Chapter Text
“You’re staring.” The blonde-haired girl states with a tease.
Karma looks at the girl who spoke those words with a “ Fuck off” glint in his eyes.
“Just admit it. You like her.” the girl said.
“I don’t have to admit anything.” The redhead said in an annoyed voice.
“Whatever you say, Karma,” the blonde head said while rolling her eyes and walking away.
“Piss off, Rio,” Karma said while flipping her off and walking to the twin-braided girl Karma and Rio were talking about.
Karma put his hand over the girl and said, “Guess who.”
“Karma?” The girl guessed. And Karma took his hands off her eyes and put them lightly around her shoulders.
“Bingo! Good job Okuda.” Karma slurred the words out as if he were a cat.
Okuda laughed and asked, “You ready to go?”
“Ready as always,” Karma answered.
And Karma couldn’t help how he felt when Okuda turned around and looked at him with that sparkle in her violet eyes.
On the Way There.
Karma and Okuda were on their way to the train station, but the number of people at the station made it known that they probably would have to stand when they got on the train.
As Karma was holding the strap, he felt something on his chest and looked down to find Okuda pressed up against it, and Karma decided to grab her by the waist out of the pure want of keeping her close by.
Okuda had a blush creeping up to her cheeks. She wasn’t expecting the boy to grab her.
Then the train header stated that the train was about to reach Karma and Okuda’s stop, so the boy and girl got ready to leave.
After they got off, there happened to be a rock on the sidewalk, and of course, Okuda had to fall. Karma caught her but ended up tripping himself. This wouldn’t be a problem If it wasn't for the sight above him.
Okuda’s braids were hanging over Karma, as Okuda had Karma caged in between her arms. The light from the sun was hitting her face just right, and Karma could’ve sworn he saw an angel from heaven that very moment.
“I’m sorry, Karma are you okay?” Okuda asked with a worried tone
“Uh, Yeah, I’m fine,” Karma answered with a stutter, and Karma moved Okuda next to him and stood up as she followed.
“Let’s go,” Karma said, and all Karma could think was, "What the hell is this funny feeling in my gut” as he and Okuda went on their way.
At the Mall
“ So, what did you want to get?” Karma asked the girl.
But suddenly, the girl ran straight to her target, and Karma stood there for a second before following her.
“ Dang, what is over here that is SO-” Karma was cut off by what or who was in the store.
Standing there was Bill Nye, Okuda’s childhood hero teaching a lesson about the FORCES OF GRAVITY to small children.
“ Oh, My God. Karma, that’s him.” Okuda said with much enthusiasm.
And Karma felt a hint of jealousy seeing how she looked so excited to see Bill Nye because Karma wanted her to look at him with the same excitement. Then Karma realized how much he wanted the twin-braided girl's attention.
“Yeah,” Karma said with his voice filled with boredom.
“What’s wrong, Karma?” Manami asked.
“Huh?” Karma said and answered with, “ Oh, nothing.”
“ Ok, should I ask for an autograph?” Manami asked the redhead
“If that’s what you want,” Karma replied.
And it didn’t go unnoticed how Karma sounded annoyed, all of Karma’s brain was running wild trying to figure out why he wanted the girl’s attention and why he wanted to have her close to him at all times, but Karma decides that those questions are not important right now. So he chases after her.
