Poisonous Stardust

Summary:

So curious. He has heard of him left and right, down and up, but never had the chance to see for himself. And now that he's right there, aware of nothing but his own business, he realized he's been much more than curious. He craved.

Kiryu should have known. From the way he looked at him, the way he said his name, he should have known he was going to try killing him. Well, that's what he thought at first. But now he knows, that's what he should've have wished for instead.

Chapter Text

Ah, there he is. He was afraid he may have gotten too far. The one opportunity of his life being taken away completely...

Because of this worthless minion.

Whatever. He'll punish him soon enough. Now, he is way too entranced by the marvelous yet so hilariously normal view.

The Dragon of Dojima, Kiryu Kazuma, sitting comfortably on a cushion of a casual restaurant with three of his friends. Joon-Gi can recognize one of them. He bought, well, took, Stardust from him and the ex-owner.

Oh, he's definetly talking about him.

Joon-Gi can feel a shiver running through his whole body. It's not the cold of the night, despite his so open attire. He's excited.

And mad. Really mad at the pathetic moron that is following him like a dog. Well, not that he has much choice. And he needs him for this. He needs to show Kiryu.

The servant seems slightly irritated and worried, but also satisfied. Does he think Joon-Gi is gonna take his parts? Ah, these newbloods, they never know enough. Although, some people just never learn. No worries. Joon-Gi is a nice teacher. He makes sure you don't forget.

Too much time wasted. They enter.

The servant goes first. Joon-Gi likes to make an entrance.

"You never change, Kiryu-San!" Yuya's relief and happiness is obvious in his face, eyes, and in his only his huge smile. Kiryu is so glad he ran into him, the current situation worrying everyone. He wishes he could've ran into Kazuki too, but he is totally relieved to know that Yuya and him remained in touch, still fighting to get Stardust back. Still, they know it's not time to shoot yet.

"When Kazuki gets Stardust back, will you go back to work with him?" Kiryu asks, but he knows the answer. He just wants to hear it nice, loud and clear.

"Of course! I'm the only one worthy of being Kazuki's right-hand man!" oh, this adorable man...

Such a nice friend. Even Kiryu knows to keep him at heart.

"Mph, guess that what you said to me earlier applies to you too." Kiryu can't help but smirk.

"Mh? And what was that?"

"You never change." it's a full smile now. A rare sight from Kiryu. And it gets one set on Yuya's face half a second later.

They're having a moment. Too bad it doesn't last long.

The door slides opens.

They all turn their heads to see the bouncer from before.

"Hey, it's him. He's the guy who tossed Yuta outta that club."

And he's not alone. Another man comes through. Smiling.

"Hey, the yakinuku is great here, huh?" That smile is malicious.

"The smell is to die for. And isn't the meat perfect is every way?"

Who is this guy?

He stops, standing tall right in front of the table, as if he owned the place. He probably thinks so.

"Sorry to interrupt your meal. I'm the proprietor of Stardust. The name is Han Joon-Gi."

Oh...

"As I heard it, you graced my club with your presence earlier today..."

He goes to gently grab his minion's face. He realized too late it was trouble. Joon-Gi shoves his face right into the grill.

An agonizing scream pierces through the almost empty and comfy restaurant. Not so comfy anymore. Nagumo, Yuta and Yuya jump on their feet surprised. Kiryu remains unfazed. Well, almost. He looks angry.

"Only to have this imbecile turn you away at the door!"

"Wh-what the hell're y'doing?!"

This man is crazy.

Not a first. But still...

Something is off.

He finally let's go of his poor victim, a tremendous burn on his face. And then he shoves him on the ground like he is nothing. The injured bouncer left whimpering on the floor.

"If you're interested, can I make up for his discourtesy?"

"Kiryu Kazuma-San."

Well, what an introduction. Hell no.

"A few days ago, I've heard you had returned to Kamurocho." Of course he did. This man could go take a shit and everybody would know.

"It's a great honor to meet you. I hope you have time to drop by Stardust after this. I'd love to show you the club."

"You're pretty insistent on this. Have we met somewhere before?" What do you want?

"I'm just an ardent fan of yours. Is that a problem?" the devilish smirk and raised eyebrow interpreted it as a provocation. And it was, but it wasn't a lie either.

Joon-Gi shivers at the proximity. He is so much more beautiful and strong from up close. So close he could just touch. Stoic, but still Joon-Gi wonders if he was able to make Kiryu shiver like he made him. If not, he will soon enough.

Thinking too far ahead already. He needs to be more careful.

"I'm actually glad to hear it. I have some questions for you." they're already in for the ride at this point.

"Oh?" Joon-Gi is actually quite surprised. You've been looking for me?

"O-oh he's right. Is there a guy named Tatsukawa workin' over at yer club? We got a bone t'pick with him!"

Nagumo butts in. Don't blame him. The tension is way too heavy.

Joon-Gi doesn't take his eyes off Kiryu despite Nagumo talking to him. But he has the decency to give him a quick disinterested answer.

"I'll answer your question later. First you'll have to accept the invitation I've extended to you. Is that all right?"

Oh, I see.

"Yeah, we'll be there soon. Wait for us over at Stardust."

"Perfect. In that case, I'll see you shortly." he then leaves, not without giving Kiryu one last suspicious smile and having his subordinate follow wobbly behind him.

"Kiryu-San, that guy is part of the Jingweon. He's the one that bought Stardust from us."

"Right." He figured.

"Are you sure you want to meet him?" obviously, Yuya is worried.

"We have no choice. We need to know what really happened to Haruka." Kiryu finally gets up, smiling reassuringly at Yuya.

"Figures. There is no point arguing. You really are the same as always." they smile. "I'm glad we got to see each other again. Take care, Yuya."

"Of course. Same to you, Kiryu-San." They bow.

Until next time.

Notes:
