Chapter Text
Tony stared unseeingly at the presentation, fighting the urge to yawn. Only the memory of Pepper's angry face and her angrier speech kept him from walking out of the meeting. He already had two strikes this week alone and it was just Wednesday, besides he was itching for a lab binge and needed to get into Pepper's good graces. He sighed quietly and slid down further in his chair, not bothering to pretend he was paying attention, FRIDAY would read him the CliffsNotes version later. His phone dinged and he looked down, eager for a distraction, but was disappointed when it was only a notification from FRIDAY. Once he opened it though, he felt even more restless, Peter was in the Penthouse and this meeting became impossibly more boring. He turned his phone over with a frown, foot beginning to tap impatiently.
~Meanwhile~
Peter trudged tiredly out of the elevator and threw his bag in the general direction of the couch before heading into the kitchen. He scarfed down 3 sandwiches before going to search the fridge where he found a smoothie with "For Peter :)" in Tony's handwriting and drank it with a soft smile before slumping on the counter. Eventually, his hard day caught up with him and he found himself craving his dad's cuddles. After sitting sadly for a few minutes, he gave in and trudged back into the elevator.
"Take me to dad please Fri."
"Of course, Babystark." Peter rolled his eyes fondly at the nickname but didn't bother asking her not to call him that.
Once the elevator stopped, he followed the glowing blue plates and ended up in front of one of the conference rooms. He stood there in quiet contemplation for almost two minutes before he finally knocked on the door.
There was a reluctant and gruff, "Come in" before he opened the door. He peeked up once but kept his eyes firmly planted on the ground as he made his way over to Tony, the room deathly silent. He stopped in front of Tony's seat and paused awkwardly before plopping down in the man's lap and turning to cuddle into his chest, curling up impossibly small and fisting his shirt.
Tony, for his part, quickly got over his shock and did his best to make the boy comfortable in his lap, wrapping his arms around the teenager and holding him to his chest.
"Mr. Stark, what is this? This is a confidential meeting, you can't mean to have a random child-" One of the men sputtered indignantly.
"He's not a random child, he's Peter and he might even be your boss if you live long enough. Peter can go wherever he pleases in this building and any of my buildings, and if he wants cuddles, he gets cuddles. This information, however, is more confidential than this meeting and is included in your NDA's, you'll do well to keep it quiet. Now, hurry this up, I have a tired baby and he'll get too fussy for this stuffy meeting very soon." Tony said nonchalantly, running his hand through Peter's hair.
"M'not a baby." Peter muttered.
"Sure, underoos. Despite all the evidence. You're not a baby. Now, shush, dad's working." The billionaire responded softly.
Peter relaxed into his father's hold, his grip on his shirt never loosening and eventually his soft snores filled the room.
Tony, wasn't any more interested in the meeting than before, but the urge to leave had lessened, after all, he had his Spiderbaby in his arms.
