Work Text:
Out of all days for it to be raining, it just had to be today. Hoseok had cursed himself for forgetting to check the weather earlier, clearly it was important otherwise he wouldn’t be stuck under the roof of a bistro without an umbrella. He isn’t the only one, when another pretty man comes out and stops right beside him. Obviously having been deterred by the rain.
Hoseok turns his head to properly look at him, and tilts his head questioningly, “Forgot your umbrella too?”
The man blinks in shock at being spoken to, it seems, and points at himself warily. To which Hoseok nods, a small smile growing on his face. The man clears his throat, “Uh… yeah, didn’t think to check the weather app.”
Hoseok laughs heartily at that, “Yeah, me too!” The reaction must have been louder than he thought, because it left the other reeling and blinking frantically. It was kind of hilarious actually. Hoseok sighs exhaustively, looking back at the thunderous downpour. Out of the corner of his eye he can see the man staring at him as if he was some sort of mystical unicorn, probably because he wasn’t used to people unpromptedly interacting with him. Right when it seemed like he was gonna look away, another person had joined the fray.
An employee of the cafe, the same one that served Hoseok. “Hey, uh, we have an umbrella you guys could use? It’s only one but, um, you could share… I guess?”
At that, Hoseok nodded vigorously, ostensibly excited. He graciously took the umbrella from the employee, thanking him all the while. He turned to face the man beside him, “is it okay if we share? Or you could take it if you want.”
Hoseok holds out the umbrella to him but the man shakes his head in response. “I’m fine with sharing…” The man moves in closer as Hoseok fumbles with opening the umbrella, eventually succeeding. He holds it out of courtesy since he is taller anyways, not by much but there is noticeable difference. They walk in complete silence before Hoseok realizes that, “oh hey where do you live?”
“Hmm…?” The man ponders over it, presumably deciding on whether or not to share personal information with a stranger, “I live near college street, down that way.” He points to the left.
Hoseok nods, “okay, I live near the bay area so you can take the umbrella after we’re close enough to my place.” The walk isn’t that long, but it is peaceful enough for Hoseok to forget that he’s almost a minute away once they get to the intersection.
Hoseok glances around before speaking up, “ah! Okay I’m close enough to just run the rest of the distance.” The man opens his mouth to protest, but Hoseok is already bowing in thanks, “okay, bye!”
It’s only when Hoseok arrives home does he realize that he never got to ask for the man’s name. Oh well, not like i’ll see him again.
Parties are parties, Hoseok decides.
They are, at most, fine. At the very least he can have an enjoyable time as long as dancing and maybe drinking is involved. To be honest, his preference lies in drinking with a couple of close friends but only if drinking is required. Somewhere along the way he had lost both Jimin and Namjoon, but wasn’t really paying attention to that and focused on dancing his heart out. No other time to soak up the attention like the slut I truly am.
When he had finally grown tired of dancing, he hopped over to the bar, bumping into Jimin. “Jiminie! I was looking for you everywhere!”
Jimin smiles at him, “hyung, wanna go out for some air?” Hoseok nodded while swaying back and forth a bit, and wrapped his arm around Jimin’s shoulders. Who wrapped his arms around Hoseok’s waist, and led them outside safely. They both plopped down onto the front lawn of the frat house, simultaneously exhaling in relief.
“It has been so long,” Hoseok slurred, leaning his weight onto Jimin. “Since what, Hobi-hyung?” Hoseok whines at that, eyes slowly falling shut. He laid there for a while feeling extremely comfortable, until they both heard a voice calling out to them.
“Hoseok-ah! Jimin-ah!” They turned their heads towards the voice. Coming up behind them was Namjoon waving his arms like a madman. Another figure following closeby. “I want you guys to meet my friend.”
Hoseok and Jimin both get up, the former slightly dizzy and grabbing Jimin’s arm to prevent any detrimental falls from happening. “Yoongi-hyung, this is Jimin,” Jimin waves his hand, “And this… is Hoseok-ah.”
Hoseok suddenly looks up, and smiles brightly, “Hi!” The man looks oddly familiar and that’s when it hits him. “Oh! You’re the – the guy! Umbrella!”
The man chuckles, a deep raspy tone to it. “Yeah, never got your name that time.” Namjoon looks between the two of them, “You guys… already met?”
“Yeah, oh I was at a cafe,” He turns to look at Jimin, “You know the one… the um… white rabbit?”
“Oh! You went without me?” Jimin pouts, slouching forward.
“Uh… oops?”
Jimin rolls his eyes at him, “Thanks.” Hoseok giggles, still a little drunk. He tightens the hand secured onto Jimin’s arm, “Anyways – anyways, like I was saying…”
“If we even try to let him finish his sentence, we’re gonna be here for hours.” Namjoon guffaws at that, “Yeah you’re right we should probably get you two home.”
Hoseok frowns, “But… didn’t you drink?”
Namjoon smiles, his dimples on display. “It’s fine, we got Yoongi-hyung here for that.” Yoongi waves his fingers a little, showcasing the key he’s got in his hands.
Jimin speaks up as they start walking towards the car, “If you want, we can all stay at our place for night and then you can leave… tomorrow morning?” His voice sounds meek and shy near the end of the sentence, as he glances down at the road. Namjoon and Yoongi momentarily make eye contact, before nodding at the same time.
“Yeah, sure.”
Throughout the ride back home, Hoseok hums every song playing, occasionally singing aloud to the more energetic ones. Everytime he would sing along, he could hear the two in the front laugh and felt a sort of accomplishment at that. When they finally managed to bypass the door standing in the way to their place, Hoseok threw his arms out in celebration, “Yes!”
He promptly turns towards the others and latches onto Namjoon’s arm, “I call Namjoon-ah.” Jimin laughs, “Okay, hyung like I didn't see that coming,” his tone laced with sarcasm.
Hoseok shrugs with a dopey smile on his face, and drags Namjoon to his room. Usually Hoseok would preach hygiene and urge them to go brush their teeth but he did not have the energy for that anymore. Not as of this moment.
Instead, he immediately drops down on the bed and calls out to Namjoon, asking him to join him. He doesn’t hear his response, but feels the warmth of the other residing beside him in bed, and snuggles into it. Sighing happily, he drifts off into a nice slumber.
“What is… going on in here…?”
Jimin whirls around, shocked. “Um well… Namjoon offered to make breakfast?” Hoseok groans half-heartedly, to which Namjoon responds with a shout of indignation.
“I’m not that bad!” He waves the spatula around in frustration. The padding of feet can be heard, before Yoongi approaches the kitchen in trepidation, “is Namjoon in the kitchen right now.”
It isn’t a question, but rather an outrageous statement. Hoseok chokes out a laugh, “look! Even Yoongi-ssi knows!”
Yoongi moves to sit down beside Hoseok, slightly angling his body towards him. “Just Yoongi is fine, or hyung to you since I’m older I believe…?”
Namjoon nods, trying to concentrate on the egg in front of him.
“Sure, hyung!” He smiles, heart shaped lips on full display. Yoongi juts back a little like someone had just shone a bright light in his face. If the tenseness of Yoongi was extremely visible earlier, then it has been completely dissipated by the time they were done with their (charred) breakfast. Conversation went along smoothly, engaging in talk about their majors and other activities. Yoongi seemed oddly interested when Jimin and Hoseok had mentioned their enthusiasm with dance. Although Hoseok had chalked it up to Jimin’s charms. Lord knows that isn’t the first time it happened, and obviously is not the last.
As the two start making their way out, Hoseok asks Namjoon if he’s going down to the Hybe building.
“Not today Hob-ah, sorry,” Hoseok nods with pursed lips, his mouth upturned in a frown. “Uh…” Yoongi starts, staring straight at Hoseok with a dazed look on his face, “i’m – i’m heading down there, if you want... we can go together?”
The news immediately brightens him up as he moves forward to grab Yoongi’s hand in his and shakes it in excitement. “Ah thanks, hyung! I’ll go get ready right away.”
On their way Yoongi surprisingly offers to go grab a coffee. He even ends up paying for the both of them, to which Hoseok promises to pay for them next time.
“So do you work at Hybe as well?”
Hoseok hums in question before adding on, “Oh no I’m just interning there for now, I do want to work there eventually.” Yoongi nods in understanding, “I’m guessing you help the choreographers with dance… what type of dance do you do?”
“I mainly focus on hip hop, but I'm good with other styles like street dance for example,” Hoseok chirps up at the conversation topic, “Jimin also does hip hop but he’s so fluid and his contemporary choreos are so interesting.”
Yoongi hums in interest, “You and Jimin are pretty close huh?”
“Oh yeah we’ve known each other since high school, and then we decided to room together after that.” Yoongi takes the empty coffee cup that he’d been swinging around in his hand, while he was expressively talking. “Then I met Namjoon at the start of our first semester ‘cause we had a bunch of similar classes.”
“And yet he didn’t even introduce me to you guys until now.” Hoseok chuckles in response. The rest of the conversation follows along on a similar route of them getting to know each other better until they arrived at the Hybe building, parting to get to their respective studios. Hoseok had noted that, unlike most relatively quieter people he met, he actually found himself looking forward to seeing Yoongi again.

Typing…
Normally, Hoseok would be one to knock but the way that Yoongi was being absolutely clingy told him that it didn’t matter at the moment. Instead, He just barged into Yoongi’s studio, coffee cups in hand. “I bring an offering with me, your majesty.”
Yoongi froze in his spot, slowly lowering the phone he was previously preoccupied with typing on, “Hoseok…”
Hoseok placed the cup down on the desk and smiled, “What? You’re speechless…” He lifts his right shoulder in a flirty manner and flutters his eyelashes, “I guess I’m just that amazing.”
“You… really are.” Not expecting that response, Hoseok's face broke out into a furious blush, momentarily disarming him to stand there cluelessly. “Ahh… hyung…” He whined once he broke out of his stupor, pouting exaggeratedly. “You’re so sneaky.”
Yoongi rasps a chuckle, “Like you aren’t.” Hoseok tilts his head innocently, “What do you mean?”
He hands him his coffee, and settles down on the couch near him. “Anyways, Jimin-ah is taking us to a club tomorrow night, thought I’d let you know in advance.”
Yoongi frowns, “but—”
“Hyung, it’s winter break.” Hoseok leans forward and looks at him with his desperate puppy dog eyes, “Please?”
Yoongi doesn’t respond for a few minutes, seemingly lost in thought. “Okay, fine…” he sighs, “Are you gonna be drinking?”
“Of course I mean,” Hoseok grins greedily, “Jiminie’s offering to pay.”
“Mmm, okay.” Yoongi subtly nods, almost decisively. Assuming it’s not relevant, Hoseok just shrugs it away and continues on rambling about how his day went, no doubt assured that Yoongi is listening because that’s just how he is. Regardless of his responses, he’ll always be paying attention anyways cause that’s just how he’s come to know Yoongi, and it’s one of his favorite things about him. One of many.
For a second, Hoseok almost overreacts at the dizzying aspect of all the blurs morphing into a kaleidoscope look-alike around him, until he realizes that he is, in fact, drunk. The absurdity of the situation makes him laugh out loud. Before he knows it, some dude is approaching him all suave and Hoseok really has to hold in it otherwise he’d burst out laughing like a clown. The guy stands right in front of him, slightly towering over him and truth be told, he is indeed a looker.
He rests his arm on the bar, “You come here often?”
That’s all it takes before Hoseok’s a giggling mess, “Seriously? That’s the best you could come up with?” The dude has the gall to look sheepish, but he doesn’t shy from the embarrassment.
“Hey, if it's to get your attention, then I’m all for it,” He flashes him an award winning smile. “I’m Saeyoung…” He trails off, waiting.
“Hoseok.” For some reason, he sticks out his hand unknowingly. Saeyoung complies with a handshake, before abruptly pulling him in closer. “Great, but how ‘bout I call you mine tonight?”
Hoseok’s face is admittedly bright red but he laughs nervously in response. He’s not used to people approaching him for him. Usually men would come up only to flirt with Jimin or to get information about Jimin from Hoseok. Which baffled him to no end, because why come to him when Jimin is literally right there. Most of the time, they’re just right next to each other so it seems utterly futile. The fact that this person, this attractive man, came up to flirt with him is, well, new.
Flustered, Hoseok isn’t able to respond as coherently as he wants to and just stutters endlessly. He’s pretty sure that even in the dim lighting his blush is inherently obvious, but tries not to let that deter him. Saeyoung ostensibly isn’t bothered because he moves in closer and places a light hand on his waist, purring huskily, “What do you say huh, Hoseok ?”
At this point, Hoseok is definitely on board. Alas, it appears that no one else is because not a second after, someone else is pulling him back and out of Saeyoung’s grasp. It takes a minute but he recognizes the hand coming to rest on his back, with the other one holding onto his left arm.
“Yoongi-hyung?” Said man turns to look at him, expression undecipherable. Yoongi says something to Saeyoung which he entirely misses due to the buzzing in his ears, and next thing he knows, Yoongi’s taking him away from the bar. They come to a stop near the lounge area, where only two others reside.
“Hoseok-ah, what did he want?”
“Um… uh—” Hoseok flounders for an explanation, gaze immediately averted to the ground. It's unnervingly quiet even with the bass boosted EDM playing nearby. “It's – um – it's nothing uh.”
Hoseok’s afraid to look up. It’s irrational, he knows, but the fear of Yoongi having witnessed his desperation gets to him. He fiddles with his hands relentlessly.
“Hob-ah,” Yoongi’s hand comes up to his chin, gently guiding Hoseok’s face back up to look him in the eyes, “What was he saying?”
Close. He’s so close.
Yoongi’s hand drops from where it’s kind of cradling Hoseok’s chin, as he steps back a little, “Sorry.” Hoseok’s eyes widen as he realizes that he must’ve said it out loud.
“No uh – no, hyung it's not – um, you just surprised me!” Hoseok shakes his head like he’s trying to get rid of that thought. Yoongi isn’t looking at him, not entirely. All of a sudden, this look of determination sets in Yoongi’s eyes and he’s walking closer and out of habit, Hoseok starts to step back. Unaware of the couch close by, he almost trips and succinctly lands near it, back adjacent to the arm rest. He’s so far gone that he doesn’t even discern that he’s on the dirty club floor. Not that it matters because next minute Yoongi is crouching in front of him, moving towards him.
“Seok-ah…”
“Yeah?” He replies breathily.
“What,” Yoongi leans in further, “did he say to you?” Hoseok audibly gulps.
“Nothing, hyung… it was just mindless chatter.” Hoseok wonders if he sounds as nervous as he thinks he does. Yoongi hums in disbelief, eyes darkened under the dull glow, “Then why did you seem so… bashful?”
Hoseok doesn’t respond.
“I mean,” Yoongi’s right hand comes up to cup Hoseok’s cheek, “you were so red.”
Unable to look away from Yoongi’s gaze, he answers as if on autopilot, “well you know, he was just flirting? I guess, I don't know… I mean it’s the first time someone’s approached me directly instead of asking for Jimin-related advice and I thought maybe this was my chance, ‘cause it’s just so unlikely. What’s the worst that could’ve even happened? I mean he was forward, but it was nice for once—”
Yoongi cuts him off, “so he’s your type? Tall and what, like a mediocre average looking guy?”
“What?” Hoseok blinks. “No? No! It’s not that… it was just – well, I mean he came to me and I’m not gonna lie, Yoongi, at that moment that was enough for me.”
Yoongi scoffs whilst rolling his eyes. Feeling defensive Hoseok continues, “seriously I don’t get why this matters, I mean yeah sure he was like the first guy to genuinely show interest in me, I’m sorry if I’m just so desperate.”
“It’s not that, Hoseok, I mean you deserve someone better obviously. But is that really all you want?”
“Who cares what I want, hyung?” Hoseok pushes back stubbornly.
“Well first of all you should—”
“It doesn’t matter. I don’t see why this is so important to you all of a sudden!”
Yoongi huffs, irritated. “Because you’re just putting yourself down by latching onto some random guy that’s – what – interested in you?”
“Yes, okay, yes maybe that’s the only reason why, but if he’s the only guy that is attracted to me by far why should I pass this up?” Yoongi mumbles an incorrigible response, seemingly annoyed. “Huh?”
Yoongi sighs like a defeated man. “Let’s just… go home, Seok.” Hoseok wants to refute childishly, but the look on Yoongi’s face makes him backtrack. God, he looks so… hurt.
“I’m sorry for attacking you mindlessly, I just – you disappeared on us… and I was worried,” Yoongi explains. Wordlessly, Hoseok moves to wrap his arms around his neck and nuzzles into it as an acceptance. He hears and feels Yoongi’s coarse chuckle, as he feels the elder’s arms wrap around his waist. They stay there like that for a while longer until Hoseok finally lets go, and shuffles to get up, hand in hand with Yoongi.
“For what it’s worth, I didn’t blame you, hyung. I was just caught up in the moment.” Yoongi’s hand suddenly tightens in his hold and he just nods, silently pulling them along to the car. Hoseok figures that Yoongi’s filled his word quota for the day and just follows along obediently. That’s all he’s able to remember doing right before he passed out on the ride home.
Hoseok wakes up in bliss the next day, aside from the pounding headache that is. His bed feels oddly comfortable, and he’s practically sinking into it. As if on cue, he shifts to being fully awake and shoots up from the bed, recognizing that it's not his rock-hard mattress. He looks around the room, disoriented from the hangover. He hears someone knock on the door of the bedroom, and whisks around to see Yoongi watching him in amusement.
“Hyung?”
“Hey, you’re finally sounding articulate. I just brought you to my place by the way, Jimin hadn’t gone to yours and I didn’t know where your keys were.”
Hoseok rubs his eyes tiredly, and mumbles ‘that’s okay’ before getting out of bed. Stretching as he slowly stalks up, he looks towards Yoongi to ask him for directions to the bathroom but stops in his place when he sees Yoongi staring at him intently. He self-consciously grabs the hem of his shirt, “where’s the washroom, hyung?”
Yoongi points to the area on his left, “There’s a blue toothbrush that you can use, it's unused. When you’re done, come to the living room to eat, I made breakfast.” Hoseok mockingly salutes at him.
When Hoseok eventually makes his way down to the kitchen area, he’s surprised to see a proper breakfast set out for him and Yoongi. “Did… you make all of this?”
Yoongi nods shyly, avoiding eye contact. The moment he takes his first bite, Hoseok is ready to propose for marriage. “Yoongi-hyung! This is the best thing I’ve ever had, oh my god. ” He moans in excitement from the deliciousness.
Yoongi leans on his right hand, smiling fondly as he sips his coffee. “I’m glad you like it, Seok-ah.” Hoseok briefly flashes him a delighted smile, going back to gorging on his breakfast. Yoongi laughs at that, eyes twinkling with unadulterated joy.
“Also I was wondering if you wanted to go check out a cat cafe this weekend?” Hoseok slows down mid-chew, “This weekend?”
Yoongi nods. “I’m free, oh wait are we gonna be including the others too? Jimin likes going to cafe’s too so it would make sense—”
“Actually,” Yoongi interrupts, “I was hoping that it’d be just the two of us.” Hoseok gapes at him in wonder, and tilts his head like a confused puppy. Slowly he replies with a shrug, “sure, I’m good with that.”
Looking as though all of his personal issues were just eradicated with that statement, Yoongi sighs happily, “Oh and I’ll drop you off at home so don’t worry about the bus times.”
Hoseok agrees mutedly, heart rate speeding up for some reason. Disturbed by the sudden onslaught of butterflies in his stomach, Hoseok shakes his head, hands squishing his cheeks as a way of trying to will away the nerves from building up. Hoseok looks up to see Yoongi washing the dishes and gets up to help him with the task by drying them for him. They talk mindlessly about random things, when halfway through, Yoongi pokes fun at Hoseok being wasted the night before. To which Hoseok grumbles and pouts pathetically. This prompts Yoongi to burst out laughing, nudging Hoseok to try and irritate him even more. It's during this that Hoseok comes to the revelation of how… domestic they’re acting. And if the nerves were bothering him before, well now they’re a full-on problem.
The day of the pseudo-date, Yoongi drops by earlier than expected.
Well, not really. The day after the mess of an outing at the club, Yoongi has been texting Hoseok everyday, wishing him good morning and goodnight routinely. Hoseok, finding it extremely adorable because Yoongi is adorable by default, responds in kind and grows accustomed to their new routine.
Although, that just fuels the fire.
Sometimes Yoongi would just show up, cups of coffee in his hands and mentions that it’s payback for all the times Hoseok had unpromptedly treated him with such. Some days, mainly when Jimin was not around, he’d drop by and help Hoseok cook lunch or dinner. For a second Hoseok almost fools himself into thinking he’s flirting with him.
Almost.
Hoseok walks into Yoongi and Jimin whispering in the living room like they are about to conspire against him. He raises an eyebrow at them, but does not say anything. Soon enough, Jimin leaves the apartment saying something about a get-together with his parents. Hoseok shrugs it away, “Are we going right now?”
“Sure, we could leave right now.” Hoseok gives him the okay signal, going back to his room to put on a beige oversized sweater with a brown beanie, and a couple of bracelets. They quickly make their way to the cafe, Hoseok buzzing with excitement throughout.
The moment they enter, Hoseok gasps inaudibly with his hand coming up to cover his mouth. He turns to look at Yoongi enthusiastically, only to find him looking right at him. But Hoseok’s too preoccupied with the multiple cute cats roaming around freely. “Hey, Hob-ah, you wanna sit down maybe?”
Hoseok nods fervently, following the older to a cozy spot near the corner. “Iced americano, one cream, two sugars?” Yoongi asks offhandedly, getting a quick affirmation in response. Hoseok tries to get the attention of one specific cat, lazing not too far away. I wanna pet the floof!
He successfully manages to get the cat’s attention, the pure ball of fluff slowly walking towards him with no care in the world. Utterly ecstatic, Hoseok holds his arms out in anticipation. But his dream is shattered when Yoongi returns with their coffee and treats. Hoseok lets out a sad gasp at that and pouts. He hears Yoongi chuckle at him and he makes eye contact with him before seeing the chocolate croissant and macarons decorating their table. “Uh – did you pay for – Hyung!”
Yoongi laughs at him fondly, “what?” Hoseok gazes at him, bewildered. “I’m the one that asked you out so it’s only fair if I pay.”
Hoseok shakes his head at that, “you’re unbelievable,” he sighs exasperatedly. Yoongi grins in triumphance, “try the macarons, they were so expensive!” He slides the plate towards him. Hoseok’s jaw drops, “Yoongi!”
Hoseok loves the sound of thunder and rain, and even finds it relaxing. If only the people around him weren’t drowning it out so obnoxiously. He even sat further away from them purposely, cuddling into the soft blanket covering him on the couch, fantasy book in hand. He could hear the mindless chatter of Jimin, Namjoon and Yoongi slowly invading his concentration. Trying not to be affected by their insistent volume, he forces himself to try and get back into the story. Despite his aim to continue reading, unbeknownst to himself, Hoseok had fallen asleep on the sofa.
Oblivious to the amount of time that had passed since he’d passed out, Hoseok suddenly felt someone shaking him gently, “Seok… Seok, baby, wake up…”
Hoseok whined lowly, head lolling to the right. A hand had made its way to lightly cup Hoseok’s cheek, “Seokie… c’mon we gotta get you to bed, you’re gonna get neck cramps tomorrow if you stay here.”
Unwilling to physically and mentally get up, Hoseok had just ignored the person and continued sleeping soundly. Next thing he knew, he could faintly feel someone’s arm slip beneath his knees and neck, and he was off the couch. When he was put down, he could recognize his bed and smothered his face into his pillow, letting out a pleased sigh. Somewhere in his mind he heard someone’s gravelly chuckle, a hand caressing his face lovingly and a kiss on his forehead. Truth be told, if Hoseok had been more mindful and decided to pay attention then maybe he would have questioned the whole thing. But something in his mind told him that he was safe, and that ultimately, everything was okay.
Yoongi

Hoseok
U couldve just said that hyung,
I'm gonna get some popcorn on the way then!
“You know I can’t handle horror movies, Yoongi!”
“C'mon… they’re not that bad,” Yoongi elongated the ‘n’ on ‘c’mon’ with a seemingly forced whine. Hoseok glared back at him with annoyance and apprehension written all over his face. Yoongi threw a peace sign at him before clicking on the first horror movie he could find, and settling on the couch right beside Hoseok. “If it’s not scary, at least it’ll be funny.”
Hoseok let out a whimper of pain, “you just want to see me cry.” Yoongi let out a hearty laugh at that but did not deny or confirm. The movie started off pretty slow, nothing too interesting but despite that, Hoseok couldn't find it in him to relax completely. He stared at the screen anxiously, shoulders tensed. He figured if he prepared himself for anything scary then maybe he won’t overreact.
He was wrong.
When the first jump scare appeared, Hoseok jumped and grabbed onto Yoongi desperately. “Hey, hey… it’s fine that wasn’t even anything too bad.” Yoongi whispered softly.
Hoseok reflexively hid his face behind Yoongi’s shoulder, hands clinging onto his arm. “This… this is all your fault!” He screeched, terrified.
“I’m – i’m not moving, you’re – you’re just gonna have to deal with this.” Yoongi knocked his head onto Hoseok’s, “Okay.” If Hoseok had been paying more attention maybe he would’ve noticed his overtly fond tone, or even the way Yoongi had slightly turned to face him in order to make it more comfortable for Hoseok. As the atmosphere darkened throughout, Hoseok would cling on tighter to Yoongi eventually prompting him to wrap his arms around Hoseok’s middle so that he doesn’t accidentally fall off the couch. As he so claims.
At some point Hoseok ends up on Yoongi’s lap, head underneath his chin. He doesn’t even realize it himself and just snuggles into Yoongi as much as he can. Abruptly, Yoongi starts to move and it jostles Hoseok a little as he instinctively embraces his arms around Yoongi's neck.
“Oh sorry, I was trying to grab the blanket.”
Sounding insanely close to Hoseok’s ear, he moves back and notices that he’s legitimately on his lap. Hoseok’s eyes widen at the extreme closeness. He rushes to move out of the way and he barely hears the comment Yoongi makes before he miscalculates the difference and the next second they’re both tumbling off the couch in a flurry of limbs moving all around. Hoseok, who had closed his eyes at the sudden plummet, opened his eyes to find Yoongi above him, hand beneath his head. Probably what had softened the fall for him.
Yoongi seems concerned as he questions, “Are you okay?”
“Huh?” Hoseok says breathlessly, heart about to burst.
“Seok, are you okay? You didn't hit your head did you?” Oh. Hoseok shakes his head, “no – no – um i’m – uh, you—” Yoongi let out a relieved sigh. Gingerly removing his hand from behind Hoseok’s head. Entrapped beneath Yoongi, Hoseok squirmed a little, suddenly feeling self-conscious.
“Um, are you – are you gonna–” Hoseok stopped, unsure of what to say. Yoongi hummed questioningly, before finally considering the position that they’re in. Yet, he doesn’t make a move to get off. Rather, he tilts his head to the right mockingly, before leaning in near Hoseok’s ear and whispering, “yeah? Are you gonna continue that?”
Hoseok’s face flushed red. Glancing at his face, Yoongi snorted. He brought a hand up to cover his mischievous smile, and leaned back to get off Hoseok.
“Hyung!” Hoseok sprung up, “God, you’re so – ah! – I hate you.” Hoseok grabbed Yoongi back to him after seeing the image of the CGI ghost on the screen, the last part of his sentence muffled by Yoongi’s clothes. “Mhm yeah, I’ll believe you when you aren’t clinging to me.”
After some time passes, Hoseok mutters something that Yoongi does not hear and so he asks him to repeat it once more. “Is the movie done?”
“Yeah, it’s over.”
Hoseok frigidly lets go of Yoongi’s sweatshirt. When he confirms that the movie is in fact over, he exhales in relief.
Hoseok glares at Yoongi, “Want some hot chocolate?”
Taken aback, Hoseok nods. Yoongi tenderly grabs onto Hoseok’s hands, pulling him up with him. Once they are both up and heading towards the kitching, Yoongi intertwines his left hand with Hoseok’s right hand, swinging faintly. “Okay so I got a couple of flavored packets for you to try, which one do you want?”
He lays out a few different flavored hot chocolate packets, “Oh! The peppermint one for sure.” Yoongi smiles, “Okay.” He maneuvers the process of making the hot chocolate along with Hoseok’s help, unable to let go of his hand. However, once the hot chocolate is done, they have no choice but to let go, reluctantly grabbing onto the mug with two hands. Hoseok eagerly sips the hot chocolate, pleasantly surprised at the taste.
“Okay I think we should get married, this is just too good.”
Yoongi snorts, “Yeah? Even though all I did was buy it and mix it into some milk?”
“How much was it?” Yoongi makes a show of pointing it out with his hands, leaving Hoseok in shock, “I think marriage is easier.”
“Right and what are you gonna be giving me if i’m bringing the hot chocolate into this relationship?”
Hoseok murmurs thoughtfully, then he leans into Yoongi’s space regarding him with half-lidded eyes, seductively looking up through his lashes, “Well you’ll just have to see, yeah?” The surprised expression on his face has Hoseok giggling endlessly. Yoongi huffs exaggeratedly at him, “Okay drink up, I wanna sleep.”
“Okay,” Hoseok holds the y, “Even though you’re constantly napping.” Yoongi smacks his arm. Giggling once more, Hoseok grabs Yoongi’s face and jokingly smooches Yoongi’s cheek obnoxiously before placing his cup in the sink, “Okay, hyung—”
Yoongi hadn’t moved since Hoseok kissed him. Concerned, Hoseok waved his hand in front of his face, “Yoongi-hyung?”
As if struck, Yoongi blinked, dumbfounded. His eyes narrowed as he stared at Hoseok, before he forcefully took Hoseok hand near his mouth and kissed it while maintaining eye contact with him. Then, he smirked at him in victory, winking at Hoseok playfully.
Days go by where Yoongi is at Hoseok’s side like a cute, loyal puppy. And he adores it. Him. Although, a part of him feels guilty because he feels like he’s taking up his time, and it hurts to do that to him when he is, knowingly, enjoying his time with him. Hoseok’s aware of his feelings for him, he’d be a fool not to notice after the whole horror movie night fiasco. The way Yoongi had stared down at him from above made him feel things.
Luckily. Luckily, it’s only a small crush and if he wills it away then hopefully, it will go away. Hopefully …
Not that it helps spending that much time with Yoongi, but he cannot help it. Whenever Yoongi texts him, he’ll respond. Whenever he calls him up, he’ll pick up. At this point it’s like Yoongi is conspiring against him too.
Just the other day, they stayed up late, working on important stuff for deadlines and whatnot. Hoseok was slowly nodding off, and as he was about to hit the keyboard of his laptop, Yoongi had reached an arm out. Effectively stopping him. He gently moved Hoseok’s head to rest on his shoulder instead, hand awkwardly petting his head. When Hoseok started rousing from his slumber, Yoongi had abandoned his work and started to help him sit up properly. That night, he whispered to him softly, “Hey, Seok-ah… oh angel, careful.” As he maneuvered him with the faintest touch, making sure that he didn’t walk into any corners or walls.
And Hoseok yearned. He yearned ever so deeply that he felt like crying at the depth of his loneliness. Thoughts taunted by fear, he held himself back from saying something because like everyone else, he was afraid of the inevitable abandon.
On a day like the first time they met, Hoseok found himself trapped under the hooded roof of a building without an umbrella. Couples of people walked around, laughing and talking under their umbrellas, and Hoseok feels the want aching in his heart. Giving up, Hoseok sighs. He places one foot out into the rain splattered floor,
“Hoseok!”
He turns to see Yoongi with the same umbrella from then. Yoongi ran up to him urgently, Covering him completely. “You’re gonna get sick if you walk out into the rain like that.”
“Hyung…” Hoseok stared at him gratefully, “You – I – how?”
Yoongi gave him a worried look, “I was just on my way home, and I spotted your dumbass about to make a really regrettable mistake.”
Hoseok giggled a bit mirthlessly, “Yeah… you showed up at the right time.”
“God, hob-ah…” Yoongi pulled him closer, interlacing their hands together, “Come on, let’s go to my place.”
Yoongi had given him an oversized sweater when they arrived, and even offered his sweatpants but Hoseok had declined, saying he could just stay in his boxers and wait for his pants to dry. They were sitting on Yoongi’s bed, the older one of the two reading some sort of romance book. Hoseok aggressively shoved his face into one of his pillows, wailing all the while.
Catching Yoongi’s attention, “Hoseok-ah… are you… good?”
Hoseok’s reply was muffled by the pillow. He turned his face to look up at Yoongi with a frown settled on his face, “What are you reading?”
“A romance—”
“Yeah I know but what is it about, what’s happening?” Yoongi glanced at him momentarily, before focusing on the book, “Well… the love interest just found the main character crying in one of the isolated rooms, and started comforting them.”
Hoseok hums wistfully, “Must be nice.”
Dropping the book open on his legs, Yoongi asks, “What must be nice?” Hoseok gets up lazily, “Being the love interest in a perfectly crafted love story.”
Yoongi’s frown deepens, “Why would you want a story when you can create one right here?”
“Yoongi-hyung, I would need to be a person of interest for someone to have that happen to me—”
Yoongi silences him automatically with, “So I don't count?”
Hoseok freezes in his spot. “What?” Yoongi sighs, shuffling around to put the book on the bedside table before he sits closer to Hoseok, one leg crossed over the other.
“So what you’re saying is that, I, don’t count?”
“I – hyung, what –” Hoseok gulps, “You – you like me?”
“Yeah, I thought the flirting was obvious to you!”
Hoseok raised his hands in disbelief, “How – what!? No, I didn't know – I can't even begin to – you were flirting with me?”
Yoongi narrows his eyes with intent, skepticism written all over his features. His eyes darkened ever so slightly, “Oh so that guy flirting with you at the bar was obvious but somehow, when it’s me—”
“Ok first of all,” Hoseok cuts him off, “A guy saying he wants to fuck me doesn’t leave me with much room to think otherwise.” Hoseok inhales, ignoring Yoongi's ‘he said what?’ and continues speaking, “I – I thought you were just – I thought – I thought that was just you being friendly or whatever.”
“I asked you out!” Yoongi exclaims.
“I didn't know that was a date!” Hoseok retorts. Yoongi gawks at him in bewilderment, “You seriously didn’t know?” Hoseok shakes his head.
“Well…” Yoongi pauses, eyes trailing over Hoseok’s body, “I like you. In fact, I am gone for you. Actually I am so far into the deep end that I’m falling and I don’t know when it ends and all I see is you .”
Hoseok doesn’t move an inch, “I – fuck – Yoongi couldn’t you have just said it normally? Now if I just say I like you back it doesn't sound as impressive.” Hoseok is pretty sure that he’s talking, he can feel his mouth moving, but the sound of his heart beat is so deafening that he’s not entirely sure. It gets worse when Yoongi smiles at him ever-so lovingly.
It makes him feel all dizzy, and it’s so overwhelming. His brain failing to properly catch up with the turn of events. He can practically feel the heat increasing all over his body, making him feel unsteady. Yoongi shuffles in closer, his hands finding Hoseok’s and interweaving unthinkingly. Hoseok feels so completely undone and lightheaded when Yoongi asks, “Does this mean you’ll kiss me now?”
Giddiness takes over and Hoseok chuckles in surprise, “Hmm… I don’t know.” He tilts his head teasingly, “Will I?”
════════════════════
Yoongi walks to the front of the cafe, stepping outside the door before stopping right in front of the thundering rain. He notices a presence beside him that he presumably was too irritated at the rain to focus on.
“Forgot your umbrella too?” He hears the man ask, and he turns to look at him questioningly.
Oh.
He's pretty.
Yoongi points at himself, cautious and wary about the situation regardless. The absolutely breathtaking man smiles, nodding, and dear christ Yoongi would sell his soul to the voodoo man just to see him smiling like that at him everyday. Realizing he hadn’t responded, Yoongi awkwardly coughs, “uh… yeah, didn’t think to check the weather app.”
He laughs. “Yeah me too!” He laughs prettily too. Fuck, he’s an angel. Yoongi is aware that he’s probably staring back at the man incredulously, blinking repeatedly, but it’s hard to face a literal angel smiling and laughing with him. In front of him! Oh fuck my gay old heart.
Yoongi can’t look away. I should, he thinks and he starts to move before an employee announces their existence to the two, “hey, uh, we have an umbrella you guys could use? It’s only one but, um, you could share… I guess?”
The pretty angel beside him nods excitedly. Cute.
He suddenly faces him again, “is it okay if we share? Or you could take it if you want.” He’s about to give the umbrella to Yoongi, who refuses gruffly, “I’m fine with sharing…”
He’s an angel! I swear, who gives up an umbrella to someone else when it was given to you first?
They walk in complete silence until the other man speaks up, “oh hey where do you live?” He vaguely mentions where he lives, the other guy also indulging him that information unsuspectingly. They keep walking, Yoongi internally freaking out over how to ask the guy for his phone number, or his name dumbass! Get his name first!
All of a sudden, “ah! Okay, I’m close enough to just run the rest of the distance.” Yoongi opens his mouth to retaliate in hopes of getting a name at least, but the other is already bowing and running the next minute, waving a farewell.
You’re utterly pathetic.
Yoongi’s thinking about him when he sees him next. To be fair, he spots him dancing at a party, looking utterly sinful. Maybe he’s really a devil? Gah, shut up Yoongi you’re so embarrassing.
Yoongi starts psyching himself up, trying to find a way to get closer to him. He waits for an opening, hoping that he’ll stop dancing soon and take a break near the door to the front lawn. Oh so conveniently near him. Yoongi breathes in and out a couple of times, readying himself. Unfortunately, the moment he looks back at the dancing fray, the man is gone.
Shit.
“Hyung?” He hears a recognizable voice call out to him, and he whirs around to see Namjoon. A friend, thank fuck. “Hey, what’re you doing here… didn’t think you were one for parties.”
Namjoon chuckles, “I could say the same to you.” Yoongi shrugs, “a friend of mine invited, and then he just left.”
Thanks Seokjin. He rolls his eyes. Namjoon glances around the room, presumably looking for someone. “Huh… I wonder…”
“Hyung,” Namjoon starts, “wanna meet a few friends of mine?”
Yoongi is about to turn down his offer, but then backtracks at the last second. Sighing, he goes, “sure, why not.” Not like I’m gonna find the pretty angel here anymore. Namjoon guides him to the entrance of the party, taking him out of the wretched place.
“Hoseok-ah! Jimin-ah!” Two hidden figures that were sitting down on the front lawn turn back to look at Namjoon, “I want you guys to meet my friend.”
Yoongi watches as the two stumble trying to stand up, the taller holding onto the shorter one tightly. In the darkness, Yoongi squints his eyes, “Yoongi-hyung, this is Jimin,” Jimin waves his hand, “and this… is Hoseok-ah.” Namjoon gestures at the taller one, and that’s when Yoongi sees him, pretty angel!
Hoseok – god, he’s got such a pretty name too – abruptly looks up at them, and smiles whilst giggling drunkenly, “Hi!” Yoongi watches as recognition finds its way to Hoseok’s eyes, “Oh! You’re the – the guy! Umbrella!”
Yoongi chuckles, a husky tone to it - that might’ve been on purpose who knows - “Yeah, never got your name that time.” Namjoon glances between the two of them, “You guys… already met?”
“Yeah, oh I was at a cafe,” Hoseok turns to look at Jimin, “You know the one… the um… white rabbit?” He stumbles through his words, clearly drunk.
“Oh! You went without me?” Jimin pouts.
“Uh… oops?” Hoseok makes a tiny sound at that, and Yoongi just wants to squish him.
When Yoongi tunes back into the conversation they’re having, he hears Jimin go, "If we even try to let him finish his sentence, we’re gonna be here for hours.” Namjoon guffaws at that, “Yeah you’re right we should probably get you two home.”
Hoseok seems worried, “but didn’t you drink?”
“It’s fine, we got Yoongi-hyung here for that.” Yoongi shows the keys in his hand, hoping that he looks as sexy as he wants to right now. Maybe Hoseok would be into that. Jimin shyly asks them to stay over for the night, and Yoongi’s jumping with joy on the inside, completely stoic on the outside.
Yet… the second they arrive, Hoseok calls dibs on Namjoon. Uncertain of the reason why, Yoongi turns to ask Jimin, “He likes to cuddle people in his sleep.” Jimin replies succinctly before Yoongi could even open his mouth.
Oh…
Yoongi knows it's probably platonic. He prays that it is, and tries to stop the little flame of envy that lit up the second he saw the two leave. Not that it matters, Yoongi tells himself, he wouldn’t have had a chance when he barely knows the guy.
So! Plan a - get to know Hoseok better, starts tomorrow morning.
Yoongi wakes up to the sound of incessant prattling, and he finds Namjoon moving around in the kitchen, “Is Namjoon in the kitchen right now,” he deadpans.
Hoseok cackles at that,“Look! Even Yoongi-ssi knows!” Yoong proceeds to tell him to call him ‘hyung,’ to which he responds with, “Sure, hyung!” Smiling so brightly, Yoongi does a double take at the view. His smile is a heart.
Yoongi lost. He’s not winning this, not when the shape of his smile is literally a heart, it cannot get any better than this. For some reason though, Yoongi can tell that it will. And it does get better.
He dances. Professionally.
Thinking back to the sight of him dancing at the party explains it. Call him thirsty, but the first thought that flashed into his head was, I wonder how flexible he is. He immediately gets rid of the thought, ashamed at himself for jumping the gun so early. When Namjoon and him are making their way to the door, he catches the point of conversation and turns to see Hoseok Frowning. Dazed, Yoongi realizes that his frown is in the shape of a triangle, it’s the ‘ㅅ’ letter.
The sight almost makes him forget the question he was gonna ask, “I’m – i’m heading down there, if you want we can go together?” When Hoseok readily agrees, Yoongi’s heart is in for a tornado of feelings.
“Wanna get some coffee?” Yoongi’s positively dying from the lack of coffee during breakfast and prays that Hoseok agrees. Hoseok visibly perks up at the suggestion, “Yeah, sure!”
Yoongi watches as he orders, and adds in his order as well, reaching out to pay. “Ah – Yoongi-hyung, wait—”
Too late. Yoongi smirks at him, “Whoops.” Hoseok gapes at him, “I’m paying next time.” He enunciates definitively. Hoseok indulges him in a conversation about his internship at Hybe, and he happens to call attention to the mention of Jimin regardless of topic. He guesses that it makes sense considering it's about dance, but it seems almost habitual.
Curious about that, Yoongi goes, “You and Jimin are pretty close huh?” He watches as Hoseok nods happily, talking about how long they’ve known each other and Namjoon thereafter. The empty coffee cup that Hoseok’s flaunting around like a dog’s toy catches his eye, and he swiftly takes it from the other’s hand and throws it away.
“So like, you and Jimin aren’t… together…?” Hoseok gives him a look, “oh, us? Like dating? No!” Hoseok laughs, “why? Are you interested in Jimin?”
The fact that Hoseok assumes it’s Jimin he’s attracted to instead of himself, even if it may be a tactic, it’s too genuine sounding to be one. Yoongi decides to risk it by saying, “who said anything about Jimin?” But Hoseok only reacts with confusion, as if astounded by another possible reason than Jimin being the main source of attraction.
“What about you though, are you single?” Hoseok’s tone is so overly curious, highlighting that he really doesn’t have any other motives aside from authentic curiosity. It makes Yoongi want to wish for another motive despite that.
“Nah…” He doesn't elaborate, afraid to say something that would potentially scare off Hoseok. Soon enough, they get to the building. Reluctant to say goodbye without knowing when they’d next see each other, Yoongi asks for Hoseok’s phone number, delighted to see the other reciprocate enthusiastically.
Typing…
Yoongi knows he’s properly acting desperate and clingy, but he’s bored out of his mind, and Hoseok is nearby. Probably. If he’s interning, naturally he should be. This wouldn’t be the first time Hoseok is invited to his studio inadvertently, and it definitely is not the last. Yoongi is about to send another text when Hoseok comes barrelling in, coffee in hand.
He bows mockingly, “I bring an offering with me, your majesty.”
Fuck, I hope you are the offering. Yoongi cringes at himself. Unable to form a proper response, Yoongi just stares, “Hoseok…”
Hoseok offhandedly calls him speechless, before fluttering his eyelashes provocatively. And it becomes a temptation that Yoongi has to forcefully ignore, pushing the heat down to complete zero. Still Yoongi won’t pass up the opportunity to compliment him, even if it’s just agreeing with a simple statement, “You… really are.”
The blush on his face is a reward to Yoongi. He looks so positively adorable and the urge he has to squish his cheeks, and kiss him senseless gets stronger. It's mortifying in theory but Yoongi knew that if he was given the chance, he would take it. Hoseok whines at the acclaim, pouting. I wanna kiss you so. badly.
“Anyways, Jimin-ah is taking us to a club tomorrow night, thought I’d let you know in advance.”
“But—” Yoongi tries to protest, but Hoseok cuts him off, “Hyung, it’s winter break.” Hoseok is leaning in closer and Yoongi’s eyes flashes to his lips before making eye contact with him, “Please?”
He can’t say no. He knows it, he tried denying it. He won’t say no. “Okay, fine…” he sighs. I guess I could make due with a drink but—
“Are you gonna be drinking?”
“Of course I mean,” Hoseok grins with teeth, “Jiminie’s offering to pay.”
Nevermind. Drinks are off the table if Hoseok’s not gonna have anyone else making sure he’s okay. “Mmm, okay.” Yoongi decides that he’s better off not drinking, in case anything could happen to Hoseok and he can’t retaliate accordingly. Usually Yoongi would suggest that they drink at each other’s places instead, but when Jimin makes a plan, they stick to the plan. No matter what. Or so he is told.
He’s late.
Oh sue him, he had a deadline. Yoongi huffs as he enters the club with much disdain. And it gets worse when he does not find Hoseok right away. Meaning he’s drunk off his ass, god knows where. Yoongi manages to find Namjoon, and engages in talking about some random bullshit that he cannot really focus on seeing that Hoseok isn’t beside him. He was the only reason he came anyway. Not to get something from him, but just to be with him.
It’s scary how much time Yoongi could spend doing nothing with Hoseok and he would still enjoy it. Hoseok makes him feel loved. Generally. He’s so open with affection and words of affirmation that it's blinding. Yoongi often feels the need to give back but whenever he tries, he gets nervous and anxious, fear bubbling in his stomach like poison. He quickly finishes talking to Namjoon and sets out to look for Hoseok.
He spots him at the bar a few moments later, but he’s not alone. He watches as this man… stretches out a hand for Hoseok to shake only to pull him in extremely close. Yoongi inhales. Hoseok is blushing. A lot.
Yoongi exhales. He walks a bit closer, body heavy. They talk amongst themselves, no attention paid to their surroundings whatsoever. But the band snaps when the guy places his arm on Hoseok’s dainty waist. Oh fuck no.
Yoongi feels like he’s been woken suddenly, and rushes to get to Hoseok. The two of them are so close that if he accidentally pushed them together, they’d probably end up – shit don’t think about it. Yoongi successfully manages to grasp onto Hoseok’s arm, pulling him back with a hand behind him. He hears Hoseok whisper his name in confusion, “Sorry…” Yoongi addresses the dude, “We need to be getting back, and he’s drunk.”
Without waiting for a response, Yoongi leaves. Taking Hoseok with him. Once they get to a more secluded area, he questions him immediately, “Hoseok-ah, what did he want?”
“Um… uh—” Hoseok’s flushed face isn’t making it better, and the image is stuck in Yoongi’s head. The hand on his waist, their faces an inch apart, Hoseok - a bright shade of red. He’s aware that he’s jealous and has no right to be, but who does this person think he is. Flirting with Hoseok when he obviously deserves better. His emotions are at the level of a forest fire, and the only thing that's stopping him from reacting harshly is Hoseok. It's always Hoseok.
Hoseok’s gaze is stuck on the dirt-ridden, sticky floor. Tenderly, Yoongi places his hand on Hoseok’s chin and guides his face to look back up at him, “Hob-ah.” His voice is soft, “What was he saying?”
Yoongi needs to know, he just needs to. Because for a second. For a second there, it looked like Hoseok was about to kiss him. The look of acceptance in his eyes carried a weight that Yoongi was afraid to uncover. For if he did, he would be left heartbroken. Yoongi chalks up his desire to know to convince himself that Hoseok was persuaded by the situation and not just by him.
Hoseok mutters, “So close,” and Yoongi realizes their position is similar - if not, even more closer - than earlier with the man. Yoongi drops his hand and steps back, “Sorry.” Hoseok’s eyes widened.
“No uh – no, hyung it's not – um, you just surprised me!” Hoseok steps back, unaware of the couch nearby and falls to the ground. Yoongi crouches to be in front of him and holds his eye contact, determined to get an answer. “Seok-ah…”
“Yeah?”
“What,” Yoongi leans in further, “did he say to you?” Hoseok audibly gulps.
“Nothing, hyung… it was just mindless chatter.” His tone of voice sounds off. Nervous. Yoongi scoffs internally, eyes narrowing. “Then why did you seem so… bashful?”
The way – the way he was blushing, his eyes glazed over. There was intent and there was an effect. Hoseok doesn’t respond.
“I mean,” Yoongi breathes, hand coming up to cup Hoseok’s cheek, “you were so red.” and you weren’t looking at me.
Hoseok’s mouth opens, and he rambles, “well you know, he was just flirting? I guess, I don't know… I mean it’s the first time someone’s approached me directly instead of asking for Jimin-related advice and I thought maybe this was my chance, ‘cause it’s just so unlikely. What’s the worst that could’ve even happened? I mean he was forward, but it was nice for once—”
Oh so… “he’s your type? Tall and what, like a mediocre average looking guy?”
“What?” Hoseok blinks. “No? No! It’s not that… it was just – well, I mean he came to me and I’m not gonna lie, Yoongi, at that moment that was enough for me.”
Yoongi rolls his eyes, jealousy imminent. “Seriously I don’t get why this matters, I mean yeah sure he was like the first guy to genuinely show interest in me, I’m sorry if I’m just so desperate.”
Surprised by the statement, Yoongi adds, “It’s not that, Hoseok, I mean you deserve someone better obviously. But is that really all you want?”
“Who cares what I want, hyung?” Hoseok spat out bitterly. I do and so should you!
Yoongi butts in, “Well first of all you should—”
“It doesn’t matter. I don’t see why this is so important to you all of a sudden!” Because you’re important to me, goddammit.
“Because you’re just putting yourself down by latching onto some random guy that’s – what – interested in you?” Yoongi explains hopelessly. He knew that there was a chance that Hoseok might not like him back, but him responding in kind to a total stranger? Not only, but just because he got his mere attention for a few minutes. This stranger does not care about Hoseok the way he should if he were to try and even get closer to him, but also all he wants is just another fuck. He can’t subject Hoseok to being someone’s piece of meat.
Hoseok sighs sadly, “Yes, okay, yes maybe that’s the only reason why, but if he’s the only guy that is attracted to me by far why should I pass this up?”
Yoongi mumbles, “I’m attracted to you, more than he is…”
“Huh?”
Jealousy turned to sadness, Yoongi gave up, “Let’s just… go home, Seok.” He runs a hand through his hair, defeated. Hoseok appears as though he’s gonna decline but then just agrees in the end. “I’m sorry for attacking you mindlessly, I just – you disappeared on us… and I was worried,” Yoongi explains.
Hoseok embraces him. Warmth floods his senses, and Yoongi chuckles dryly. Yoongi carelessly wraps an arm around his waist. They stay in each other’s arms for a while until Hoseok lets go, hands naturally coming together to keep him from crashing into something. “For what it’s worth, I didn’t blame you, hyung. I was just caught up in the moment.”
Yoongi’s hand suddenly tightens in his hold, thoughts surfacing in his mind. He nods outwardly. Am I… not enough? Or am I not doing enough? The car ride back to his place is eerily quiet, and Yoongi can’t help but get lost in his thoughts. He had only noticed that Hoseok fell asleep when they arrived. He smiled fondly at the younger man, sorrow inescapably tainting it. Not wanting to wake Hoseok, he just picks him up bridal style and carries him up to his apartment effortlessly. He thoughtlessly places Hoseok in his bed, and silently slips off his shoes and button down shirt. Grabbing his own t-shirt, he dressed him with it on and switched out Hoseok’s pants to his pajama pants. When Hoseok’s finally tucked into his bed, Yoongi leaves to sleep on his couch, tempted to fall asleep next to Hoseok but not without his spoken consent.
Yoongi planned to wake up earlier to make Hoseok breakfast, but by the time he’s done, Hoseok is still asleep. Not wanting the food to get cold, he walks to his room to watch as Hoseok springs up in his bed, sleepily glancing around with perplexity. His bedhead… so cute. To get his attention, he raps his knuckles on the door to his bedroom, pleasantly entertained.
Hoseok rapidly turns around like someone had insulted his very existence, “Hyung?”
“Hey, you’re finally sounding articulate. I just brought you to my place by the way, Jimin hadn’t gone to yours and I didn’t know where your keys were.” Hoseok rubs his eyes, stretching as he stands up. He stretches in his place, Yoongi’s eyes can’t help but trail over his body. The shirt slightly falling off of hoseok’s shoulder, and the way it perfectly encapsulates his delicate body. God I wanna fuck him in my shirt. Hoseok realizes that he’s staring and he timidly grabs the end of his shirt, oh my god he’s so –
“Where’s the washroom, hyung?”
Yoongi points to the area on his left, “There’s a blue toothbrush that you can use, it's unused. When you’re done, come to the living room to eat, I made breakfast.” Hoseok mockingly salutes at him. When Hoseok comes down to the kitchen, he looks floored.
“Did… you make all of this?” Yoongi preens at his stunned voice, nodding reservedly.
“Yoongi-hyung! This is the best thing I’ve ever had, oh my god. ” He moans in excitement from the deliciousness. Yoongi watches as he gobbles down the food, head resting on his right hand.
“I’m glad you like it, Seok-ah.” Yoongi smiles fondly at the brief flash of a smile, eyes filled with mirth. Confident about the situation, Yoongi decides to go for it.
C’mon. You can do this. Just – just say it. Outright. Now.
“Also I was wondering if you wanted to go check out a cat cafe this weekend?” Hoseok slows down mid-chew, “This weekend?”
“I’m free, oh wait are we gonna be including the others too? Jimin likes going to cafe’s too so it would make sense—” Wait no it’s a date
“Actually,” Yoongi cuts in, “I was hoping that it’d be just the two of us.” Hoseok gapes at him in wonder, and tilts his head like a confused puppy. Cute. “Sure, I’m good with that.”
Relieved, Yoongi lets out a sigh. Powered by the intake of conviction, he even adds in, “Oh and I’ll drop you off at home so don’t worry about the bus times.” When Hoseok agrees without another word, Yoongi heads off to his room and pumps a fist in the air in success of his plan working out. More like, him not backing out, but it works.
We’re going on a date,
Fuck I’m going on a date! With Hoseok!
Yoongi had felt a surge of energy go through him the day he asked him out, and since then he’d been texting Hoseok whenever he had the opportunity. He’d even go out of his way to actively flirt with him, leaving him positively flustered every time, and it was so fucking cute. He would start blushing and fidgeting in his spot, and Yoongi wanted to try getting closer all the time. And when he would go out to grab a cup of coffee, he’d make sure to get two for the both of them.
The day of the date, Yoongi had left really early and happened to catch Jimin at the apartment before he went off to his rendezvous.
“Oh Hyung,” Jimin said in singsong tone, “You look real fancy.”
Yoongi smirks, “Good.”
Jimin mouth forms an ‘o’ in shock, interest piqued. “Who’s the lucky person hm?”
“Seok-ah, if he gets the hint that is…” Jimin gasps, “Oh my god, yes! Hyung, you snake-bastard, stealing the heart of my Hoseokie-hyung!”
Yoongi snorts, “Trying to anyway.”
“Okay, i’ll give you some advice cause I think you’d be good for him,” Jimin sticks out his forefinger, “Hoseok likes to come off as this independent, burden-bearing, domineering person, which he is… but that’s because in his daily life he likes to have control and rarely lets others influence that.” Yoongi nods to show that he’s listening intently.
“But, that means he doesn’t have anyone else that takes care of him because he only depends on himself," Yoongi didn’t know what he was expecting to hear but that was not it, “and also with how controlling he is, I’d wager that he likes to give up control when he’s vulnerable…”
Right at that moment, Hoseok walks into the living room. Taking that as his cue to leave, Jimin says his farewell to the two, not without winking at Yoongi.
“Are we going right now?”
“Sure, we could leave right now.” Hoseok gives him the okay signal, quickly running back to his room.
Yoongi knows he chose the right place when he sees Hoseok’s eyes light up when they approach the cafe. Proud of his decision, he gently nudges Hoseok, “hey, Hob-ah, you wanna sit down maybe?” He guides them to a table, reciting Hoseok’s usual coffee order before heading off to buy them the drinks. The pastries on the counter catches his eyes, and he ponders over buying a couple and gives in.
When comes back to the table, he sees Hoseok pout at the cat running away. He clears his throat, fortunately getting him to turn around. The shock in his voice is obvious when he notes, “uh – did you pay for – Hyung!”
Yoongi laughs at him fondly, “what?” Hoseok gawks at him. “I’m the one that asked you out so it’s only fair if I pay.” He hears Hoseok call him unbelievable and starts to move the plate of pastries towards Hoseok, “try the macarons, they were so expensive!”
He came to spend time with Hoseok, not that he minds being around the others. Unfortunately Hoseok did not seem to be in the mood to participate, and isolated himself on the couch that's a bit away from the others sitting at the coffee table. He’s reading a novel and Yoongi understands that he should not disturb him, but I want his attention on me.
He looks so cozy, all bundled up on the couch. Not that Yoongi would admit it, but he wants to cuddle him. Later on, when Hoseok’s fallen asleep on the sofa, Yoongi realizes he should probably wake him up to get him to bed. Namjoon and Jimin had left to go grab some store bought ramyun for their unhealthy eating habits. Shaking him gently, “Seok… Seok, baby, wake up…”
Oh – I called him baby. Hoseok whined drowsily, and Yoongi took that as a sign to continue, “Seokie… c’mon we gotta get you to bed, you’re gonna get neck cramps tomorrow if you stay here.”
Not being able to wake him up, Yoongi chooses to just pick him up and carry him to his bed. When he tenderly places him there, he stays for a second. Gazing at him, watching as Hoseok releases a pleased sigh. Yoongi reflexively cups a hand to his cheek, thumb rubbing back and forth. He chuckles at the needy whine that Hoseok lets out a second after chasing his hand. His hand lowers gradually, thumb catching on his bottom lip. He steadily swipes his thumb across, mind heavy with ideas. He’s so fuckable. Yoongi notes the softness of his lips, craving to feel them on his own.
Maybe one day.
Yoongi had been planning to invite Hoseok over since the first time he brought him over. A movie night was the best way to do it, he thought. A big fan of thrillers and scary movies, he automatically suggests they watch a bone-chilling horror movie. Hoseok refutes that, stubbornly wanting to watch something else. Despite it all, Yoongi manages to get the upper-hand and plays the movie.
At first it’s fine. He believes that Hoseok was simply overreacting to the notion of watching a horror movie rather than the movie being scary itself. Then the first jump scare occurs. Hoseok had grabbed onto Yoongi as tightly as he possibly could. Trying to soothe him he goes, “hey, hey… it’s fine that wasn’t even anything too bad.”
He supportively rubs a hand on his back. Hoseok only moves in closer, “this… this is all your fault!”
Hoseok mutters fearfully, “i’m – i’m not moving, you’re – you’re just gonna have to deal with this.” Yoongi knocked his head onto Hoseok’s, “okay.” I’m fine with being as close to you as I can be. Yoongi had shuffled subtly, trying to fit Hoseok into his space so that he could be comfortable in his position. He secures an arm around Hoseok’s waist to ensure that he doesn’t fall. Totally.
Somehow, as time goes on, Hoseok ends up on his lap scrunched into a little ball. He feels him shiver, and Yoongi hastily moves to grab the blanket but that gains Hoseok’s attention. “Oh sorry, I was trying to grab the blanket,” He whispers directly in his ear.
Hoseok must’ve felt the lack of distance between the two, cause he startles backwards and tries to get off his lap but that leads to a mishap of a series of things happening at once. Not realizing that going back would just result in his demise, Hoseok attempts to get off but goes the wrong direction. Yoongi notices that he might fall and reaches out to protect him by securing his other arm behind his head. Because of that, the two get entangled and fall off the couch together. Increasingly worried Yoongi asks, “Are you okay?”
“Huh?” Hoseok says breathlessly, he sounds like he’s just been fu—
“Seok, are you okay? You didn't hit your head did you?” Hoseok shakes his head, “no – no – um i’m – uh, you—” He stumbles and stutters embarrassingly, fidgeting and squirming underneath Yoongi. As if enchanted by the way he flushes, Yoongi leans in closer, voice rough and deep, “yeah? Are you gonna continue that?”
Hoseok turns tomato red and Yoongi laughs, moving up to get off. I wouldn’t mind having you under me for other reasons…
“Hyung!” He squeals. “God, you’re so – ah! – I hate you.” Hoseok grabbed Yoongi back to him after seeing the image of the CGI ghost on the screen, the last part of his sentence muffled by Yoongi’s clothes. “Mhm yeah, I’ll believe you when you aren’t clinging to me.”
When the movie ends, Yoongi makes an offer of truce, “Want some hot chocolate?”
The nod he gets in response is utterly adorable that he has to stop himself from cooing out loud. Yoongi tenderly grabs onto Hoseok’s hands, pulling him up with him. Once they are both up and heading towards the kitchen, Yoongi intertwines his left hand with Hoseok’s right hand, swinging faintly. “Okay so I got a couple of flavored packets for you to try, which one do you want?”
He shows them to Hoseok, “Oh! The peppermint one for sure.”
Yoongi grins, gummy smile on display, “Okay.” He maneuvers around the kitchen while still holding Hoseok’s hand with no intention of letting go. Until he finally finishes, they have no choice but to let go, reluctantly grabbing onto the mug with two hands. Hoseok takes his first sip, stars in his eyes. He smiles at Yoongi with pursed lips, dimples popping. Rejecting the urge to touch it, he sips his own drink.
“Okay I think we should get married, this is just too good.” Okay, right now, let’s go.
Hoseok hums thoughtfully. All of a sudden, the air around him changes as he leans forward into Yoongi’s space. He looks up at him, a sultry expression on his face, “Well you’ll just have to see, yeah?” The sensual tone to his voice does worse things to his mind, and Yoongi is ready to risk it all. Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck, I wanna fuck you so bad.
Yoongi exhales in shock, to which Hoseok giggles relentlessly.
Worn out from the change in atmosphere, Yoongi scolds the other in his mind, “Okay drink up, I wanna sleep.”
“Okay,” Hoseok holds the y, “Even though you’re constantly napping.” Yoongi smacks his arm. Giggling once more, Hoseok grabs Yoongi’s face and jokingly smooches Yoongi’s cheek obnoxiously before leaving him to place his mug in the sink. Yoongi - stunned, and utterly fucked - stands there frozen in his spot. Hoseok waved his hand in front of his face when he saw that he hadn’t moved an inch, “Yoongi-hyung?”
As if struck by lightning, Yoongi jumped back slightly. His eyes narrowed as he stared at Hoseok, gingerly grabbing his hand and kissing it while holding eye contact. The redness on his cheeks did not go unnoticed, and Yoongi smirked victoriously before winking at him with all intents and purposes. Yoongi lets go of his hand, and tucks a strand of Hoseok’s hair behind his ear, “That’s what you get, sweetheart.”
Hoseok sputters.
Around two weeks pass of Yoongi being glaringly obvious with his flirting. At this point Yoongi can’t tell if Hoseok is just straight up clueless or in denial. He’s on his way back home, when it suddenly starts pouring midway. Luckily he brought his umbrella. He loses focus of his original brainstorm when he sees Hoseok step one foot out into the rain without an umbrella, and shouts hurriedly,
“Hoseok!” Yoongi ran up to him, Covering him completely.
Hoseok giggled a bit mirthlessly, “yeah… you showed up at the right time.” Why are you sad?
“God, hob-ah…” Yoongi pulled him closer, interlacing their hands together, “come on, let’s go to my place.”
Yoongi gets him sets of comfortable clothes to wear, knowing that his work clothes are sweaty and sticky by now. They both change, and Yoongi drags Hoseok to his bedroom. Sensing that the other doesn’t wanna talk, Yoongi just lays him there and grabs a book to read. Until Hoseok starts groaning into his pillow with contempt. Yoongi asks if he’s okay but only gets a question about the book he’s reading instead, and explains the romantic build up of what is happening in the story.
“Must be nice.”
Yoongi stops. “What must be nice?” Hoseok leisurely sits up, “being the love interest in a perfectly crafted love story.” But you’re–
“Why would you want a story when you can create one right here?” Yoongi doesn’t understand. I’m right here, his heart wails achingly.
“Yoongi-hyung, I would need to be a person of interest for someone to have that happen to me—”
He impatiently cuts in with, “so I don't count?”
Hoseok freezes in his spot. “What?” Yoongi sighs, shuffling around to put the book on the bedside table before he sits closer to Hoseok, one leg crossed over the other.
“So what you’re saying is that, I, don’t count?”
Silence.
“I – hyung, what –” Hoseok putters, “you – you like me?” Of course.
“Yeah, I thought the flirting was obvious to you!” I wasn’t even hiding it.
Hoseok shook his head, dumbfounded. “How – what!? No, I didn't know – I can't even begin to – you were flirting with me?”
Yoongi narrows his eyes with intent, jealousy now burning inside. His eyes darkened, “oh so that guy flirting with you at the bar was obvious but somehow, when it’s me—”
“Ok first of all,” Hoseok cuts him off, “a guy saying he wants to fuck me doesn’t leave me with much room to think otherwise.” Yoongi exclaims, “he said what!?” Yoongi’s glad he got to Hoseok in time that day. Lord knows that he would’ve hated to find out that they fucked the next day. He understands how irrational he sounds but, even the idea of someone seeing Hoseok in a way that he hasn’t gotten to experience hurts .
“I – I thought you were just – I thought – I thought that was just you being friendly or whatever.”
“I asked you out!” Yoongi shouts incredulously.
“I didn't know that was a date!” Hoseok replies. Yoongi gapes at him, “you seriously didn’t know?” Hoseok shakes his head hopelessly.
“Well…” Yoongi pauses, eyes trailing over Hoseok’s body, I really like you, like really really like you and some days I just want you all to myself. Being around you makes me happier and I feel like i’m a better person then. Not to mention, I want to be able to - be allowed to - kiss you, hold your hand, cuddle you to sleep, fuck you senseless until the only thing you can remember is my name.
“I like you. In fact, I am gone for you. Actually I am so far into the deep end that I’m falling and I don’t know when it ends and all I see is you .” Yoongi spoke his very feelings out into the open, full of emotional conviction. Specifically, desperation and longing.
“I – fuck – Yoongi couldn’t you have just said it normally? Now if I just say I like you back it doesn't sound as impressive.” Hoseok nervously spews out. Yoongi smiles at him, fondness dripping from it. Excited, Yoongi shuffles in closer, his hands finding Hoseok’s and interweaving unthinkingly. His heart was beating out of his chest but he couldn't care less right now. Not when Hoseok practically just confessed. Overcome with euphoria, Yoongi blurts out, “does this mean you’ll kiss me now?”
Hoseok giggles timidly, hand unfortunately covering his mouth, “Hmm… I don’t know.” He tilts his head teasingly, “Will I?”
════════════════════
Yoongi leans in eagerly. Wanting to tease him further, Hoseok jokingly leans back and utters, “well, I’m tired so I’m gonna sleep, goodnight.”
He promptly turns around, lies down and covers himself with the blanket, holding back his laugh. Yoongi stops, baffled and slightly devastated. “Hoseok-ah, Hoseok – you can’t just – what.”
Hoseok covers his mouth with his hand. Struggling to quiet down the muffled laughter. Yoongi manages to hear them in the silence of the room and rolls his eyes, “Hoba-ah,” he whines. “Hob-ah stop being so unfair,” he holds the letter 'r' for a while like a petulant and needy child.
Hoseok’s laugh echoes in the room, Yoongi feeling endeared by it. He swiftly moves to pull Hoseok up, who is still laughing at the situation itself, feeling a bit overwhelmed. He hadn’t expected someone to fall for him, least of all Yoongi. Yoongi isn’t perfect, he’s got his fair share of flaws that Hoseok adores, but he’s a league above him. Or so he thinks. If Yoongi were privy to Hoseok’s thoughts about it, he’d vehemently disagree.
Yoongi tightly holds down Hoseok’s arms crossed in front of him, meanwhile Hoseok’s just laughing. Patience wearing thin due to his desire, Yoongi kisses him. His laughter subsequently dies down, placidly kissing back.
When they break apart to breathe, Hoseok comments, “you’re so cute, hyung.”
“Shut up.” Yoongi lets go of Hoseok’s arms, “you’re the one that was teasing me.” Hoseok grins joyfully. He grabs Yoongi’s face with his hands, “I can’t help that you’re so cute.”
Yoongi pouts. Hoseok kisses his nose, to which Yoongi shifts his face upwards and places his lips on Hoseok’s once again. They move against each other like the ebb and flow of water. Yoongi licked Hoseok’s bottom lip and the other opened his mouth right away, eliciting a satisfied hum from Yoongi. Greed shining through, Yoongi licked into his mouth, pushing Hoseok back into the bed. Yoongi’s hands instinctively found Hoseok’s, interlacing like satin red ribbons.
When they finally pulled away, Yoongi above Hoseok, he could see the dazed - almost glazed over look in the younger’s eyes, the two of them panting heavily. The sight made him want to ravish Hoseok whole, heat pooling in his gut. But the tired look in Hoseok’s eyes stopped him from doing just that. Blinking slowly, Hoseok yawned. “Sorry, hyung. I’m just so spent tonight.”
Yoongi kissed him on the forehead, lips lingering a second longer. “It’s okay, just sleep, angel.” Hoseok nodded languidly, eyes slowly falling shut. Yoongi shuffled to the left of him, left arm curling over Hoseok’s waist. He watched him fall into doze off, cut off from the world and its noise.
“So are we dating now?” Was the first thing that came out of Yoongi’s mouth when they had both awoken in bed, arms and legs entangled together. “Mmmm, I just woke up Yoongi…”
“That doesn’t answer the question,” Hoseok snorted. He turned to face him, softly pecking Yoongi on the lips, “I mean you said you liked me so much that all you could see was me so… It's up to you, babe .” Yoongi blushed.
“Shut – fuck – I hate you, shut up.” Hoseok giggled, head falling onto Yoongi’s shoulder. He nuzzled into his neck like a cat seeking affection, “Honestly, you should have said something earlier.” Yoongi groaned playfully.
“Yeah I didn’t think that all of my hints would go right over your head!” The incredulous tone in his voice was very clear, prompting a chuckle out of Hoseok. They laid together, silence wrapped around them. After moments passed, Hoseok swiftly got up, stretching in place. “Okay, get up, we’ve got shit to do.”
“Oh, we do?” Yoongi raised his eyebrows in question. “Yes, now come,” Hoseok stood up, “since we’re dating , we should go on an official date don’t you think.” Hoseok spoke cutely, emphasizing the word dating to tempt Yoongi. Luckily it worked, and they were both off to brush their teeth and grab some breakfast. And Yoongi, being the really ecstatic and hyper fixated person he is, kept sneakily kissing Hoseok any chance he could get. Even with his mouth full of toothpaste, which only resulted in Hoseok whining in protest.
“We’ve already been on a date you know,” Yoongi claimed, sipping his coffee as Hoseok browsed places to visit on his phone. “No, that doesn’t count.” Yoongi rolled his eyes affectionately.
“Ok so, Hyung –” Yoongi pecked Hoseok on the lips, “What do you think –” Another peck. “Mmph – about ice skating, oh! –” Kiss. “An aquarium would be nice righ—” Kiss.
“Hyung, listen to me,” He complained, only to receive another mouthful of kisses. Once Yoongi was done and appeased, he smiled mischievously, “okay, I’m listening.” Hoseok glared at him momentarily, before spouting off date ideas with excitement bouncing in his every word.
Despite pretending to be more interested in kissing Hoseok than the date, he was in fact, purely thrilled. Hence, the constant show of affection. Oh, and because he can just do this now. Take that, club guy!
Over the course of the next few weeks, Yoongi found himself to be completely enamored. He knew how cute Hoseok was from the day he met him. But it’s a losing battle, and Yoongi’s glad that he surrendered a long time ago.
Truth be told, Yoongi expected Hoseok to be very affectionate in public. That’s not to say that he isn’t but it tends to be more platonic affection rather than anything inherently romantic. When Yoongi had told the others that they were dating, all of them save Jimin reacted in surprise. Especially with how nothing much had changed outwardly. Hoseok had blushed shyly at their (over)reaction, evading their extremely nosy questions. They were sitting around the kotatsu, bundled in many blankets, plates of sushi sitting on the table.
At some point, Jeongguk had started ranting about this guy he was currently interested in who wasn’t getting the faintest hint. Reminded of Hoseok, Yoongi looked towards him, sitting right across from him. Feeling a pair of eyes on him, Hoseok glanced up at him through thick, black lashes, licking his lips to get rid of the residue of sauce. Fuck. Yoongi was aware that Hoseok probably wasn’t thinking much of what he just did, but god, did that entice him.
Yoongi had discovered that Hoseok was intoxicating. Whether he was shakily fumbling on an ice rink, hands reaching out, or pointing out cute little penguins and jelly fish, or even dancing to terrible club music under the influence. It wasn’t a shocking revelation, but it was concerning. Or to an extent, scary.
There were moments where Yoongi was afraid of the worst. Of being without Hoseok. Yet, everytime that problem arose in his mind. Somehow, Hoseok always knew how to get rid of, coincidentally or purposefully. Yoongi didn’t know if it was obvious by the look on his face or if it was just how Hoseok naturally was, but he found himself falling even more. Yoongi had barely been paying attention to the conversation around him, focusing on more important thoughts. Like the look on Hoseok’s face when he’s being alluring, voice coquettish and begging. Or the way he places his arms around Yoongi’s neck like he belongs there. Hips moving ever-so-slightly, but enough for him to feel it. Really feel it.
More time had passed than Yoongi had initially expected, before he knew it everyone was getting up to leave. Soon enough, Hoseok was the last one standing by the doorway, about to put his shoes on. “Aw, wait, are you going home too?”
Hoseok titled his head, doe-eyes wide open, “do you want me to stay?” Yoongi turned his head, mumbling incoherently which confirmed it for Hoseok. He laughed, a carefree grin on his face. Yoongi scowled, pulling Hoseok in as close as possible and kissed him. Hard.
Hoseok’s hands trailed up to wrap around his neck, lightly playing with the ends of Yoongi’s hair. Yoongi smirked against his lips, hands roaming on Hoseok’s body, pulling at the hem of the shirt. He slid his hands underneath the baggy t-shirt, sliding them up and down his chest and stomach tauntingly. Earning him a keen whine.
“Seok-ah…” Yoongi whispered against his lips, low and heated. Hoseok gasped when Yoongi bit his bottom lip, holding it between his teeth and tugging lightly. Letting go, his tongue entered Hoseok’s mouth, exploring him fervently. Yoongi shifted the two of them, hands tight on Hoseok’s waist, pushing Hoseok’s back to the wall. Knees weak and buckling, Hoseok slides down marginally leaving Yoongi towering over him.
“Hob-ah, bed - bed now,” He breathed, rough and heavy. Hoseok nodded, a whimper leaving his throat. Aware that Hoseok was probably fighting his headspace, Yoongi’s hands slid down to his thighs, holding on intently. Suddenly, he lifted him up and Hoseok’s legs wrapped around his waist, eyes blown wide. “Fuck, you’re so hot,” Hoseok murmured. Yoongi laughed gruffly, moving them to his bedroom.
Catching the needy look on Hoseok’s face exhilarated Yoongi, feeling the need to fuck Hoseok right there and then. As he laid Hoseok on his bed, he titled his head forward, lips tumbling into a heated kiss. “Hoseok,” Yoongi growled with need, Hoseok gazing at him with a dazed and flushed face.
“Mm – Yoon – Yoongi,” He rolled his hips, eyes half-lidded with lust. Yoongi used the grip he had on his thighs to spread them apart further, groaning at the friction between them. Yoongi’s hands immediately lifted his shirt off himself before grabbing onto Hoseok’s shirt and practically tearing it off. Yoongi started leaving open mouthed kisses on Hoseok’s jaw, slowly moving downwards onto his neck. Sucking a harsh hickey near his collarbone, the possessive need to mark him present. “F - fuck, Yoongi.”
Hoseok gasped, vulnerable in every sense. Yoongi absolutely adored the way he was willingly giving up control in this situation. Giving up the control he had accumulated over the years to establish himself as this person that’s in control to the full extent. Yoongi grinded against him, causing Hoseok to let out whiny moans that he enjoyed hearing. Because he was the reason for them. This was his effect on Hoseok, and he drank it up greedily. Hoseok parted his lips as if he was about to say something until Yoongi latched onto his nipple, his hand toying with the other one. Sensitive to the touch, Hoseok let out a high-pitched whine filled with need.
Yoongi continued his assault on his nipples until Hoseok was left moaning inaudibly, chest heaving. Satisfied with his work, he retracted to look at Hoseok, who looked completely wrecked. Ruined for others, his mind supplied, the same possessive urge creeping back up on him. Yoongi had felt the same way about himself, about how he’d been so utterly ruined by Hoseok that the idea of them possibly breaking up would leave him lost. All he can even register right now is HoseokHoseokHoseok –
Hoseok in his bed, Hoseok in his clothes, Hoseok beneath him. These mere thoughts gave his mind a good spin. Yoongi dragged his hands down Hoseok’s thighs, watching him shudder in anticipation, thighs shaking. Fuck, he loved his thighs. He’d spend hours marking them up if he could. Yoongi swiftly pulled off Hoseok’s gray sweatpants, his cock straining against his boxers. Yoongi palmed at his dick as Hoseok keened with a whine, arching his back shamelessly. Grinding his hips for more friction.
“Please,” Hoseok begged, gasping. Yoongi smirked at the quiet little gasps leaving his mouth, “tell me what you want, Hoseok.”
Hoseok stared back at him desperately, “You. Please - Ah” Hoseok flinched and moaned at Yoongi’s touch, “please, Yoongi-hyung, touch - touch me, please.” He repeated it over and over again. The feel of Hoseok unraveling under his touch makes him want to spend days just praising his worth to him.
“Okay, baby.” Yoongi complied, reaching forward to take off Hoseok’s boxers, playing with the waistband. Hoseok was a downright mess, panting, flushed fully, eyes glazed. “God,” Hoseok moaned, cock springing out into the cold, fully erect. The tip flushed a rosy pink, Yoongi’s hand covering his slightly twitching cock. Hoseok moved his hips once again to get Yoongi going, craving for his touch. Yoongi moved his hands slowly and earnestly, gazing at Hoseok - who was shivering at the touch, mouth open. “God, you’re so fucking pretty.”
Hoseok’s eyes snapped wide open, blush overtaking his features. Stroking him faster, Hoseok grabbed a fistfull of the bedsheet, breath hitching. Yoongi’s thumb swiped the tip of his dick, smearing his pre-cum. Hoseok watching him unfocused hazy eyes. “How do you like that, baby,” Yoongi’s voice went an octave lower, “good, huh? Fuck, you’re so perfect. You’re so fucking perfect for me.” Hoseok keened under the praise, head spinning.
“Hyung – hah – Hyung… Yoongi,” Hoseok stammered, “Yoongi, please, I need you, Yoongi—”
Yoongi leaned up to kiss Hoseok, letting go of his cock. Hoseok whined pathetically at the loss of friction, mouth opening to let Yoongi in. He sucked on his bottom lip, Hoseok moaning at the sensation. Parting, Yoongi whispered, “Okay, angel. Just wait.”
Yoongi reached over to the bedside table, opening the drawer to quickly retrieve the lube. He spread Hoseok’s legs, letting out a deep exhale at the unblemished skin just waiting to be marked up. Maybe another day.
“Fuck, fuck me, Yoongi, please, fuck me.” Hoseok begged, causing Yoongi to give him a feral grin. “Of course, Seok, I just need to prep you. baby. You can handle it, can’t you?”
Hoseok nodded repeatedly. “Just relax, love.” Hoseok drew in a shaky breath, body falling limp. Yoongi poured lube onto his hand, inserting a finger into Hoseok. He glanced up at him, watching him writhe in place, savoring his every whimper and moan. Gradually building the heat, he slid in another finger moving at a generous pace. “You’re taking my fingers so well, baby.”
Hoseok gasped, back arching. Having Hoseok open up for him was something so viscerally fulfilling that Yoongi was willing to drop anything for this. To have him for himself. Yoongi spread him open, Hoseok’s breath hitching at the intense feeling. “You like that, angel?”
“Yes – oh god, Yes!” Hoseok choked back a moan, his hips rocking around Yoongi’s fingers. “Fuck, I need you to fuck me, hyung, I can take it please –”
“Okay.” Yoongi spoke, voice raw. “Okay, are you sure?” Yoongi asked out of concern, considering this would be their first time fucking. Hoseok nodded, a small smile on his face, “I’ve had sex before, hyung. You don’t have to be so gentle with me.” Yoongi inhaled deeply, eyes falling shut.
Yoongi slides his fingers out, Hoseok whining at the loss. Yoongi grinned with teeth, something entirely feral, “you,” He growls, snapping his hips to grind against his ass, “are never going to think of anyone else again after I’m done with you.” Hoseok went scarlet, almost shy.
Yoongi quickly took off his slacks and boxers, cock exposed. He poured lube on it, taking it in his hand and lining it up to the rim of Hoseok’s asshole. He pressed himself against him, pushing in the tip of his dick. Hoseok cried out, hands gripping the sheets tightly. Yoongi shifted, slowly falling deeper into Hoseok. “You’re taking me so well, baby,” Yoongi said huskily, irrationally envious of the people before him. Hoseok dopily smiled up at him, vulnerable and open. Yoongi has never felt so much love before, but with Hoseok in front of him, lying like the goddess of pure sex appeal, Yoongi might just come without moving.
Deep inside him, Yoongi marveled at him being so close to Hoseok. Inside him the way he wished to be all this time. He rolled his hips gently, Hoseok gasping at the feeling. “Good?”
Hoseok nodded, breath heaving. “Move, hyung, move, i wanna feel – i wanna feel you –” Yoongi thrusted into him, moving in and out at a steady pace. “Fuck, baby, you look so pretty like this, all laid out for me.” Hoseok moaned, “yes, hyung, yes, yours – i’m – i’m all yours – fu—”
Yoongi started thrusting harder as Hoseok’s eyes started glazing over with pure pleasure, hitting him deeper. “You’re so gorgeous, god, Hoseok-ah, you’re mine.” All mine. Minemineminemine—
Yoongi’s thoughts trailed off, snapping into Hoseok with the right pressure. Thrusting into him, deeply, completely, filling him up entirely. Hoseok letting out tiny gasps of ah - ah - ah at every thrust, eyes screwed shut. Yoongi stopped, “Seok, look at me, baby, I need you to look at me.”
Hoseok’s eyes snapped open, wide, hazy and unfocused. Pleasure swimming in them. “Harder, hyung – fuck, harder…” Yoongi smirked maliciously, going back to the strong pace he built up, except this time, he was hitting Hoseok’s prostate with every other thrust. “Yoongi, Yoongi – kiss – kiss me.”
Yoongi leaned towards him, hips thrusting at the same rhythm, “Anything for you, baby.” He placed his lips against his, Hoseok’s mouth open from the constant pressure building up inside him. From having Yoongi inside him. Yoongi lightly sucking on his tongue, not letting up on his thrusts. Pre-cum spilling onto his stomach. He was obliterating him, pushing him into the mattress. The overly needy sounds of Hoseok pushing Yoongi over the edge, driving him insane. “I'm close - i’m close, angel.” Hoseok gasped, “hyung, please, cum inside – inside – please …”
Well, fuck.
Feeling so overwhelmed at the sensations, Yoongi could practically feel himself unwinding, hushed voice whispering praises over and over again. Hoseok gasping his name, relentlessly, “Yoongi, Yoongi, Yoongi…”
“That’s right, gorgeous, say my name – shit – look at you, baby so – so beautiful…” Yoongi was uttering incomplete praises, the pressure building up inside him. Hoseok came, Yoongi’s name on his lips along with a trembling sob. “You’re so – you’re so fucking sexy, holy shit, Seok-ah.” Yoongi was losing it, submerged into the pits of pleasure. He snapped his hips into Hoseok, with him writhing underneath, licking at his neck. Sucking lightly on the sensitive areas around his neck and collarbone. “Fuck—” Yoongi emptied himself in Hoseok, his orgasm leaving him blissed out.
Yoongi felt almost boneless, rolling onto his side. Hoseok’s left hand opened from the grip he had on the bed sheet, twitching and shaking. Yoongi twined his hand around Hoseok’s, bringing it up to his lips and kissing it languidly. Hoseok’s eyes were shining as they made eye contact, “you’re – hyung, fuck, you wrecked me.”
Yoongi smiles, the primal urge to claim Hoseok lit up like a fire inside him, “I gotta make sure my Seok-ah was getting what he deserved,” He kissed the side of Hoseok’s mouth, getting up to grab a wet towel and wiping the dried cum off him. Once he was done with that, Hoseok stretched out his arms like a needy child, only for Yoongi to throw him a shirt of his. Hoseok's lips twisted into a pout as Yoongi giggled at his reaction, dressing him in his shirt. Satiating his carnal desire to claim Hoseok.
Yoongi couldn't stop smiling, “do you know how long i’ve been dreaming about this, wanting this?” Hoseok blushed, bashfully avoiding his gaze. “Ah, hyung…” he trailed off helplessly.
Yoongi curled into Hoseok, nuzzling into his neck contentedly. Hoseok turned his body to face him, arm wrapping around him. They snuggled into each other, Hoseok beaming dazedly. They stared at each other, coming off their high together, giggling occasionally. Hoseok reached forward to tuck a loose strand of Yoongi’s hair, breath evening out. “I didn’t know you were so possessive, hyung.”
Yoongi tensed, looking at him warily, “It – it doesn’t bother you?”
Hoseok shook his head, “It’s rather endearing, how much you want me. Want me to be yours.”
“That’s because I’m already all yours,” Yoongi explained, voice slightly trembling, “since the day I met you, I was yours before I even knew it.” Hoseok blinked, gaze wide-eyed. He nuzzled into Yoongi’s shoulder, “I’m yours too, hyung,” he mumbled apprehensively.
Ecstatic, Yoongi hooked a finger under his chin, leaning in to kiss him deeply. Soft and filled with love, they kissed steadily. Pulling away, Yoongi’s eyes shone brightly, “I love you. ”
Time froze. Hoseok inhaled deeply, mouth gaping open. Taking that as his chance, Yoongi continued to kiss him, tongue exploring Hoseok’s mouth. “Mmph – wait—” Yoongi’s mouth moved against his, tenderly. “Hyung – mmph —”
Hoseok held onto his shoulders, and pushed him back. “You – I,” Hoseok had tears forming in his eyes, “Yoongi, I love you.” Yoongi stopped breathing, to which Hoseok started shaking him urgently.
“Hyung, say something!”
“You’re worth it. You’re so – shit, you’re so worth the wait, I fucking love you.” Hoseok chuckled, “Yeah well, you love fucking me too.”
Yoongi flicked his forehead, “Of course, who wouldn’t?” Hoseok sighed lovingly, nestling back into Yoongi’s shoulder.
“Okay, shut the fuck up now, let’s sleep.” Yoongi laughed mirthfully, “Okay, baby.” Sighing softly, the two of them fall asleep, wrapped around each other. Forever and endlessly, their fates entwined together. Just like that.
