It was a little past three in the morning when Corrin's phone when off, annoying him as he had only just managed to fall asleep less than an hour ago.
Unsurprisingly, it was one of his boyfriends, who had been calling nonstop ever since he decided to visit his family back in the states.
Knowing that the calls would persist if he ignored them, he answered. “Binghe do you have any idea what time it is here?”
“Would you still love me if I was a worm?”
Corrin was genuinely stunned into silence at the question. “Pardon?”
“Would you still love me if I was a worm?”
“Why are you asking me this at three in the morning?” Corrin groaned. “I’m trying to sleep.”
Corrin could hear Binghe let out a loud sob and talk to someone else. “Yuan, Corrin said he wouldn’t love me if I was a worm!”
“You actually called him?!” and there was the other boyfriend. “I told you not to!”
There was a struggle, Binghe's crying still heard in the background as Yuan finally managed to steal the phone from him. “Corrin, I promise I told him not to call you.”
Corrin smiled to himself. “I believe you, Yuan. But also I’m really tired and it’s three in the morning right now, so I’m gonna go back to sleep. I’ll call you again later.”
“Alright, love you.”
“Love you too.” Corrin paused for a moment. “Also, tell Binghe that I wouldn’t love him if he was a worm specifically because he woke me up to ask me.”
The phone must have been on speaker, because Corrin could vaguely hear Binghe let out a loud, distraught sob before he hung up.
