ANYWAY
Hiiii~ This will be my first ever TXT AU I post here so I’m very nervous.
I hope MOA will like what I have to offer! I know female ocs aren’t common, but I didn’t want to leave Kai loveless or the fifth wheel. Nothing wrong with being loveless/single/aromantic and such lol but I felt like sharing my little KaiWoo ship that I’ve been writing offline. Jiwoo is not to be mistaken as other idols named Jiwoo, I just happened to pick her name to match Wonwoo’s before I knew there were female idols named Jiwoo out there, she’s just a totally relatable wallflower lol
I don’t want to ramble too much here in the beginning, but I do hope you guys will like my story~! It’s gonna be a long one but I hope it’ll be worth it in the end.
And thanks to my beta readers who helped me figure this out and for talking me into posting it… still nervous to post but I’ll get over it… maybe…
*my betas thinking after all this time she still has no confidence whatsoever!?*

For now I’ll try to post once a month, but I’m bad at sticking with schedules so if it changes I’ll just say something!

So, I wanted to take a shot at a Social Media AU with this story, but as I added in the narration bits.... well it got out of hand real quick, so itll be a mix of both! The socmed aspect won’t be the main focus, but it will help me get through some dialogue bits that can be hard to write out sometimes.
Sometimes I struggle with describing characters, so this will kinda help me just for the beginning part at least.
Choi Yeonjun (25)
Fashion Major: Mother Hen (a joke of course) to his two precious baby chicks, Jiwoo and Taehyun. Is often protective of the people he loves and a social butterfly. A total flirt but is loyal to his beloved Soobinnie who he met through mutual friends. Is pretty chill and goes with the flow, often teased as being old and wise, funny because it’s the truth. In his final semester.
Choi Soobin (24)
General Studies: Copy and paste from Yeonjun, living the parallel life of his boyfriend but instead of two calm and cute baby chicks (or kittens) he’s got two chaotic puppies wreaking havoc any chance they get. The couple often compare their lives and have a good laugh, joking about swapping places sometimes. But to their surprise, their worlds end up merging in the end before they have a chance to blink. Has two semesters left.
Choi Beomgyu (23)
Photography Major: Beomgyu has always been a bit of a goofball growing up, it’s precisely why he’s the mood maker in his little group of friends. He often tries to keep the spirits high whenever he’s around, but he can’t help but feel lonely sometimes whenever he hears his oldest friend Choi Soobin talk about how in love he is with his new boyfriend Choi Yeonjun on his twitter feed.
As the saying goes, once your friends start dating, the less and less you see of them. It makes him and his younger friend Huening Kai feel like the third and fourth wheel at times. Beomgyu tends to make fun of them for it, but the Yeonbin couple stay unbothered regardless.
You could say Beomgyu has had a hard time finding love throughout the years. All this love to give and no one to give it to, what the hell? At times he’s discouraged of pursuing relationships, knowing anytime he does it never ends well. Either the feelings aren’t mutual or the guy ends up being straight, he just can’t win and often wants to give up and become an anti-romantic. At least his love for art is growing and temporarily fills that void. That’s until he bumps into (quite literally) a handsome prince and everything changes.
Kang Taehyun (22)
General Studies: Taehyun is mature but knows how to have fun when appropriate. Is undecided on his major yet and is going with the flow but has found interest in music and literature. Just got out of a four year relationship with ex-girlfriend Jeon Jiwoo. They started as friends in middle school and their love blossomed throughout high school. Unfortunately, it didn’t last but they decided maybe they’re better off as just friends. The breakup was mutual and they remained close afterwards.
Their relationship was transparent as could be, and over the years Taehyun noticed he was attracted to men too. Because of how accepting Jiwoo was of his confused feelings, he really cherishes her as his special person, next to Choi Yeonjun who’s been a part of their little trio over the years. He looks up to Yeonjun as an older brother figure and seeks out advice from time to time, but usually Taehyun knows what he’s doing anyways and doesn’t need it, so he thought.
When encountering a cute guy in the new year, he’s struck with those familiar feelings of falling in love. It’s quite confusing and scary when he doesn’t believe in love at first sight, but he supposes there’s a first time for everything.
Jeon Jiwoo (22)
Art Major: Just your typical wallflower who loves music and art. She’s everyone’s silent cheerleader, often avoiding attention in public and dresses like a shadow figure (it’s just the cape coat she got from Taehyun that she loves wearing), the many times she’s scared the living daylights out of Choi Yeonjun is too many to count.
She has a general dislike for people due to social anxiety and bullies but has exceptions of course. Prefers texting over calls and avoiding in person interactions at all cost, with the exception of school and her childhood best friend Huening Kai. Is a homebody and spends most of her free time doing art or stalking (joking) her favorite people on twitter.
Just got out of a four year relationship with Kang Taehyun which was bittersweet, but as long as they’re happy, that’s what she values most. Often wonders if she’s better off being alone and never falling in love again, the terrible struggles of being pessimistic as hell. Is currently taking life one day at a time.
After graduating highschool and entering college, Jiwoo thought she was done making friends and finding love, but after moving back to the big city after transferring colleges before her next semester, she meets a few new faces that spice up her twitter feed as well as help her come out of her little shell.
Huening Kai (22)
Music Major: Kai’s first love has always been music… and his plushie collection. But in all seriousness, he’s been the type who struggles to open up to others about his feelings even though he listens to his friends and their troubles whenever he can. He’s always putting others before himself and that seems to be costing him lately.
Unfortunately, he’s just gone through a nasty breakup with his ex-girlfriend of one year, and fears he might never get over it despite it’s been a few months already. He’s losing hope and isn’t sure what to do, yet he’s really good at hiding his struggles. He wonders if romance just isn’t for him?
On the other hand, Huening Kai is baby and is precious and must be protected at all costs! His older friends often look out for him, but that doesn’t mean they don’t tease him from time to time, especially over how new he still is to twitter. The most he’s learned is how to compose a tweet, reply to a tweet, retweet and quote a tweet. But as far as the lingo goes…
With life challenging Kai, he begins to question what is love after reuniting with his childhood best friend, and also, what the heck is an oomf on twitter?

There aren’t profiles for other characters because it’s too much to keep track of so the ones shown here are the ones we’d see the most throughout the fic. But if I do decide to make some profiles for certain scenarios that take place on twitter in the AU then I will update this Introduction section.

TXT are divided up into two groups of three, with the addition of the female OC Jiwoo.
Taehyun, Yeonjun and Jiwoo.
Beomgyu, Soobin and Kai.
They did not go to the same highschool, but due to Kai and Jiwoo being friends, Yeonbin met, but Taegyu have not and are somewhat strangers upon first meeting just so it’s not so confusing at the start. Beginnings are difficult to execute.
Twitter bios are song lyrics, most of this is probably going to be heavily inspired by music!
I actually, uh, have a playlist I made on Spotify for this fic, like an unofficial OST so you can check it out if you want!
I keep adding songs despite trying to keep it short, but I'm sure it's fine LOL I listen to a lot of music...
You might recognize song lyrics and titles used in the story or as the chapter title so have fun with that!
I do want this AU to be short but not too short, long but not too long... a decent slowburn if you will lol

This will be pretty angsty, cause if TXT Chaos Chapters and Thursday’s Child albums weren’t angsty af… but I'll try to have a good balance between all the angst and the comedy because... oooof we don't want to be sad all the time right?
There might be references from their songs at some point. Some swearing here and there but will try to keep it tamed lol. This story will have mentions of mental health and thoughts of suicide due to depression so if you’re easily saddened or triggered by stuff like that, don't read or read at your own discretion and please take care of yourself~!
