Chapter Text
Prologue
Snow, that was all that could be seen. It was dark and cold, too much for a little girl with hardly any clothes to wear.
She was lost in her thoughts while that man's hand guided her, she didn't even remember his face or who he was. It had been a long time and the memory was blurred. The only thing she knew for sure was what she felt, the coldest winter she could remember and those huge doors that landed on her eyes out of nowhere.
She had no idea when she had gotten there, but she still hadn't broken free of the grip. Suddenly the door opened revealing a servant who let them pass.
It smelled of death, blood, evil, and even a hint of cinnamon. It was a huge castle no matter where you looked and a luxurious one. It was something incredible in the eyes of the little blond-haired girl.
Then the being she would serve for the rest of her life appeared. A tall woman, almost three meters, white dress that marked her curves, short black hair covered with a large hat of the same color as her hair, came down the stairs with complete calm. The little girl only noticed the tension in the grip, but she wasn't afraid. When she arrived in front of them was when she realized the enormous difference in height and how she was looking at her.
She was a prey in her eyes.
"Is everything ready?" The man nodded and let go of the girl's hand to push her towards her. “I brought you what you wanted, she's young and far from clumsy. It will last you much longer than the rest of the servants you have.”
“Hm, perfect then. I thought you wouldn't fulfill your part of the deal.” She threw a bag full of gold coins. “Now go away and don't come back here unless you want to be my next victim.” He nodded frantically and walked like hell out of the castle gates. “Now.” She crouched down, remaining at the height of the astonished creature that kept looking at her. “What's your name little fawn?”
The girl stood still analyzing the words. Of course, she understood them, but she was not able to articulate anything. Then a gloved hand cupped her face lifting her face up to meet her owner's eyes. Golden eyes that seemed to devour her soul in seconds. “I don't like to repeat myself. Answer the question.”
“Elizabeth.” And what happened next was something that the vampire did not expect. An innocent smile towards her, the only one she would see from her until many years later.
“To you I will be Lady Alcina Dimitrescu. You will serve this castle under my and my daughter’s commands above anyone else. Is that clear?” The young woman who could very well be six years old placed her right hand on her heart and bowed in full respect.
“Of course, Lady Dimitrescu.” she answered completely hypnotized by that look.
Something that would last forever in her eyes.
