Rainbow Rollercoaster

Summary:

Skaura, a very talented young surgeon, moved to the other side of the continent, alongside her daughter Sarada, after a failed marriage. Everything was going great: her new job was amazing, Sarada was adapting well, her own life was stable. That is, until she has to go to a parent teacher conference at Sarada's school.

If only that teacher wasn't so god damn attractive.

Chapter 1: New Beginnings

Notes:

I'm sorry that this fic was suddenly deleted. I owe you an explanation so here it is. First of all, I didn't have a plan for this fic. I came up with the concept on a random night and decided to write it. I was coming up with the chapters on the spot, I didn't have any idea what I was going to write next. Also I wasn't very motivated because of the stress that a multi chapter fic brings. I won't delete it this time. Might go on a hiatus or something though.

Anyway I hope you enjoy this.

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

Konoha is quiet. It's big, much bigger than their old town but Sakura still feels some sense of familiarity. It's also greener and brighter. There are more kids playing in the streets, more happy couples going on dates, more birds chirping in the morning.

Or Sakura decided to be all poetic. But she's finally happy after years so, sue her. She deserves this. To be happy and wake up in the morning and see the world bright.

She doesn't appreciate waking up at six in the morning but a job is a job. And Sakura likes her job. She always loved helping people, especially kids. Being a surgeon is the best thing that happened to her in that old dull town. If it wasn't for Tsunande she wouldn't be here right now.

It took Sakura few months to get used to the new work environment but all her colleagues are great. She's not friends with everyone, of course not, but there isn't anyone she finds irritating. She still remembers having to wake up and face Kabuto every day and cringes.

School started a few weeks ago and Sarada is finally making friends. She had only a few friends before, no one she was really close with, but Konoha really brought out the best in her. There's nothing that warms Sakura's heart more than seeing her daughter being happy. Sarada was always a good student and she enjoyed going to school, Sakura is glad she'll be going with friends now.

Sakura sighed when she stepped in the apartment and closed the door behind her. She stretched her arms above her head, a few pops are heard. Sakura shakes her head and rubs hers eyes. God, I'm so fucking tired.

Sakura moves towards the living room and she hears the TV playing. Sarada is sitting on the couch with a bag of chips. Sakura walks behind her and places a kiss on her head and Sarada looks up from the screen and smiles at her all warm and soft.

"How was your day? Did the lessons start at school?" Sakura now took a sit next to her daughter who turned off the TV.

"Yeah we started working on a few small things. Just the basics though."

"How about your teachers? Do you like them"

Sarada groaned and looked at the ceiling.

"Our P.E. teacher is ruthless. She made us start running on the first day! Who does that? And! Our art teacher is probably insane. That woman looks like she eats kids for breakfast before coming to school-

"Sarada!"

"But! Our homeroom teacher is very nice. Her name is Ino, she told us not to call her by her last name, and she's very sweet and helpful."

Sakura hummed and waited for her daughter to continue but Sarada yawned and shut her eyes closed. Sakura smiled knowingly and pulled Sarada up from the couch.

When they reached Sarada's bedroom door Sakura patted her on the back and whispered her good night. Right as she was about to head to her own bedroom she heard Sarada shout something from inside her room.

"There's a parent teacher conference you need to come to tomorrow! It's at nine after second period!"

"Alright, I'll be there!"

She's not there. She's currently ten minutes late and she's just now starting to head to the school, which means that Sakura will be approximately twenty minutes late. Sakura hates being late. It's embarrassing and awkward to walk in an already crowded room when you were supposed to be there minutes ago and everyone in the room knows it. Plus Sakura always took pride in being punctual.

She tries not to think about how ridiculous she looks right now. All the kids are probably laughing at the crazy lady with the vibrant pink hair running in the halls. She's a little lost, she'll admit. Has this school always been this big?

Right when she's about to give up and do the walk of shame back to her car. A man with yellow blond hair and blue eyes pats her shoulder. She looks at him confused but he only grins at her.

"If you're looking for Ino's class we can walk there together. I'm Naruto Uzumaki."

Sakura's eyes widen when she realised that she's talking to the dad of her daughter's close friend, who also happens to be Konoha's mayor. She only nods and follows the man along the halls, glad to finally have some sort of guidance.

She walks with Naruto for a while before they finally reach the classroom. Naruto knocks and after a second a soft voice calls.

"Come in."

Naruto nudges his head towards the door he opens it and Sakura steps in alongside him.

She notices all the parents looking at her and she nods awkwardly. She also sees Sarada and Boruto sitting alone at the back of the class. Boruto jumps up after seeing his father and they both take a seat a few rows ahead. Then she turns and finally looks at the teacher.

Sakura doesn't expect her breath to get caught up in her throat. She doesn't expect her heart to beat faster at the mere sight of her.

The woman in front of her is possibly the most beautiful thing she's ever layed her eyes on. Her hair was platinum blonde, like wheat coloured silk, it was long and so soft. Her bangs covered one of her eyes. And her eyes, they were round and big and the prettiest shade of baby blue Sakura has ever seen. Mirth was dancing behind them, alluring and daring but at the same time sweet and gentle. Her skin was milky white and shining. It looked so soft it made Sakura want to sink her teeth in it and mark it up. Her face was round and soft and her lips juicy and pulm. Sakura wondered what they'd feel like pressing against hers.

Her body made her mouth water. She was wearing a turtleneck that seemed to be a tad bit too small. Her chest, much bigger than Sakura's own, was compressed by the grey fabric. Her stomach was flat and her weist was small. A perfect hourglass figure with her thick thighs that were covered by her brown pants. Sakura was sure she was blushing as her eyes travelled back to the other woman's face only to see her eyes stare right at her own.

Oh my fucking god I've been staring at her this entire fucking time.

Sakura wants to die. She whishes for a hole to open up and suck her down so she doesn't have to deal with the embarrassment -

Ino places a soft hand on her bicep and smiles at her. Sakura still wishes for death.

"No need to be embarrassed, everyone here has a job, we understand. Take a seat please."

Sakura looks down as she nods and quickly seats next to Sarada looks at her with a weird expression.

"I'm sorry I was late." Sakura whispers.

"It's fine mama." Sarada whispers back.

The rest of the conference was pretty uneventful. Ino was nice. She was very helpful, she answered all of their questions and even gave them her phone number so they can talk to her in private if they have any further questions.

Sakura doesn't want to think about the fact that she has Ino's phone number on her phone and can call her whenever she wants. Sakura absolutely doesn't want to think about how she spent a good chunk of the day fantasising about a woman. She has work early tomorrow so she needs to sleep. It's nothing serious anyway, she simply thought Ino was attractive. Anyone with eyes would think Ino is attractive, it says nothing about Sakura.

Nothing at all.

The next chapters will be longer I promise
