Work Text:
On the days that Gerard wore a costume on stage, he really got into character. When it was a character he was especially excited about, the character occasionally appeared before the show even started. On the fourth day of their stint at the LA Forum, this was more true than it had ever been.
When Frank walked into the dressing room, Gerard was all dressed up, makeup done, Marina was just putting the finishing touches on their cape.
“Good evening, Frank,” they declared, in a strange Dracula accent.
Frank chuckled and shook his head. This was going to be a hell of a show. “Hey, Gee.”
Gerard bared his teeth at Frank to reveal his fake vampire fangs and hissed at him.
“Are you, uh, going to wear those during the show?” The fangs looked a little a la Party City, not quite matching the quality of the rest of their ensemble.
“No.” He popped them out with a sigh. “I can’t sing very well with them in.”
“So what’s the plan tonight?” Frank asked.
Gerard put the fangs back in, making faces in the mirror. “Will you come over after the show?”
“Anything in particular you have in mind?”
“Hmm,” Gerard was distracted, adjusting their body language, deciding how to carry themself on stage. “I’ll think of something.”
The door opened, and Mikey’s face appeared. “Five minutes, guys, Ray’s already ready. Static’s starting.”
Gerard sadly left his fangs on the counter, and then followed Frank out of the room. Frank was a few paces ahead of him when Gerard suddenly dashed to catch up to him, putting one hand on Frank’s throat and teasingly opened his mouth.
“Jesus, Gee, can we just focus on the show for now?” Frank pretended to be annoyed, trying to hide his smile from his lunatic partner.
The entire way down the hallway Gerard muttered to himself, in his Dracula voice. “Good evening, Los Angeles! Ve’re My Chemical Romance! Ve’re from New Jersey! I vant to suck your blood!” He twirled around, flourishing the cape. “Ah-ah-ah-ah!” He laughed, sounding a little like the Count from Sesame Street.
Gerard was always grateful for the brief extra moment he had to himself before the show started, when the other three were getting their guitars from the techs. It was just enough time for him to fully get into his stage headspace.
And then, they walked out on stage, opening the cape widely, putting on their best wicked smile. The energy from the crowd was wild, it always was, but they felt the shock as well. A vampire on Danger Days night? That was exactly the beauty of it.
Throughout the show, Frank saw Gerard making eyes at him. He struggled to tell if it was part of the character, or if Gerard was trying to communicate something. The lines frequently blurred during a set.
When Gerard started to get too sweaty and pulled the cape off, Frank pouted at Gerard. There was something so intoxicating about the whole ensemble today, that Frank was definitely sad to see it go. In response, Gerard’s expression at him was suddenly more purposeful. That instant, Frank knew that Gerard had a plan for that night, and it was going to be something insane. They could taunt him with this for the rest of the show, without even saying a word if they so chose. And Frank would have to keep it together and keep playing.
He barely managed to do so, and the crowd was none the wiser. After the show, Gerard gathered up his cape, and headed back to the dressing room like always, where they would typically ride the post show-high for a bit, and then head out to the bus together. But since they were in LA this week, they were free to drive themselves home after the show, or in Frank’s case, to Gerard’s house. Gerard made a show of yawning theatrically, grumbling about needing a good night’s sleep before the last show tomorrow, and then headed out to the parking lot.
Frank’s phone buzzed. [After I leave, wait for at least 20 minutes.] Normally it would be easy enough to shoot the shit with Ray and Mikey for twenty minutes, but the anticipation of what was waiting for him was almost too much to bear.
He watched the clock, barely contributing to whatever Ray and Mikey were talking about. They probably knew something was up with him, but he couldn’t be bothered to care. The moment the clock struck twenty past, he jumped out of his seat.
“G’Night, guys, great show, love you, see you tomorrow!” He gathered his things and started to bolt for the door.
“Hey, Frankie, where you headed? Gee’s?” Ray asked. Frank nodded.
“They were acting strange, too,” Mikey said. “Y’all good? You’re not having a weirdos’ lovers’ quarrel?”
Frank grimaced. “Yeah, I’m headed there. Nope, we are all good. Very good in fact.”
He dashed out the door before he had to face any more questions. He would tell Gerard that they had to be a little more subtle. He laughed aloud, like that would do any good.
He drove much too quickly on the freeway, luckily their house wasn’t too far from the arena, but every second felt like torture.
When he pulled up to the house, there was a sign on the door. Written in a blood-red dripping ink it said:
From the time you open this door, you have 30 seconds to live before I eat you alive. HIDE.
The red ink was starting to drip off the paper onto the pristine white door.
A smaller piece of paper beneath that read, in plain black pen, To safeword, turn on any light. Normally they relied only on the traffic light system, so something different was at play here.
Frank didn’t know exactly what kind of game Gerard had in store, but he had to be completely silent and deadly quick.
He took a moment to steady himself, opened the door, and found the house to be pitch black. Good thing he knew every inch of this place like the back of his own ever changing tattooed hands. He shut the door, and ran.
Suddenly, Gerard’s voice echoed all around him, as if he had set up some kind of speaker system throughout the entire house. “THIRTY. TWENTY NINE.”
It was the deep growl they frequently used on stage. It had never once bothered Frank before, but in this context, in the dark, it was disorienting. What the fuck was going to happen when he reached zero. Frank ran into the kitchen, cursing himself for not taking off his sneakers on the noisy hardwood floor. He tiptoed over to a carpeted room, and kicked his shoes off.
“TWENTY THREE. TWENTY TWO.” Fuck, that took too much time.
He ran upstairs, where there were more rooms and closets to hide in. As he made his way down the hallway, something brushed up against him. Maybe Gerard’s cape? There was no way to be sure, he couldn’t see a damn thing. It made him shiver.
“FIFTEEN. FOURTEEN.”
Frank made his way into one of the bedrooms, arms outstretched in front of him. His plan had been to hide in a closet, but backing into a corner also felt like a bad idea now. The new plan now was just to keep moving. He spent a few seconds weaving in and out of the other bedrooms before making his way back downstairs. He felt a chill on the back of his neck and had the sneaking feeling that he was being followed. As if Gerard was somehow right on his tail the whole time. Frank would have heard him though, right? And unless he had night vision goggles or something, there was no way Gerard wasn’t stumbling around just like he was.
He sprinted back downstairs. “FIVE.” His breathing accelerated, looking around wildly into the blackness, no idea what was coming next. “FOUR.”
His chest was heaving, tears starting to well up in his eyes. Why was he so scared? He was in Gerard’s house, for fuck’s sake. “THREE.” The person he trusted more than anyone in the whole world. “TWO.”
Maybe he could just leave? Which way was the front door? “ONE.”
Frank let out a sob, forcing his feet to keep moving, now completely lost his sense of direction. “ZERO.”
He collided with something, and his legs gave out beneath him. He felt a hand behind his head as he went down, luckily onto a plush rug. Gerard’s body collapsed on top of him, and they forced Frank’s head to the side for access to his throat.
“MINE,” he growled right into Frank’s ear before sinking his teeth into Frank’s throat. Frank gasped, knowing immediately that the pain was sharper than Gerard’s own teeth, which he was all too familiar with. He must still be wearing those pointy plastic fangs, and they hurt. Tears were starting to run down his face, mostly from the adrenaline.
Frank put his hands out, trying to feel what was happening on top of him. It was definitely Gerard, still fully dressed in the Dracula garb, the long cape flung across both of them.
Gerard pulled back for only a moment to drop the act. “Don’t forget your colors,” they whispered affectionately, kissing away the tears.
“Green, fuck, green,” Frank gasped.
“Good boy,” they praised.
He moved back down to Frank’s throat, letting the fangs slowly scratch all the way down to his collarbone. As he listened to Frank whine, he managed to get Frank’s shirt off and tossed it into the blackness.
Gerard finally decided it was time to get down to business. He took off his cape, as much as he loved it, it was starting to get in the way of practicality. He then undid his bowtie and used it as a makeshift tie around Frank’s wrists.
“Get up,” they ordered, dragging Frank up to his feet. They led him by the knot between his wrists back up the stairs towards their bedroom.
“Gee, please, what are you going to do to me?” Frank was less scared now, but his heart still pounded in anticipation.
They stopped walking to turn and lick Frank’s face. “I’m going to tie you up, suck your blood, and fuck your lifeless body.” Not once did they drop the horrific growl.
Frank had to admit he liked the sound of that, as his pants were starting to get tight.
Gerard threw him onto the bed, and immediately got to work restraining his wrists overhead. He then removed Frank’s pants and boxers, letting his erection spring free, but he paid no attention, instead tying his ankles so he was spread eagle tied to the four posts.
Frank's eyes were starting to adjust to the darkness a bit, but almost as if Gerard knew that, he tied a cloth over his eyes.
They went back to Frank’s throat, nipping at every inch of now exposed skin, the sharp plastic teeth leaving scratches everywhere they went.
“Ahh, yellow,” Frank tried to flinch away. “Can we get rid of the fangs?”
“Yes, baby.” He immediately tossed them on the bedside table. “Can I still bite you?”
“Fuck, yes, please.”
His real teeth felt so fucking good on his chest, his stomach. Frank could feel that they were dull enough not to break the skin, but Gerard was biting hard enough to leave bruises.
Frank sighed with pleasure.
Gerard made his way down to Frank’s legs, sucking and biting at the soft sensitive skin on the inside of his thighs. Frank’s moans got more desperate, as he writhed in his bonds as much as he could, but the knots held firm.
After Gerard was satisfied with the bite marks left across Frank’s skin, he withdrew, Frank whimpered at the loss of contact, turning his head blindly.
Gerard removed his blindfold, although it was still dark, Frank could see a faint silhouette of them undressing. He listened to Gerard rustle with the fabric of their costume, carefully undoing each button so as to not tear anything.
Frank giggled. “Can you imagine if Marina only knew what her work inspired?”
“I just sucked out all your blood, you’re supposed to be dead now,” Gerard teased as they climbed on top of Frank, letting the character falter for the first time.
“Oh, right, sorry.” Frank went limp under Gerard’s touch.
“How are you doing, Frankie? Can I keep you tied up?” Gerard asked, softly brushing his lips over the worst of the bruises.
“Yes, green.” Frank wiggled his fingers and toes, making sure everything was still comfortable. There was nothing he loved more than being completely at Gerard’s mercy.
The wild scene so far had them both impossibly wound up, already aching and ready to go.
Gerard reached up for Frank’s lips, soft and sweet, groaning softly as their cocks ground against each other. Without the use of his hands, Frank eagerly reached out with his lips to any bit of Gerard’s skin he could find. Gerard put one hand down to prep himself, and then Frank, without breaking the kiss.
They pressed themself into Frank’s body, sliding in easily. Frank arched his back as much as he could and whined. “Fuck…” he groaned between gritted teeth, “Needed you so badly.”
Gerard only sped up in response, planting wet kisses along Frank’s jawline. They sat up, so they could easily grasp at Frank’s cock, pleasuring him and they approached their own finish.
Afterwards, the exhaustion of the show and running around the house finally caught up with both of them. Gerard took great care to gently untie Frank’s ankles and wrists, massaging life back into his limbs. Gerard snuggled up next to him, pressing Frank’s head into his chest, rocking back and forth soothingly.
“I’m sorry for scaring the shit out of you earlier. I really didn’t want to make you cry,” Gerard said softly, and kissed Frank’s temple.
Frank laughed, “It’s alright, it was fun. Maybe not on show nights, but you’re free to scare me anytime.”
“Really? I almost called it off when I saw your face. You looked terrified.”
“Bullshit!” Frank sat up to smack him with a pillow. “You didn’t see shit, it was pitch dark!”
“Heheheh.” The growl laugh was back. “I think you’re forgetting, Frankie, I’m a vampire.”
