Work Text:
The wind is howling. It’s a sound you have not heard in a while, and it excites you beyond belief. You actually get to do some groundwork for once. You get to see movement of falling stars and changing skies, not the stillness of space. You get to stride down a shopping street, flying under the radar because you’re not in First Order uniform. You don’t even mind the cold evening air. As long as you get to breathe in an actual, natural atmosphere.
The only downside is General Hux’ voice sounding from the earpiece you’re wearing.
“Lieutenant! You’re missing sight of your mark!”
You roll your eyes and move your scarf so that passersby do not see you talking. Even though you doubt anyone is paying proper attention to you.
“I got it under control. Your micromanaging is not helpful.”
“Lieutenant! I-“
“Shut up and let me do my work!” You whisper shout.
“You are forgetting yourself!”
“Another word and I take the earpiece out.”
Hux actually falls silent. You’re not sure if it’s because he’s steaming and about to explode or finally does you the favor of letting you focus on your job.
The courier just took a sharp left, into an alleyway. You’re not stupid enough to follow him inside and instead walk past it, merely glancing inside. You note several balconies above and walk straight into the next entrance.
It’s some sort of jewelry store and the merchants starts to talk to you.
“I need to see something, excuse me.” You walk past them. When they go to stop you from taking the stairs up, you put a few credits in their hand and put your finger to your mouth, signaling them to be quiet. They take them, give you a nod, and position themselves by the door as if they just decided to play bouncer.
While you hurry upstairs, Hux finds his voice and asks: “How much did you just give them?”
“Not nearly as much as Ren spent on prostitutes last week.”
You hear Hux snort.
“Did I just make you laugh?” You grin to yourself while you navigate the rooms upstairs and make your way to the balcony.
“Focus.” He replies sternly.
“Oh, so suddenly you don’t want to talk…” You glance down to the alleyway below. “I have a visual.” You say, completely serious now.
Hux can hear it in your voice and tells you quietly: “Careful.”
You crouch down, half on the balcony, half inside the building and observe the exchange. You contemplate to pull out your phaser and ambush them, but something stops you.
You hold your breath, even though the noises coming from the main street to the side and the wind are way louder.
One of them moves his long coat to the side and you see a silver spear shimmer in the moon light.
“Oh oh.”
“What? What’s happening?”
“Problem.” Is all you say, getting on all fours and crawl to the railing of the balcony, staying as close to the floor as possible, to get a full view of the man.
You were sent down here to get intel on the spice trade. The man you were following is supposedly a mule. You obviously stand corrected when you see him hand three blinking devices to the large man in the cloak. You only now, furthermore, realize that he does not simply wear a hood, hiding his face, but a helmet as well.
“Bounties.” You breathe out. “Shit. Shit. Hux.”
“Out. Now.” He sounds alert even though he barely knows what you know.
“Lieutenant! GET OUT OF THERE.”
You keep your eyes on the bounty hunter another moment and then scurry backwards and storm down the stairs, right past the stunned shop owner.
Within seconds, you are back on the main street, throwing your jacket and scarf aside, putting up your hair in a desperate attempt to alter your appearance.
You walk as fast as you can without breaking into a sprint, always making sure to navigate right through large crowds of people.
“General, it’s a man-“ A loud screeching sound makes you curse and rip the earpiece out. In the half-second you’re distracted, someone grabs your arms, spins your around and drags you around the next corner.
You rip your arm out of the iron grasp but barely get your hand on your holster when your wrist is grabbed again. “Don’t try it.” A modulated voice tells you.
You force yourself to relax into his touch to make it less painful and nod.
“Why were you tracking me?”
“I wasn’t tracking you.”
He squeezes your wrist, and you yelp.
“Really! I-“ You take a few deep breaths. You should not panic this easily. There is backup nearby. General Hux himself is probably letting all hell loose right now to get you out. But they don’t know what they are running into…into whom.
You were trained for this. To negotiate. To win time. But there is not much to win here. No one of the First Order ever made so much as a joke about running into a Mandalorian.
“The courier. I tracked the courier.” You say, trying your best to sound earnest and not like you’re making it up because you’re scared.
“Why?”
“Suspected spice trader.”
“Suspected by whom?”
You open the fist were clenching to show him the earpiece. He tilts his head, his visor not allowing you to see what exactly he’s looking at.
“You’re a lousy tracker.” He lets go of your arm.
You shake it out: “Thanks, asshole.”
“What was that?”
You point at the earpiece: “Not only do you give me wrong intel, but you also send me right into Mandalorian territory.”
You swear you hear a chuckle coming from under the helmet. Which is good, because that means he didn’t realize that you just called the backup off and warned them.
“Well…” You slowly start to back away. “Good luck with those.” You gesture towards the blinking trackers at his belt.
He nods, and you take another step backwards before you whip around and sprint in the direction of your pickup point.
“Hux!” You call as soon as you have your earpiece back in.
“Run!” He yells, surprising you with the panic in his voice. “I’m touching down in one minute.”
“Wait! What are you doing here?! He will see the First Order ship!”
“I frankly do not care.”
Panting, you run out towards the desert, the cold night air burning in your lungs. You can hear a ship approaching from above and have to keep running with the blind hope that it’s Hux and not the Mandalorian.
The ship takes sharp corners, lowering itself to the plant as quickly as possible, surely making everyone on board sick. It slows without touching down, the loading ramp lower itself. Right on the edge, Hux is waiting for you with a stretched-out hand.
Despite the buzzing of the ship, you can hear a speeder rapidly approaching from behind you. Then shot are being fired at you and you simply jump a few long steps before you lunge forwards, reaching for Hux’ hand.
He leans down even further and catches your lower arm with his gloved hand. Tightly, he holds on to you and stumbles backwards to drag you on board. As soon as you’re both fully lying on the ramp, it closes.
Breathing heavily, head spinning, you lie on the uncomfortable metal floor, the bright, artificial lights blinding you.
“Are you injured?” Hux suddenly speaks up.
Your head snaps around. He’s sitting right next to you, still holding your hand.
Slowly, you shake your head: “I’m alright. Only a bruised ego.”
His lips twitch but takes his gloves off and sternly orders: “Show me your wrist.”
“What? Why?”
“Where he grabbed you.”
With furrowed eyebrows, you extend your arm.
Hux carefully pushes your sleeve up and inspects the red stripe.
“It’s fine.”
He does not let you take it away and instead gently traces the mark with his index finger. You shiver. “Really, it’s fine.”
Hux lets out a hum, stroking the back of your hand with his thumb before he fully lets go. You immediately miss the warmth of his touch. He barely ever touched you before. And never without gloves.
“He probably found it by now, but I attached a tracker to his coat.” You say and sit up with a groan. “Mostly out of spite because he called me a shitty tracker.”
“Lousy. He said lousy.”
You shoot Hux a deadly look, but neither of you can really keep a serious face.
While you get up, you finally have a look around.
“Where is everybody?”
“Just me.” Hux informs you and gets to his feet as well.
“Huh?” Your mouth falls open.
“Descended as soon as you called ‘problem’, put the ship in autopilot when you approached.”
“No one is flying this right now???”
“It’s just orbiting.”
“Stars, Hux.” You shake your head, starting to fully grasp what he just pulled.
He tries to play it off with a sigh and walks towards the cockpit, but then turns around to tell you: “This is the last time I get you out of trouble.”
“That’s what you said last time.” You reply and follow him, quickly realizing that he does not intend to leave orbit soon but enter his quarters.
He pulls you inside, locking the door behind you, cornering you between him and the wall.
“Why do you get in trouble all the time?”
You look up at him, his uniform out of order from the catching you and pulling you on board and lying on the floor, his hair disheveled, his cheeks flushed. Never would he let other lieutenants see him like this.
“Because I really like it when you get me out of trouble.” You whisper.
He narrows his eyes, hands suddenly left and right of your head against the wall. You let your hand wander up his thigh and towards his crotch. You haven’t even made it there when you can feel the strain on his pants, and he lets out a hiss.
“This is the last time.” Hux tells you through gritted teeth. “We cannot keep doing this, we- argghh oh fuck…”
“That’s what you said last time.” You smirk and palm his dick.
“You’re awful.” He groans and smashes his lips onto yours.
You gasp and immediately push your tongue into his mouth and walk him towards the bed.
Hux turns you both around and basically throws you into the sheets. Eyes on you, raking them over you while you undress yourself, he undoes his uniform jacket and yanks is belt open.
You bite you bottom lip, and then tell him: “You know, the first time I saw you undress like this, I almost came on the spot.”
“I highly doubt that.” He replies with a smile, now only in his briefs.
“It’s true. It’s so…intense when you do it.”
Hux begins to kiss up from your stomach to your chest, licking over your nipples, nibbling on your neck, making you shiver and arch your back.
When he’s fully on top of you, lips at your ear, he asks lowly: “How come? Why when I do it?”
“You’re so…” He sucks roughly on your skin just below your jaw. “You’re so…”
He lets one hand wander down to run his fingers through your folds. “Come on, tell me and I’ll fuck you.”
“Shit, oh, stars…”
“You’re so controlled all the time. In control. Calculated…and cold. But hot at the same time.”
He glances up at you from between your boobs and you can tell that he genuinely liked to hear that.
Then he pushes into you and your head rolls back, your shared moans echoing through the room.
He grunts your name between hard thrusts, and you breathe out: “Armitage… Please, please.”
He pauses for a moment when you use his first name but then kisses you hard and deep.
“What? What do you need?”
His voice is so deep and warm and full of lust that you almost sob when you reply: “Please fuck me…all the time. Not only when I almost die.”
He finds your eyes. They are deadly focused on you.
“I thought you’d never ask.” He murmurs and kisses you again.
You kiss him back with all you have, sloppily, messy, and desperate; while moving your hips down to meet his thrusts.
“I am so deep inside, I- fuck-“
The emotionally charged exchange makes everything ten times more intense and you don’t think you ever worked each other up to orgasms so quickly.
Armitage’s hands are all over you, your thighs, your hips, your neck, as you scratch down his back and hold on to his shoulders.
“Yes!” You utter profanities and begin to shake.
“Do I fuck you well, hm?” He sucks bruises into your chest.
“Yes, yes…so good. I love it.”
“Better than anyone ever did?”
“Yes, General.” You moan, falling apart under him.
Armitage gasps and groans and his thrusts become erratic while he fucks you through your orgasm before he stills and cums with uncontrolled twitches of his hips.
You throw your arms around him, caressing the back of his neck, while you hold each other close.
Eventually, he lifts his head to kiss you gently. You smile against his lips and cup his cheek.
“Now this was the last time.” You state.
His face falls.
“I’m kidding.” You giggle.
Armitage lightly slaps the side of your ass: “I am literally still inside of you, and you already disrespect me again.”
“Hm…you better teach me some manners then.”
He smirks: “Good thing the flight back to Starkiller base is a long one.”
