Work Text:
"It's really nice having some time with you, Lippie." Jinsol spoke, sitting down on Jungeun's couch.
"It really is. I wish we had the chance to do this more often." Jungeun smiled, sitting beside Jinsol and stretching her legs out.
Jinsol was at Jungeuns alone for the first time in ages. Usually, they'd always spend time together alone as they were the first who were friends in their friendship group. However, since they became friends with ten other girls, they rarely got to spend time alone anymore as at least three others would insist on going too.
"I've missed just us." Jinsol smiled, resting her head on Jungeuns shoulder. "I've missed you."
"You see me daily, dummy." Jungeun giggled, trying to ignore the fluttering in her heart as Jinsol said that.
"Yes, but we don't get the chance to hang out and be like how we used to that often anymore." Jinsol replied, meeting Jungeun's eyes. "We've been friends for years, since children, yet we never have the chance for it to be just us."
Jungeun nodded. "I do miss it too."
"See! I'm not the only one." Jinsol smirked and stuck her tongue out at Jungeun.
"I- um need to shower." Jungeun said. "I know you just got here, but I didn't have time in the morning."
"You want me to shower with you?" Jinsol asked, giggling slightly as she watched Jungeun gasp and blush.
"No. We don't do that anymore." Jungeun said, standing up.
"Meanie. We did it all the time as kids!"
"Yeah. As kids, Sol. We've grown up."
"Meaaannnieeeeee." Jinsol faked a pout and grabbed Jungeuns wrist, pulling her onto her lap. She gave her a hug and tickled her.
"Sol, maybe next time." Jungeun chuckled and tried to get away from the elder girl. "Do what you want while I shower, I guess. Snacks are in the-"
"I know where everything is dumbass. You've lived here since you were a kid. I probably know this place better than you do." Jinsol chuckled and playfully pushed Jungeun off of her and walked into the kitchen.
Jungeun had, yes, lived in the same apartment ever since she was born. Her family had never been that well off. They couldn't afford much, so they lived in a small place. They had been planning to move to a house until Jungeuns mother left her when she was 5, meaning her dad had to take care of her alone. He couldn't work full time because he was raising Jungeun, so they had to stay in apartment Jungeun was still living in. When Jungeun turned 19, her father passed away, and Jungeun didn't have the heart to move out of her childhood home.
Ever since Jungeun and Jinsol became friends at the age of 4, Jinsol seemed to always be at Jungeuns house. It was her second home, and Jungeuns father had made it obvious that she could stay whenever. The only reason Jinsol didn't live with her right then was because her parents were paying for her to live in a dorm at college, and she was roommates with one of her friends.
Jinsol did want to move in with Jungeun, so whenever she was round there, she'd make every second worth it.
-
Jinsol grabbed snacks from the kitchen and then began walking to the bedroom. She stopped at the bathroom and opened the door. "Lippie, can I eat snacks in your room?" she asked, looking at the younger girl. Jungeun was undressing, ready to shower.
"Yeah. I don't care." Jungeun replied, taking off her shirt. "Now fuck off, I'm about to shower."
Jinsol chuckled and shut the door, walking to Jungeuns bedroom. She threw herself down on the bed and immediately turned the TV on, finding her favourite movie to watch. She opened the chips she had and placed her phone on the bedside table. However, she frowned, seeing a red book on it.
It was covered in random stickers: hearts, owls, food stickers and more. Alot of them. Jinsol opened the book curiously.
'This book belongs to:
Lippie ♡♡♡'
She smiled and traced her fingers over the writing and flicked to the next page. Immediately, she noticed the date and the first two words on the page.
'5th October 2019
dear diary (is this even how you do this??)'
Jinsol bit her lip and looked away from the book, questioning whether she should continue reading, knowing she was going through her best friends diary.
She reread the date and let out a sigh. "Oh Jungie..." She had wrote in the diary for the first time the day her father died. Because of that, she decided to continue reading to see her feelings.
dear diary,
um i guess today is the day i choose to write in this. ive had it since my birthday this year. ive had it for like 8 months but... im 19, a diary seemed pathetic when i got it as a gift but now... it's the best gift i could've asked for.
my father, the amazing man who raised me better than anyone else, bought me this red diary knowing how much i loved the color red, knowing how much i enjoy writing stories. i always wrote stories as a kid.
but now... my dad um... he passed away this morning and i don't know how to cope. he was my best friend, my favourite person but now he's gone and my heart can't take it.
great. now im crying.
the doctors called me at exactly 5.47am this morning saying my father had been involved in a car accident while going to work. i always warned him the night before to be careful going to work but i was too tired last night so i slept at exactly 8.32pm and forgot to say be careful.
the call was enough for me to break down and he hadn't even passed away yet. i called my best friend jinsol straight away in tears and she picked me up and took me to the hospital straight away. (i was crying too much to be able to drive my car).
we arrived and immediately went to go see him to find out he was in the icu because of how bad the crash was. i managed to see him and we got to speak a bit.
"jungie, you shouldn't be up this early." he scolded me but i saw the happiness and relief in his eyes when he saw me.
"i know dad but you expect me to stay home?" i had replied, holding his hand.
"jungie, my sweet baby, please please remember to take care of yourself, eat well and continue living your life normally when i go." he said. my heart broke when he said that to me. i didn't want him to go.
"you won't go dad. you'll always be there with me right? right?" i asked and swallowed the lump in my throat. i remember jinsol standing behind me and rubbing my back to comfort me the whole time.
"i have to, baby, my heart is hurting. i need to leave." all of these words he said to me just made my heart hurt so badly. my heart still feels the same way. it's not going to heal. not ever.
"please dad. im begging you to try and stay."
"jungeun, my lippie, my baby, my sweet daughter, i need to say goodbye, i can't hold on." he spoke. these words, ive memorised them.
"no dad please, don't leave me... i need you."
"baby" my dad said and just by that one word, at the time i just knew he couldn't take it the pain but i refused to let myself believe it.
"o-okay dad."
"listen close baby, remember, im always by your side even if you can't see me. im always with you and will guide you through anything. i love you so much."
"i love you too dad."
"goodbye, my babygirl, i'll see you later, hm?"
"y-yeah.. i love you."
and with that, he just pass away. he died. right infront of my eyes. this is the hardest thing ive ever had to deal with, loosing my father. loosing my mother did no harm, she left me and my dad for some other guy but she didn't matter... my dad was my hero, the best man to ever exist... now what is there?
the page is stained.
its my tears.
i feel stupid.
god i wish he didn't go. my dad. my only parent figure is gone? just like that. its that easy.
it's 11.27pm right now and all ive done is cried in jinsols arms. i feel too weak. i feel pathetic. she has been up with me since the call this morning and until an hour ago. she fell asleep beside me at 10.18pm. i don't blame her for being tired. she's been holding me all day, letting me cry all i needed. she's amazing, really. i love her so much. thank god she's my best friend.
she doesn't know about this diary. she never will. i waited for her to fall asleep before i wrote in this and it'll be the same every night. i don't want her to know i have this. it's mine and this is the only thing i want to keep secret from her... i feel bad but... yeah.
um i don't know what else to put.
i guess that's it for today.
bye (??)
Jinsol shut the book and wiped the tear that ran down her cheek. She remembered that day well. It pained her to read how Jungeun felt even though she knew by being by her side. Just the writing of how she felt made her heart break as she remembered the pain she had to go through.
Jinsol hated that she was curious to read more. She hated she wanted to read through her best friends private diary when she clearly stated she didn't want her reading it.
It wouldn't hurt to read one more though.. would it?
1st january 2020
dear diary,
im back.
it's been a few months but i couldn't bring myself to open this. it reminded me too much of my father.
uh yeah
recently ive been feeling better, alot better and im glad. jinsol has been helping me move on and basically is living with me right now. it's night time again. 10.49pm. she fell asleep 30 minutes ago.
this is gonna be a short entry.
im feeling better, happier and yeah :)
i have no clue where id be without jinsol honestly. she's holding me when i need, she's making me food, she's making me laugh. she is the definition of perfection. there's no one else like her. she's just so helpful and ugh i love her. so glad to be her best friend.
alright im tired.
im going to sleep.
bye
Jinsol smiled. Jungeun really did love being her friend.
Jinsol wondered how much longer it would take for Jungeun to finish showering because she wanted to read just one more.
10th february 2020
dear diary,
ive officially had this thing for a year yet ive only wrote in it twice before this.
i think i might be starting to recover properly from my father. he told me he would always be with me and i can sense it. it's weird but i feel like i know he is here. it makes me happy.
this is a short entry again but who cares.
im moving on and im proud of myself :)
that's all
bye~
Jinsol found herself enjoying reading the diary entries that she even forgot it was Jungeuns. She even forgot she was in Jungeuns house, in her bedroom, reading her private diary while she showered.
'Just one more...' Jinsol thought and turned the page to the rest book.
12th June 2020
dear diary,
i have a crush.
wow that's very sudden but... it's true. i like someone.
it's so sudden.
i didn't expect it at all.
i was just trying to get over my father's death, which i did, but while doing it... i guess i just fell in love.
over the past few years i have been questioning how i felt towards them but i didn't expect to get a crush on them.
there's no need to hide the gender right?
i like a girl..
a cute girl.
she's just so perfect. her hair is so silky soft and smooth, her eyes are so deep and beautiful, her cheeks are so soft and squishy, her nose is... theres nothing special about it, really, but it's adorable and id love to kiss it. her lips, oh my god don't get me started, they're plump and soft and red (not as red as mine). id love to taste them. i can imagine the feel of our lips touching and its heavenly.
she is perfect.
i would write a name but... just incase someone ever finds this, i can't risk it.
a girl.
that's all im writing.
a cute, beautiful, sweet girl.
bye~~
Jinsol looked up from the book in shock. Jungeun had a crush and hadn't even told her. Jinsol reread the date and realised Jungeun wrote it two years ago. That meant she might not have the crush anymore and that's why Jinsol knew nothing of it.
Jinsol hated herself even more when she realised she was flicking to the next page to read the next diary entry.
19th june 2021
dear diary,
wow its been a long time since i wrote in this. it's been a whole year. i never forgot about it, ive just been too busy with life to add to it. i can never throw this away of course, the last gift my dad got me.
i feel stupid still, 21 and i still use this. but... it's from my dad so it's not weird.
so it's 2021 and it's been a year since i got my crush on her. i almost wrote her name there. i can't do that.
ive tried so so SOO many times to forget about my crush but at this point its no longer a crush. it's love. and yeah it's true, i do love her so much, i just never expected it to come in romance form. as a friend, i love her alot but things just seem... different? i don't know.
me and jinsol have recently made friends with ten other girls. it's all because of jinsol that were friends with them and its nice having other friends. this girl was moved to jinsols dorm and since then, jinsol and her began hanging out and we were introduced to her other friends and god, there are so many.
they are: kahei, haseul, sooyoung (jinsols roommate), jiwoo (MY FAMILY FRIEND I GOT REUNITED WITH), heejin, hyunjin, chaewon, yerim, hyejoo and yeojin.
they're all really great friends but jinsol is kinda distant lately.. it hurts my heart to be honest.
i love sol, she's my best friend and of course, she's allowed other friends but she's spending ALL of her time with yerim and sooyoung and i must admit, im jealous.
i shouldn't be because its like im a toxic friend who wants her all to myself but.. it feels like i can't take the pain of her laughing so hard with someone that isn't me. i feel like i should know what they're talking about and i hate myself because of it. im so jealous.
no matter how much i get annoyed or jealous at jinsol, i could never hate her. we've never fought once in our entire friendship and that's been since we were four, now we're twenty one!
it's been a long time since we became friends and i don't regret it at all. best choice ever.
but that's all
byee
Jinsol remembered when they first became friends with everyone else and she remembered clearly seeing Jungeun upset when she would hang out with Yerim and Sooyoung. She hated seeing Jungeun upset but she wanted to enjoy time with her new friends.
Jinsol put the diary down. That's enough for one day, she knew she shouldn't have even done it in the first place.
But.. What if Jungeun still had the crush? That thought was enough for Jinsol to reopen the diary and flick to the next page.
12th august 2022
dear diary,
it's been way over a year since i last wrote in this. i feel bad for not writing in here more but im 22, i have a life and need to live it.
um so id say im maybe 89.99% over my dads death. yeah its almost been three years but im still not fully over it. im proud of myself that it's over 75% though :)
i feel childish. i cry over things too easily.
i cry randomly because of my father, my jealousy, jinsol/my crush.
i still get jealous over jinsol hanging out with our other friends, not just me. jinsol deserves to spend time with other people, not just me. she should be able to do whatever she wants with who ever she wants but... i hate it.
jinsol is my best friend, my family. not family by blood but through the love. she's always felt like family to me and having no parents, she's the closest thing i actually have to a family and it hurts knowing the one person i consider family hangs out with other people than me.
woah, re reading it, you can so tell how jealous i get.
im toxic. i swear i am. sol is the best girl ever and im being possessive, only wanting her to be with me.
she's like my sister except she could never be...
whatever
about my crush, she's still the cutest and yes, i still like her. im never moving on. i think i'll love her until i die. i can't keep on talking about her because i'll just say the same things over and over and it'll get boring.
but i just can't get over her and how fucking beautiful she is.
shes super caring too. the other day, we went to the amusement park together along with our friends and oh my god, she was by my side the whole time and held my hand the whole time. it got cold when we were there and she gave me her jacket and she also bought me food and kept me safe the whole time.
i think i make my feelings obvious to her but she never seems to read the signs im giving her.
if only you liked me back </3
i can't be bothered to write more.
byeyeeye
Jinsol closed the book and let out a sigh. Jungeun infact did still have the crush on some girl.
It was crazy, Jinsol couldn't believe Jungeun had a crush and she didn't know. She began to wonder if any others of their friends knew about her crush.
Jinsol shook her head to forget about it and took her phone, turning the TV off and walking into the living room with her snacks to pretend she hadn't been in her bedroom.
She turned the TV in the living room on and sat cross legged until she heard a knock on the door and the doorbell rung.
"Sol! Can you get it for me?" Jungeun yelled from the bathroom.
Jinsol stood up and saw two of their friends. She ran to the bathroom and opened the door seeing Jungeun out of the shower, wrapped in a towel.
"Lippie, its Sooyoung and Jiwoo." Jinsol said. "What do you wanna do?"
"Let me come." Jungeun said and let her hair out of the towel, quickly put underwear and a hoodie on before heading to the door. She opened it and looked at the two girls.
"Took you long enough." Sooyoung chuckled and tried to walk in but Jungeun stopped her.
"I was showering, also why are you here?" Jungeun asked and opened her arms as she saw Jiwoo impatiently waiting for a hug.
"Jinsols here, right? She's not at the dorm or on campus meaning she's here." Sooyoung asked, trying to look over Jungeuns shoulder.
"Why?"
"Can we come in?" Jiwoo asked, pouting her lips.
"Today?" Jungeun asked, sighing as she looked at the four girls. "Does it have to be today?"
"Unless there's something important but I doubt there is so..." Sooyoung dragged out the ending, looking at Jungeun with begging eyes.
"Not today.. please?" Jungeun asked, looking down now.
"Can't we just-"
"Soo, she said no." Jinsol spoke, walking over and wrapping her arm around Jungeuns waist to give her a side hug.
"Jinso-"
"Not today." Jinsol insisted.
Sooyoung and Jiwoo left and Jinsol shut the door and hugged Jungeun who broke into tears. "They had to come today?"
"I know Lippie, I know.. but they're gone now so its okay." Jinsol spoke, caressing Jungeuns back. Today happened to be the third anniversary of Jungeuns father's death which is why they had been hanging out all day.
Jungeun nodded and pulled away, wiping her tears. "I still feel dumb, crying so often because of this."
"There's nothing bad to feel, Jungie. It's good that you don't hide your emotions, you openly show them and that's good." Jinsol smiled. "Come on. Let's go to your room."
"Can you hold me?" Jungeun asked while taking Jinsols hand, pulling her to her bedroom.
"Yeah course Lippie." Jinsol said softly.
"God I love you." Jungeun smiled. "Bestest friend ever."
"Love you too."
For the rest of the night, Jinsol held Jungeun and hugged her all she needed until they both fell asleep in eachothers arms.
-
Four days had passed and every single day, the diary was on Jinsols mind. Every passing minute in class, every lunch time, every time she was alone in her dorm.
She was currently in the shower back in her dorm on a Friday when she thought of the diary entry where Jungeun first spoke about her crush. Jinsol realised how much her heart was pained, knowing Jungeun liked someone else other than her.
She realised, her crush that she thought left a few years ago was now back, stronger than ever.
She sunk to the floor while the water still sprayed down onto her body and felt herself tear up. Jungeun had a crush and one, hadn't told her and two, it wasn't her.
She began sobbing in the shower until she couldn't breathe from how hot it was in there so she turned it off, grabbed a towel and walked out of the bathroom, sitting on her bed as the tears ran down her cheeks.
"Jinsol?" Sooyoung asked. "Woah, are you okay? Why are you crying?"
"Just not feeling great today." She said and got dressed. "I'm going to Jungeun's, please don't come."
Jinsol drove to Jungeun's in tears, not caring how dangerous it was. She wasn't completely focused on the road but didn't care, as long as she managed to arrive at her best friends place safely.
She let herself in and took her shoes off then ran to the bedroom, throwing herself onto the bed.
"Sol. What are you doing here?" Jungeun asked, turning around while pulling a shirt over her head. She saw Jinsol in tears as she hugged the cover and hurried closer, sitting on the bed. "Why are you crying, hm?" She asked softly, caressing Jinsols cheek.
"Woke up in a bad mood." Jinsol mumbled and looked up at Jungeun. "Can I stay here today? I don't feel like going to classes."
"Yeah course. I'm still going to classes but I'll come home straight away, okay?" Jungeun asked and lay down and cuddled Jinsol for a bit. Jinsol nodded so Jungeun left, leaving the elder all alone.
Quickly, Jinsol managed to stop the tears as she desperately began searching for Jungeuns diary. She needed to read more, to know more about her mystery crush.
She began to get stressed as she couldn't find it. "Lippie, where would you keep it?" she whispered to herself and then opened her closet to get changed into Jungeun's pajamas when her eyes lay on a box in the bottom corner.
She picked it up and sat on the bed, opening it. She saw a bunch of pictures of Jungeun's father and many pictures of her and Jungeun together from kids to their age now. On the back of each picture was the date it was taken and a small message. On a recent picture of them, Jungeun had wrote in pen, 'Me with my love <3'
Jinsol frowned and looked at more.
'Jisollie my baby <3'
'Me with my girl <3'
'Is it me she likes?' Jinsol thought and bit her lip.
She noticed the diary at the bottom and picked it up and re read the final entry that she read the other day and realised something. The part where Jungeun mentioned the amusement part. A few months ago, Jinsol had taken Jungeun and the rest of their friends to one and Jinsol had been the person to do all of the things listed.
She let out a shaky breath and turned to the next page, ready to see if it revealed more things about her crush.
28th september 2022
dear diary,
recently, jinsol has been spending alot more time with me again. i feel so much of my stress and worries gone just with her by my side. yeah, our friends are like always beside us and never let us hang out alone but it's the small things that make me happy. she walks beside me, she holds my hand so i dont get lost, she keeps me close to her, she calls me every night - she always used to and ofc i don't expect her to do it every night but she does it again so im happy :)
sol is my girl, i'll love her forever <3
you may be thinking, well what about my crush- well actually no, im writing this in a book.
anyway
my crush on her is stronger than ever but she still can't see it. i always cuddle her, ask her to stay over, ask if she wants to go out but we've been doing that for years so it's not gonna sound romantic to her i guess...
gosh why can't you love me back?
why can't you realise how i feel?
i really hope one day you'll realise and ask me out without me having to ask you, im too nervous. yeah, we've been best friends since kids and yeah we say i love you to eachother all of the time but i like- no, love you a different way now and i really hope you can just realise. please <3
jeong jinsol, i love you <3
Jinsol teared up. For some reason, reading Jungeun write those three words that were aimed for her made her feel emotional.
Jinsol noticed that now, there was only one page left and then she'd read every diary entry. She read the date. It was from the anniversary of her father's death.
5th october 2022
dear diary,
well
it's been three years since my dad left me but im okay now. everything is okay. im happy :)
me and sol hung out at mine the whole day and im really happy :)
jinsolllll i love her so much.
so so sooooooo much
im just gonna suck it up and admit my crush.
it's her.
the girl ive been friends with since four, the girl who i thought felt like my sister, turns out i like her waaaayyyy more than a sister. jinsol, if you're reading this, it's you.
you've always been the one.
btw i know you've read my diary :)
ive known you would since you asked if you could go into my room the other day when i showered. i left it out and to be honest, yeah i had forgot to put it away but knowing you'd read it and, although it's kinda mean, get jealous because of my crush.
but yeah, it's you. you're the one im crushing on.
ive had the crush on and off ever since we were 14. that's alot of years, i can't be bothered to count. (it's 8 years).
eight years since i first realised i liked you. at that age though, i didn't know i was into girls, the fuck?
i liked you on and off over those years.
i remember liking you without knowing i liked you from when we was 14 until 15 and a bit but once i realised i liked girls, i was scared and forced myself to stop liking you and somehow, it worked. i began liking you again when we were 16 and i was definitely more confident with how i felt then and i just allow myself to fall for you. after another whole year, i stopped liking you again because i thought i fell for that guy in my class. turns out i didn't because when we were 19, i fell harder for you and my feelings have stayed ever since and they're never gonna go :)
you'll never understand the way you make me feel.
my heart goes crazy whenever i see you, hear your voice. i blush ALL the time around you and omg the way you make me smile, people must think im crazy.
i just love you.
that's all i can say.
im hoping that no matter what, this won't ruin our friendship because i can't loose you. i know ive wrote this before but you literally are the only family i have. if i loose you, i don't know how i'd survive. we've basically been friends since four, that's like baby age.
me loving you more than a friend won't change our friendship... right?
i really don't want it to, sol :(
when you read this, pls just be honest about how you feel, if you don't like me back then i guess it's fine :(
just tell me how you honestly feel and if you don't like me, i'll work on stopping my feelings.
for you.
all i'll do, i'll do it for you <3
i love you, jinsol.
so so so much
i love you
Jinsol broke into tears as she finished reading and covered her mouth to silence the sound of her sobs. Jungeun loved her so much more than she could ever think.
"Lippie I love you so much." Jinsol mumbled and tried to find something to write with. She found a pen and turned to the next clean page in Jungeuns diary.
9th october 2022
dear diary,
it's jinsol.
jungeun im sorry for reading your diary.
i know you don't care but im still sorry.
you were right, you did get me jealous when you wrote about some other girl.
when i tell you i began crying knowing you like someone else, it's the truth. i cried so hard thinking about thinking you like someone else and i began crying again knowing it's me. fuck, im still crying now.
lippie, i love you too.
so so so much.
i love you.
i guess i can say i started liking you when we were 16 and i liked you for years until we were 19. i forced myself to stop liking you in that way when your father passed so i could care for you properly as your best friend. once you told me you were slowly getting over the death, i found myself falling for you again but it felt like a small stupid crush and that it would pass. yeah, it did pass. over the past maybe... three months? ive been questioning how i felt because i saw you and felt a flutter but it was unlike any of the feelings before.
once i read your diary and the part where you said about a crush, i got upset and realised that after all this time, i never actually stopped liking you.
so yeah, i love you jungie <3
nothing will change in our friendship, i would never drop you ever. you are like my family and now i know we both love eachother, maybe we could just make our friendship better ;)
by the time you read this, i would've gone home but ill be back in the morning to see what you say.
i love you sm remember that :)
- jinsol
(ps. i might be already planning our date <3)
After Jinsol wrote in the diary, she shut it and left it on the desk before grabbing her things and leaving to go home.
Once she arrived, she grabbed some snacks and sat down on her bed and played some videogames but her mind was distracted. She couldn't focus on the game and ended up loosing the level she was on.
All the could think of was Jungeun, the perfect woman she was in love with.
30 minutes later, Sooyoung returned home.
"Jinsol, are you okay?" She asked, seeing how the younger was out of it, lost in her thoughts.
"Hm, yeah I guess." Jinsol replied. "Just alot on my mind today."
"Like what?" Sooyoung asked.
"Oh it doesn't matter." Jinsol replied, knowing Sooyoung wouldn't force her to tell her anything.
"Well, whatever's on your mind, I'll help. Do you wanna game?" Sooyoung asked curiously, sitting beside Jinsol.
"I did try earlier but I was too distracted."
"Let's game. You need to try and beat me. Will that make you forget about whatever it is?"
"I hope."
For the next two hours, Sooyoung and Jinsol had their eyes on the TV screen as they gamed. Luckily, Jungeun managed to leave Jinsols mind for now.
Jinsol decided she didn't want to game anymore because she felt tired. She lay down in bed and closed her eyes to "rest them" but Sooyoung knew she would probably just go to sleep.
"Hey, are those your clothes? I've never seen you wear those before." Sooyoung asked from her bed.
"Nope. Jungeuns." Jinsol replied, keeping her eyes shut.
Suddenly, the door swung open and a teary eyed Jungeun walked in and stood at the foot of Jinsols bed. Jinsol sat up and smiled at Jungeun, suddenly no longer tired.
"You really love me back?" Jungeun asked, her voice coming out as a whisper as she sat down onto Jinsols bed.
Jinsol smiled widely and pulled Jungeun closer to her. Jinsol put her lips by the youngers ear. "I love you so much. Way more than a friend."
"Are you telling the truth?" Jungeun asked, wiping the tears that were in her eyes.
"Everything is the truth." Jinsol spoke, kissing Jungeuns cheek. "I love you with my whole heart."
"Love you too." Jungeun mumbled as she crawled into Jinsols lap, resting her head on her chest. "Can you be my girlfriend?"
"Course, Lippie." Jinsol kissed Jungeuns forehead softly. "I'd say yes to you anytime."
Jungeun smiled widely and pecked Jinsols lips. "Hmm your lips are soft."
"You know, I don't think dad would've wanted anyone else to be my girlfriend. He told me you'd be perfect for me. He told me you were probably my soul mate. He never got to see us actually together." Jungeun said and forced a smile, biting her inner cheek.
"It's okay. It's fine, Lippie. He's watching you. He knows you did it." Jinsol smiled, kissing Jungeun's forehead again. It was lucky both of their love languages were physical touch.
Jungeun nodded.
"Thank god I left my diary out that day."
"Hm, Thank god."
