I witnessed the attack when I was but an innocent child, the number 503 was carved in my mind.
The great Ao3 had fallen.
I was petrified. I ran to the only place I knew I would be safe, DownDetector. But as I ran, I saw many of my comrades sucked into the dreaded wattpad universe, their screams heard from the lands of ff.net to here. In the DownDetector refuge, I met many titular characters, like ArachnidsGrip, Ur mom, and Fairydreamer to name a few. All the people I met were vivid with pride for their site. Hours went by, and news sources said it would take weeks. We waited, and waited...
Then it happened.
Finally after a day and a half, Archive of Our Own was BACK! But I would never forget our love for each other on the DownDetector.
