yuuji-kun to gojo-sensei!

Summary:

Yuuji blinks, thinking his eyes certainly have to be deceiving him, and sure enough, they aren’t.

Gojo is indeed standing in front of his door, drenched in blood.

“Yuuji~!” Gojo exclaims happily. He’s holding up a large bag overflowing with sweets, grinning widely ear to ear, as if nothing was amiss with his appearance. “There you are, my precious student!”

Any sleepiness in Yuuji’s body has completely disappeared, instead replaced with panic as he rapidly scans his blindfolded teacher’s body up and down. He screams in horror. “Eh? …EEEEEH?! SENSEI!”

or aka, yuuji and gojo are secretly dating, and nobara and megumi may or may not be a little overprotective.

Work Text:

As they finally finish handling the mission, Yuuji stretches his upper body and lets out an appreciative sigh while a satisfying pop fills the air. The moment they completely cleared the area of curses, all three of the students were already worn out and more than ready to leave.

Nobara groans and plops on the ground, tossing her hammer and nails aside. She huffs in both exasperation and exhaustion. “I am so going to kill that blindfolded idiot for putting us in this mess. What kind of teacher tortures his own students like this?”

Megumi makes a noise of agreement and sits down next to her, prompting Yuuji to break into a smile before he joins them. He admits that sometimes Gojo does assign them difficult missions, but it is for their improvement, so he doesn’t hold it against him. Yuuji hums, “Sensei’s just trying to help us get stronger. I think he’s a good teacher.”

Both Megumi and Nobara share a deadpan look, before the brunette rolls her eyes and replies. “Of course you would think that.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?” Yuuji pouts, wondering what he did to earn the blank expressions from his best friends.

When they share another deadpan look, Yuuji starts to wonder if he’s the one going dumb, until Megumi cuts in. “Itadori, you have way too much faith in people.”

“And plus, you’re definitely his favorite,” Nobara grimaces as she speaks. “He doesn’t even try to hide it but you’re too dense to realize it!” She looks over to Megumi again, who nods in agreement before he turns to look at Yuuji.

“What do you even like about that lost cause of a teacher?” Megumi asks.

It gets Yuuji to pause as he runs through his mental list of things he likes about Gojo. There’s a lot, because he admires the man, and also especially since they are dating. It’s not as if they’ve been keeping it a big secret, but neither Megumi or Nobara have ever questioned whether they were, even if they did make indirect comments about their behavior being too disgustingly affectionate to be between just a normal teacher and student relationship. “I like how kind Sensei is, and how strong and cool he is. He’s always looking out for us too and—”

As Yuuji continues rambling about Gojo, he notices they’re both physically cringing, but they let him finish before they verbally express their disgust.

“Only you could even think of that many good qualities about Gojo-sensei of all people,” Nobara scoffs loudly as she rolls her eyes.

“Just be careful around him,” Megumi sighs. “If he tries to do anything, tell us and we’ll deal with him.”

This time, the brief look Megumi and Nobara share is completely different, almost as if they were both planning to murder Gojo.

But before Yuuji can ask what it’s about, all three students notice Ijichi’s car approaching and drop it. However, unbeknownst to Yuuji, his best friends were indeed planning to murder Gojo in case the blind-folded man did try to do anything.

Yuuji yawned softly as he collapsed on his bed, tiredness sinking in from the mission they were assigned earlier. He’s grateful he decided to immediately change out of his uniform as soon as he stepped into his dorm, otherwise his sheets would be a stained mess by now. Despite it being early in the evening, all the energy in his body was completely drained and sleep would definitely be necessary if he wanted to survive Nobara’s shopping spree tomorrow.

Luckily, with the weekend about to start, he wouldn’t have to deal with any more curses or missions and after a few hours of hanging out with his friends, he could get some more well-deserved sleep. Quietly bundled up in his blanket, Yuuji can feel his eyelids growing heavier each passing second as he begins drifting off to sleep.

Until a loud knock on his door startles him from his slumber.

More consecutive knocks follow suit and Yuuji groans in annoyance from being deprived of his sleep. As much as he’d like to ignore it and go back to sleep, the person causing the disturbance clearly isn’t going away until he answers. So he sits up, half-awake, and lazily unravels his body from his blanket, making his way to the door in small steps.

“Coming!” Yuuji announces with as much energy as he can manage. He opens the door, ready to give a piece of his mind to the other person behind it for interrupting his long-awaited sleep.

However, Yuuji only sighs tiredly as he notices Gojo standing in front of him. “Sensei? What are you…”

His words begin to trail off as he notices there’s something very much wrong with Gojo’s figure.

“Eh? …EEEEEH?! SENSEI!”

“Yep, yep! That’s me!” Gojo cheerfully laughed, unbothered by Yuuji’s sudden but understandably shocked outburst. After all, it’s a given to be terrified of a man showing up to their door covered in blood, with no explanation provided. Yuuji highly doubted the blood belonged to Gojo, but it still unnerved him to an extent, especially in his half-awaken state.

“Sensei, get inside right now!” Yuuji frantically ushered him inside and slammed the door shut, startling himself in the process. Then, he turns back to Gojo, voice still high in disbelief. “What happened to you?! Are you hurt anywhere?!”

“Of course not. Are you really underestimating how strong your sensei is?” Gojo dramatically gasps, pretending to be offended.

“Not at all,” Yuuji quickly replies, flailing his hands in the air in an attempt to ensure he’s telling the truth.

“I see,” Gojo says, teasingly. “Then maybe, did you plan to nurse your beloved sensei in case I was? If it’s Yuuji as my nurse, then I wouldn’t mind one bit.”

“Sensei! That’s not what I meant either,” Yuuji stammers, face flushing into a deep shade of red. He points up and down at the white-haired man’s body. “I’m talking about that. Who’s blood is that?!”

Gojo hums lightly, eyes following Yuuji’s finger. “Hmm, well, it’s not mine, so don’t worry about it. More importantly, I bought you all these candies I know you like!” He sets the large bag on Yuuji’s bed, some of the candy spilling out onto the sheets as a result.

Normally, Yuuji would be horrified at that response and try to find out just exactly whose blood it is. However, the drowsiness from earlier is finally catching up to him again, and Gojo did buy him his favorite sweets, so he decides he’ll drop it for now. He walks over and picks off the candies on his bed, “Thank you, Sensei, but you should go take a shower.”

“I guess so. Then shall we go together, Yuuji~?”

“Sure—w-wait, what?”

Exhausted would be an understatement to describe Yuuji’s current physical state. His ideal plan of only spending a few hours going shopping with Nobara was quickly thrown out the window the moment they stepped into the mall. They’d already spent six hours there; mainly going to each of Nobara’s favorite stores with Yuuji holding all of her bags.

When she finally agreed to take a short break at the food court, Yuuji couldn’t help but let out a relieved sigh and hurriedly set down all of her bags at the nearest table from them. As he sits down, he could feel all the sore muscles in his body going limp and relaxing. Nobara takes the seat across from him and rolls her eyes.

“Oh, come on, Itadori. Don’t be dramatic, we haven’t even gone through all the stores we need to go to yet.” She says, smirking at the betrayed glare Yuuji sends her way.

“Kugisaki,” He groans. “Are you even going to wear all the clothes you bought?”

Nobara makes an offended noise. “Of course I will. Not everyone can have a sugar daddy like you and not have to worry about money. I spend mine wisely.”

Yuuji sits up straight and sputters at that, but before he can get any coherent words out, she continues. “Say, Gojo-sensei has been buying you an awful lot of candy and stuff recently, right?”

“Huh? Well, I mean yeah, but wait, how do you even know about that?”

“Earlier when I broke into your room, I noticed there was a huge stash of candy. So of course it just makes sense that it could only be Gojo-sensei’s doing.”

“You broke into my room?!”

“Duh. How else was I supposed to make sure you weren’t going to bail on me today?” Nobara states nonchalantly, leaning her arms on the table and resting the side of her cheek on her palm. “But seriously, talk about favoritism.”

“I’m sure Sensei’s just being nice.” Yuuji shrugged, replaying the events from yesterday and how Gojo had shown up to his dorm covered in blood. He’s still unaware of whose blood it was.

Nobara scoffs. “Yeah, right. Remember, if he tries to do anything to you, tell us and I’ll nail his stupid head in right away.” Yuuji starts to think that maybe it’s for the best that they haven’t caught onto the fact that he and Gojo are actually dating.

She stands up before he can say anything, gesturing to the bags. “Also, we’ve taken a long enough break already, come on.”

Yuuji lets out another loud groan.

“But that’s not fair, Yuuji,” Gojo whines, stubbornly refusing to let go of Yuuji’s body in his tight hold. “Sensei didn’t get to spend any time with you today, you were out with Nobara all day.”

“But that was because she needed someone to hold all of the clothes she bought. I’ll hang out with you tomorrow.” Yuuji offered, stifling a laugh at his childish antics. While it was true that he felt bad for not spending any time with Gojo, the muscles in his body were also sore and worn out from the many hours of shopping he had spent with Nobara.

Gojo suddenly yanks down his blindfold, exposing his ethereal blue eyes, and puts on the best puppy-dog eyes he could in an attempt to guilt-trip Yuuji. “But I want to hang out with my sweet, beloved Yuuji right now.”

As hard as it was for Yuuji to not give in, he managed to successfully pry his gaze away from those beautiful eyes. “Sensei, I really need to sleep. Plus, my back hurts.”

After a moment, Gojo slowly released his grip on Yuuji and crossed his arms. He seemed to be deeply thinking over something. Yuuji gave him a reassuring smile, but before he could say anything else, his teacher beat him to it. “Why don’t we sleep together, then?”

Yuuji tilts his head in confusion. “You mean in my bed?”

A sly smile surfaced across Gojo’s face. “Nope! In mine~!”

Before Yuuji could register it, Gojo quickly grabs him and pulls him close. In a flash, they’re moved to a large bedroom, lavish decorations and trinkets adorning the walls and filling up the space. An amazed gasp escapes Yuuji as he admires the room, everything looks so expensive and even the sheets on the bed look like they cost a fortune. He turns to look at Gojo, who chuckles at his awe and promptly lets go of his body. “Here we are!”

“Sensei, your room is so big!” Yuuji points out and Gojo chuckles again fondly, finding his student so endearing.

“And it’s all for you and me,” Gojo says cheerily.

Yuuji pauses for a few seconds before he starts blushing, quickly waving his hands up as he stammers out. “W-Wait, are you sure this is okay with you? I wouldn’t want to be a bother.”

Gojo leans closer to him. “Oh? Is that what you’re worried about? There’s no need to be, you’re never a bother to me, Yuuji.”

Eeep—!” Yuuji yells in surprise as he’s easily carried, bridal-style, trapped in Gojo’s arms. The white-haired man grins widely, tilting his head down to steal a few kisses.

“You said your back hurts, right? I want you to be as comfortable as possible,” Gojo explains, walking over to the bed and gently placing him down.

Yuuji covered his face with both of his hands, face still flushed. “You didn’t need to carry me here, Sensei…”

“Well I wanted to, my precious Yuuji is just too adorable~! I just want to hold you all night long.” Gojo swoons.

Sheepishly, Yuuji sits up and moves to make room for Gojo’s body. He glances at him shyly. “Alright… then come here so we can cuddle.”

“Oh my! So adorable~! So cute~!”

S-Sensei!”

Megumi turned to Yuuji as they finished up the mission. “You’ve been in a good mood lately.” He remarked quietly, an eyebrow raised.

“Have I?” Yuuji asked, tilting his head at the comment. Now that he’s thinking about it, he has been feeling very energetic today, which isn’t unlike him at all but still somewhat surprising. A warm, giddy feeling spreads throughout his body as he remembers how nice it felt to be in Gojo’s arms as they slept. “I’ve been sleeping better lately, so I think that’s probably why.”

“It’s not a bad thing. I was just worried at first.” Megumi mumbled before turning his head away. “...But I’m glad you’re fine.”

Yuuji grinned and pulled him in for a hug, to which he received an exasperated groan from Megumi but no attempts to move away. He beams happily. “Thanks, Fushiguro! You really don’t need to worry about me, I’m doing good!”

When he pulls away, he catches a glimpse of Megumi’s face, and Yuuji swears he sees a faint smile.

The peace between them is suddenly broken when Nobara throws a rock at Megumi and yells at the pair to hurry up.

“Here, Sensei!” Yuuji cheers, directing his chopsticks, which were currently holding an ichigo daifuku, to Gojo’s mouth.

Gojo happily complies and takes the sweet in his mouth, barely chewing before swallowing. “So good! Sensei is so grateful to be spoiled by you, Yuuji!”

Part of Yuuji is relieved to know that the shiroan he added inside the daifuku didn’t mess up the overall taste and make it come out too sweet, although when was anything ever too sweet for Gojo? The rest of him is content seeing the older man enjoy himself, so he picks up another piece and moves it to his mouth again. “This really isn’t much, but I’m glad you like it! Also, you really should chew it or else you’ll choke.”

“Hmm?” Gojo pulls his blindfold down to his neck, humming while he swallows the daifuku. “I’m the strongest, I would never—”

Suddenly, a burst of coughs start to escape Gojo as he dramatically collapses off the bed onto the floor, landing on his back with his limbs spread out. “Se-Sensei?!”

Despite the obvious fakeness of the stunt, Yuuji still panicked and rushed over immediately, moving his hand to try to check his pulse. However, with Gojo’s blindfold and uniform in the way, it made it nearly impossible for him to be completely sure. “Sensei!"

When no response comes, Yuuji hastily moves to get up so he can call for help on his phone, only to be stopped when a strong hand firmly grabbing his wrist forces him back down. He stares in shock as he realizes it’s Gojo’s hand and one of his previously closed eyes was now narrowly open, peeking up at him.

“Yuuji, when someone’s choking and you can’t tell if they’re dying, you have to perform CPR and you know, kiss them…” Gojo whispers slowly, abruptly closing his eyes again and letting go of Yuuji’s wrist, continuing to pretend to be unresponsive.

Yuuji blinks, taking a moment to comprehend everything until finally understanding the white-haired man’s motive. His face flushes completely red.

Hey! Sensei! You’re the worst!” Yuuji cries, rapidly smacking Gojo’s chest, who’s openly smiling, eyes still closed regardless of having already exposed himself. “If you wanted a damn kiss, just say so! Don’t scare me like that!”

“Aww, but Yuuji, shouldn’t you be saving your sensei right now~?” Gojo purred, tapping his lips to further emphasize his point.

Before Yuuji can respond, an irritated voice interrupts, neither his nor Gojo’s.

Instead, it’s Sukuna’s, who had suddenly manifested on his cheek. “Can the two of you not? It’s disgusting.”

“Sukuna!” Yuuji shouts, very tempted to swat at his face.

“Oh? What business do we owe to the King of Curses?” Gojo asks, propping himself up into a sitting position, resulting in Yuuji falling into his lap.

“Oi, you listen here especially! If it weren’t for my vessel being disturbingly obsessed with you for some reason I cannot fathom, I would’ve already reduced you into a pile of nothing by now. Consider yourself lucky this time and cease whatever revolting lovey-dovey shit is going on here.” Sukuna grumbled loudly.

“I—Sukuna! Go away already!” Yuuji raises his hand, about to strike at his cheek, but is momentarily stopped by Gojo.

“So overprotective~! Don’t worry, Sukuna, I’ll make sure to win your approval.” Gojo says cheerfully, wrapping his arms around Yuuji and smugly kissing the crook of his neck.

“...That’s it. Brat, switch with me.”

“Sukuna, no!”

Both Megumi and Nobara watch indignantly as Yuuji pulls out his phone to answer a text for the umpteenth time. Yuuji doesn’t even have to tell them who it is for them to already know, as it’s clear that it could only be no one other than Gojo disturbing their precious friend.

The trio had gone out to karaoke on Nobara’s demand to blow off some steam after a long day, but what they didn’t yet should’ve expected was for Gojo to be instead blowing up Yuuji’s phone. It’s been Yuuji’s turn to sing his chosen song for a while now, and he still hadn’t managed to get a single word out with Gojo constantly sending text after text.

Despite Nobara, being fed up, turning his phone on silent, the man still managed to find a way to defy all methods and send yet another text to Yuuji.

Yuuji’s not one to ignore someone, so he briefly apologizes before reaching for his phone. “Sorry guys, I’m sure Sensei’s just feeling bored and wants someone to talk to.”

“That creep shouldn’t even be a teacher. He’s so obsessed over his own student and even that’s just pushing it.” Nobara sneers, wanting nothing more than to hammer a nail in Gojo’s head.

“Why don’t you just block Gojo-sensei?” Megumi suggests, equally as weary as Nobara.

“But what if it’s an emergency?” Yuuji pouts. “I can’t just block him!”

Nobara cringed as Megumi sighed, continuing. “Since when has Gojo-sensei ever had an emergency? Even if he did, he can deal with it on his own.”

Yuuji pauses. That’s true, Gojo is more than capable of handling his own affairs, he wouldn’t have any problems in cases of an emergency. Yet, he still seemed ecstatic when Yuuji agreed to exchange contact info with him. “Well, what if he maybe chokes on something and needs help?”

“How would you be sure that he isn’t just faking it for your attention?” Nobara deadpanned.

Suddenly, Yuuji recalled the daifuku incident that happened a few days ago, and blushed down to his neck. He unceremoniously jumps to his feet and picks up the long-forgotten mic off the table. “I—I have no idea what you’re talking about! Anyways, it’s my turn, I’ll go now!”

Just as soon as Yuuji loudly clears his throat and starts the song, his phone disrupts into a loud series of buzzes.

Yuuji sings loudly and haphazardly, attempting to subtly fan away the pooling heat rising in his cheeks. Nobara shouts at him to quiet down, only contributing even more to the volume in the room, and Megumi groans, cursing himself for having to put up with their antics.

Behind the screen, Gojo whines at his texts being ignored by Yuuji for the very first time.

Gojo tightens his hold on Yuuji, who’s long since fallen asleep, and smiles wickedly to himself. As soon as he found out the reason for the sudden lack of response, he immediately vowed to make Megumi and Nobara suffer. But for now—he looks down at the pink-haired boy lying carelessly on his chest—he decides it can wait. He’ll let himself have this peaceful moment.

All worries and stress piling on his shoulders always seem to vanish immediately every time he sees Yuuji, and Gojo can feel his body relax as he currently examines Yuuji’s face. Big, warm honey eyes that are always lit up with so much kindness are out of sight behind his shut eyelids, adorned by long eyelashes and two slits underneath. Sun-kissed skin that contrasts nicely with Gojo’s paleness. His lips are slightly ajar and slick with drool, just waiting to be stolen, to be devoured

Gojo would willingly burn the whole world down to keep this precious sight all for himself for the rest of his life.

A noise snaps him out of his thoughts and looks around to regard the cause, only to realize it’s Yuuji talking incoherently in his sleep. Gojo smiles, instinctively moving his hand to absentmindedly play with Yuuji’s pink locks, but he cuts himself short when he hears his name being called out.

“Satoru…” Yuuji mumbles, and it takes Gojo a moment to comprehend he’s still in fact sleep-talking. His heart unconsciously feels significantly lighter at the mention of his name. Internally, he squeals happily, overjoyed to know that Yuuji does have dreams of him. However, Gojo’s careful to stay quiet so as to not accidentally disturb his sleep.

He opts to hum softly instead, gently burying the lower-half of his face into Yuuji’s tousled hair, hoping the movement wasn’t enough to wake him up. Luckily, Yuuji only rubs his face further into Gojo’s neck, his breath faintly warming the white-haired man’s skin.

Yuuji makes another distorted noise, before Gojo can make out more words being whined. “...Noooooo… don’t… pick that up… and eat it… Satoru… it’s bad for you… stooooooop…”

Gojo blinks, unsure whether or not to be offended by his own actions taking place in Yuuji’s seemingly odd dream. “...Yuuji, just what are you dreaming of?”

Yuuji’s eyebrows furrow, clearly frustrated, and he tightens his hold around Gojo’s shoulder. Eventually, after restlessly shifting around, he seemed to settle comfortably in Gojo’s chest, arms slowly loosening and face relaxing.

A sincere laugh escapes Gojo’s throat, wrapping both of his arms around Yuuji’s back, both confused and amused at the same time. He wishes he could have recorded it, but oh well, he can keep it to himself for now and tease him in the morning about it. He knows Yuuji will be extremely embarrassed and shocked, blushing a pretty rosy shade, likely going to be apologizing for no reason. Gojo leans down and plants a kiss on Yuuji’s forehead.

Sometimes, Gojo wishes nothing more than to engulf the world in flames, but decides it can wait as always.

“Itadori!” Nobara calls out, but stops at the doorway as she soon realizes Yuuji’s nowhere to be seen in his room. “Where the hell did he go?”

Megumi’s voice is heavy and thick with exasperation as he shows his phone to Nobara. “Just texted him. He says he’s with Gojo-sensei and will be back soon.”

“Hah?! Does that old man think he can just kidnap our best friend whenever he wants?!” Nobara shouts angrily, but deep down, she’s mostly relieved to know Yuuji isn’t in danger. Although he’s likely to be in a different type of danger, considering how Gojo is. If the way he behaves around Yuuji near his two other students is him being subtle, then they can only dread what he’s like when he’s with Yuuji alone.

“I’m sure they’re not far, he said he’ll be back soon. Do you want to wait outside?” Megumi offered and Nobara exhaled loudly, crossing her arms.

“Fine, let’s go spar then, I’m so going to kick your ass.” She states, already heading towards the training grounds.

“What did I even do?”

But before they could fully exit the building, Nobara suddenly stops dead in her tracks, forcing Megumi to do the same. She turns to look at him, pointing at one specific classroom, whose door is closed.

Megumi raises an eyebrow. “What?”

“Don’t you hear that? Or what, have you finally gone deaf from all that horrendous music you listen to?” Nobara asks, waving her hand around, gesturing to the classroom. She rolls her eyes at the murderous glare he sends her way. “Whatever, just come here.”

She approaches the room hastily, with Megumi hesitantly following behind. Nobara leans down, pressing her ear against the door and he does the same, finally being able to make out some muffled voices inside the room.

“That sounds like… Itadori and Gojo-sensei! So hurry up and open the door already!” She hissed, smacking Megumi at the back of his head.

“Why in the world do I have to do it?” He harshly whispers back, scowling at her.

“Because what if I’m wrong and it’s actually some random people?! Do you know how embarrassing that’d be?! So that’s why you have to do it!”

What?! You’re going to just put the blame on me for something you made me do?!”

“Yes! I’ll buy you food or whatever to make up for it! Just hurry up and do it already!”

Megumi loudly groaned in annoyance before standing up straight and loudly slamming the door open. Both of them looked over in shock at what they saw.

There Yuuji and Gojo were, as Nobara had suspected. Except what she did not suspect was for Yuuji to be sitting on Gojo’s lap, back to chest, their teacher’s head resting on his shoulder with his arms securely wrapped around Yuuji's waist. Both of them froze, with Yuuji turning beet red as he slowly turned to face his friends and Gojo eventually grins ear to ear, greeting them cheerily.

“Nobara-chan, Megumi-kun~! What a surprise! Is there something wrong~?” He purrs, tilting his head to rest his cheek against Yuuji’s shoulder, who is stammering and trying to come up with an excuse.

“—HAH, EXCUSE ME?! What the hell are you doing to him?!” Nobara exclaims, rushing over to snatch Yuuji off of Gojo, who whines childishly at the sudden loss of contact.

Megumi also rushes over beside Yuuji, protectively shielding an arm in front of him, glaring at their teacher and Nobara moves back to do the same. All the while Gojo only pouts, crossing his arms across his chest and leaning back into his chair.

Yuuji covers his face in his hands and looks down, face burning up from embarrassment. “Kugisaki, Fushiguro, I didn’t—”

Both of them turn back to look at him and Nobara whirls her body around, violently shaking his shoulders. “You’re not off the hook at all, Itadori! What exactly were you guys doing here?! Tell us everything Gojo-sensei did to you! Everything!”

Yuuji frantically lifts his hands in the air. “N-Nothing! He didn’t do anything! Just let me explain!”

Megumi swats at Nobara’s arm in Yuuji’s defense. “Stop trying to murder him and let him.”

Nobara stops shaking his body but doesn’t let go of her relentless grip. “You better explain right now!”

“I was going to!” Yuuji averts his eyes to the floor. “Um, well, me and Sensei are dating and—”

WHAT?!” Both Megumi and Nobara scream at the same time, simultaneously turning their heads from Yuuji to Gojo, over and over, dumbfounded.

Eventually, Nobara lets go of Yuuji and starts flailing one of her hands towards Gojo’s direction in disbelief while Megumi flicks Yuuji at the side of his head. Nobara shouts. “You’re dating this pervert?! And you didn’t even think to tell us?!”

“I’m sorry, Kugisaki! I didn’t mean to keep it a secret, I thought it was obvious!”

“Nobara, that’s so rude! How could you call your own sensei that?”

“Hold on. When and how did this happen?” Megumi cuts in, shooting a pissed glare at Yuuji.

“M-Maybe a month ago? And—I don’t know how, it kind of just did!” Yuuji says, pleadingly. “I’m really sorry if I worried you!”

Megumi’s eyes visibly soften and he sighs. Although he’ll never admit it out loud, he’s too weak against Yuuji to stay mad at him for a long time, and he’s sure it’s showing. In any other case, Nobara would definitely snicker and tease him about it. Megumi mumbles under his breath. “It’s fine, Itadori. If it’s what you’ve decided and as long as you’re happy, then… I guess… it’s alright…”

Yuuji beams and both Megumi and Nobara think about looking away, becoming overwhelmed by the brightness of his smile.

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to them, Gojo had slyly sneaked up behind them, and suddenly pulled all three of them into a tight and squished hug. “Isn’t that great, Yuuji! They approve of us!”

OI! Let go! We never said we approve! Let go already, creep!”

“Gojo-sensei, I’m going to kill you in your sleep.”

A smile appears across Gojo’s face as he watches his students attempt to pry themselves out of his arms. When it doesn’t work, and they accept their fate, Nobara huffs. “This is all your fault, Fushiguro!”

“How is it my fault?! What did I even do?” Megumi asks.

Gojo hears Yuuji laugh fondly as the two of them begin arguing, and decides that the end of the world can definitely wait a little longer.
