Planet Glass. This planet was a colossal concentration of glass, whose inhabitants, the Glass People, had evolved to be able to manipulate glass itself in order to be able to morph the planet’s environment back to their previous form, all in a manner to survive.
However, not much else about the planet was found before a set of space pirates took over and rendered it barren-well, more barren than it already was-in order to sell it to the highest bidder.
And so, the Glass People became extinct as a result…
Or so everyone thought.
…
In the middle of a baseball field, a group of baseball players did a little training around, with one of them, a guy with long black hair and an X-shaped scar on his cheek, had a round as a pitcher. He grabbed the ball, wound up throwing it…
And once he did, he wound up throwing it all the way over the field and into the distance.
“Dang it, Yamcha, stop sending the ball over the limit!” the coach shouted.
“Sorry coach, it happens!” Yamcha exclaimed. “I’m gonna go get it!”
With those words spoken, Yamcha left the field and ran to where the ball had landed, taking a moment to stretch his arm as he did.
“Man, even after all this time, I still end up using more strength than necessary. I really wish I could go back to being a fighter, at least then I wouldn’t need to hold back so much.”
Having said that, the man kept walking until he found the ball… alongside a rather peculiar object.
It was a large crystalline shell of sorts, glistening against the sunlight as within it, a humanoid figure stood completely immobile, curled up in a fetal position.
Naturally, Yamcha… ignored the crystal shell and just grabbed the ball. Then he began to walk back, before he heard something begin to crack.
He turned around, and saw a crack had suddenly appeared on the shell, with it rapidly expanding as Yamcha jumped back and gasped.
“What the heck?!”
Eventually, the shell shattered, and the shards dropped to the ground as the figure within floated for a moment, then slowly stretched out of the fetal position, revealing herself to be a woman with blue skin, dark blue hair, and black clothing.
Then, she opened her eyes, and her red pupils immediately locked with Yamcha’s eyes, the man looking utterly confused as she flashed a smile and cooed:
“My darling, I’m so glad to see you again!”
