No need to stop the clocks (I never have to leave you again)

Summary:

After Draco had died, Harry kept on living, but eventually everyone has to die and there is only one person that Harry never wants to leave again.
-
A tiny continuation after the epilogue of Stop All the Clocks (This Is the Last Time I’m Leaving Without You) by firethesound

Notes:

I really tried to let go, look, I really tried. So I took the right to write a continuation for the epilogue. I literally cried reading and thinking about the original story, and while writing this, so don't be mad.

Work Text:

When Harry finally dies - wearing Draco's socks and laying in his casket that is no longer empty, with the ring on his finger.
Dressed in Draco's favourite jumper and the trousers that hug his arse just right, even though he is older now - he is happy with anticipation.
Draco awaits him with open, outstretched arms, enveloping him immediately in his arms when he comes just in reach. He does not question why Harry joins him already, for he knows he would have died on the spot if Harry had died in his stead. Instead, he listens to every little detail of Harry's life that he had to spend without him.
Harry tells him about how he quit the Aurors and how Draco was right. He tells him about Hermione and Ron’s children, and how he god-parented all of them. He tells him how Pansy surprisingly visited him at Hogwarts and the awkward friendship that ensued with all of Draco's old friends.
He starts crying when he tells him about the time immediately following Draco's death, he tells him about the funeral and Draco laughs when he angrily talks about the flowers that were chosen to adorn his empty casket. How he thought there was at least his ghost left for him, how he had bought the warehouse and visited him for years until he could finally let go.
Draco starts kissing away his tears, and Harry holds him tighter. He tells him how he had tried to find love again, but how nothing could compare to Draco, nothing ever could.
But the most important thing that Harry tells Draco is that he wished he loved him sooner. That until his last breath and even beyond death, he never stopped loving him. And he never would, not even until all wizard kind had forgotten the chosen one. He would love him until there was nothing left of the world. That he was Draco's and Draco was his. Draco starts crying too when he tells him, how a lifetime of grieving and trying, was not enough to get over him.
