" Kitty Noir lunged towards Lady Wifi, attempting to snatch the phone from her grasp, but she evaded her.
In a swift motion, Lady Wifi landed a powerful kick to Kitty Noir's chest, sending her flying backwards. She made another attempt to seize the phone, but Lady Wifi swiftly pinned her to the ground, rendering her defenseless.
Lady Wifi chuckled triumphantly, but her laughter was cut short when a yo-yo wrapped around her wrist, forcefully pulling her to the ground and causing the phone to slip from her grip.
Coccinelle caught the phone and forcefully smashed it against the ground, shattering it into pieces. The Akuma emerged and began to fly away.
"Not so fast, you wicked Akuma. It's time for purification!" Coccinelle captured the Akuma with her yo-yo. "Gotcha!" She released the purified Akuma. "Farewell, little butterfly. Miraculous Coccinelle!" She tossed the Lucky Charm into the air.
The Lucky Charm exploded, unleashing a powerful burst of energy that restored everything to normal and transformed Lady Wifi back into Alya.
"What?" Alya was left bewildered.
"Pound it!" Coccinelle and Kitty Noir fist-bumped.
"Coccinelle! Amazing! And Kitty Noir! Can I quickly interview you? Let me just grab my phone!" Alya hurriedly went to retrieve her phone.
Kitty Noir noticed that Coccinelle's earring beeped at that moment. "Uh, I have to go. You only have a minute," she informed her partner.
Coccinelle nodded as both she and Kitty Noir swiftly exited through the door.
Finally, Alya managed to retrieve her phone. "So," she turned around only to find that the Miraculous duo had vanished. "Oh no! Where did they go?"
Scene: Hotel Lobby
Coccinelle and Kitty Noir stepped into the hotel lobby. Coccinelle hurriedly dashed into a nearby room, while Kitty Noir prepared to depart. Just as she was about to leave, Coccinelle's voice called out.
"Stay!" he pleaded desperately, his earrings emitting a soft beep. "I promise, I won't reveal your identity to anyone."
Kitty Noir let out a weary sigh, her eyes filled with a mix of understanding and sadness. "I know you wouldn't, but if we can't tell anyone else who we actually are, then we can't share our identities with each other either." With that, she gently closed the door halfway, allowing Coccinelle to catch a glimpse of the outside world through a small gap.
Coccinelle's gaze shifted towards the door handle, his hand hesitating in mid-air. After a moment of contemplation, he finally mustered the courage to grasp the handle and firmly shut the door.
"Spots off..." Coccinelle said sadly, turning back into Luka.
Peeking his head out, Luka realized that Kitty Noir had already vanished. A heavy sigh escaped his lips, longing for a future where he and Kitty could be completely open with one another, free from the burden of secrets.
Scene: Outside Le Grand Paris Hotel
Amelie glanced back at the grand hotel, her thoughts lingering on the encounter inside. Plagg fluttered out of her jacket.
"That was your chance to uncover the true identity of the love of your life! What were you thinking?" Plagg inquired.
"He's not the love of my life, Plagg," Amelie responded, her tone tinged with a hint of uncertainty. "Sometimes, our hearts may lead us in one direction, but a great superhero always listens to her head." She paused for a moment, her gaze fixed on the distance. "Coccinelle can handle it, can't he?" Her words trailed off, a flicker of doubt dancing in her eyes, before she resolutely walked away, leaving the hotel behind.
Scene: The Liberty
"Is that true? You wanna tell her? Is that what your heart's saying?" Tikki asked, Luka as they lounged in his room.
"I don't know, Tikki. My head wants to listen to Kitty and keep our identities a secret but my heart wants to tell her!" Luka said.
"At least now, Alya won't believe Chloe is you." Tikki said, trying to reassure Luka.
They both chuckled, and Luka added, "I appreciate Alya and her blog, but that theory was definitely a stretch!"
Their laughter filled the air as they enjoyed their time together.
