“Hey! Cody give that back!! Chefffff! Cody took my eeeeegg!!!”
”No I did not!! I jutht found it firtht!”
It was Easter Sunday and the daycare was open for some unknown reasons. All of the kids were doing an egg hunt.
Courtney had found an egg behind a bush and went to grab it, but was surprised by another little hand snatching it first.
”Finderth keeperth- thorry!” Cody had a horrible lisp- seeing as his two front teeth had both fallen out early.
”Hey! No faaaaair, give that back!!!” Courtney lunges at Cody- only to tumble past him. Noah had leapt out of the bushes and tackled Cody, rolling with him for a few feet.
”heheh woah Noah! You were like- like craaaaazy fast! You came in and were like whoosh! And pow! And ph-shawwww!” Cody exasperates as he sits up, using his hands to gesture excitedly.
“Pffft- it was nothing!” Noah shrugs as he too gets up, and reaches out his hand for Cody to let himself up with.
Instead of helping Cody up, Noah gets pulled down and brought into a big squeezing hug.
”Whaaa?! NO! You were thuper cool!”
”Hahaha! Really? D’ya think so?”
”UHM, YA?!- here! One thecond, lemme jutht…” Cody gets up and rushes back inside the daycare. A moment later he runs back and sits back down on the grass with Noah.
”Hehheheh! I think you’re thoooo cool that I’m gonna marry you when we grow up!”
”W-what?!”
”Yup! And I promithe to put bandaidth on aaaaaall your boo booth! And I’ll give you hugth whenever you’re thad!” Cody pulls a green wrapper from his pocket. He rips it open and reveals a ring pop, with it he slides it on Noah’s finger. Noah giggles and kisses Cody’s cheek.
”Alright, well, we should probably try to find some more eggs now.”
And with that they picked up their Easter baskets and walked off to tag-team try to find more eggs.
