Tim can get overstimulated pretty easily, now just because it's easy for it to happen to him doesn’t mean it does. Or at least what he says to himself.
Tim thinks that if he doesn’t tell people something happened then it never happened for example when got “sick” last month, he tried to convince Jason that he wasn’t running a fever of 102.5–it didn’t work–Jason literally threw him over his shoulder and told him to “shut up, your sick you spleenless bastard so let me help you.”
But there are times when he will admit he needs help given those times are few and far between it’s a huge surprise to Wally when the former Robin finds his way to StarLabs. Wally was there hanging out with Barry as he has every weekend consistently since he became KidFlash. It’s also not unusual for people to just show up where their not meant to be. Take Ollie for example he will just show up at other people's places of work or their houses just because he can.
However, the last person anyone expects to show up unannounced is Tim Drake aka Red Robin and former Robin #3, but I guess everyone has surprises. Tim showed up at 2 in the afternoon looking mildly distressed and on the verge of crying. That's not normal for Tim he bottles up his emotions and pushes away his needs in favor of doing casework. Wally was quick to get to the smaller boy–god he’s small only standing at a measly 5’3 and weighing 125 pounds soaking wet, compare that to Wally standing at 6’1 and weighing 200 pounds of muscle–and check him over for any injuries.
“Hey kid are you alright? Does Bruce or Dick know you’re here? What happened?” Wally blurted out as he looked the kid over.
Barry made his way over as well putting a hand on Wally's shoulder “Wally calm down he won't be able to understand you if you talk so fast.” The young speedster took a deep breath before asking again “ Does Bruce or Dick know you’re here?”
Tim shakes his head “ ok are you alright?” Wally questioned softly, TIm looked away and gave a small “Not really” The older heroes gave small nods “Can you tell us what's wrong and what happened?” Barry murmured.
“Got overwhelmed or like overstimulated,” Tim explained in a shaky voice clearly still very overstimulated “Got hit with something on patrol last night. I must have said something to everyone because now they won't leave me alone and won't tell me what I said. So I’ve been on the verge of a panic attack all day and god I just wanna be left alone!” He ranted
“Oh, Timmy if you wanna be alone why come to the Lab?” Barry stated in a soft voice “Everywhere else I could go they would check but no one should think to look on the other side of the continent.” Tim whispered all energy from his rant gone in a matter of seconds.
Wally pulled TIm with him as he walked over to the couch that was set up in the corner of the room while Barry went off to get something. He settled himself down on one end of the couch and then maneuvered Tim to be laying with his head on the older’s lap, he let out a content sigh turning onto his side to cuddle into Wally’s stomach earning him a small chuckle and fingers running through his hair.
Not too long later does Barry come back into the room with a blanket and some headphones. “Hey, Tim could you put these on for me? Their noise-canceling headphones Cisco made they’ll stop you from heading anything.” the oldest speedster whispered to the kid. He just got a nod before the headphones are taken from his hands before being replaced with the now-empty case. He then draped the blanket over the child–it's a weighted blanket, Dicks favorite blanket that Wally stole from him, and he's never getting it back.
“ Hey, Barry can you turn off the Zeta from here to Gotham?” Wally asked with a sly smirk laced over his face. Barry gave him a very similar face with a simple “absolutely.”
Later Barry posted a picture of Wally and Tim asleep on the couch–faces blurred–with Tim laying on Wally’s chest while Wally is laying with his arms around Tim protectively to his Twitter with the caption of “He’s our birdy now <3”. He tagged Batman, Nightwing, Redhood, Robin, KidFlash, and RedRobin in it.
